"The location is good for the people who will take train in early morning. I would say it is a satisfied place to live, with a huge common area."
GGuest UserWe had a great stay at the Crown Spa Hotel. All the staff were super friendly, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were clean and fresh, we had a sea view. Meals in the Restaurant were very good value and excellent quality.
We had treatments in the Spa, the Girls were super friendly, welcoming and chatty.
We will certainly be returning.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a great place, The aesthetic is perfect for the building. If you are disabled you may want to give this hotel a miss, as even if you specifically ask to be near a lift when you book they may put you in a room with no lift access at all, and the staff are not very helpful or accommodating even when you have a disability that is affected by stairs.
The queue to check in was over 50 minutes even though we tried to check in much later than 3pm. The hotel has a lot of stairs, the room was not spotlessly clean but adequate and came with all the basic requirements. The view from the windows was great. Overall this is an ok budget hotel that is only suitable if you are able bodied and can deal with a large number of stairs.
DDede.xiansenThis hotel has great style! From the interior design to the cocktails, everything was excellent. Although breakfast isn't a buffet, there are plenty of options, very local and English. The hotel even has a basement that served as a shelter during WWII and has now been converted into a spa – very cool, definitely worth checking out. The hotel pantry also offers complimentary snacks, fruits, and drinks. It's truly good, and the location is fantastic. The record player and vinyl records in the room are a wonderful touch.
GGuest UserPerfect location for a sightseeing trip to York, with car parking. The hotel was gorgeous, beautiful room (we had blenheim suite), huge copper bath in the bedroom (bring your own bubble bath!), super comfy bed, beautifully decorated room. Reception staff lovely and very knowledgeable of local area. Lovely bar too with friendly staff, a range of boardgames available which was fun. Breakfast room had a great Churchill theme ( brilliant top/bowler hat lighting). Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a really lovely stay.
TTuya22We had a small issue with the twin bed upon arrival, but the front desk staff resolved it quickly and was very kind. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The sea view during breakfast was beautiful and made the morning especially enjoyable.
GGuest UserStayed one night because of the marathon the next day. The staffs were friendly and procedures like Checkin are convenient. Great location, close to the station and hotel. However, the inability of the air conditioner to heat up made the room less comfortable. But I stillI had a good rest here and set a PB in the race the next day, so it was a good stay overall.
GGuest UserLovely hotel close to town, quick friendly check in
Big room with plenty of storage and shower room . Sadly my room wasn’t very clean, found dirty tissue under dresser.
Spa facilities amazing and 1hr free use each day if stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel rooms are quite run down especially where we were right at the back Room 45. We had no remote to use the Air Conditioning during the hottest days we’ve had this year. Went to reception and they said someone would be with us in 15 minutes. Waiting 45 but we had a restaurant booking in the city so could not wait around. Water in the shower randomly goes scolding hot .
Not a hotel I’d return to unfortunately which is a shame because most other Doubletree hotels I’ve stayed in have been great.
GGuest UserOverall a great stay, staff very attentive and friendly, executive breakfast good.....2 downsides..very firm mattress and no power points by bed......plus I also think charging guests £15 a night for parking is a bit naughty....I'd suggest £15 per stay for guests staying 2 nights or more....
GGuest UserHad a fantastic weekend in York with old friends from afar.. the Radisson York is well located for a great trek around the City .. restaurants and great pubs are all well within comfortable walking distance.
The hotel as a great bar for the last nightcap the buffet breakfast is brilliant .The hotel is located on the river with great views of some of the night life and during the day just to relax..
My next time in York will be with the Radisson..and it also offers good parking which is very secure albiet it does come on first come basis.. but overall this hotel is excellant.. thankyou Radisson.
