⭐ Family Stay Review: Aryaduta Pekanbaru
We recently stayed at Aryaduta Pekanbaru for a family trip, and while the hotel has a good location and a well-known brand, our experience was below expectations.
👥 Front Desk Experience
The check-in process was disappointing. The front staff were not friendly, and there was very little warmth or hospitality. Even though our room was already ready, they were very strict about only allowing check-in after 3pm, which made things inconvenient—especially for families travelling with children or elderly.
🏨 Room Condition
The hotel is quite old, and it shows.
• The room had a noticeable old smell when we entered.
• The toilet wasn’t very clean, and water leaked out into the room area, which was uncomfortable and unsafe for kids.
• Overall, the upkeep and cleanliness were not at the standard we expected.
🏊 Facilities
We went to the pool area but found no staff at the pool counter, which made it difficult to request towels or assistance. The pool area itself is decent, but the lack of staff presence made it feel unmanaged.
📍 Location
The hotel is in a convenient central area, close to malls and food outlets, which is the main positive point.
⸻
⭐ Overall Rating: 2.8/5
Aryaduta Pekanbaru has potential because of its location and brand, but the hospitality, cleanliness, and maintenance need significant improvement. For families, the strict check-in policy, room condition, and lack of staff attention made the stay less comfortable than expected.
This review reflects our genuine experience, and we hope it helps the hotel improve and guides other travellers planning their stay.

I stayed at Hotel Dafam Pekanbaru in a Superior Room, and overall the stay was quite comfortable. The room provided was originally a twin bed, which was then combined into one large bed to accommodate my request for a king-size bed. The room size felt just right—not too small and not too spacious. I was able to perform prayers comfortably inside the room, and there was still a sofa available for relaxing, which made the room feel practical and cozy. I stayed in a non-smoking room, so the atmosphere was clean and pleasant.
Breakfast was fairly varied, featuring local traditional snacks from Pekanbaru as well as lontong sayur, a well-known local dish. Everything tasted good and offered a nice introduction to local flavors. Another great advantage is that the hotel is located near a mosque, making it very convenient to attend congregational prayers. Overall, Hotel Dafam Pekanbaru is a good choice for a comfortable stay with convenient facilities and easy access to nearby worship places.

Basic hotel for one night stay. Friendly staff, clean, nice room! Walking distance to Masjid Agung. Travelling around - you can opt for GRAB Bike if you are too lazy to walk, otherwise, no issue to walk around exploring the streets and alleys.

bnprasetioThere is some upgrade on their tv’s, near wingstop. Would be great if deposit can be paid by card, so you guys didn’t need to tell us, the customer, to get the cash from ATM’s outside the hotel. Just imagine, you came across the island, come to hotel, and sent back to outside just to get a money for deposit? Fr dude

Safety LoverThe service quality is good. However, the lack of a direct lift from the parking area for guests staying here is quite inconvenient, especially when carrying children's items or traveling with elderly people, as you have to use the stairs. Also, prayer mats are not provided in the room.

Decent hotel, clean enough, comfie linen, staff are friendly but sadly the shopping mall next door is not the best. Walking distance to Living World shopping mall.

overall it was a good experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is also convenient and easy to access.
Everything was okay during my stay. It’s a nice place to stay if you are visiting Pekanbaru for business or a short trip.

Anonymous UserOverall, it's good value for money, but there are some downsides. There was no hot water for showering. The front desk service was very welcoming, which is why I insisted on staying there. The only downside was the lack of hot water. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was cleaner than other hotels, and not damp. If you don't mind the lack of hot water or the not-too-cold water, it's a good option.

Guest UserThe service at this hotel is lacking, and the breakfast menu isn't as varied compared to its competitor, The Zuri. You have to wear a swimsuit to go swimming, otherwise, you'll be told off. Seriously, who carries a swimsuit everywhere? This will definitely be my last time here.
