Jiufen Old Street Seaview Homestay (next to the family mart, 1 min walk to the old street))

The hotel is super close to the old street, which is really convenient. It's also right next to a Family Mart, so you don't have to worry about getting hungry with nowhere to go. It was my first time staying in Jiufen, and it was a unique experience. The soundproofing isn't great, but I'd still consider staying here again if I had the chance. However, the cleanliness of the duvet and duvet cover could definitely use some improvement.

【Access/Location】 • **Excellent Location**: Super close to everything – bus stops from Taipei and Ruifang Station, convenience stores, and the entrance to Jiufen Old Street (just a 1-minute walk after getting off the bus). • **Exceptional Convenience**: Being near the Old Street entrance means you can quickly return to your room even if you're tired from sightseeing. 【Check-in System】 • **Smooth Entry**: After sending a message upon arrival, you receive a message with the door and key box passcodes, and your room number, allowing for easy, contactless check-in. • **Building Access**: You enter through the door next to the convenience store. 【Room and Facilities】 • **Spaciousness and View**: While the building itself is old, the room is spacious with a large window offering an expansive, open view. • **Well-Equipped**: Features two double beds, two air conditioners, a YouTube-compatible TV, two sofas, a mini-fridge, bath towels and hangers (for the number of guests), and a hairdryer. • **Shared Facilities**: A hot and cold water dispenser is available near the stairs. • **Bathroom**: Shower water pressure was excellent with no issues (shampoo and body soap provided). 【Breakfast】 • **Complimentary Breakfast**: The next morning, sandwiches and tea bags are provided in a box near the stairs, and they are delicious! 【Points of Concern (Minor Negatives)】 • There were small ants. • The bathroom fan was very loud. 【Overall Rating】 Despite a few minor concerns, the location, comfort, and smooth system made it an "absolute gem and highly satisfying" stay! I would definitely want to stay here again when I visit Jiufen. Thank you!!

There's a partnered parking lot, which costs extra, but it's very close to the B&B. It's also really close to the old street, and there's a FamilyMart convenience store upstairs, making it super convenient and great value for money. We stayed in the 4-person room on the 3rd floor, and the sound insulation from upstairs wasn't great – we could hear luggage being dragged around. 😅 The room was clean, but it would be even better if there was a small stool next to the dining table. The view from the window was beautiful~

The scenery is beautiful, and you don't have to jostle with crowds to enjoy it. You can simply relax in your own bed and admire the blue sky, white clouds, mountains, and sea views. It's wonderful at any time of day – morning, evening, night, and in all kinds of weather, whether it's sunny, rainy, or foggy!

The hygiene was so-so. The wall behind the bathroom door was visibly unclean at the top. There was also a small puddle on the floor to the right when entering (like a spilled drink). However, the staff had a great attitude.

The location is good, but the entrance to the accommodation was hard to find and I had to contact the owner to get directions. Breakfast was a packed sandwich. The sea view from the second-floor room wasn't very clear. Overall, the owner was very attentive and took good care of us.
