I've always been a big fan of Dormy Inn, and this was my first time trying their premium series. Beyond the all-tatami flooring throughout the building and the cypress *onsen* bath directly in the room, it wasn't vastly different from a standard Dormy Inn. In fact, the room was quite small. I actually quite liked the minimal room service – they only needed to provide fresh towels. After all, once my luggage was open, there was barely any room to stand.
The hotel is a bit far from Toyama Station. While this isn't a major issue for those driving, there aren't many dining options nearby, so you'll still need to head to the station area for food. The Glass Art Museum, on the other hand, is very close and definitely worth a visit, especially since the tickets are super affordable. And the breakfast, as usual, was absolutely superb!
The hotel facilities are a bit dated but clean and well-maintained. The public bath on the 2nd floor features three soaking pools, along with complimentary popsicles and drinks. An evening soak there was wonderfully effective for relieving fatigue.
The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. One front desk staff member spoke Chinese, which made communication very smooth.
The hotel is within walking distance of Toyama Station, though it's not a very short one (about 10-15 minutes on foot). A bus stop directly outside the hotel offers routes to Toyama Station (210 yen for adults, three stops, approximately 5-6 minutes). However, I had trouble figuring out which bus to take from Toyama Station *to* the hotel's vicinity (Sogawa Station).
Toyama Castle Park and the Glass Art Museum are nearby, and a Daimaru Department Store and a 7-Eleven are conveniently located just across the street. All in all, the location is quite convenient.
Honestly, I don't know where to start. I'm completely touched by my experience at this hotel. First, the rooms are clean, big, surrounded by nature, greenery, and a beautiful lake that you can observe for a perfect morning scenery. Secondly, the facilities are top notch! Everything is clean! All facilities are provided to you with great quality; clean floors, perfect white clean towels, the hot spring water is clean, the pools are clean, the shampoo and body wash liquids smell amazing! (Like the baby colon your mother would give you as a child with the blue rounded top!) AMAZING! However, I had a very special interaction with one of the staff who deserves a medal for being so responsible and ensuring that her guest was in good hands.
Unfortunately, I got sick one morning while I was checking out. I was having an anxiety / panic attack that made me really disoriented. I didn't feel safe driving afterwards and I requested for the ambulance to be called. The kind and beautiful lady at the front desk handled all my paperwork, and ensured clear communication between doctors and nurses. After getting a physical check at the hospital for 2 hours, the results came back fine. There was no problem at all, however, the lady from the hotel staff was still there to see me out and ensure that I was safe and ok to drive. She was amazing! Thank you a million times for providing a fantastic place to stay, but also for taking great care of me!
( I don't have any pictures of the hotel because pictures aren't allowed to be taken within the hot springs, but trust me when I say, everything looks just as it is in the pictures. ) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
The hotel I chose for my trip to Toyama.
The location is okay, though it's still a ten-minute walk from the JR station.
But the main attractions are all nearby, making it quite convenient.
This seems to be a chain only in the central region; this was my first time staying there.
The large public bath on the rooftop is quite nice, with four pools and a sauna.
The price is also quite good.
The hotel is a bit old, with 🔑 door locks, but the cleanliness is good.
Close to Uozu station. Hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a coffee machine opposite the reception. There are two public baths in the women's section. Very nice. The best is the free noodles from 9.30-10.30 pm, which is very comforting for travellers. They give out 50 bowls, so make sure you are there if you want to enjoy it. I booked my breakfast there since breakfast starts at 6:30am. There is not much around for breakfast if you are taking an early train to visit the Kurobe Gorge. The food at the hotel was delicious. I was full.
A highly recommended hotel.
Awesome hotel, I didn’t see a high rating when I booked Ctrip. I have been hesitating to make a reservation. However, the B&B in Baichuan Township is a wooden house structure that is too old. I chose this hotel. The hot springs are superb and the rooms are clean and looks like It didn't take long for the decoration, everything was very new, and I will definitely visit again in Shirakawa Township next time.
Stealth place, scenic spot
The accommodation needs to check in by yourself. The key lock also needs to call through Japan to ask for the accommodation password. It is better to have more preparation.
Parking location
5 rooms share 2 large shower rooms, there are wind couples in the shower rooms, and a small hot spring with wind couples on the sea. It is very private and very good.
Accommodation can rent his kitchen or cook with the accommodator
The room is very comfortable
When I first entered the hotel lobby, I was awed by the river view and the melody of the music. Our room had a beautiful view of the entire river, and the breakfast was delicious without being overly extravagant, so I decided I had to stay there when I came to Toyama. However, I screamed when I saw a silver bug crawling around in the morning. The bug was so disgusting, I couldn't help but be startled. Upon closer inspection, I saw a dead one in the bathroom. I took a picture and told the lobby staff, and they just laughed, not seeming particularly surprised. The thought of that bug crawling around makes me reluctant to go back there again.
This is our first rayon. General impressions are great!!! Very interesting experience. Staff very, very straight-a-friendly. Food is fresh seafood, rice, local soups. You can't say it is not delicious. Delicious. It's a lot of it, but after the third table like this, you want something with the pasta:)))) the room was cleaned every day. There is a transfer to the station. The view from the window is beautiful. In general a quiet place designed for resting with the soul and the body!!!

NnanaThe pick-up service was quite timely. The Japanese-style room was relatively large. The hot spring had an outdoor area. The indoor hot spring area was quite large. The outdoor water felt very good for the skin. It was slippery after soaking. You could enjoy the scenery while bathing. The hotel provided yukatas of various colors, which you could wear to take pictures in the snow. There were no small shops in and around the hotel. Unlike some large hot spring hotels that have many supermarkets like 7/11, there was no place to go shopping when you were free.

可可乐崽崽爱吃罐罐An old-style Japanese hot spring hotel
The hotel service is very good. If you need to go to the ski resort, you can book a hotel car to pick you up
The room is large and equipped with a hot spring yukata
The hotel food is delicious
The hotel has a shuttle service to and from Tateyama Station. You can call to make an appointment
Opposite the hotel is Tateyama Ski Resort, which is highly recommended
The room is very clean and the scenery is also very good
It is worth coming again
