Dreamly628The rooms at the InterContinental are, as always, spacious. Although the fixtures and fittings are a bit old, they're clearly well-maintained. My only minor complaint is the faucet in the bathroom sink; I didn't like the way it operated. Also, with such a long countertop, it's a shame they didn't install two sinks when it was first renovated. The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to Zhongshan Square. The buffet for hotel guests is excellent value for money and offers a good variety – definitely worth trying.

There aren't many hotel options at Jinshitan, and only a few good ones. After much deliberation, I chose Hard Rock. Overall, it's not the most luxurious, but the quality is decent and it offers good value for money.
Let's start with breakfast. While the variety isn't huge, the quality is good, especially the coffee, which tasted great. There was always someone available to serve coffee.
The room was very clean, and the sea view from the ocean-view room was excellent.
Overall, the service from Yi Yangqianxi at the front desk was great, and I was satisfied with my room.

This time, I brought my family and kids to Dalian, and we decisively chose to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dalian. This five-star hotel, highly praised by previous generations, truly lived up to its reputation. The accommodation experience throughout our trip far exceeded expectations. From its prime location and excellent room amenities to the meticulous and thoughtful service, everything left a deep impression. It's truly a Shangri-La!
The Shangri-La Hotel is situated in the core business district of Renmin Road, boasting a unique geographical advantage. It's close to Zhongshan Square, very near the subway station, and surrounded by a wide array of restaurants and shopping malls. Taking a taxi to popular attractions like Donggang and Xinghai Square is incredibly convenient, saving time and effort for both leisure and business. Its transportation advantage is truly outstanding.
As a long-established five-star hotel in Dalian, despite its age, it's evident that the overall maintenance is superb. The cultural ambiance is remarkably rich! Upon entering the lobby, you're greeted by a grand and steady decor with elegant style and soft lighting, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The concierge staff were warm and enthusiastic, proactively helping with luggage and being very polite. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we could feel the five-star hospitality standards!
Lisa, the Guest Relations Manager, provided professional and efficient service. Even during the peak tourist season with large crowds, she managed everything in an orderly manner, processing check-in quickly. She also thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits and snacks, showing great attention to detail.
The guest rooms are spacious and bright with excellent lighting. High-floor rooms offer panoramic views of the city. The bedding is soft and thick, providing an exceptional sleep experience. After a day of exploring, lying down allows for complete relaxation and washes away travel fatigue. The rooms are cleaned spotlessly, with great attention to hygiene details. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, stable hot water supply, and high-quality toiletries. The room's soundproofing is excellent, making for a very quiet night undisturbed by outside noise.
The hotel facilities are comprehensive. The indoor heated pool has clean water and a comfortable environment, and the gym is well-equipped. The buffet breakfast is a major highlight, with a rich variety of dishes, including both Chinese and Western cuisine. There are freshly made noodles, local specialties, fresh fruits, and various pastries and breads. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are excellent, satisfying different dietary preferences. The restaurant staff are friendly and responsive, making for a great dining experience.
The most impressive aspect was Lisa's thoughtful service. She is genuinely warm and friendly, responds quickly to requests, and communicates smoothly. Even our child really liked her!

amyshen77The Dalian Four Seasons was our first Four Seasons experience in China. Having previously stayed at Four Seasons hotels in Prague, Budapest, and Singapore, I'd come to the conclusion that 'Four Seasons is always a safe bet in any unfamiliar city.' In fact, if a city has a Four Seasons, that alone is a great reason to visit, as the brand has extremely high standards for location, and following their lead rarely goes wrong.
The Dalian Four Seasons is located in the prime area of Zhongshan Road. It's within a 2km drive to places like Nanshan Street, Zhongshan Square, Democratic Square's Tram Route 201 starting point, and Russian Style Street. Just a 7-minute walk from the hotel, there's a cluster of local restaurants, which is very convenient.
We stayed for four nights in an 80-square-meter Grand City View King Room. It featured a spacious bedroom (after fitting a comfortable king-size bed, an L-shaped sofa, a large round table, and chairs, there was still plenty of space for two people to practice Baduanjin), an oversized walk-in closet, and a bathroom. The vanity had the essential double sinks, which made it incredibly convenient for two people. What's particularly noteworthy is the large mirror with a built-in smart TV – this was truly amazing! It's a great bonus for those who brush their teeth thoroughly (which can take a while, so I often watch my iPad at home to avoid boredom).
Four Seasons' in-room tea bags and capsule coffee have always been my favorite. The Dalian hotel thoughtfully labeled four different coffee varieties with their flavors and roast levels, and even included a decaffeinated option. This was incredibly friendly for coffee lovers who want to try different trendy cafes outside every day but are also concerned about excessive caffeine intake. Every day, I made a cup of decaf coffee in my room, and could even add milk and ice to make a delicious iced latte – I really enjoyed it. Among the tea bags, Maojian was my personal favorite and one I'd recommend.
Speaking of which, I must praise the hotel's sky lobby. Located on the 41st floor, it offers breathtaking sea views. Every day, I spent a long time sitting on the sofa here, reading or simply gazing at the sea, feeling a deep sense of holiday bliss.
At 38樓, the gym is the most beautiful I've ever seen in any Four Seasons hotel, and indeed, in any hotel I've stayed in! This is because it boasts the same stunning sea views as the sky lobby. I went to the gym for 2 hours every day for four consecutive days. The equipment was sufficient to train shoulders, chest, back, and glutes/legs on separate days. The completeness of the fitness equipment rivaled that of the Singapore Four Seasons, but the sea view is a definite plus for the Dalian Four Seasons.
I was also particularly pleased with the hotel breakfast. While other categories offered everything imaginable, that wasn't the main point. What truly impressed me was how few hotel restaurants can provide a comprehensive selection of avocado, cold-brew overnight oats (with nuts and fresh blueberries), sourdough bread, and salmon with purple cabbage salad all at once. For fitness enthusiasts who maintain a healthy diet year-round, this is an absolute godsend.
Even more impressive than all the perfect hardware mentioned above was the service at the Dalian Four Seasons, which perfectly embodied the Four Seasons' core philosophy of 'treating others as you would like to be treated.' I especially want to thank Kayla and Carrie, the duty managers from the Guest Experience Department. They started coordinating with me two days before my arrival. Every morning after check-in, they would message me on WeChat to ask about our comfort levels. After the first night, they adjusted room details based on my personal preferences and needs, making me truly feel the same convenience and comfort as if I were at home.
During these five days in Dalian, I truly felt that the Four Seasons makes you happy whether you leave to explore during the day or stay in all day long. A city with a Four Seasons inherently becomes more attractive, and it's a hotel you can 'mindlessly choose' without ever going wrong.
Dalian Four Seasons, you are my perfect Four Seasons hotel, and for you, I am willing to return to Dalian!

Guest UserDuring my stay at Fushun Friendship Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall service experience. The professionalism and attention to detail exhibited by the staff were evident throughout, all delivered with efficiency and warmth.
The dining experience at the Chinese restaurant was particularly commendable. The dishes were authentic in flavor and meticulously prepared, reflecting a clear dedication to quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. Each course was a testament to the kitchen’s expertise.
While enjoying new coffee blends and refreshments at the lobby bar during my leisure time, the young female staff consistently maintained a polite and courteous demeanor, engaging in friendly and natural conversations that enhanced the relaxed ambiance.
Over several days, the hotel demonstrated high standards across all aspects – service, dining, and ambiance – creating a consistently comfortable and reassuring environment. I look forward to the opportunity of staying here again in the future.

Guest UserStaying in Dalian for a relaxed week, I chose the New World Hotel Dalian as my base, and the overall quality far exceeded my expectations. The hotel's design leans towards a retro style, with soft lighting in the hallways and quiet, secluded public lounge areas – perfect for a leisurely rest. Housekeeping standards are strict and well-regulated; guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily, with every nook and cranny wiped down, carpets regularly dusted and deodorized, and bedding changed for each new guest, free of stains or odors. The bathroom drainage worked perfectly, with no water accumulation issues. From the front desk check-in, the concierge guiding me and storing luggage, to the prompt room service for requested supplies, every department responded quickly. The swimming pool was well-maintained and clean, great for a family splash when free. The breakfast restaurant offered a fresh and diverse selection, with flavors suitable for all ages. Staff were not intrusive but were promptly available when needed. Located conveniently close to popular spots like Zhongshan Square and Donggang, it made getting around effortless. Overall, it offered a very comfortable experience for a longer stay.

ChongchongThe overall stay exceeded our expectations! The environment was quiet and elegant, and the garden-style hot spring area was meticulously maintained. The hot spring water was natural and genuine, warm and soothing. After a soak, I felt completely relaxed, and all the fatigue from my journey vanished. The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the private hot spring tub offered great privacy, which my child absolutely loved. The staff were warm, polite, and provided attentive and thoughtful service. The facilities were comprehensive. This place is perfect for both family trips and relaxing getaways. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next trip. Highly recommended!

Anonymous UserPerhaps due to the extremely poor experience at 'Central Street CBD Grand Hotel' the previous night, we spontaneously moved to Shangri-La. The Shangri-La lobby indeed offers a great sense of space, and it's very convenient to get to the nearby MixC shopping mall. You can walk there via B2, which is really handy, though we only discovered this just before we left. It would be a good idea to inform guests about this during check-in.
Breakfast: Since it was peak summer season, there were many empty dishes, and we also found hair on some of the plates. We informed the restaurant manager, and I ended up taking the plate to a staff member myself, worried that children might use it without noticing.
There were some minor issues, but the manager apologized, which was understandable and acceptable.
P.S.: If you care about the view outside your window, you need to specify a garden view and floor number. Don't assume the floor written in your booking confirmation will be the one assigned, as there can be discrepancies when rooms are allocated.
Overall, it was quite good, and I would consider staying again. Just make sure to emphasize specific details to the hotel beforehand.

The scenery outside the river view room is particularly beautiful. Downstairs is the Liaohe River Leisure Trail. It is very convenient to go downstairs for a walk at night. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is always delicious and I have to visit it once or twice every time I stay. The breakfast was very good, with many flavors, but this time the coffee machine was broken and I didn't get any coffee. Fortunately, the coffee in the cafe on the first floor is also very delicious.

KafeinaodaijiujingweiMy stay here was fantastic, and I have to give a special shout-out to Olivia at the front desk! I arrived early, worried I'd have a long wait to check in, but Olivia was incredibly thoughtful and efficient. She got me checked in early and even upgraded my room for free, which was beyond my expectations. Her service was warm and attentive, communication was smooth throughout, and she was so patient and gentle. The entire check-in process was pleasant and hassle-free. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!
