SKYTRAILFacilities: The bathroom was modern and comfortable, but the bedroom felt a bit dated.
Cleanliness: As soon as I entered the room, I found a hair on the bed. Housekeeping definitely needs to step up their game. The hallway smelled awful, which is a real letdown for an InterContinental property.
Given the value for money of an InterContinental suite at around 1000 during the summer, I'm giving it 5 stars. My room wasn't upgraded and breakfast wasn't included, so the true rating might be closer to 4.8 stars.

Guest UserThe room was a bit small, but the cleanliness was acceptable. I got a free upgrade to the 6th floor with a nice view! The hotel offered a complimentary beer, and bottled beer could be taken back to the room. I opted for draft beer, which had to be enjoyed on-site at an outdoor restaurant open from 6 PM to 10 PM. I arrived a little after 8 PM, and even though it was summer, the sea breeze was wonderfully cool. There was also a resident singer, creating a fantastic atmosphere! The hotel's back exit leads directly to Happy Coast Gate 4, with Gate 5 to the right and Gate 3 to the left. Plus, there were plenty of free fireworks displays by the sea to watch!!

kk0808Although this is an older five-star hotel, my impression was that it would be lavish but with outdated facilities. However, this hotel has kept up with the times. The hairdryer was upgraded to a Laifen, which works wonderfully, and the toilet is a smart Panasonic model. There's a smart alarm clock by the bed with a night light, wireless charging, and a radio.
In terms of service, they upgraded our room type and even helped us secure a reservation for the Hong Kong-style buffet when it was fully booked. When we left, they gave a doll to our child, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Special thanks to Vivian for her attentive service.
If I had to pick one downside, it would probably be that the hotel has too many rooms. It was fully booked during our entire stay, and we had to queue for breakfast every day. As three families traveling together, we couldn't sit together for breakfast even once.

Guest UserI previously stayed at Somerset Dalian Development Zone and had a fantastic experience.
It's quite rare to find a serviced apartment hotel in a provincial capital, especially one with a two-bedroom suite over 100 square meters, near a bustling commercial area and right next to a high-speed train station. This unit boasts two bedrooms, two living rooms, two bathrooms, a laundry room, and an open-plan kitchen (fully equipped with bedding and tableware). The two bedrooms are also spaced apart, providing independent and undisturbed resting spaces for two generations, while still feeling like home. The hotel offers a private cinema, a kids' club, a gym, a billiards room, a golf simulator, a relaxation terrace, meeting rooms, a spa, and more. What's particularly thoughtful and convenient is the extended self-service breakfast hours, catering to different breakfast schedules. You can rest, work, and entertain without leaving the hotel. The location is right next to a busy commercial hub. The service, from the restaurant to the guest rooms and front desk, is impeccable – warm and attentive. This will definitely be my go-to hotel next time I visit Shenyang.
Just a few minor suggestions:
The navigation location isn't very accurate.
The hotel entrance isn't very noticeable.
The interior design of the terrace is great, but the external view is a bit contrasting and the air quality isn't the best.
I hope these can be improved to make the experience even better.

amyshen77The Dalian Four Seasons was our first Four Seasons experience in China. Having previously stayed at Four Seasons hotels in Prague, Budapest, and Singapore, I'd come to the conclusion that 'Four Seasons is always a safe bet in any unfamiliar city.' In fact, if a city has a Four Seasons, that alone is a great reason to visit, as the brand has extremely high standards for location, and following their lead rarely goes wrong.
The Dalian Four Seasons is located in the prime area of Zhongshan Road. It's within a 2km drive to places like Nanshan Street, Zhongshan Square, Democratic Square's Tram Route 201 starting point, and Russian Style Street. Just a 7-minute walk from the hotel, there's a cluster of local restaurants, which is very convenient.
We stayed for four nights in an 80-square-meter Grand City View King Room. It featured a spacious bedroom (after fitting a comfortable king-size bed, an L-shaped sofa, a large round table, and chairs, there was still plenty of space for two people to practice Baduanjin), an oversized walk-in closet, and a bathroom. The vanity had the essential double sinks, which made it incredibly convenient for two people. What's particularly noteworthy is the large mirror with a built-in smart TV – this was truly amazing! It's a great bonus for those who brush their teeth thoroughly (which can take a while, so I often watch my iPad at home to avoid boredom).
Four Seasons' in-room tea bags and capsule coffee have always been my favorite. The Dalian hotel thoughtfully labeled four different coffee varieties with their flavors and roast levels, and even included a decaffeinated option. This was incredibly friendly for coffee lovers who want to try different trendy cafes outside every day but are also concerned about excessive caffeine intake. Every day, I made a cup of decaf coffee in my room, and could even add milk and ice to make a delicious iced latte – I really enjoyed it. Among the tea bags, Maojian was my personal favorite and one I'd recommend.
Speaking of which, I must praise the hotel's sky lobby. Located on the 41st floor, it offers breathtaking sea views. Every day, I spent a long time sitting on the sofa here, reading or simply gazing at the sea, feeling a deep sense of holiday bliss.
At 38樓, the gym is the most beautiful I've ever seen in any Four Seasons hotel, and indeed, in any hotel I've stayed in! This is because it boasts the same stunning sea views as the sky lobby. I went to the gym for 2 hours every day for four consecutive days. The equipment was sufficient to train shoulders, chest, back, and glutes/legs on separate days. The completeness of the fitness equipment rivaled that of the Singapore Four Seasons, but the sea view is a definite plus for the Dalian Four Seasons.
I was also particularly pleased with the hotel breakfast. While other categories offered everything imaginable, that wasn't the main point. What truly impressed me was how few hotel restaurants can provide a comprehensive selection of avocado, cold-brew overnight oats (with nuts and fresh blueberries), sourdough bread, and salmon with purple cabbage salad all at once. For fitness enthusiasts who maintain a healthy diet year-round, this is an absolute godsend.
Even more impressive than all the perfect hardware mentioned above was the service at the Dalian Four Seasons, which perfectly embodied the Four Seasons' core philosophy of 'treating others as you would like to be treated.' I especially want to thank Kayla and Carrie, the duty managers from the Guest Experience Department. They started coordinating with me two days before my arrival. Every morning after check-in, they would message me on WeChat to ask about our comfort levels. After the first night, they adjusted room details based on my personal preferences and needs, making me truly feel the same convenience and comfort as if I were at home.
During these five days in Dalian, I truly felt that the Four Seasons makes you happy whether you leave to explore during the day or stay in all day long. A city with a Four Seasons inherently becomes more attractive, and it's a hotel you can 'mindlessly choose' without ever going wrong.
Dalian Four Seasons, you are my perfect Four Seasons hotel, and for you, I am willing to return to Dalian!

Guest UserDuring my stay at Fushun Friendship Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall service experience. The professionalism and attention to detail exhibited by the staff were evident throughout, all delivered with efficiency and warmth.
The dining experience at the Chinese restaurant was particularly commendable. The dishes were authentic in flavor and meticulously prepared, reflecting a clear dedication to quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. Each course was a testament to the kitchen’s expertise.
While enjoying new coffee blends and refreshments at the lobby bar during my leisure time, the young female staff consistently maintained a polite and courteous demeanor, engaging in friendly and natural conversations that enhanced the relaxed ambiance.
Over several days, the hotel demonstrated high standards across all aspects – service, dining, and ambiance – creating a consistently comfortable and reassuring environment. I look forward to the opportunity of staying here again in the future.

Guest UserOur family stayed at the Dalian Xingzhijie Hotel and had an extremely satisfying experience overall. The lobby environment was simple and elegant, the public areas were clean and bright, and the rooms had excellent natural light and a comfortable layout. The cleanliness was impeccable, with soft and spotless bedding, and a bathroom with good wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. Even the corners and hard-to-reach spots were thoroughly cleaned, making our stay feel very secure. I must specifically commend the front desk staff and the duty manager. They were always responsive to our requests throughout our stay. This is truly the only hotel among Dalian's five-star establishments that genuinely helps guests resolve issues. Whether we asked about nearby tourist routes, borrowed items, or needed to adjust our check-in requirements last-minute, the staff patiently answered our questions, and the duty manager quickly coordinated a solution, responding promptly and thoughtfully. The daily housekeeping was meticulous and tidy, and the location was convenient for exploring with family or for short excursions. The attentive and thoughtful service made us feel incredibly welcome. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Dalian, and I'll be recommending it to others. The hotel front desk also offered cold drinks and juice, which was a lovely touch.

ZhuoerminminOur first stop in Dalian was this Holiday Inn, and it was an excellent experience. Our flight was delayed, and we didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning, but the staff member in black was incredibly attentive. Despite the late hour, they patiently helped us with check-in, explained all the facilities, and even offered to carry our luggage to the room. We were a family of three, and even though our room originally included breakfast for two, the hotel kindly added a third complimentary breakfast every day, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and tidy, the hotel grounds were spacious, and it was convenient to get to the beach. As an international chain, Holiday Inn consistently delivers on quality, and I highly recommend it.

YunuoCame to Shenyang to watch the FIBA World Cup qualifiers for men's basketball, and as usual, chose Shangri-La. Since I booked early, the price in Shenyang was quite good, and they even upgraded my room upon arrival. This stay was fantastic! A special thanks to Li Min-hyuk at the front desk for helping me with a late check-out and for patiently telling me all about the 'Mountain Road and Pine Sound' art masterpiece on the east side of the lobby lounge. It's a truly surprising piece where a New Zealand artist team recreated Tang Bohu's ancient Ming Dynasty painting using crystal pillars. The blend of Eastern and Western design is incredibly captivating, offering an immersive experience of traditional Chinese landscape aesthetics. Highly recommend!

The scenery outside the river view room is particularly beautiful. Downstairs is the Liaohe River Leisure Trail. It is very convenient to go downstairs for a walk at night. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is always delicious and I have to visit it once or twice every time I stay. The breakfast was very good, with many flavors, but this time the coffee machine was broken and I didn't get any coffee. Fortunately, the coffee in the cafe on the first floor is also very delicious.
