GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, with high-floor rooms offering superb views of Zhongshan Square. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the bathrooms are particularly large. Enjoying the happy hour buffet dinner at the executive lounge while watching the harbor sunset was incredibly pleasant! The breakfast was very rich and featured Dalian specialties like sea cucumber congee with sea cucumber sausage, sea jelly, clam noodles, and Roujiamo (Chinese meat burger). The InterContinental staff were all very welcoming. Ella handled my check-in professionally, efficiently, and with great warmth. Sherry processed my check-out, providing thoughtful service that truly enhanced my experience.

XXixixixi321The hotel's location is excellent, right opposite Happy Beach Gate 4, and within walking distance of Discovery Kingdom. Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a sea-view room, which I really appreciated. However, I can't give a good rating for a few reasons: 1. As soon as we got to the room, I called the front desk for children's slippers and toothbrushes. After waiting half an hour with no delivery, I ended up getting them from a housekeeping staff member in the hallway. 2. In the afternoon, I called the front desk for disposable cups. Again, after waiting half an hour, they still hadn't arrived. I had to call again to follow up before they finally sent a robot to deliver them. We then left the room, and when we returned in the evening, we found two disposable cups sitting on the floor outside our door! Isn't putting paper cups on the floor unhygienic? 3. The hotel advertises free sand-digging tools. We stayed for two nights, and every time we went to get tools, they were either unavailable or broken! 4. Our room on the fifth floor wasn't particularly noisy, but as soon as you stepped out of the elevator, the hallway had an odd smell that I couldn't quite place. The bedding also felt damp, making for an uncomfortable stay. For a Trip.com 5-diamond hotel with such a prime location, this was truly disappointing. It seems you really do get what you pay for!

CcometapeI was a bit apprehensive before entering the room, mainly because of the negative reviews I'd seen before booking, which made me quite hesitant. Plus, it was the last day in Davos, and with people checking out continuously, I wondered if the hotel could clean the room in time – a real test of their service. However, the moment I opened the door, I was pleased. It was much better than I expected, and the night view from the window was quite nice. After looking around, it met my expectations for a family room. Most importantly, the kids liked it, with a carpet flight chess game, three TVs, and two bathrooms – essential for families traveling with children. While the room facilities had an older style overall, I didn't find them as bad as the negative reviews suggested. Of course, after putting down our luggage, I did notice some flaws, like fruit pits and bookbinding fragments that hadn't been cleaned up promptly. More issues cropped up during our stay. Although the lobby manager repeatedly apologized for the shortcomings before we checked out and even gave us a small gift, hoping we wouldn't write a review, my child expressed a wish to stay here again on our way home. That's why I'm writing all this. I hope the hotel can demonstrate the professionalism expected of a Shangri-La and make further improvements. After all, the problems we encountered shouldn't be excused by regional differences between north and south. Service has no regional boundaries; it's all about the experience. On a positive note, the hotel's QR code room service is commendable, and the cleaning staff's attitude was excellent. The pool is great for kids to play in and adults to relax; just remember to wear slippers as the room slippers aren't waterproof. The hotel's location is also good. Strolling towards Zhongshan at night with the sea breeze is a pleasant experience. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride to city attractions like Venice Water City and Central Plaza. Perhaps it was luck, but I even got a BMW, Denza, and Tesla as taxis – quite fortunate given the fast-paced Dalian ride-hailing drivers. So, overall, my few days here were good, which is why I gave the environment a high rating.

SSunnyAmyEvery year when I come back to Shenyang, I always book this hotel without a doubt. Each time, I choose a three-bedroom apartment, which is convenient for my husband and me, and our son and daughter to have their own space. Most of the time, I book through the official website and with Ms. Liu from sales, though occasionally I've booked on Ctrip. Regardless of the platform, I always receive excellent service. This time, I arrived at the hotel close to 11 PM. It was comforting to see the familiar smiling face of the front desk staff. After recognizing my member status, she even upgraded my room to an executive suite. There have been several times I considered booking hotels on Youth Street, but while they may seem luxurious, they're not as practical for a family like ours staying for a few days, especially with all the laundry. At Ascott Shenyang, I can wash and dry clothes every day, and the kitchen is very convenient with a refrigerator to store groceries. When I've stayed for longer periods, I've even ordered delivery from Sam's Club and cooked my own meals. I've even spent Chinese New Year here and cooked our reunion dinner myself. If I had to point out a drawback, I'd say some of the facilities could use an upgrade. For example, the speakers next to the TV are still from the DVD era; they could easily be replaced with modern, affordable, and functional Bluetooth speakers. The hotel kitchen is fully equipped with tableware and cookware, and there's a Xin Tiandi supermarket nearby to buy seasonings, plus a convenient Lawson downstairs. The only sad thing is the decline of Taiyuan Street; it was so bustling when I first came to Shenyang over 20 years ago, but now many shops have closed. While the breakfast selection isn't huge, it's sufficient, offering both Chinese and Western options. The staff in the breakfast area are all very warm and polite. Parking downstairs costs 40 yuan per day. What's more convenient now is that after registering your license plate when checking in, you don't need parking vouchers every time you leave. You just settle the total parking fee when you check out. I'm always grateful for an incident during Christmas two years ago. I fell ill when I was alone in the room, and struggled to order medicine for delivery. It was the gentleman downstairs who brought it up to me, and I started to feel better after taking it. By the time my husband and child returned, I was already much improved. I've seen him still working near the front desk during my current stay. I'll be back this summer for another long stay. See you again, Ascott, in the summer!

FFanfanbufanMy stay at the Four Seasons Dalian was absolutely perfect, and I especially want to commend the front desk staff. Upon arriving at the 41st-floor lobby, the check-in process was efficient and smooth. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, proactively explaining the hotel facilities, recommending optimal viewing times, and even thoughtfully suggesting an itinerary for Donggang based on my travel plans. I made a last-minute request to switch to a higher-floor sea-view room, and the front desk quickly accommodated it, communicating every detail with thoughtfulness and professionalism. The hotel lobby’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable view of the Donggang seascape. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and all the amenities were complete. From the doormen and front desk to the room attendants, everyone provided excellent service, with thoughtful touches at every turn. The exceptional service from the front desk truly enhanced my entire trip. This will be my top choice when visiting Dalian, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip!

GGuest UserDuring my stay at Fushun Friendship Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall service experience. The professionalism and attention to detail exhibited by the staff were evident throughout, all delivered with efficiency and warmth. The dining experience at the Chinese restaurant was particularly commendable. The dishes were authentic in flavor and meticulously prepared, reflecting a clear dedication to quality ingredients and culinary craftsmanship. Each course was a testament to the kitchen’s expertise. While enjoying new coffee blends and refreshments at the lobby bar during my leisure time, the young female staff consistently maintained a polite and courteous demeanor, engaging in friendly and natural conversations that enhanced the relaxed ambiance. Over several days, the hotel demonstrated high standards across all aspects – service, dining, and ambiance – creating a consistently comfortable and reassuring environment. I look forward to the opportunity of staying here again in the future.

GGuest UserThis hotel belongs to the Hong Kong-based New World Hotels & Resorts group, which also has properties in Beijing and Shenyang. This particular Dalian location stands out for its excellent service, though it does have several minor issues with its facilities. The in-room dining menu is bulky and takes up too much space, with an outdated layout lacking clear categories. It even had leftover food residue from a previous guest, making it only useful for propping up takeout. The room TV is quite small, and both the decor and furniture styles are old-fashioned. The carpet had a strange odor; even after switching rooms twice, the smell persisted and only improved when the windows were opened. I hope the hotel addresses this and gets rid of the odor. However, the service was exceptionally thoughtful. A front desk staff member even provided tokens for my child to play claw machines, and the manager was very considerate. The bathroom was spotless. The north-facing rooms offer great views, while the south-facing rooms can get stuffy due to insufficient air conditioning. Despite these flaws, the overall value for money is good. Its location is absolutely fantastic, close to Donggang and Zhongshan Square, surrounded by numerous seafood and Japanese restaurants. There's an incredible variety of food choices, making it a perfect place to stay if you're looking for a culinary adventure in Dalian. I sincerely want to give a big shout-out to all the hotel staff. I wish everyone smooth work and hope the hotel business thrives. I look forward to experiencing New World Hotels in other cities next time.

GGuest UserIt was really pleasant to soak in the hot spring and enjoy an iced coffee in the room on a rainy day, especially with Dalian's comfortable weather. Facilities: The room facilities had a charming, retro feel from an earlier era. While a bit old, they were fairly well-maintained. Hot Spring Ticket for Two (Single Entry): The hot spring itself was quite good, though the massage services closed a bit early. Service: Brynn provided attentive and warm service, which definitely enhanced our entire trip. Breakfast was pretty standard, but the scrambled eggs with shrimp from room service were surprisingly good.

GGuest UserMy stay at Shangri-La Shenyang was absolutely divine ✨ I have to give a special shout-out to Guest Relations, Ellie! She was incredibly patient, explaining the 'Mountain Road and Pine Sound' art masterpiece in the lobby lounge's east wing. It's a stunning piece by a New Zealand artist team who recreated a Ming Dynasty painting by Tang Bohu using crystal pillars – a fantastic blend of East and West, exuding such style. It was a truly immersive and delightful experience of Chinese landscape aesthetics. Later that night, I even received a thoughtful delivery of warm chicken soup. My fatigue instantly melted away. As someone who appreciates attention to detail, I absolutely loved it. The service and ambiance were both top-notch. This is definitely my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Shenyang!

GGuest UserThe scenery outside the river view room is particularly beautiful. Downstairs is the Liaohe River Leisure Trail. It is very convenient to go downstairs for a walk at night. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is always delicious and I have to visit it once or twice every time I stay. The breakfast was very good, with many flavors, but this time the coffee machine was broken and I didn't get any coffee. Fortunately, the coffee in the cafe on the first floor is also very delicious.
