Romantic Hotels in Jiangsu, China

This hotel is located in the old town, featuring a Chinese garden style, right next to the 4A-rated Panlong scenic area. Staying in such an environment offers a great experience. In the morning, I took a stroll through the hotel's garden and then visited the Panlong scenic area. I was surprised to find a well-preserved waterway city gate there. The room facilities were complete, though the bathroom amenities were a little bit old.

Overall, it was a good experience. The hotel is right next to Sanyang Plaza and very close to A Bing's former residence. It's just a short walk from the subway station to the hotel. The higher floor offers a nice view too! 👍

Lovely stay at this hotel. The room was very big and comfortable, although the walls are a little thin so can clearly hear people talking. For pet owners: note that the Laomendong pedestrian street is not pet friendly (even though there was no sign at the street that we walked through) but the area behind the hotel was lovely and quiet and great to walk the dog. We could also walk past the old city walls which was beautiful. Parking is nearby and quite convenient.

Good: ⭐ The scenery is like a huge garden, perfect for taking photos everywhere. It's divided into different buildings, each varying in age and price. ⭐ Since I don't spend much time in the hotel, I chose Building 1 for its good value for money. The room itself was quite spacious. ⭐ The front desk staff were very warm and patient, explaining all the check-in information and even helping me with my luggage. ⭐ Food deliveries go to the security room, then staff bring them to your room. The same goes for mailing packages – they'll take them to Building 3 for you. This is a service even some high-end hotels don't offer. ⭐ We dined at the 'Mountain' restaurant on the first night. The food was generally good, fresh, and tasty, and they even had some early decorations set up. Bad: 🙁 The room facilities were extremely old and I had a physical aversion to them. To get to the second-floor room from the first, you have to take a tiny elevator, and as soon as you step out on the second floor, there's a strong smell of stale carpet. As soon as I entered the room, I checked the bathroom first. The seams around the sink were grubby, and the shower walls seemed to have stubborn stains. The carpet in the room was very dark and looked quite dirty (the last time I felt this way was at Sanya Culture). 🙁 There were so many mosquitoes and flying insects. I've never stayed in a room with so many mosquitoes. My child's hand was bitten and swollen, and I had to go out to a pharmacy to buy medicine, which only started to help the next day. 🙁 When checking out, there was a different front desk staff member who wasn't enthusiastic at all. They just took the room card and that was it, no assistance whatsoever. (Felt like they were rushing to get back to their phone.)

The location is fantastic, with a bustling view of Xinjiekou right outside the window. What impressed me most was the service – friendly, polite, and incredibly responsive. The dining options exceeded expectations; the breakfast was diverse with Nanjng specialties, and the formal meals were exquisitely prepared. The room was well-maintained, clean, and the bedding was comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent, and all the staff were very friendly and responsive. We had dinner at the hotel, and the food quality was surprisingly good. I especially want to commend the Jia Restaurant on the 56th floor of the Asia Pacific Tower. On our first night, we tried their mini hotpot, and the two single sets were more than enough for two people. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic, promptly helping with drinks, clearing plates, and cooking items. We also loved the buffet selection! We had such a happy meal! The next morning, we debated between the ground floor breakfast buffet and the 56th-floor one, but decided to go back to the 56th floor – and we were so glad we did! It was another wonderful experience, feeling right at home. There were many dishes available in the morning. For instance, a waitress kindly cut the Jinling large meat bun for us so we could each have half, which we really appreciated. A big thank you to CY and MYF from Jia Restaurant for their attentive service. The view was also excellent; we could see the beautiful city from our seats. All in all, I highly recommend trying it! I truly appreciate such thoughtful service! We booked afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge, which featured a beautiful birdcage design. The happy hour's light dinner, part of the executive benefits, was also delicious! I had previously celebrated a birthday at Meiyuan, so this time, I decided to try the Pacific Western Restaurant before checking out, which also offered a beautiful setting and attentive service. I feel like I'll be back very soon just for the delicious food.

Super comfortable, definitely a five-star review! We moved here from the Kyriad next door, and this place is so much better. The Kyriad kept hounding us for good reviews, but here, the front desk doesn't even ask. The rooms are clean, and the service is excellent. They even upgraded us to two king rooms when our original room type wasn't available. The service is fantastic; they even gave us little perfumed sachets since it was close to the Dragon Boat Festival. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

The cleaning staff were prompt with their service and quickly responded to requests, making me feel completely at home throughout my stay. Ambiance & Location: The location is very convenient for getting around, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. The hotel itself has lots of greenery and the public areas are beautifully designed, perfect for taking atmospheric photos. The soundproofing is excellent, so my sleep was completely undisturbed at night. Facilities: The room was well-equipped, with the air conditioning, hot water, and bathroom facilities all working perfectly. The mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – making for a very relaxing sleep. Overall, it offers great value for money, suitable for both short trips and city breaks. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again next time!

The front desk staff were very helpful and patient. I was really impressed by the room's amenities – an electric toilet, bathtub, and bathrobes were all provided. Even the details like the toothbrush were amazing; it was super comfortable to use, truly five-star quality. This hotel offers great value for money.

Location: Excellent location—just a one-minute walk to the walking street and other famous attractions. Staff: Super friendly and always ready to assist immediately whenever needed. Facilities: Perfect for travelers who prefer having everything available in the hotel. Self-service laundry, drying machines, microwaves, and other convenient amenities are provided. Cleanliness: Exceptionally clean. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are much quieter than I expected. As a light sleeper, I wasn't disturbed at all during my stay. Room: Very modern smart-controlled rooms with voice-command AI assistance, making the stay both convenient and enjoyable. Overall, a highly recommended hotel with a great location, excellent service, modern facilities, and outstanding cleanliness.

After getting off the high-speed train, we took the subway to the hotel. I originally planned to take a taxi, but the hotel called and said there would be traffic jams. We chose the nearest subway exit, but there was no elevator, and my friend nearly collapsed carrying a super heavy suitcase. We had to take an elevator up to the hotel lobby, which was on some high floor (20s or 40s, I forget). After checking in, we had to turn a corner and take another elevator to go up further – quite a hassle. When I placed the order, I left a note asking not to have a corner room close to the elevator. Well, we didn't get a corner room, as the hotel is circular, but we ended up with the room furthest from the elevator. The air conditioning in the room was also broken; it blew hot air for ages when set to cool, leaving me sweating. Honestly, I wanted to give three stars based on the experience, but the AC repair technician and the cleaning lady earned you an extra star. At the time, I had bought a lot of fruit, thinking I wouldn't finish it all and it would spoil by the next day, so I set some aside, hoping the repair technician would take it. However, he firmly refused, saying it was his job and they couldn't take anything from guests. It was just a few strawberries, really. He fixed the AC quite quickly, and it worked perfectly afterward. The cleaning lady also did a great job; I really loved the verbena hand soap. I left a note asking if she could give us a few extra bars, and not only was her reply amusing, but she also left us seven or eight bars – I was so happy! The hotel's location is good, very close to Fuguo Street and Golden Eagle Plaza, making shopping very convenient. It's just that the lobby being halfway up the building is really inconvenient. Also, the windows were so dirty, which was a shame for such large windows, as it made taking good photos in the room impossible.
