Pan Pacific Suzhou is one of those rare hotels where the stay itself feels like part of the sightseeing. It combines Suzhou’s classical garden charm with modern comforts in a way that feels both tranquil and indulgent.
Garden resort setting
The hotel is built in the style of a classical Suzhou garden, with courtyards, covered walkways, sculpted bridges, ponds and pavilions spread over expansive grounds. Walking around the property can feel like wandering through a private scenic park, with many rooms and paths looking directly onto landscaped greenery and traditional architecture.
Direct access to Panmen Scenic Area
A standout perk is its location right beside the historic Panmen Scenic Area, home to ancient gates, pagodas and canals. Guests typically enjoy complimentary or convenient access via a dedicated entrance, turning morning strolls or evening walks among the illuminated walls and waterways into a daily ritual rather than a rushed excursion.
Rooms and views
Most rooms offer either serene garden vistas or views over Panmen’s walls, waterways and even Ruiguang Pagoda from some angles. Inside, the rooms pair contemporary comforts like high‑speed internet and workspaces with warm, subtly traditional decor, so you get a sense of place without sacrificing modern convenience.
Location and convenience
While it feels like a secluded resort, the hotel sits in a prime Suzhou district with easy access to key attractions, shopping and dining. Suzhou Railway Station is only a short drive away and the nearest metro station is about a five‑minute walk, making it straightforward to reach popular gardens and business areas without losing that peaceful “garden retreat” base.

Best location if you wanted to visit Slender Lake as the entrance is just across the road. There are restaurants to the left of the resort as well if opting to dine out. The resort is quite big, with separate buildings housing different types of rooms. Well catered for families with kids. We got the room with a hot spring inside so we didn’t visit the public one.

If you visit Yangzhou, this is the only hotel I recommend anyone to stay at. It has the gorgeous Chinese garden that spreads out for miles. I stayed in building 3 (the only building offered on the internet when I booked). The hotel is connected (walk over the bridge) to the Slender Lake. Staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was tidied up everyday. Breakfast was not include in the room rate but there is a Starbuck nearby where I had my morning coffee and pastry. The room has a balcony, overlooking some trees and other building. Most of the restaurants/eateries were closed (probably due to low season). However, there are a lot of local restaurants in the old town area and Guan Dong Street; it costs about 10 Yuans to take a taxi to get there.

The hotel environment is really nice, and the customer service is excellent. Any questions are immediately answered by contacting the front desk or your butler. The hotel also offers a free Hanfu experience, which is a big plus! 👍 It's conveniently located near Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street, both just a 5-15 minute walk away. The subway station is also very close by.

I came to Nanjing with my parents and our stay at the Jinling Hotel was fantastic. The service from Ya Shi Xin Yi was incredibly thoughtful and attentive; they responded to all our needs immediately, showing great care and consideration. The housekeeping service was also very considerate, leaving a little note and placing clean towels under our belongings.
This time, we extended our stay for two nights and got to experience both the Jinling and Asia Pacific Towers! The Asia Pacific Tower is newer, while the Jinling Tower, though a bit older, is still spacious and comfortable. All four of our rooms were on high floors, offering expansive, unobstructed views, and the night scenery was particularly outstanding. The breakfast was also rich and delicious.
Moreover, the hotel is located in Xinjiekou, right outside you can see Dr. Sun Yat-sen's statue, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. I highly recommend it for anyone traveling with their parents!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any requests.
The location is excellent, with convenient access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation. Housekeeping was done well every day, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was quiet and pleasant.
I truly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I would definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

Highly recommended! This hotel is fantastic, with great facilities. The front desk staff were very accommodating; they even gave us a small gift at check-in and extended our check-out by half an hour when we couldn't make it back in time. The room was also excellent, located in a quiet area further inside, and the bedding was super comfortable. Plus, having individual air conditioning in the room was a big convenience.

The hotel's location is great. It's a 15-minute drive from Suzhou Station, perfect for business trips, and also close to various attractions. The rooms are spacious with a good wet/dry separation in the bathroom. It offers decent value for money, making it a good choice whether you're traveling for leisure or business.

The hotel is quiet in the bustling city. It is convenient to go anywhere by crossing an alley to Dongguan Street. The environment is elegant and comfortable, with a separate courtyard and bathtub, which fully meets my expectations. I can take beautiful photos without going to the scenic spots. The restaurant is large and delicious, and the environment is elegant. The attitude of the hotel and restaurant service staff is very good, the guidance is in place, and they are responsive. I will experience it again if I have the opportunity. The only thing that can be improved is that a paper box and a trash can can be placed near the wash basin in the room, which will be much more convenient.
Facilities: Average
Cleanliness: Average. I understand not being able to open windows on the 71st floor, but the room was so dry my nose bled and my throat hurt, which was very uncomfortable. They really should add a humidifier. Because it was so dry, any movement in the room stirred up a lot of dust. This isn't a problem with the cleaning staff, but rather the extreme dryness of the room.
Environment: The view outside the window is indeed nice, very impressive.
Service: Average
1. We booked a room type that should have been around the 66th floor, but we were upgraded to the 71st floor, which I really appreciate.
2. I booked the room through Ctrip, and Ctrip indicated that my credit was sufficient and no deposit was needed. However, at check-in, I was still required to pay an additional 1111 as a deposit, which contradicted what Ctrip said. I completely understand paying a deposit, but why was it 1111, then became 1110.98?
3. When booking, it showed complimentary welcome fruit, but we didn't receive any. I always stay in five-star hotels when traveling, and welcome fruit is always placed directly in the room; I've never had to ask for it like this. And I only remembered and asked about it on the second night, and then they told me I had to go pick it up myself.
Summary: The outdoor scenery is beautiful, but the night view has too much reflection on the glass to get a good photo (I used a DJI, and even post-processing couldn't remove it). The third picture is a daytime shot from the 71st floor. Honestly, you can get great photos from the 45th floor (second video), so booking a standard room is sufficient. Especially after seeing the comparison (first video).

__WeChat54644****The location is fantastic, right on Pingjiang Road. When you open the curtains, you're greeted by the beautiful view of little bridges, flowing water, and local homes. Despite being on a busy street, it's surprisingly quiet, with good soundproofing. The bed was very comfortable. Right outside the door, there's a small, elegant courtyard.

HHeimi_123Our stay here was fantastic! The service was excellent, and the accommodation was very comfortable. My child loves baths, which was why we chose this place; the disposable plastic liners provided for the tub made us feel very safe and at ease. In the evenings, the owner even set out watermelon and other fruits in the lobby for everyone to enjoy freely. We'd sip tea, chat, and it was incredibly relaxing! Inside, there's a large alligator snapping turtle and three smaller turtles. My child absolutely loved repeatedly feeding watermelon to the alligator snapping turtle. When it was time to leave, my child didn't want to go! It was a truly wonderful trip, and I've attached some photos for reference.
AAnonymous UserWhen I visited Wuxi for Chinese New Year, I stayed at the Hyatt and was very impressed by its location, facilities, and Chinese restaurant. So, when I brought my parents to Wuxi this time, I chose it again. Even though it's now rebranded as Suning Galaxy, the service is still excellent.
I especially want to thank our concierge, Gessia. She contacted me on WeChat a day in advance to understand my request for a quiet room with an extra bed. When we checked in the next day, the extra bed was already set up, and she thoughtfully prepared all the in-room amenities, along with welcome fruits and an additional breakfast. Throughout our stay, Gessia was incredibly responsive and efficient via WeChat whenever we had any questions or needs, which was very reassuring.
Every staff member at the hotel was smiling, greeted us proactively, and spoke softly, making us feel very comfortable.

MM425341****We booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!
RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂
The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally.
For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁
Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

GGuest User## Environment:
Excellent! The hotel is clearly designed for large conferences, so it's incredibly spacious – it actually felt larger than the entire Xizha scenic area in Wuzhen! Located right on Tongli Lake, it boasts absolute prime lake views and is within walking distance of the ancient town. The landscaping and overall greenery are very high-end and luxurious.
## Cleanliness:
Lacks attention to detail. The lakeside pavilions had quite a few cobwebs and bird droppings. There were also cobwebs outside the room window. The Daguan Garden area is currently under renovation, which made that section look a bit desolate.
## Room:
This time we had a standard room. While no lake view was understandable, the window faced another room's window, which was pitch dark and a bit eerie at night – I'm not sure if it was a conference room. There was absolutely no greenery outside, as you can see from the pictures. I believe this is the area that most urgently needs improvement.
## Service:
The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, always greeted us with smiles, and were very professional.
## Facilities:
Also very impressive. The swimming pool was exceptionally clean, with several sprinklers inside, making it very suitable for children. It was a pity we didn't bring our swimsuits this time. We did play table tennis, and the court was good. There's also golf, but we couldn't go due to the rain.
## Breakfast:
Mediocre. The dining area was quite small, and the variety of food was limited. It didn't match the hotel's overall standard, and disappointingly, the venue didn't offer lake views either. It felt like the entire long lakeside wasn't well utilized for dining, which is a real shame.
## Other Points:
We purchased a package deal this time. The package included 'Tongli Night Tour,' which we initially assumed meant the hotel would provide tickets or some sort of activity. However, there was nothing of the sort; it merely implied you could go to Tongli Ancient Town yourself at night. How can this be included in a package? I find it misleading. Furthermore, the minibar only contained four Master Kong soft drinks, which felt very stingy.
## Overall:
The hotel's hardware facilities, stunning views, and service level are all up to par. Despite some minor issues, it is still highly recommended.
MMusaOur stay at the Novotel Suzhou was nothing short of memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, which set the tone for an amazing experience for our entire family.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern yet inviting ambiance that instantly made us feel at ease. We were particularly impressed by the range of facilities that catered to everyone in the family. The hot springs were a highlight for us, providing a tranquil escape and a perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate. The water was just right, and the surroundings were serene, adding to the overall relaxing atmosphere.
The swimming pool was also a big hit, especially with the kids. Spacious and well-maintained, it offered plenty of room for swimming, splashing, and simply having fun. The kids’ playground was another wonderful feature that our children absolutely loved. It was well-designed, safe, and filled with engaging activities that kept them entertained while we enjoyed a bit of downtime.
Food at the Novotel Suzhou was a true treat! The morning brunch had a diverse selection of delicious items that catered to all tastes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making each meal a delightful experience. We looked forward to each dining experience, knowing there was something new to try and savor.
The afternoon brunch was another stand-out feature. It was a luxurious affair with a mix of international and local flavors that kept us coming back for more. The chefs clearly took pride in their craft, and it showed in every dish.
Overall, our stay at the Novotel Suzhou was filled with wonderful moments, from relaxing in the hot springs to enjoying family time at the pool and playground. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to create lasting family memories, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!
Llvxiaodan0906I have been traveling these days, and this hotel in Wuxi is the place I am most satisfied with, no doubt about it. After experiencing the pain of Suzhou Lavande Hotel, I am very satisfied with all aspects of Wuxi Youxiangjia. The hygiene, facilities, services, and environment are all excellent. It is also close to Taihu Lake Scenic Area, and the online taxi is only 10 yuan away. I originally came to listen to the concert and booked it, but I was unexpectedly attracted by the hotel. No need to say more, pictures speak the truth! Although the hotel told me that the hot water for bathing can only be used for 20 minutes and then wait for 30 minutes before using it, I feel that it is enough for several people to take a quick shower, and the water of the shower is very large, which is very powerful! Maybe in order to save electricity, the air conditioner will automatically turn off twice in the morning and afternoon, but you can turn it on manually!
In short, I highly recommend everyone to stay here. I heard that it is the same company as the Crowne Plaza Hotel next door!
