We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

Hygiene: The room was quite clean, but there was a slight odor from the bathroom. The toiletries were by Ferragamo and the hairdryer was a Dyson, both high-end brands. Facilities: The facilities are very new, and there's even underfloor heating. Service: Personally, I felt the front desk service was a bit chaotic. No one greeted us when we walked into the lobby with our luggage. When we got to the front desk to check in, the staff were very busy, and the line was long. After receiving our room card, no staff member proactively told us where the elevator or breakfast area was; we had to ask ourselves. The complimentary hot spring service required us to apply and then follow up at the front desk again before it was approved. I'm not sure if this was due to the large number of guests during the Spring Festival. Environment: The entire complex is very large with a great environment. Taking a leisurely stroll in the garden was delightful.

Having visited Suzhou many times, this time I chose a hotel near Mixc World. The main reason I picked this one was that it's located right above Yaba Shengjian (a famous local pan-fried bun shop). Mixc World is to the left when you step out, and Shantang Street is to the right. The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access to transportation, including a subway station and bus stops nearby. The hotel itself is quite distinctive; the rooms are spacious, and the decor is exactly to our taste. It's clean and tidy, and both the mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The smart bed was also a big draw for us. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

Location: This hotel is a landmark in Xuzhou, right in the city center. It's incredibly convenient for visiting the Confucius Temple and Pengcheng No. 1, and also close to the 1818 Night Market. You can even see these attractions from the hotel rooms. Getting to the subway station across the street requires a bit of a walk around to the traffic light, so we mostly took taxis, though you can also walk to Hubu Mountain and Huilongwo, exploring all the way to the museum and Yunlong Mountain. Facilities: There's a swimming pool, but we didn't use it. Cleanliness: Tidy. Service: I was initially worried that the front desk being on the 42nd floor would be inconvenient, but there's a dedicated elevator to go up, so it didn't feel like an issue at all.

Shouxi Lake Hot Spring Holiday Hotel is amazing! It's close to Shouxi Lake, and you can enjoy the lake view right from your window. The hot springs are natural and genuine, with many private pools – perfect for warming up in autumn and winter. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bedding is soft. Breakfast offers freshly made Yangzhou steamed buns and dried tofu shreds, authentic and filling. There's also a kids' play area for those with children, and the service is attentive. It offers great value for money, making it a top choice for a holiday!

Highly recommend! This is the best value for money hotel in Wuxi! This used to be the Grand Hyatt, rebranded last year. The overall environment is clean, elegant, and well-maintained. The high-floor views are expansive, and it's located in the heart of the city's central business district, with excellent dining, shopping, and transportation options nearby. The overall experience was superb. From check-in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The butler followed up on our needs throughout our stay, proactively asking if we needed assistance – very professional and meticulous, making the experience top-notch. The hotel proactively upgraded the twin room we booked for my parents to a high-floor room on the 62nd floor for free, offering even better views and a more comfortable stay. This thoughtful upgrade was truly heartwarming. We stayed in the Candy House themed bunk bed room, and my child absolutely loved it the moment we walked in. After visiting several cities on this trip, my child directly rated this as their favorite place overall, saying they loved Wuxi the most. This high praise from a child truly reflects the hotel's dedication. The only minor drawback was the parking experience: upon arrival, there were very few signs, and almost no hotel-specific signage in the parking lot, making it difficult to find our way. Also, the third basement level had an unpleasant smell, while the second basement level was fine. This was a slight inconvenience. The hotel's proactive upgrade, the attentive service throughout, the excellent environment, and the comprehensive surrounding amenities, plus the kid-favorite themed room, made this stay a perfect 10. Whether for a family vacation or a business trip, this is an excellent choice in Wuxi. I will definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Wuxi!

Location: Absolutely unbeatable downtown location! Surrounded by all the high-end department stores, and the subway station is just a short walk away. Plus, all kinds of food delivery services can reach you in about ten to fifteen minutes. Amenities: The projector is fantastic, especially once I activated the membership – that really enhanced the experience, which I have to praise. Most Airbnb-style places just have basic set-top box functions, hahaha. There's also a big fridge and a washing machine; I didn't use them, but it's great that they're there. Cleanliness: A big shoutout for the disposable bath towels and toilet seat covers – that's a huge bonus for me! I usually bring my own, but having them provided just makes the experience so much better. The hairdryer placement is also very user-friendly; it's on a shelf, making it easy to grab and put away. Highly recommend! Environment: This is inside an apartment building, and it was my first time staying on the 53rd floor – so cool, hahaha! The building has 155 rooms across nearly 70 floors, with four elevators that are incredibly fast. Service: The front desk staff just gave a basic introduction when I checked in. Room instructions were sent to my phone. Parking is quite good too; if you leave your license plate number, you get a 30 [currency unit] deduction.

Facilities: A bit dated. As an established five-star hotel, there's room for improvement, especially in adapting to current trends. Adding shower stalls is a must; having only a bathtub is quite inconvenient. Cleanliness: Generally satisfactory, but there's room for improvement in the details. The water stains on the nightstand, for instance, might be tough to clean due to age, but they still look unappealing. Environment: The environment is quite good. It's in a city center location with convenient transportation. The lobby is grand and elegant, and the overall feel is very comfortable. The dining options are comprehensive and varied – the food was good. However, it would be better if guests were informed about their room's location upon check-in. Some rooms face away from the street, offering no city view, which can negatively impact the guest experience. Service: It meets five-star hotel standards. There are greeters and bellhops at the entrance/exit, and the front desk service is warm and attentive. They helped with luggage, and there were even welcome gifts, showing a thoughtful touch. I'd definitely stay here again to experience the environment and service of the new building.

This hotel's ambiance is fantastic! A dedicated guest relations manager reached out beforehand with a hotel guide – truly a hidden gem with pleasant surprises at every turn, showcasing all that Yangzhou has to offer. My trip was specifically to introduce my child to Huaiyang cuisine. This hotel conveniently houses the studio of Master Zhou Xiaoyan, a leading figure in Huaiyang cuisine. Unfortunately, as there were only two of us, we couldn't meet the dining requirements there. However, the Michelin-starred 'Shang Palace' on the ground floor more than made up for it. Huge thanks to the guest relations manager for helping us book a table in advance, otherwise, we would have been sorely disappointed. The room was spacious with excellent natural light and views, making for a truly refreshing stay. The housekeeping staff even helped lay out floor towels, which was a lovely touch. A super experience overall!

The Jieziyuan Hotel is located in the Laomendong scenic area, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. We booked a special suite in the North Courtyard, which was incredibly spacious and had underfloor heating, making air conditioning unnecessary. The only downside was that the lighting was a bit dim. The breakfast at Wanguochun Chinese Restaurant was fantastic! The old duck vermicelli soup, mini wontons, and youdunzi (fried dough fritters) were all delicious and made fresh to order. We enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked lunch there too. After breakfast, we could easily access the Jieziyuan Garden directly from the hotel's back entrance, enjoying a quiet morning stroll through Laomendong.

GGuest UserLocated in the Science and Technology City of Suzhou High-tech Zone, the surrounding area integrates the elements of ”technology, landscape, and humanities” and is close to an artificial lake. The environment is quiet and suitable for vacation. The hotel is close to Taihu Avenue and has convenient transportation, but the business atmosphere in the Science and Technology City area is relatively quiet, and you need to travel a short distance to nearby commercial entities. With environmental protection, natural landscape and family-friendly facilities as its core advantages, Element Suzhou is suitable for tourists seeking a quiet vacation or a short business trip. Its kitchen configuration and parent-child services are particularly outstanding, but improvements need to be made in terms of spraying less air freshener and surrounding convenience.

CChifanpeiyinliaoThis hotel is definitely a great place to walk your kids! The ecology is very good! We even saw a hare! But maybe it’s because it’s outdoors! It seems like the door to the candy room is a little broken! Not so easy to close! Then the electric cars in the park require money to use but they are too slow! And the cost is a bit high! The service attitude at the front desk is very good! Very eager to help! The road to the swimming pool is not easy to walk! Must be very careful! It's easy to fall! The locker room environment needs cleaning! The interior of the room is clean and acceptable!

JJiayongThe B&B has a nice courtyard and good service. However, no matter how good the view is, the main purpose is to sleep, and the room had a piercing high-frequency electrical noise that kept me up all night. The owner reportedly sleeps on the second floor himself, so why haven't they fixed this hardware issue? Also, the so-called private courtyard pool is just a small puddle in their guesthouse, not a private pool for your room. I'm truly baffled by this misleading claim. I heard the owner is even a chairman of an association; if a chairman is like this, what about the other member establishments? The chairman said if you mention his name, the restaurants on the street would give you some 'snacks' – but these so-called snacks are just a small flatbread that all restaurants serve, whether you mention his name or not. The restaurant where I mentioned his name even overcharged me by dozens of yuan on the bill. In short, if you're just going for a photoshoot, it might be okay, but if you're truly looking for a relaxing vacation stay, I'd recommend sticking to professional hotels.

AAngelacongcongA family paradise within a garden, an unexpectedly great stay. This time, I brought my family to the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou, and the hotel upgraded us to a two-bedroom family suite, which was fantastic – definitely made the right choice! The space was wide and airy, with two well-arranged bedrooms. Both the elders and kids had their own private resting areas, undisturbed, perfectly suiting our family trip needs. The room's facilities and amenities were incredibly comprehensive. The mini-bar offered a rich variety of drinks, and the toiletries were from premium brands with a luxurious feel. The smart home controls were convenient to use, and even small details like children's slippers and bathrobes were thoughtfully provided, making for a perfect stay. The most pleasant surprise was the hotel's garden style; opening the balcony door revealed beautifully arranged scenery – small bridges, flowing water, and lush greenery, making it feel like we were in a traditional Jiangnan courtyard. During the day, we strolled through the garden enjoying the views, and in the evening, we chatted in the room. The 'Cherry' staff were also attentive and thoughtful, providing excellent service that was helpful but never intrusive. A morning culinary delight, the breakfast experience was exceptional. Waking up in the morning, I headed straight to the restaurant to kickstart an energetic day! The hotel's breakfast truly amazed me; the variety was so extensive it was hard to choose, ranging from Chinese hot porridge and delicate dim sum to Western cold dishes, covering almost all tastes. The signature Eggs Benedict is a must-try; the poached egg was perfectly cooked, the yolk slowly oozing out when cut, paired with crispy English muffins and rich Hollandaise sauce, offering a delightful blend of textures and a harmonious mix of sweet, sour, and savory flavors – every bite was a pleasant surprise. The freshly made omelets are also not to be missed; the chef was skilled, and I chose the bacon and cheese option. The egg was soft and tender, with ample filling, and the steaming hot taste was incredibly comforting. Besides these two signature dishes, there were also fresh fruits, freshly ground coffee, and many other options. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the service staff proactively asked about our needs, ensuring an excellent experience throughout. This lavish breakfast not only filled our stomachs but also brought a full day of happiness, definitely worth visiting!

GGuest UserThis hotel is located on Pingjiang Road, surrounded by plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, and it's also not far from Guanqian Street, which is very convenient. The hotel itself has an ancient, charming style, and there were quite a few ladies taking photos in traditional costumes at the entrance. Front desk staffer Xiao Wang provided warm and thoughtful service, even kindly upgrading my room (luckily there was a vacant one). Before I left, he also gave me a souvenir bag of Suzhou specialty snacks. My experience was excellent. I'll definitely come back again.

RRuthWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.
