The hotel environment is decent, but the check-in experience was just so-so. Besides the room phone, it was difficult to find someone to ask questions, and a certain front desk staff member wasn't clear in their communication. I booked a Lijing Twin Room, and it was very inconvenient traveling with a child. First: Upon arrival, there were no directions on how to get to the lobby. I had to park in the parking lot and then carry my luggage to the lobby. The room assigned and the lobby were in two different buildings, requiring me to lug my bags up and down. With no directions or map, it felt like a maze trying to find my way around. Second: I extended my stay for one night, but I still had to go to the front desk to reactivate my room card. The first time, they were busy, and I said I'd go back to my room and they could process it over the phone. They said that was fine, and didn't mention I absolutely had to come to the front desk. Later, when I called, they said it wasn't possible and I *had* to come in person or add them on WeChat. Even by check-out, my WeChat friend request hadn't been accepted! To get to the front desk, I had to take two elevators or walk outside in the rain. The corridors were also very winding and long, making it inconvenient to get to the lobby and restaurant. There were many self-service aspects, and they didn't explain the parking rules, which resulted in me being charged when I drove out. In short, they only answer if you ask; otherwise, you get no information. All the so-called 'special features' or 'unique activities' were chargeable, and the travel photography was just a joke.

RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games. **Ratings** Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities. Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout. Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days. **Things to Consider** It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center. If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include: - ATV rides - Fishing area - Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter) - Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry) - Train ride (30 RMB) The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car. **Challenges We Faced** My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available. However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

The room was clean and had a unique charm. The hostess was lovely and incredibly thoughtful. I've already booked for next year! My trip was a bit rushed this time, so I didn't get to fully appreciate all the creative touches at Zhoushuang Life Inn. I'll save that for next year's visit.

**Location:** The hotel is located right in the heart of Shantang Street, which makes it very convenient for shopping, sightseeing and exploring the area on foot. However, there is an important drawback: cars cannot reach the hotel directly. You will need to drag your luggage for several hundred metres along a rocky path to get there. To reach the hotel, you also have to walk through its front shop, which functions partly as a silk shop and museum. During peak hours, this area can get extremely crowded and hectic, making it quite difficult to navigate with luggage. This can be particularly inconvenient for families with young children or those travelling with large or multiple suitcases. **Room:** The room was relatively clean and spacious, with a bathtub. However, the view was disappointing as our room faced a 民宿/local residential buildings rather than the river. The room came with basic amenities. **Service:** The front desk staff, Xin, Summer and Xiao Ma, were helpful and friendly. Fish food was provided for the kids to feed the koi while we waited for check-in, which was a nice touch. The staff also helped carry our luggage to our room and, during check-out, helped bring our luggage to the designated pick-up point where our driver could meet us. **Breakfast:** Breakfast was a set meal consisting of noodles with bamboo shoots and meat, a hard-boiled egg, corn, pickles and grapes. It was very simple and, honestly, not very tasty. We ended up leaving most of it untouched. **Add-ons / Extras:** Apparently, the minibar is complimentary, but this was not mentioned to us during check-in. Some snacks also appeared to be provided for free, although again, we were not informed about this. We also did not receive the welcome fruit mentioned on the booking website. There is a complimentary 30-minute photoshoot that includes three free photos, with the option to purchase additional photos. Unfortunately, our experience with the photoshoot was very disappointing. The photographer appeared inexperienced and struggled to find flattering angles. Many of the photos were overexposed or captured awkward facial expressions. We were quite surprised by the overall quality of the photos. **Overall:** The hotel's biggest advantage is definitely its location — being right on Shantang Street makes sightseeing extremely convenient. The staff were also helpful and accommodating. However, the difficult luggage access, crowded entrance, disappointing breakfast and poor-quality photoshoot were significant drawbacks, especially for families travelling with young children and large luggage.

Last May Day, we visited the Club Med in Taicang, and the GOs recommended the newly opened Club Med in Nanjing. This summer, I brought my child here for a weekend (three days, two nights) during the school holidays, and the experience was fantastic, definitely a full five-star rating! **Accommodation:** The rooms were clean and tidy, and the housekeeping was meticulous. The cleaning staff were very friendly and patient, always refilling our drinking water. The resort grounds are spacious and comfortable, with excellent natural surroundings. You can overlook the lake from the balcony, offering a wide and open view. **Activities:** There are plenty of facilities for play, both indoors and outdoors. We happened to be here during a heatwave, so we mostly opted for indoor activities. The indoor sports area includes basketball, badminton, table tennis, billiards, and rock climbing, as well as a 'parkour' area (similar to an adventure course) that my child loved, which we visited for two consecutive days. You can also book KTV sessions. When it's hot, you can also sit at the U Bar and play cards, which is very relaxing. Outdoor activities are also abundant. You can cross a bridge to 'Explore Park,' where you can try archery, kayaking, windsurfing, or even the 'flying trapeze.' However, the flying trapeze requires training, and you need to be able to hang from a bar with both hands for at least ten counts. Neither of us had that much grip strength (we could only manage up to five), so we just watched other 'experts' try it. Kayaking was quite nice; the lake water was clear, and there were little ducks swimming around. It's best to go in the late afternoon, around 5-6 pm, to avoid the intense sun for a better experience. My sister and I kayaked together, and circling the large lake wasn't tiring at all. It's suitable for mothers or older children with moderate physical fitness. **Service:** The butler service was online throughout our stay, with quick responses and smooth communication. Whether it was booking activities or requesting supplies, they responded and handled everything promptly. When we wanted a clothes drying rack for our swimwear on the balcony after swimming, it was provided very quickly, which was incredibly thoughtful and professional. Being peak summer holiday season, the restaurant entrance traffic was also managed efficiently; just stating your room number allowed for quick entry, which was very user-friendly. Here, you can shed your fatigue and quietly enjoy your holiday. I'm already planning to come back when the weather isn't so scorching (the 'furnace city' reputation is certainly well-deserved). **Two additional points:** There's an external food delivery pick-up point near the entrance, which is very convenient. I also loved the hotel's lighting fixtures; they were very artistic. Finally, a big thank you to our butler, KIKI Angel, for the excellent service!

I only stayed one night at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou, but the experience was exceptional, far exceeding my expectations. The hotel's overall design is elegant, perfectly blending traditional 'Zhuhui' (bamboo grove) elements with modern aesthetics. The public areas are quiet and stylish. The room facilities were excellent; the bedding was soft and comfortable, soundproofing was great, and the bathroom featured a wet/dry separation. The toiletries were high-quality, and the mini-bar offered a good selection of drinks, making for a very convenient and relaxing stay. Breakfast offered a wide variety, with both Suzhou-style flavors and Western options, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I especially want to thank Vickey, our concierge, who proactively contacted me before check-in to confirm my needs. When she learned I wanted to do a travel photoshoot, she immediately helped arrange the time. The next day, realizing the photoshoot was scheduled for the afternoon, Vickey took the initiative to arrange a late check-out for me. This meant I didn't have to rush and could leisurely finish the shoot before returning to my room to pack. Throughout my stay, Vickey was incredibly responsive on WeChat for any questions, and even helped deliver takeout to my room. All requests were handled thoughtfully and seamlessly. This kind of proactive service, anticipating guests' needs, truly put me at ease. The hotel's facilities and service are top-notch. One night wasn't enough! If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with attentive service.

Let's talk about the location first: I originally wanted to book a hotel by Jinji Lake, but I'm so glad I booked here instead – it's incredibly convenient! Pingjiang Road is right outside, making it easy to find food, entertainment, and buy souvenirs. But what I really want to rave about is the service. We drove here, and on a weekend, there were a lot of cars around the attractions. I contacted the front desk, and a staff member named Xiao Xu immediately arranged someone to help us with our luggage and provided valet parking. We went straight to the hotel, and a dedicated driver parked our car. When we wanted to go elsewhere, we chose to take the subway, and they even arranged a car to pick us up and drop us off at the high-speed rail station – all we had to do was contact the concierge. We stayed for one night, and we had to check out before 12 PM the next day. I thought the service would end after check-out, but that wasn't the case at all. In the afternoon, we bought some souvenirs and stored them at the hotel. In the evening, when we returned to our car, they even arranged a dedicated staff member to help us carry everything to the car, including all our luggage. The service was absolutely fantastic!!! If we didn't know what to eat or where to stay, the front desk would always arrange everything perfectly. The room has a Suzhou-style garden decoration, giving you the feeling of living in a traditional garden. The building itself is 300 years old, and the environment is lovely, plus it's very clean. What I want to praise the most is truly the amazing service; it made traveling with kids so convenient. Even after checking out, the service didn't diminish, which I'm really grateful for!

Traveling to Wuxi with kids during the National Day holiday, we chose this hotel. First off, the location is great. It's right in the city center, above a subway station, making it convenient to go anywhere. There are plenty of dining options downstairs, and a shopping mall right next door. The views are also quite good; you get a panoramic view of Wuxi city from the sky lobby. The service was generally fine, though the front desk told me they would notify me when the room was ready, but they never did. I ended up calling to check after lunch and coffee. Breakfast was so-so, not a huge variety, but it was edible. Overall, it's a pretty good choice for tourists.

We booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!
