We had a perfect stay at Pan Pacific Suzhou!
The suite was incredibly spacious and comfortable, consisting of two connected rooms. One room featured a king-size bed, a large living room, and a luxurious bathroom with a huge bathtub. The second room had two single beds, which was perfect for our two adult children.
The layout was very thoughtful, with two separate bathrooms and toilets, plus an additional guest toilet in the living room. With four of us staying together, we never had to wait for the bathroom — a huge convenience!
The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful gardens, traditional architecture, and a pagoda, making it feel like a scenic attraction in itself. As a special bonus, the hotel provided a complimentary 60-minute Hanfu experience, allowing us to take wonderful photos around the property.
Honestly, the hotel is so beautiful that you could easily spend a day exploring the grounds without leaving. Another thoughtful touch was that each room was provided with an entire carton of bottled mineral water, which was greatly appreciated.
Overall, an exceptional stay with spacious accommodations, beautiful surroundings, and excellent hospitality. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Suzhou!

The hotel's location is excellent, right above a shopping mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The subway station is just outside, so getting anywhere is a breeze. Check-in at the front desk was super fast, and the staff were very friendly.
The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with comprehensive facilities, including a soundbar – perfect for relaxing with music after a day out. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows provided fantastic natural light; in the morning, pulling back the curtains let sunlight flood the entire room.
Finally, the restaurant offers a wide variety of food, and the environment is very tidy, with tables being cleared quickly after guests finish.
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and is ideal for family trips. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Suzhou!
Before check-in, I received a message from Luanne at the hotel, who thoughtfully reminded us of all the details we hadn't even considered and made excellent arrangements. A big wish of mine when returning to Nanjing and staying at the Zifeng InterContinental was to see my alma mater, and this time it was perfectly realized. I saw my alma mater embracing the purple aura of Zijin Mountain, a moment I'll remember for a long time.

What a fantastic vacation experience! Over four days and three nights, we got to try out buildings 9, 2, and 8, each with its own advantages. My personal preference, in descending order, is 2 ≥ 9 ≥ 8.
First, let's talk about the courtyard room in building 2. What I loved most was waking up to lush greenery right outside my window. I could step into the courtyard in my pajamas and soak in nature. Even when it rained, there was no need to worry about not being able to go out; there were tables and chairs in the courtyard perfect for quietly watching the rain. It truly maximized that relaxed, vacation feel, ideal for unwinding and recharging. The facilities weren't old either; I found them perfectly fine.
Next up is the suite in building 9. It's spacious, featuring a living room, bedroom, study, and two bathrooms. The Chinese-style decor felt grand and expansive, and the garden views from the window were also excellent. It would be very comfortable for a family. Since there were only two of us, we didn't need such a large space, which is why I personally preferred building 2, though building 9 was indeed great.
Building 8 is the newest and most modern. It offers breakfast (which 2 and 9 don't), and it was quite good. The window seats in the restaurant also boasted amazing views. They even provide complimentary bedtime snacks (again, something 2 and 9 lack) and you can choose hot milk, which was a very thoughtful touch. The room quality was also higher, with Bulgari toiletries, Evian and Nongfu Spring bottled water, and better quality disposable slippers and mattresses. However, my personal priority for a resort hotel is the scenery, so building 8 ranked slightly lower for me. For those who prioritize room quality and service details, this building is definitely worth considering.
The overall landscaping and service throughout the hotel grounds were excellent. Before coming, I wondered if people were exaggerating when they said you don't need to leave the hotel for a vacation, but after experiencing it, I realized it's true. Staying at the Yingbinguan is perfect for a low-energy, lazy person like me who doesn't want to wake up early for itineraries or battle crowds at tourist attractions. Beyond the hotel, everyone we encountered in Yangzhou – at attractions, restaurants, and museums – was incredibly nice. Thank you, Yangzhou, for giving us such precious travel memories. We'll definitely be back for another vacation!
The location is absolutely unbeatable. Yunlong Lake is just a few steps away, literally right next to a 5A scenic area. You can walk out the door and stroll along the lake, enjoying the breeze. It's about a ten-minute walk to Yunlong Mountain and the Han Portrait Stone Art Museum, and Xuzhou Museum isn't far either. No need to rush in the morning, perfect for a relaxed trip. Parking is free for drivers, and there are plenty of spaces, so no worries about finding a spot.
The hotel also upgraded our room. The huge floor-to-ceiling window offered a direct view of the entire Yunlong Lake. In the evening, the lake shimmered with golden light during sunset – it was incredibly therapeutic to just sit by the window on the sofa and relax. The bedding was just right, with both soft and firm pillows, so even those who prefer firm pillows can sleep soundly. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, with both a bathtub and shower. The toiletries had a subtle, high-end scent, not a cheap artificial fragrance. After a day of sightseeing, a bath was perfect for unwinding. The cleanliness was impeccable, with corners and the vanity sparkling. It was a very comfortable stay.
Breakfast deserves a special shout-out! It wasn't the usual generic buffet. All the local Xuzhou specialties were available! Freshly fried dough sticks, 'laomo juan sanzi' (pancake rolls with crispy treats), and handmade 'jianbing guozi' (savory crepes) were all there. No need to wake up early and queue for local breakfast outside. The freshly cooked rice noodle station was super popular, and the beef bone broth was incredibly fresh. Western pastries and freshly ground coffee were also available.
The hotel's facilities are comprehensive. The constant-temperature indoor pool was super relaxing after a tiring day. The gym had enough equipment. The view from the executive lounge was absolutely stunning; enjoying a drink while looking at the nighttime lights of Yunlong Lake created an amazing ambiance, perfect for couples or friends. The Chinese restaurant served authentic local dishes, with delicious 'digou ji' (pot-stewed chicken) and Huaiyang cuisine. It was great to have the option to dine in the hotel instead of going out.
The service was warm and attentive. Check-in at the front desk was quick. We requested a high-floor lake view, and the staff did their best to accommodate. Special thanks to Bree at the front desk; she was very responsive to our needs, and her attention to detail was incredibly thoughtful.

After the Gaokao (college entrance exam), my friends and I decided to visit Nanjing. We stumbled upon the Atour Hotel Zhongshan Ling and what a great choice it was! The hotel is located right within the Zhongshan Ling scenic area. It used to be an orphanage school where Soong Mei-ling and Soong Ching-ling once taught, so it's absolutely steeped in history and feels incredibly significant. The rooms are charming with a full民國 (Republic of China) style and all the amenities you could ask for. Hotel staff member Zoe provided excellent service, always accommodating our requests. Five-star rating! Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it~

Pros:
The building's cruise ship-like design is highly distinctive and unique. Located right next to Jinji Lake, the entire building lights up at night, creating an absolutely stunning view when combined with the lake and the city's nightscape across the water. Evening strolls around the lake offer fantastic photo opportunities.
The frontline staff are excellent. The doorman actively helped with luggage, and the front desk reception was warm and courteous, responding quickly to any questions.
Cons:
The family room was cramped, seemingly converted from a standard twin room. Due to the hotel's curved cruise ship architectural structure, the overall space was on the smaller side. After placing the beds and children's toys, the activity area felt very crowded. The attention to detail was lacking; there was no step stool for children in the bathroom, which is a noticeable shortcoming compared to similarly priced family-friendly hotels.
The hotel has been open for some years, and the facilities are showing some age; the carpets in the public areas had noticeable stains, which was unsightly.
During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the swimming pool was extremely crowded. Coupled with the pool's age and small size, swimming felt very cramped. I recommend avoiding peak times if you plan to use it.

It is a newly opened hotel, and the service facilities have nothing to say. The breakfast is super rich, facing the lake view. By the way, I went to the 2nd floor to visit the banquet hall ~ It's very big! ! The first time there is such a big hotel in Binhai Park, I hope I can open it! ! ! ! BTW, as the first guest to stay at this hotel, the hotel sent a small cake, happy 🥳
A perfect Dragon Boat Festival trip to Nanxiang (Shangri-La Nanjing).
My friends and I planned a Dragon Boat Festival gathering in Nanjing early on, and I decided to bring my elderly parents along to experience Nanxiang (Shangri-La Nanjing). We came away with so many wonderful memories.
On Friday, after checking out of the Westin next door, we arrived at the Shangri-La. The attentive doormen, spacious lobby, and familiar fragrance immediately made a great first impression.
The long line of reception desks showcases the confidence of a large hotel. The young lady who checked us in was professional and enthusiastic, helping us secure a room with a fantastic view! Despite being a hotel that's been open for over ten years, Nanxiang, both in its public areas and guest rooms, is far better maintained than the Marriott next door. It doesn't feel old at all; instead, it has a timeless charm and excellent, attentive service.
For this trip, I was out and about most of the time. My parents are older, sensitive to heat, and not keen on running around, so I booked a Horizon Club Partial Lake View Room directly through Ctrip and purchased the club benefits for both of them. After all, the quality of Shangri-La's restaurants is well-known, and it proved to be well worth the price. All three meals—breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner—were incredibly lavish and received unanimous praise from my parents, far surpassing the Marriott next door. What's truly remarkable is that even with high table turnover during a holiday, they managed to maintain such high service standards. That deserves commendation.
We did encounter a minor hiccup during our stay when a phone order was mistakenly canceled. However, the staff reacted quickly and provided an acceptable solution right away.
Next time I'm in Nanjing for a business trip, I'll definitely choose Nanxiang again.

Our home was getting new beds, so I spontaneously decided to take my child for a two-night stay, and I never expected to have such a wonderfully relaxing parent-child time at the Marriott. The most pleasant surprise during this stay was Ivy at the front desk, who thoughtfully upgraded us to an executive suite for free. The moment we opened the door, the spacious room, bright floor-to-ceiling windows, and the expansive view of Zilang Lake outside instantly made us feel at ease.
There was also a small incident that made my impression of this hotel soar even higher. Since I had to get up early for a planned activity one day and was worried about oversleeping on another, I hadn't booked breakfast when making the reservation. This morning, however, my child really wanted to have the hotel breakfast, and I was looking a mess and really didn't want to go downstairs, so I told her to go to the restaurant and buy one herself. To my surprise, when the restaurant staff heard the situation, they actually let my child have it for free! This unexpected act of kindness truly touched me.
The only minor regret is that my child brought her swimsuit for nothing. We had planned to go swimming in the heated pool, but my child kept procrastinating with her homework and ran out of time, so we never made it. Well, there's always next time.

AAnonymous UserI rarely write long reviews, but this hotel, at best, is a business hotel. Don't try to market it as a family-friendly hotel when it's clearly not. Just adding a few kid activities and a small train doesn't make it one.
1. The room had absolutely no children's amenities: no kids' toothbrushes, no kids' slippers. You couldn't even install a bed rail because there was nowhere to attach it. 😂
2. The showerhead was broken, with water leaking from the side.
3. There were only two extremely high pillows. Seriously, don't standard hotels usually provide four pillows? Two high, two low? I ended up having to sleep with clothes propped under my head.
4. The front desk staff (the guy with glasses) during both check-in and check-out had the same unhelpful attitude as a budget hotel chain's front desk. In fact, a budget hotel might even be more welcoming. If you don't want to work during the May Day holiday, just switch shifts! 😠
5. The housekeeping auntie definitely hasn't been trained. She was pushing a huge mattress and nearly hit a child while turning a corner.
The only positive feedback I have is for the kind female front desk staff member who enthusiastically helped me find my lost ID card.

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

GGuest UserThe room was clean and had a unique charm. The hostess was lovely and incredibly thoughtful. I've already booked for next year! My trip was a bit rushed this time, so I didn't get to fully appreciate all the creative touches at Zhoushuang Life Inn. I'll save that for next year's visit.
GGuest UserChecked into Club Med Nanjing Xianlin for the Dayark Theatre Season, and the experience was a solid five stars! 🌟
The entire resort transformed into an immersive theatrical wonderland. Plays were being performed everywhere – on the lawn, by the pool, and in the lobby. You weren't confined to a theater; you could stumble upon a brilliant show just walking around. The Russian version of 'Three Autumn Days' 🎭 had an incredible atmosphere. The bonfire and water features as natural stage design were truly innovative.
A special shout-out to the GRO team, Frankie and Diana! ✨🥰 From check-in, they were incredibly attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. They proactively provided the schedule and locations for the theater festival, and our itinerary was perfectly clear. When we couldn't find a theater or had questions about activities, they responded super quickly with a gentle and patient demeanor. Communication was smooth in both English and Chinese, and their attention to detail was really heartwarming.
Enjoying a relaxing vacation while immersing ourselves in high-quality theater, complemented by professional and caring GRO service – this is the pinnacle of short cultural getaways in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region. We'll definitely be back for the next theater season!

GGuest UserKimpton Bamboo Grove was my top choice for a Suzhou getaway, and Cherry arranged a garden-view room on the third floor that was absolutely divine – the view was incredible! My entire stay was perfect. The hotel, designed by SCDA, seamlessly blends traditional Suzhou gardens within its white walls and dark tiled roofs, creating an immersive atmosphere with beautiful scenes at every turn. The third-floor location was ideal, perfectly avoiding any obstructions. The panoramic floor-toceiling windows and private viewing balcony framed the central courtyard's flowing water, lush bamboo, and rockeries like a natural masterpiece. During the day, sunlight danced on the water, and bamboo shadows swayed with the breeze. In the evening, the courtyard lights illuminated the water with a soft glow. Sitting on the wicker chair on the balcony, sipping tea and enjoying the breeze, listening to the gentle sound of flowing water – it was incredibly peaceful and therapeutic amidst the city bustle. The 48-square-meter room was spacious and airy, with a new Chinese minimalist decor that was clean and elegant. The Sealy mattress was soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the oversized bathtub by the window, paired with Atelier Bloem bath amenities, made for a truly ritualistic bathing experience with a view. The first round of mini-bar drinks, capsule coffee, and local teas were all complimentary – attention to detail was evident everywhere. The staff were kind and attentive. It's also within walking distance of the Master of the Nets Garden and Canglang Pavilion, making it very convenient for getting around. This hotel offers an immersive experience of Suzhou's slow-paced lifestyle. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou!
GGuest UserAn absolutely wonderful experience! If you're coming to Suzhou, staying in a garden-style setting is a must. This hotel is a conversion of a 300-year-old house. While the building is old, all the facilities are incredibly modern, including a gym, pool, and even Dyson hair dryers. It's just a bridge away from Pingjiang Road, so you can enjoy the bustling lights on one side while having your own tranquil oasis on the other (the courtyard rooms are behind the wall you see in the video). The hotel breakfast is excellent, a semi-buffet of Chinese and Western small plates, complemented by your choice of a Chinese or Western main course. The breakfast noodles are especially delicious, served with fresh water chestnuts and shrimp. I particularly want to commend the hotel's service; it was truly warm and welcoming.
The hotel is a convenient 20-minute walk (or 5-minute bike ride) to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator's Garden, and Lion Grove Garden. Ou Garden is a 10-minute walk. Wangshi Garden is a bit further, about a 15-minute bike ride. I'd recommend getting a joint ticket for the first three gardens, which is valid for three days. There are also some fantastic restaurants nearby, and both Pingjiangfu and Jinhaihua are within walking distance. If your budget allows, definitely go for the Songmaoju Suite – it's a private house with its own courtyard, so you won't have to worry about footsteps from above or noise from the shared courtyard. They also have smaller standard rooms to suit various budgets. A small heads-up: one wall of the courtyard rooms faces Pingjiang Road, so it can be a bit noisy during the day, but don't worry, it's very quiet at night.
Just a minor suggestion: the super-large bathroom with a bathtub, double sinks, and three separate areas is fantastic, but there's only one hook. I'd suggest adding a few more. Also, the wardrobe could use some pant hangers.

GGuest UserHighly recommended! Before checking in, I thought it was an old hotel and didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. Although the decor is over 10 years old, all the facilities are of good quality. The furniture, carpets, and bathroom fixtures, though a bit dated, had a better feel than what was shown in the promotional pictures. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent! The cleaning was very thorough, and the room had fresh air with no strange odors (no old room smell). The room also offered an open view and was quiet!
The front desk and restaurant staff I encountered during my stay were very helpful and efficient in handling requests and resolving issues. You could tell they were well-trained!
Considering the location, service, and quality, it offers great value for money!
Suggestions for improvement: There was only one tissue box at the washbasin. I recommend placing another one in the bedroom area. Also, it might be a good idea to periodically check the seals in the shower and toilet partitions, as there was a minor leak one day.

GGuest UserWhen we arrived, the dam had been repaired, and we could see the beautiful view of Tianmu Lake from the hotel door. The hotel housekeeper contacted us in advance, and we stayed in the private soup room and gave us fish head vouchers. For other dishes, we ordered black rice and The small bamboo shoots are quite delicious when cooked, and the experience is still very good!
GGuest UserI came to Nanjing for Liu Yuning's concert, and the Regalia Hotel I chose this time truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is about 3 kilometers from the venue, so a taxi ride was very quick. After the show, I could get back to my room quickly to rest, avoiding a lot of traffic headaches. The location is absolutely perfect for concert-goers. What touched me even more was the hotel's service, especially Ada at the front desk. She was so warm and attentive, making me feel incredibly welcomed from check-in to check-out. It added a lot of warmth to my solo fan-chasing trip. Although the room wasn't huge, it was decorated very cozily and was impeccably clean. The bedding was comfortable, allowing me to get a good night's sleep after days of rushing around and the excitement of the concert.
The only 'minor regret' was Nanjing's weather these past two days – the temperature fluctuated quite a bit, which was a bit unexpected. However, the hotel itself was always warm and comfortable. If I come to Nanjing again for a show or to visit, Regalia will definitely be my first choice!
