This was my first visit to Country Garden Xianning, and I truly felt it's the best hotel in the area. Yet, the official photos make it look quite old and dated, which always led us to travel further to Chibi for hot springs. In actuality, both the hotel's ambiance and the room conditions far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant environment was lovely, and the breakfast was hearty. They really should consider updating their promotional images!
We were upgraded to a room with a spacious bay window. We asked a staff member for an extra duvet, and the kids absolutely loved playing on it!
The Water World is located just across the road from the hotel, with a convenient shuttle service. While the hot springs remain the main draw, they've also added a wave pool and a bubble pool. The large slide is unfortunately out of commission, but for those not keen on thrilling rides, there's still plenty to enjoy. The wave pool's waves were genuinely some of the largest I've encountered in any hotel-affiliated water park – far surpassing those at a certain family hotel newly opened in Wuhan, which charges double the price! The complimentary use of single and double swim rings is also a thoughtful touch.
Finally, I must voice my disappointment regarding the kids' activities. The male staff member in charge showed extremely poor crowd control, leading to an utterly chaotic setup. They seriously need to learn from more competent peers in the industry. For starters, the activity content itself was poorly chosen. Knowing it was a weekend and would be busy, they should have anticipated the crowd and opted for simpler, quicker, and easier-to-manage crafts – something like making a lacquer fan or a TCM sachet, which a group could finish in 5-10 minutes. Instead, they went with the most complicated activity, causing everyone to pile into the room and complain. To top it off, the early start was only announced at the last minute.
To make matters worse, they completely disregarded their own rules. Many guests complained that reservations were not honored, and people without reservations were also allowed to join. Even if we overlook the multiple booking groups, the main issue was that anyone who simply ignored the rules could just grab materials and start participating immediately. So, for an activity clearly intended for children, you'd see a family of three: the little boy making two items, his mom making one, and his dad occupying a seat as well. I've been to numerous family hotels where, during off-peak dining hours, they utilize banquet halls for activities, ensuring ample seating for parents to accompany their children at the same table. In situations with limited seating, children typically sit at the activity table while parents use small stools beside them. The priority is always to allow as many children as possible to participate simultaneously, and materials are only distributed to seated kids. I've genuinely never witnessed such disorganization where materials are handed out first, leading to a scramble for seats.
What I found most incomprehensible was this: since many parents were waiting, they had their children playing in an adjacent area. One parent controversially took all the toys, preventing other kids from playing, which naturally sparked a heated argument with other parents. The dispute lasted quite a while and escalated. I even had to interject, 'It's getting pretty intense; aren't you going to send someone to de-escalate?' The male staff member simply replied that he was too swamped with people today and wasn't going to get involved. I countered, 'By the time you're free, they might actually be physically fighting!' After a moment's thought, he made a call and summoned another staff member, but offered no guidance or handover. Consequently, the female staff member, completely unaware of the situation, ended up trying to placate a different guest who was complaining about the activity schedule. Meanwhile, the original two parents continued their shouting match for a while longer. 😂 Frankly, if they can't even monitor or control the situation, they are entirely unfit to manage kids' activities. These activities really turned into a major negative point.

Self-driving to Hubei, found this hotel on Trip.com , the location is in the city center, parking is very convenient, the hotel check-in is very fast, the little girls at the front desk are warm, especially the little girl's work attitude is focused professional enthusiasm, service quality and service awareness are very high, Knowing that we are traveling to Hubei for the first time, we are very intimate to help us plan the attractions and routes of the itinerary, and the service staff on the floor are thoughtful. May your hotel business be prosperous, and may the little girl have a bright future.

Stayed here for 2 nights. I would to thank Ms Diana Zhao, Ms Lisa Wu, and Ms Sunny Ye at the front desk for going the extra mile. They expedited the check in and check out process, helped me with the carpark charges, recommended local food around the area, asked if room service was satisfactory, and highlighted some local attractions. Thanks again !

This hotel really elevated my impression of Wuhan. First off, the service made me feel professional and respected. Before we arrived, my child got some scrapes, and I was a bit worried because I couldn't find any pharmacies nearby on the delivery app. However, when I explained I needed iodine and band-aids, the staff, without any unnecessary fuss, quickly delivered them directly to our room. I hope they continue to maintain such reassuring medical facility provisions.
Secondly, the hotel's decor is incredibly grand and inviting. There's a European-style courtyard on the second floor, which I didn't visit so I don't have photos. But the Chinese-style courtyard in the ground-floor restaurant had a very serene atmosphere, and I even fed the goldfish there. As for the stay experience, the central air conditioning actually worked! Unlike other hotels where setting it to 26°C only gets you 22°C (which often leads to me catching a cold 😷), the air conditioning at this Holiday Inn genuinely reaches 26°C when set, making it very comfortable. I stayed in room 2093, and thanks to excellent soundproofing and great blackout curtains, I managed to get a rare full night's sleep.
Finally, a quick review of the restaurants. There are three on the ground floor, but I only visited one. I'm not sure if Hubei cuisine is generally salty, but I found both my dinner and breakfast to be a bit too salty. I even specifically asked for less salt on my braised Wuchang fish, but it was still extremely salty... Also, the fruit platter was quite disappointing, with only a tiny bit of cantaloupe and cucumber, a mediocre orange, and a single mandarin orange. For the price, it felt a bit perfunctory. I hope they can improve this.

Waking up to the Yangtze River right outside my window, with distant mountains on the other side, was incredibly comforting and heartwarming.
The lobby was spacious and bright, and my room was clean and cozy. But what truly captured my heart was the river view from the window – the Yangtze flowing serenely, with continuous distant mountains opposite. When a light mist enveloped them, the mountain silhouettes were as ethereal as a Chinese ink painting. Breakfast in the restaurant felt like dining in an art space, with light filtering beautifully through the geometric cut-out walls. The service was genuinely thoughtful: the front desk lady was all smiles during check-in, and staff would always greet me in the hallways. There was even an exquisite afternoon tea with coffee, pastries, and a fresh, attractive fruit platter.

Wuhan's cherry blossoms are beautiful, but the real surprise of this stay started with Mike at the Ruihua Hotel. Thanks to his thoughtful arrangements, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room directly overlooking East Lake. This led to an incredible experience the next morning: watching the sunrise from the comfort of our bed! 🌅
I have to say, the quality at Ruihua is consistently excellent, from the Dyson hairdryer and full set of L'Occitane toiletries to the unbeatable lake view outside the window – every detail makes for a comfortable stay. Being right next to Chu River and Han Street also makes getting around incredibly convenient. A big thank you to Mike for making this trip to Wuhan such a wonderful start. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Wuhan!

Transportation: Located in the main urban area, transportation is very convenient. The surrounding amenities are complete, and ordering takeout is a breeze. Facilities/Services: The facilities are well-equipped, and there are plenty of parking spaces with charging stations. Dining: The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, and the breakfast buffet is very extensive. Double Spring Hot Spring Hotel is by far the best hot spring I've ever visited. The environment is great, the facilities are complete, and the service is attentive. Coming during the off-season was truly fantastic; it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Upon checking into the hotel, I realized I had two pieces of clothing with me that urgently needed washing, and I was worried I wouldn't have time to wash them before heading out the next morning. Xiao Long, the receptionist, understood my situation and immediately helped coordinate.
To my surprise, the clothes were delivered to my room by 7 or 8 pm. Xiao Long's efficiency perfectly solved my big problem, leaving me incredibly grateful. I had thought the time pressure would cause delays, but Xiao Long's actions provided a wonderfully satisfactory solution. I sincerely commend Xiao Long's thoughtful service; having such staff at the Jia Hua Hotel is undoubtedly a blessing for every guest, adding a bright touch to my stay!

The location is fantastic! It's super convenient to get to Yellow Crane Tower, the Yangtze River Bridge, the Provincial Museum, and East Lake. Plus, there's SKP nearby for shopping. The subway station connects directly to the hotel's underground garage, making arrival incredibly smooth. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a breathtaking lake view. The service is excellent, and it's a great place for families with children.

GGuest UserThe experience at Marco Polo Wuhan was absolutely fantastic! The location is superb, right on Yanjiang Avenue, next to Hankou Beach. It's within walking distance to Jianghan Road and Lihuangpi Road, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and shopping. The hotel directly faces the Yangtze River, offering expansive river views. The ambiance is elegant and grand, and both the public areas and guest rooms are clean and comfortable. The night views are especially photogenic. The service was thoughtful and attentive; check-in was efficient, and the staff were polite and responsive. Every detail showcased their professionalism. Overall, my stay was comfortable and pleasant, making it suitable for both leisure and business travelers. Highly recommended!
CCidi-huakaiFacilities: It truly lives up to its reputation as a long-standing star-rated hotel. You wouldn't guess the decor is ten years old; it's so well-maintained that it still feels very high-end and grand, completely outshining many contemporary hotel chains. Environment: The hotel is conveniently located close to both the airport and Hankou Railway Station. The surrounding area is quiet, with a Wanda Plaza right downstairs and Tianjie mall within walking distance. I'm a light sleeper and requested a quiet room, and they gave me one far from the elevator shaft and it was non-smoking, plus I got a room upgrade. Overall, the staff were excellent, except for one male concierge on duty the evening I checked in. When I asked him about registering my car plate, he spoke very quickly and seemed agitated. I took it as him being impatient, which was a very unpleasant experience. Also, the housekeeping staff need to be more thorough; when I took a shower, I found the casing of a previous guest's razor on the shower shelf, which didn't feel good at all.
Overall, it's still worth staying here again!

Check-In Experience
Upon arrival, there was a noticeable queue at the lobby. The solo staff member did not promptly call for assistance, leading to guest dissatisfaction when a second line was eventually opened.
Room Condition
The initial room had a musky sandalwood-like odor, possibly from previous guests using spa amenities or smoking. I was offered two alternative rooms and chose the first one, but the smell persisted, likely due to the central air conditioning. The manager on duty provided fruits and snacks as a gesture of goodwill.
Air Conditioning
Both my friend and I found the air conditioning insufficiently cool, waking up sweaty during the night.
Elevator System & Security
The hotel employs a two-lift system: one from the ground floor to the 23rd-floor lobby, and another from there to the guest rooms. This setup raises security concerns. For instance, I encountered a man lingering in the lift without a key card, which was unsettling.
Food Delivery Process
The food delivery process is inconvenient. Deliveries are left on a table at a remote corner of the ground floor, requiring guests to navigate the two-lift system to retrieve their orders.
Laundry Service
On a positive note, the hotel offers a reliable laundry service with same-day pickup if requested before 5:30 PM, which is convenient for travelers packing light.
Overall Impression
While the hotel has commendable services, improvements in staff communication, room air quality, security measures, and food delivery logistics would enhance the guest experience.
MMing tian geng haoThis time, I didn't hesitate and chose Shangri-La without a second thought. As an older five-star hotel, its facilities might not compare to newer establishments, but its service truly shines. From the moment I checked in, Guest Services Manager Yang Han's brief yet incredibly meticulous and thoughtful assistance showcased exceptional professionalism and skill. She made me feel completely at home, setting a benchmark for the industry.
Beyond the other warm services, I must single out the self-service breakfast at the Xiangyuan Western Restaurant – it genuinely moved me. It's undergone a radical transformation since my visit a year ago. The wontons, handmade by the hotel, brought back vivid memories of my childhood, of my grandmother holding my hand and taking me to a restaurant for wontons. So many times I've dreamt of that taste! With just one bite of those wontons, I truly felt like I was home. Then there were the bean curd sheets, siu mai, hot dry noodles served in enamel bowls, stir-fried green beans, stir-fried lettuce – so many dishes, all evoking memories of my hometown. I suddenly realized that even after 30 years away, my memories of home have never faded. And then there's Jingjing; the last time I came, it was her very first day on the job. Years have passed in a flash, and she's still just as enthusiastic and attentive, zipping around the entire restaurant, greeting this guest and attending to that one. And the lovely, sturdy chef with his tall hat, busy frying eggs, and the lady chef at the live station preparing rice noodles – every single one of them is just delightful.
The biggest difference between the Shangri-La Hotel Wuhan and other hotels is that it's a hotel with a soul, a place with incredible cohesion. It's a landmark of Wuhan, and a home in the hearts of those who have left their hometown.

AAtroWe had an excellent stay at this homestay, which exceeded the quality of most hotels I've stayed in. The room was spotless and well-furnished, with no worn-down furniture, a great pillow selection, and high-quality toiletries like shampoo. This family-owned and managed property offers outstanding service.
The staff's service was exceptional—they set up a WeChat group for communication and assisted us with transfers to and from the railway station. Additionally, they arranged a mini-van with a driver for a full-day tour at a very reasonable price, making our trip hassle-free.
The breakfast was a highlight, made with fresh, organic ingredients and homemade dishes. They have their own tea farm, and the tea tasted delicious.
The homestay is beautifully located up on a mountain above the nearby town. Despite the remote location, the staff provided transfers to and from town since there were no taxis available.
Overall, this homestay provided a delightful and memorable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and high-quality stay.

CCaoxiaobaodeshijiezhilvFacilities: This is a new hotel opening in 2025, so all the facilities are brand new. Two minor issues: the toilet isn't a smart toilet, and the TV screen mirroring kept disconnecting.
Cleanliness: Excellent, both the room itself and the housekeeping were very good.
Environment: Overall good. It's a newly developed area with not many amenities nearby, about 5-6 kilometers from the city center.
Service: Generally okay, but a few things stood out: When checking in, the front desk staff initially blurted out that I had only booked 1 night, when it was clearly 3 nights. They later corrected themselves, saying they misread it, so it wasn't a big deal. The breakfast was mediocre, with too few options. The staff even started clearing away dishes before I had finished eating, telling me to go get more myself, which was a very poor experience.
Yun Ting Chinese Restaurant 12% off: I didn't use the discount voucher. Instead, I used a set meal from Dianping for 2-3 people for 288 yuan. It actually fed 4 people very well. Highly recommended, the taste was also excellent. This was the most satisfying dining experience I had at the hotel.
Buffet dinner 198 yuan/person after discount (original price 368 yuan/person) 1 portion/day: Did not experience this.
Spa: This isn't operated by the hotel itself. I recall Westin usually has its own spa brand, but this hotel uses a third-party one. Overall, it was average, a 6 out of 10.

DDoufutravelsMy boyfriend and I just had the most special stay here. From the moment we arrived, the wonderful team looked after us and helped with everything and anything we could want. We’d wanted to eat dinner upon arrival, and so they provided some of the nicest Chinese food I’ve had to date! My recommendation is the fried eggs and leek. We were obsessed! 🤤 The room and the amenities were really high quality, and I especially enjoyed the incredible view from our bedroom. Daily, we were given snacks and fruits. The food was so good that we ordered again on our second night. Truly, the food was 10/10!! For the room, everything was clean, modern and worked well. All the staff were excellent, too. Yang Yang was especially wonderful (picture of us together!) and made sure we had the best time. She helped with organising our trip, including travel. She is a warm, kind person who made all the difference to our trip. She also introduced us to 土豆 the cat—he was just as delightful! As a foreigner in China, sometimes it can be tricky to navigate how best to travel certain areas. This hotel and the wonderful people here made us feel at home. Thanks so much for this memorable trip, Yang Yang —and also to all the lovely people there! You MUST stay here for the best hotel outside Enshi Grand Canyon!! 💚

GGuest UserThis B&B experience was truly amazing, and I absolutely have to give it a thumbs-up!
Upon arrival, I was captivated by the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding mountains and rivers. It felt like I had stumbled into a paradise. In the distance, rolling hills shrouded in mist, while below, a gurgling stream gurgled, crystal clear. The air was filled with the delicate fragrance of plants and trees, and every breath was soothing.
The room at the B&B was also wonderful. It was warm and comfortable, well-equipped, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. Opening the curtains, the panoramic view of the mountains and rivers was breathtaking – a truly beautiful experience.
The owner was simple, warm, and attentive, making me feel incredibly warm from check-in to check-out. We dined at the B&B for several meals, all made with fresh local ingredients, brimming with home-cooked flavors. Finally, before leaving, the owner let me use the kitchen to make a stir-fried rice dish, even paying for it.
There are many fun places around. Whether it is strolling in the mountains or playing by the stream, you can completely relax your body and mind. My daughter and the boss's youngest son didn't want to leave after playing so much. In short, this B&B completely exceeded my expectations. I will definitely come again next time!

DdafieldThis is a good, established hotel with a consistent standard. It's conveniently located right by the subway entrance, and the service is excellent. The rooms have an inner and outer partition, so boiling water in the morning won't disturb anyone. The restaurant is decent, and the noodle shop and cafe are also quite good, though the noodle shop's service could be improved a bit. We especially appreciated the free parent-child activities during the New Year.
For the hotel, I'd suggest adding more parent-child room types. Currently, only king-sized beds are available, and an extra bed costs 200 per night. While the spring mattress provided was good, it's still a bit much.
Other in-room amenities are great. They provided six bottles of water, plus a coffee machine with capsules. Everything looked very clean upon inspection, making it extremely family-friendly. However, the trash can is incredibly small; it was full after just four water bottles. Also, the bathroom partition is an issue – not only does it lack a lock, but it's almost entirely transparent. The frosted film is practically useless, which is really awkward when traveling with kids. I'd suggest the manager experience it themselves, as shown in the picture.
