Service: Due to our reasons, the reservation was wrong, and the front desk helped us change the room. Thank you very much to the front desk lady! Later, my glasses fell off while eating breakfast, and the front desk also helped us put them away. Thank you. Room: The room was clean and tidy without any odor. There was a Gree air purifier and two snacks were given. Hot spring: It was too hot during the day, so we swam and played for a while before taking a hot spring bath. It was very comfortable. Breakfast: As shown in the picture, there are many varieties of breakfast and it is delicious.

This was my first visit to Country Garden Xianning, and I truly felt it's the best hotel in the area. Yet, the official photos make it look quite old and dated, which always led us to travel further to Chibi for hot springs. In actuality, both the hotel's ambiance and the room conditions far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant environment was lovely, and the breakfast was hearty. They really should consider updating their promotional images!
We were upgraded to a room with a spacious bay window. We asked a staff member for an extra duvet, and the kids absolutely loved playing on it!
The Water World is located just across the road from the hotel, with a convenient shuttle service. While the hot springs remain the main draw, they've also added a wave pool and a bubble pool. The large slide is unfortunately out of commission, but for those not keen on thrilling rides, there's still plenty to enjoy. The wave pool's waves were genuinely some of the largest I've encountered in any hotel-affiliated water park – far surpassing those at a certain family hotel newly opened in Wuhan, which charges double the price! The complimentary use of single and double swim rings is also a thoughtful touch.
Finally, I must voice my disappointment regarding the kids' activities. The male staff member in charge showed extremely poor crowd control, leading to an utterly chaotic setup. They seriously need to learn from more competent peers in the industry. For starters, the activity content itself was poorly chosen. Knowing it was a weekend and would be busy, they should have anticipated the crowd and opted for simpler, quicker, and easier-to-manage crafts – something like making a lacquer fan or a TCM sachet, which a group could finish in 5-10 minutes. Instead, they went with the most complicated activity, causing everyone to pile into the room and complain. To top it off, the early start was only announced at the last minute.
To make matters worse, they completely disregarded their own rules. Many guests complained that reservations were not honored, and people without reservations were also allowed to join. Even if we overlook the multiple booking groups, the main issue was that anyone who simply ignored the rules could just grab materials and start participating immediately. So, for an activity clearly intended for children, you'd see a family of three: the little boy making two items, his mom making one, and his dad occupying a seat as well. I've been to numerous family hotels where, during off-peak dining hours, they utilize banquet halls for activities, ensuring ample seating for parents to accompany their children at the same table. In situations with limited seating, children typically sit at the activity table while parents use small stools beside them. The priority is always to allow as many children as possible to participate simultaneously, and materials are only distributed to seated kids. I've genuinely never witnessed such disorganization where materials are handed out first, leading to a scramble for seats.
What I found most incomprehensible was this: since many parents were waiting, they had their children playing in an adjacent area. One parent controversially took all the toys, preventing other kids from playing, which naturally sparked a heated argument with other parents. The dispute lasted quite a while and escalated. I even had to interject, 'It's getting pretty intense; aren't you going to send someone to de-escalate?' The male staff member simply replied that he was too swamped with people today and wasn't going to get involved. I countered, 'By the time you're free, they might actually be physically fighting!' After a moment's thought, he made a call and summoned another staff member, but offered no guidance or handover. Consequently, the female staff member, completely unaware of the situation, ended up trying to placate a different guest who was complaining about the activity schedule. Meanwhile, the original two parents continued their shouting match for a while longer. 😂 Frankly, if they can't even monitor or control the situation, they are entirely unfit to manage kids' activities. These activities really turned into a major negative point.

This is my second visit to Wuhan, and I decided to try a different five-star hotel. This time, I chose the established Shangri-La. My overall impression is that the high price comes with being a five-star hotel, but the five-star experience is solely reflected in the service.
Firstly, I'm not really looking for super new or luxurious facilities; otherwise, reading all those reviews about outdated facilities and furniture would have been enough to 'veto' it. However, there are indeed many areas that could be improved. For example, there are no power outlets on either side of the bed. While the TV not supporting screen mirroring and not being a smart TV is one thing, it's also incredibly unclear with very few channels. These are all manageable, but the most serious issue is the extremely poor soundproofing! In the room, I could clearly hear conversations from the hallway, upstairs, and next door, as well as children running and playing. This level of soundproofing would be disastrous during peak travel seasons like holidays.
As I mentioned earlier, the hotel's biggest highlight is probably its service. There's a staff member in front of the elevators on the ground floor who greets passing guests. When going for breakfast, as soon as you enter, a female staff member asks what you'd like to drink, then prepares it and brings it to your table.
On a side note: the breakfast is quite good. And having stayed at many five-star hotels in China, perhaps apart from Shanghai, this is one of the rare ones that offers plain white rice for breakfast. It's very suitable for those who are accustomed to eating rice (and natto) for breakfast.
In conclusion: if you're looking for quality rest during peak travel seasons and major holidays, this might not be the place for you. However, during the off-season, if you want to experience five-star service, you could consider it. It makes me truly appreciate the common saying online: 'Wuhan – a desert of luxury hotels.'

I went there because it was ranked first on the luxury list, but the bathroom didn't have a ventilator, the room window was too small, it was stuffy without the air conditioner, and it was very noisy when it was turned on. At 7 o'clock in the morning, there were children shouting, running and playing in the corridor. The sound insulation of the room was too poor, and the door slammed loudly, so I couldn't rest well at all. The breakfast was even more exaggerated. It was said to end at 10:30, but there were almost no dishes, cold dishes, hot dishes and fruits, and they were not replenished. The waiters were busy collecting the meals. In the kitchen, there were people who could make noodles except for the noodle shop, and no one else was there. I could only eat noodles and bread. I have stayed in so many five-star hotels, but this is the first time I have seen this situation. I think I have stayed in many five-star hotels, and I have always been reminded to pick up the dishes and collect the meals at the end point. This is the first time I have encountered a situation where there is nothing to eat. Overall, the service and price do not match. I will not stay there again and I don't recommend it.

Our family traveled and stayed at R&F Wanda Realm Hotel in Jingzhou. The hotel is not far from the ancient city and is convenient for sightseeing. Miss Zhao, who received us at the front desk, was very enthusiastic. Seeing that we had a lot of luggage (there was also a wheelchair, and my 90-year-old mother was accompanying us), she asked the concierge to help deliver the luggage to the room. Thank you!
The double room we booked only had 2 breakfasts, so we asked Miss Zhao to help give one to the elderly. Miss Zhao helped apply for it quickly. Thank you Miss Zhao!
The hotel room was clean and hygienic, with complete facilities and good service. Great!

The hotel is in a great location, right next to the ancient city. I chatted with the Didi driver and learned that it was used as a state guesthouse in advance. In addition, it only opened last year, so the hardware and location are first-class. In terms of service, the staff are very good-looking, all handsome men and beautiful women. Before check-in, the housekeeper will add WeChat. I would like to praise Miss Rosy. She replies to messages quickly and can help solve any problems and needs. The hotel concierge, front desk and catering staff are all very enthusiastic.
Overall, the experience is very good, worthy of being the ceiling of Hubei hotels, and worth checking in

Entered the hotel to an absolutely wonderful lobby. To the right was a terrific bar that also serves cake and hot beverages. Our room was on the top floor - the executive floor. This gave us access to their lounge which was a great addition. It gave us a place to relax when inside the hotel with some snacks and beverages. I also very much enjoyed the massage chair in my room! Finally, well stocked buffet for breakfast. Options are limited for “western “ foods but plenty of other options. Great stay!!

Quite a pleasant stay in this hotel. Smooth and quick check-in and out. Easy access to this hotel by MTR Line 4 from Wuhan Railway Station. You can reach the hotel directly by Exit J via B2 carpark. But be noted that it is available only on weekdays from 10:00 to 20:00. The hotel also offers signature Wuhan delicacies for breakfast. Thanks to Housekeeping team on 50th floor. They took quick action and responded promptly to our request.

This time I stayed at Wentai Garden Hotel, and the experience was great! The room was warm and elegant, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I had a good night's sleep. The hotel staff was warm and thoughtful, the check-in was quick, and they also recommended surrounding attractions. The breakfast was rich and varied, with both Chinese and Western styles. Next time I come here, I will definitely choose this place again!

RredpandaaThis was my first time staying at the Marco Polo Hotel. The location is superb, right next to the Hankou Riverfront.
We had initially booked a city view room for two nights, but the view wasn't ideal. A staff member then showed us a river view room, and we upgraded to a partial river view room, which had a fantastic view.
The room was well-appointed and very quiet. The toiletries were excellent, and the first mini-bar was complimentary, offering a good selection of beverages.
Upon check-out, we left our luggage with the concierge. The staff were very attentive and even gave us a small gift, which was a thoughtful touch. Thank you!
Executive Lounge Experience: The service at the executive lounge was excellent, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Enjoying the river view and light show from the lounge was a wonderful experience. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, the glassware designs were nice, and there was a good selection of drinks.
The only issue I encountered was with the executive lounge breakfast service. Unlike other hotel executive lounges where staff proactively take orders from a menu, here I consistently had to ask for the menu myself. Furthermore, the dishes often didn't match their descriptions. For instance, the teriyaki salmon was listed with hash browns but was served without them. The waffles also had inconsistencies, sometimes missing fresh banana slices or syrup. The portion sizes were also inconsistent; one time we received four pieces, and the next time only two. I hope these aspects can be improved.
Another minor inconvenience was with taxis. On several occasions, drivers stopped by the roadside and couldn't reach the hotel lobby, citing the navigation system's endpoint. Unless explicitly instructed to drive further, it was a hit-or-miss whether they would go all the way to the hotel entrance, which was quite inconvenient.
Overall, the experience was quite pleasant, and I would definitely consider staying here again!
XXiaokuaitoumaThis 5-star hotel really lives up to its reputation online. Right next to the check-in counter, they offer two kinds of complimentary hot beverages, which is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious and bright, and everything is spotlessly clean. The service was excellent; they really tried their best to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options, including local Wuhan specialties like hot dry noodles and Mian Wo, as well as Japanese sushi and Shaanxi Roujiamo, all of which were delicious. They even had both hot and cold low-fat milk. The mattress in the room was incredibly comfortable. However, there are a few minor details that could be improved. For example, the toilet in the bathroom didn't have a bidet or disposable seat covers, and the room also lacked an eco-friendly hotel tote bag.
EExpatinChinaAmazing room, the pool was nice, easy check in and check out process, the tub was great! Amazing Breakfast, Amazing staff, Amazing experience. Good location to pharmacy, shops and other food eateries. 45-1 hour from Hankou Train station. I had no complaint except the elevator was a bit annoying having to get off then get on another. But the stay is 10/10 perfection. I would definitely recommend. I would definitely stay here again for sure!
AAtroWe had an excellent stay at this homestay, which exceeded the quality of most hotels I've stayed in. The room was spotless and well-furnished, with no worn-down furniture, a great pillow selection, and high-quality toiletries like shampoo. This family-owned and managed property offers outstanding service.
The staff's service was exceptional—they set up a WeChat group for communication and assisted us with transfers to and from the railway station. Additionally, they arranged a mini-van with a driver for a full-day tour at a very reasonable price, making our trip hassle-free.
The breakfast was a highlight, made with fresh, organic ingredients and homemade dishes. They have their own tea farm, and the tea tasted delicious.
The homestay is beautifully located up on a mountain above the nearby town. Despite the remote location, the staff provided transfers to and from town since there were no taxis available.
Overall, this homestay provided a delightful and memorable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a relaxing and high-quality stay.

YYangyangWe took our elderly relatives to Yichang for a boat trip on the Three Gorges and chose to stay at the Westin Hotel. Carry at the front desk was incredibly helpful with check-in. We had booked a room without breakfast because reviews mentioned it was newly opened and the breakfast selection wasn't great, but the hotel generously provided a buffet breakfast for two. We were very grateful to Carry! The hospitality of every hotel staff member also left a deep impression on our elderly relatives. We hope to stay at this hotel again next time!
Regarding breakfast, since the original breakfast floor wasn't fully equipped, we had it served in the Executive Lounge on the 51st floor, the hotel's top floor. The stunning river view combined with the abundant breakfast made for a perfect start to the day!
Guest Services Manager Carry provided warm and attentive service. The room was clean and tidy. The hotel is very close to both the East Railway Station and the airport. We hope to stay again!

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is perfect, right next to tourist attractions, making dining and transportation incredibly convenient, saving a ton of time. The service was attentive. From the moment we got off the bus, a concierge was there to help with our luggage. The front desk staff were efficient and welcoming, always smiling. The breakfast was varied, combining Chinese and Western cuisine, with both local specialties and Western pastries. The food was delicious and the ingredients were fresh, making it the perfect start to a wonderful day. Overall, this was an exceptionally good value, and the hotel's attention to detail was evident. I highly recommend it to everyone; you won't be disappointed!
11863618****This hotel is incredibly convenient for catching a flight! The free shuttle bus between Wuhan Tianhe Airport's T2 and T3 terminals starts running at 6:00 AM, which is perfect for early morning flights. You get to sleep in a bit more, which is a huge plus, especially with kids!
The hotel is right opposite Terminal 2, so finding food and drinks isn't an issue. Plus, the hotel's own restaurant has a great selection, including a buffet and à la carte options. Just be aware that choices become more limited after 9:00 PM.
There are plenty of amenities like a swimming pool, table tennis, and billiards, which are great for entertaining the kids.
The night before, I planned to help my child with homework, but there was no desk lamp. The hotel staff were incredibly thoughtful and went out of their way to find one, ensuring my child didn't fall behind. Huge thumbs up to the staff!

NNicoleI took my children to Wuhan for summer vacation. Initially, I was worried about the old look of the hotel, which opened in 2016. But upon checking in at the InterContinental Wuhan, I realized my concerns were unnecessary. Our one-day stay was truly comfortable and relaxing. The hotel is located on the Yangtze River, and rooms with river views offer stunning views from the window, which are especially captivating at night when illuminated. The rooms are spacious and bright, featuring a blend of modern minimalist decor with Chinese elements. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and you can choose a latex pillow, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The front desk was efficient, and the handsome White staff member was warm and courteous, proactively explaining the amenities. Seeing we were traveling with our 12-year-old, they offered a complimentary breakfast for one of our children. The InterContinental room was spacious, with separate wet and dry areas, and the Byredo toiletries were fragrant. The refrigerator contained four complimentary cans of drinks. Dinner was served in the hotel's Chinese restaurant, offering stunning river views. Watching the sunset was truly relaxing.
Breakfast offered a variety of Chinese and Western dishes, including authentic Wuhan specialties like hot dry noodles and tofu skin. The beef noodles and pancakes are must-try! We drove here from Changsha. At night, we were within walking distance of Jiangtan Park and a 20-yuan taxi ride to Yellow Crane Tower. Other core business districts are also easily accessible. Free parking is available at the entrance, making it convenient and fast. The overall service was meticulous and attentive, with quality evident in every detail. The established five-star InterContinental Hotel will not disappoint.
DD10520****Few reviews, first talk about the location of the homestay, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, the homestay is located on the quiet and quiet mountainside, and the sight is the scattered mountains of the forest. Even in the room, through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, you can also enjoy the gentle morning light to the mountains. Soft gauze, Seeing the shy glow gradually faded from the mountains. Let's talk about the service of the homestay. The sincere boss upgraded the room type for us for free, provided snacks such as fruits and peanuts and walnuts. After dinner, prepare the stereo and light a bonfire, so that we can end the day's journey in a happy song. The dining is even more unique, the chicken hot pot, the pork trotter soup pot... the breakfast dumplings taste fragrant, the red date soy milk is both nutritious and delicious, the eggs, sweet potatoes, corn buns... let the peers praise. In short, if you have the opportunity to go to Shennongjia again, staying in Muyun Bay must be my best choice. Haha, I hope the boss will keep the price close to the people.

It is worth coming again next time.
