The environment is fantastic, the language is friendly, and you can see the windmills and round buildings by the sea from the window. The facilities are comprehensive, with plenty of restaurants and bars. It's very close to the subway station, and nearby 7-Elevens and supermarkets are also very convenient. It's also close to the city center, making it easy to get around.
PS: Definitely choose a high-floor room! The view is truly expansive; you can watch the sunrise in the morning, the sunset in the evening, and the incredibly large moon at night.
Fantastic location, easy to reach from the highway as well as with public transport. Good sized room with comfy bed and good and clean facilities. The burgers and milkshakes are amazing and the 50's US style adds a lot of character.
I would like to share some feedback regarding my recent stay. Overall, I had a pleasant experience, and many aspects of the hotel were excellent—especially the cleansing products provided, which were of very good quality and much appreciated.
However, as someone with sensitive skin, I am particularly affected by dust mites. During my stay, I noticed that the carpet in the room may not have been thoroughly vacuumed, which caused significant skin irritation and discomfort.
I kindly suggest that the hotel could improve its vacuuming and cleaning standards, especially for carpets, to ensure a more comfortable environment for guests with allergies or sensitive skin.
Functional for a Layover, But Bare-Bones in
If you just need a place to crash during a long layover, this hotel serves its purpose, but don't expect any ”extras.” It is a functional choice for proximity to the airport, and that is about where the perks end.
The Downsides:
Missing Amenities: The room is strictly ”no-frills.” There is no kettle, no coffee-making facilities, and absolutely no toiletries provided.
Basic Bathroom: The bathroom setup is incredibly sparse. There wasn't even a floor mat, which made the space feel unfinished and led to a slippery floor after showering.
Mediocre Breakfast: The morning spread was underwhelming. It’s edible, but certainly not a highlight of the stay.
The Verdict:
It’s a fine spot if you are arriving late and leaving early, but the lack of basic comforts makes it hard to recommend for anything longer than a quick night's sleep.
Easy check in and check out. Booked because of the proximity to the airport. Only downside is there isn’t a shuttle service available for the airport and the train station is pretty far. Overall the short stay was good and easy to get to the airport by cab.
The room was excellent, and the front desk staff were great. The room was very clean, and the security was also very strict. The location is good too, very close to the subway station, making it convenient to get to the city center by subway.
Stayed at Copenhagen Island Hotel during my trip to Copenhagen. The hotel has a great waterfront location and the rooms are modern and comfortable. It’s also conveniently located near the train station and shopping area, making it easy to get around the city.
However, one downside during my stay was that the tap water in the bathroom appeared yellowish. Because of this, I didn’t feel comfortable using the bathtub at all. Aside from that, the stay was generally fine and the location is definitely a plus.
The hotel is not bad, the location is relatively biased, there is a Chinese supermarket downstairs but it is too late, I have to go and have no time to see. The room is simple and the whole season is similar to our economy.
Fantastic good service from arrival to departure, staff were sweet and friendly a beautiful relaxed atmosphere

SSabinaRahimIt was small, but for this price in Copenhagen was affordable. Clean, quiet unless you open the windows. You can self check in and out. Inside we had bathroom private. WiFi was working good. And to the center of the city you can go with bus n”17” till the metro.

AAnonymous UserThe location is absolutely fantastic! It's just a few minutes' walk to Tivoli Gardens and City Hall Square, and the Central Station is also very close, making it super convenient for both sightseeing and getting around. The bedding in the room was incredibly comfortable; the mattress and pillows were just right, not too soft and not too firm, so I slept really well and didn't feel tired at all. The front desk service was also very friendly. Overall, my business trip stay was excellent, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Copenhagen. I highly recommend it to friends visiting too!
KKS-GermanyWakeup Copenhagen - Carsten Niebuhrs Gade: After a nightmare stay at City Hotel Nebo (Istedgade 6, 1650 København V, Denmark) where I couldn't sleep and my skin was itching due to dirty conditions including hair in the sink and no hygiene products available, Wakeup Copenhagen was my salvation. Immaculate cleanliness, modern minimalist room on 8th floor with marvelous city view, comfortable bed where I finally slept after 48 hours of exhaustion, clean shower with good water pressure, good quality breakfast, very good reception lobby, perfect location near Dybbølsbro Station (500m) and easy access to Copenhagen Bus Terminal for my FlixBus, excellent value at €62-70. Rating: 9/10. Compared to City Hotel Nebo (-3/10), this was heaven. The contrast was shocking - from dirty and uncomfortable to clean, modern, and peaceful. This hotel saved my trip and gave me the rest I needed to enjoy my last day in Copenhagen. Absolutely recommended for solo travelers who value cleanliness! Thank you Trip.com and Wakeup Copenhagen! 🙏
AAMANDA JANIECEClean, unique indoor camping style, comfy bed with its own charging socket and light. Fresh bed linen, large lockers, plenty of toilets and showers with hot water. Large common/dining area, 24/7 reception next to bar area which also sells food, coffee etc. Lovely outdoor roof terrace. Near bus, Metro & train transport to all areas of the city and beyond - good links to Central Station and airport. My only criticism is that it doesn't have a kitchen for guests to cook their own food in - however, they do allow you to buy food from the plentiful nearby street food vendors & supermarkets and they do have power sockets in the common area if you have a travel kettle or similar. Would recommend this hostel and stay there again myself. Copenhagen is a beautiful city, very walkable, clean & interesting.
GGuest UserThe room was a bit small. It's about a 10-minute walk from the central station, but closer to the tram stop, which is more convenient for getting to attractions like Nyhavn. Breakfast for 59 DKK was a bit basic, just bread, yogurt, and coffee. Check-in is at 3 PM. Luggage storage is 25 DKK for 3 hours, and 40 DKK for 6 hours. Access to the kitchen, which has a fridge, kettle, microwave, and utensils, costs 25 DKK for your entire stay. When I checked in, the lock on my locker was broken, but the front desk staff quickly came up and fixed it after I reported it. I was very satisfied with their efficiency and problem-solving, but I hope the staff will check if the facilities are in working order after guests check out. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, as well as a Netto supermarket if you want to buy groceries to cook.
AapshanyyyVery very basic living space. Not much room for 2 huge luggages. Check in strictly at 3pm with no free luggage storage, which should be a basic for accommodation.
Location is not bad with direct bus to/fro the airport.
Room came with 1 pillow and we had to ask for another one which staff said could be found below the bed. Err, but without casing. 2 of us slept with 1 small square pillow for 2 nights. Room have no kettle, nothing.
WWei ZiThis is a no-frills hotel that is good for a short stay. The location is fantastic as it is within walking distance to the main station for metros and trains.
The room was very big and we could lay out both of our large suitcases with ease. The neighbourhood is lively but the room was insulated from the hustle and bustle from the streets and we had a good sleep during our stay.
PPat PhadungIt was a very nice hotel, it's very new too, only open a monthly when I was visited. it's very near the town, can walk to the shopping area in 20-30 minutes and also 5 minutes to Tivoli. Very near the train station. It's very good location.
The staffs r so friendly and very helpful if I asked anything. I am sure to come back here if I have chance to visit Copenhagen again.
