This hotel boasts an excellent location, right in front and to the left of Kanazawa Station's East Exit. The hotel name is also clearly visible, making it very convenient for transportation. The design is sleek and modern, and the rooms are comfortable and just the right size. The only minor inconvenience was adjusting the water temperature for the shower, as you have to manually mix hot and cold water to get your desired temperature.

Facilities: Very new and satisfactory. Cleanliness: Excellent. Service: Attentive, and the station shuttle was very efficient. We loved the nearby Omicho Market so much that we visited it three days in a row. Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Garden were also within walking distance. The only challenge was the scorching heat, but a light rain on the third day finally brought some much-needed coolness. Overall, the experience was very comfortable, and dining and entertainment options nearby were incredibly convenient. While the 'Little Kyoto' charm didn't particularly impress me, I still prefer Noto's unique character! 😄😄

It's still far from Kanazawa Station. Although there are shuttle buses, you can't figure out where to get on the bus when you first arrive, so you have to take a taxi, which costs 1100-1200 yen, which is not expensive. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but well maintained. It's very quiet, and someone plays the piano at night. Most of the guests staying are local tourists and Westerners. What I'm not satisfied with is that the water volume in the shower room is too small. I can only take a bath in the public bathhouse for two nights. The breakfast is pure Japanese style, but it's not bad. It's not far from Kanazawa Park and Kenrokuen Garden, which can be reached within half an hour on foot. The art museum is also in the same direction, which can be reached within 45 minutes on foot.

Facilities: For Japan, a 34 sqm room is excellent – spacious and comfortable. The only downside is that the buildings are very close together, so you can clearly see into the neighboring units. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Environment: Right downstairs is Kanazawa Station, two large shopping malls, and various convenience stores. Service: This is where I have to complain! It states no room service from 9 PM to 7 AM, but even at 9 AM, no one answered when I called for room service. Also, they refused to help me book Myoryuji Temple every time I asked.

Upon arrival, the sofa bed was already set up, making the room feel very spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots, pans, an induction cooktop, coffee machine, kettle, range hood, dishwasher, dish soap, and dishcloths – everything you could need. The toilet was separate from the washroom and shower. The shower had great water pressure. I didn't notice any skincare amenities provided in the room, but pajamas, toothbrushes, and razors were available for guests to pick up in the lobby. The lobby featured a spacious lounge and reading area, along with a drink vending machine. Downstairs and a right turn led directly to a food mall. Across a small street, to the left were a hair salon and an excellent seafood restaurant, while to the right was Hyakubangai shopping street. The front desk staff, who I believe was from Southeast Asia, could communicate well in English and had a pleasant demeanor. On a side note, here are some Kanazawa sightseeing recommendations. My child's top pick was Myoryuji Temple. It was reportedly built by the local lord as a covert defense against the central government, featuring many ingenious (though perhaps not very sturdy) hidden mechanisms. Many temples in that area were supposedly established for similar strategic purposes. My personal favorite was Nagamachi, near the Buke Yashiki (Samurai District). It's an area concentrated with former samurai residences – imagine a beautiful Japanese version of a historic mansion district like the Yuyuan Road or Huashan Hospital area in Shanghai. Scattered nearby are art shops, small museums detailing local history, and craft galleries. It’s quite fascinating to explore and learn about Kanazawa's past. There's also a small alley, possibly only open in the evenings, with yakitori izakayas called 'Hashi-something' (Bridge-something)? Higashi Chaya District, on the other hand, felt a bit like a 'tourist street' – the kind you find in many cities, whether genuinely old or a recreation – with somewhat homogenous merchandise. Still, it's very picturesque for photos. The Asano River itself was just like any small river in a Japanese provincial town, with scenery not quite comparable to the impressive urban riverfronts back home in China.

The suite is very satisfactory. It is very cozy for five people to stay in. You can ask the store for mineral water after eating, which is very refreshing. The room environment is very satisfactory. The microwave and oven can solve breakfast. The clothes washing machine is also very convenient, with drying. It is very convenient to go to Kenrokuen, eat nearby, and go shopping. I will choose to stay next time.

The hotel is old and the room is clean but not well cleaned especially the corners of the room. The room is old and dull and the toilet smells bad. The balcony is covered with bamboo screen which make hard to see the outside. We can see the balcony is not well cleaned and the rooftop of the building is not well cleaned, too. If they clean the balcony and rooftop it will make a big difference. The fence at the balcony is worn out if they repainted it,it will be very beautiful seeing from the inside. I dont care if the building is old but they should keep it well cleaned and more presentable and im sure people will come again. The food is good and the bathing facilities is also good but its too hot no air at all, i didnt stay long because i cant breath i wish they open the window for fresh air to come. the atmosphere from the window the dried mold of the rooftop and the worn out of the balcony fence should be fix.The place is very quiet and you can really relax. The main entrance and ground floor is renovated and its nice and modern. The service is good too but the clerks are not lively they should be more cheerful. If the room is not dull and the balcony and rooftop is clean i want to stay again but sorry i wont stay here again. Thank you for your service and Goodluck.

Excellent value for money, and just a 2-minute walk to the station. The room was a bit small, but that's pretty standard for hotels in Japan. It's perfect for business travelers, but if you're on a leisure trip, you might struggle a bit with luggage space.

This was a wonderful hostel to stay at, and really made me enjoy my stay in Kanazawa. It's right in the middle, beyween the garden, the samurai district and the chaya district, so it was perfect for getting around, and very close to the train station. The people working here are super sweet and they even have some plum wine in the evenings for guests. The staff mainly stays in their sister hostel, however the hostel itself is very secure and the door is always locked. It's always nice for a quick rest as well between wandering, and there's a delicious ramen restaurant a minute walk away.

Hotel is in a great location, across from Omicho market, above a department store, nearby a bus stop and less than 15min by foot to the train station. The room was adequate, a compact bathroom, simply had all necessities. I like the different pillow types, you can use the soft one, the firm one, or both! The towel was hand towel size but I think it’s efficient in a way, just perfect for the rack designed for it. I was comparing it to the bath mat and that was when I found a hair that didn’t belong to me. The view out was nice, as was the lounge at the same floor as the front desk. It had free drinks like coffee, juice in the evening period.

GGuest UserLook no further, Mori no Sumika Resort and Spa is absolutely wonderful! The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the property to include the hot springs baths is excellent - the food offerings for breakfast and dinner changes each day, the chef serving the freshest seafood, meats, vegetables. It’s a beautiful place that you’ll never want to leave and for sure come back to sooner than later. Arigato gozaimasu
