This hotel is right in the center of Vang Vieng, so it's super close to the night market, main streets, and the river. The ground floor pool offers views of the mountains and hot air balloons, which is a nice touch. Vang Vieng itself is quite small. The room was pretty standard, and it served its purpose for an overnight stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 nights' stay in Consiana! Kudos to the hotel staff who provided excellent service! They helped me with the laundry service and booking of train tickets too.
Located off the main street away from.the noise, the access to Consiana is via the lobby of Central Hotel. Lots of good food options nearby. What I enjoyed most during my stay was the delicious breakfast with porridge, noodles , fried rice and fresh fruits. Breakfast is served on the rooftop (8th floor).
U can see the hot air ballooning and para motors soaring over the limestone mountains. I woke up early one morninv to see the hot air balloons taking off right in the field opposite!
Highly recommended to stay in this hotel for the views, breakfast and service! There is a swimming pool too, which i didn't have time to use. There are simply too much outdoor activities to enjoy in Vang Vieng!

The facilities and location are great; you can even watch the hot air balloons rise from your room, and it's very close to the main street. However, the service needs improvement. I booked an airport pickup two days in advance, but the front desk completely forgot to arrange it, leaving me waiting at the station for 40 minutes. Also, when I went for the breakfast buffet at 8 AM, the food had already been picked clean by a tour group. It was quite awkward. The hotel knows there are tour groups, so why don't they prepare more food?
Positives:
1. Reception was good and responsive
2. The rooms were quiet as in pairs, so no issues with noise from others.
3. The breakfast was good and worthwhile for the price.
Negatives:
1. On the edge of town. Difficult in the dark to walk home
2. The outlook is nice, but the drain at the back has a lot of rubbish in it
3. Had issues with water leaking in bathroom and also power connections not working
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Exceptional Stay at Sunrise Mountain View
I had the absolute best stay at Sunrise Mountain View in Vang Vieng. From the moment we arrived, the receptionists made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind, always helpful, and genuinely tried to create conversation with us. It didn’t feel transactional at all ,they were just wholesome and warm people.
The entire team was amazing, including security and the cleaners. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and felt safe throughout our stay.
Breakfast was good and satisfying, with enough variety to start the day properly before activities.
What really stood out was how helpful they were with everything. They helped us book our tours around Vang Vieng, arranged our train tickets to Luang Prabang, and even called a tuk-tuk for us whenever we needed one. It made our trip completely stress-free.
I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vang Vieng. Thank you for making our trip so special!

The hotel is on the main street, so traffic until late night. Even if I had asked a quiet room (I know it is not guaranteed) I was given a room over the main street and the funny thing is that the window door was not closing so all the noise was entering, together with smells (pollution and smoke from different fires). Apart from this, room was clean and comfortable. Smell from the bathroom where, in the shower, you only have the tall and fix shower head meaning you cannot just wash your feet if in need, every time you have to take a shower. Unfortunately staff was not so helpful (anyway polite). Pool always in the shade.

The room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is beautiful with excellent customer service. They even prepared Muslim-friendly breakfast for us — the chef kindly cooked porridge especially for us. We could easily book tours to Nam Xay Viewpoint and Blue Lagoon from the reception. The location is great too — near Elephant Crossing Hotel to watch the hot air balloons and close to Viengtara Vang Vieng Resort.
The hotel is located in the center of vangvieng City, 300 meters away from vangvieg Night Market Pedestrian Street and 900 meters away from the famous JANG CAVE( chang Cave). The hotel has 2 restaurants, 1 rooftop bar, and each room has a large balcony where guests can enjoy the karst landscape. They can also enjoy Laotian beer, Laotian iced coffee, hot air balloons, and paragliders drifting by from the balcony
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lisha Riverside Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The location is stunning—nestled peacefully along the river, with breathtaking views that added a special charm to each morning.
Whether you’re looking for relaxation or a base to explore the area, Lisha Riverside Hotel delivers exceptional value and genuine hospitality. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be returning!
This hotel was a bit of a mixed bag for us. Here is what worked and what didn't.
Pros:
Views: The property is stunning. It's wonderful to wake up and have the spectacular view that this hotel offers. The rice paddies are beautiful, surrounded by the karst landscapes.
Breakfast: Server artfully and tasted very good. The coffee is great. That said, there is little choice and you can't ask for any extras (you will be charged).
Location: Across from the main town, but we enjoyed it and everything is easily accessible. We walked, but they offer bicycles as well.
Cons:
Rooms: We booked a standard room which isn't on the rice fields. We knew this and didn't expect the view from our room. However, at the price point, we expected comfort and good sleep. The rooms are built over a swamp and mosquitoes get in through the cracks in the wooden floors. They had plug ins and provide mosquito spray to remedy this. However, the swamp is also home to many insects and frogs that make an incredible amount of noise at night. On top of this, there is a road right in front, so you get car noise too.
Long story short, we asked to change to a quieter room or check out after our first night. The first offer was to pay $40 more to upgrade to a villa, but eventually they moved us there for free, which we appreciated. The villas are certainly quieter though still quite rustic.
Service: Due to the above incident, while the service staff is lovely, the management appears to be just ok.
Price/quality: Considering the priced in Laos, everything inside the hotel costs a lot but it's not a 5 star property, so things don't really match up.
Ultimately, we had a nice experience once we were in the villa and were able to sleep. I'd recommend staying here for one night in the villa for the views or coming for a drink. But id not stay longer or choose the standard room.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe room was spacious and had a balcony, very clean and tidy. There's a small pool downstairs, and the overall environment is lovely. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets from the rooftop terrace. The front desk service was warm and attentive, though I needed a translation app to communicate – it would be even better if they had staff who spoke Chinese. Overall, it's a good hotel.

GGuest UserGood location, near everything, nice swimming pool. Friendly staff and tasty coffee. Only the breakfast is a let down as it is very small and narrow choice. All together it is worth it.

GGuest UserFeel like having fresh mango for breakfast? The fruit selection at the buffet is epic. They have fresh coffee and mango smoothies. The rooms are beautiful, amazing view, bottled water, toothbrushes, even face towels. Quiet air conditioning and there's a ceiling fan too. The beds are comfortable - we got a triple room with 3 single beds- and the power points are right next to the beds. Overall, our favourite hotel for the trip. Oh and the pool is great. We spent an afternoon drinking beer on the beach chairs and swimming.
*We got our own tuktuk back to the train station for 30k each instead of the 50k offered by the hotel.
