Clean and tidy. The room had high ceilings which was very comfortable. The price was even cheaper than some motels. For this price, staying in a hotel of this caliber is truly amazing value for money. The only downside was that parking was quite inconvenient; if you want to park, you need to book early, but even then, you'll likely not get a spot as there are only about a dozen available.
Unfortunately, my stay was not very comfortable. The soundproofing is very poor, and there is a nightclub nearby that plays very loud music late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. For those who drive, can park on the roadside across the street for free after 6pm. In addition, the shower water pressure was very low, which was disappointing.

Absolutely loved it! The room was huge, brand new, and super comfortable, with a fantastic view. It's a shame we only stayed one night; we could even see the Milky Way from the large terrace at night. Despite being close to the airport, there were no planes taking off or landing at night, so it didn't disturb our sleep at all. The hotel restaurant was also delicious, especially the massive lamb shoulder.
The lakeside cottage is very beautiful and the room is clean, but it has a retro feel and everything is old. There is also a small drawback that you can't cook. But the restaurant next to it is delicious and worth a visit! The key point is that the room has a bathtub
The hotel was great however for the size and experience they are aiming for and the reputation of being operated by the Hilton, the internet speed is subpar and was below my expectations. A speed test returned speeds of 0.03mbps which is not enough for web browsing. I would have hoped for better internet connection given the price and premium segment this hotel competes in.
Nice sized rooms , no air-conditioning but there was a fan supplied and windows could be easily open. Super friendly staff all very welcoming. and plenty of hot and cold options for the buffet breakfast
Facilities: The selected suite had excellent facilities, including cooking amenities, a dishwasher, and a washer-dryer combo.
Service: I stayed for two nights, and it's clearly a very popular place. On the first night, I was assigned room 301, which, as shown in the picture, had a corner window directly facing the parking lot. The next morning, I spoke with the front desk attendant about changing rooms. Since they were fully booked, I was eventually moved to room 703, which faced a small pond. They even left a thoughtful card and some chocolates.
Overall, the hotel environment was good. It's a short walk to the Lone Tree and an acceptable distance from the town center.
Everything was great, except for one pregnant Filipino receptionist who was incredibly snobby. It was the first time I've ever experienced such an air of superiority in New Zealand. The two Chinese receptionists I met later that evening were lovely and definitely made up for my unpleasant encounter. My English isn't great, so I have no idea where her sense of superiority came from. The hotel facilities, cleanliness, and environment were all excellent. I'm writing this review just before heading back home. In short, if you see a Filipino receptionist, just avoid them and don't give them a chance. I've now had a second unfriendly experience with a Filipino receptionist in Kaikoura, but all the local New Zealanders have been wonderful. I specifically chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport so I could easily get to my glidng trip; it's within walking distance and has some free ground parking available.
The location is a bit remote, the room is more spacious, the hotel decoration is old, the kitchen equipment is less, there is a microwave oven and a bread machine, sleep at night, the room door is glass, the shading is not good, the lights in the yard are particularly bright, which will affect sleep.
