InterContinental Properties in Shenzhen

Having stayed at quite a few family-friendly hotels, I can honestly say that the InterContinental Overseas Chinese Town's pool is definitely in my top 3. No exaggeration, it's perfect for kids of all ages, from 1 to 18, and the sandy beach pool is fantastic. Another thing I was really happy about was the breakfast, which featured freshly squeezed juices and pineapple buns. You could mix and match fruits and vegetables for your juice, and it was incredibly fresh and delicious. Very few hotels offer that kind of quality. Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to our butler, Jason. He called me the day before check-in, and I missed it. The next day, he proactively added me on WeChat, upgraded our room, and even extended our check-out time. He truly brought some comfort to our mood, which had been affected by the typhoon.

The room itself was easily a 90 out of 100, though both pillows were quite soft, making them a little uncomfortable. It would be perfect if one of them offered more support. From the moment I arrived until I checked out, I was looked after by a dedicated guest service agent. Her genuine smile, sincere care, and attentive service truly stood out. I sincerely appreciate having such wonderful staff – a big thumbs up! Her name was Linda. During my stay, there was an unfortunate incident: I slipped in the changing room by the swimming pool, scraping and bleeding. Thankfully, the staff quickly came to my aid and handled everything. My wound still hasn't healed completely, and I sincerely hope this doesn't happen to any future guests. Your hotel really needs to address the slippery floor in that changing room. Please ensure the anti-slip mats cover the entire area without any gaps, so guests don't slip on the uncovered smooth tiles. More 'wet floor' warning signs should also be prominently displayed.

I usually love staying at InterContinental hotels, but this trip was truly the best in terms of both my personal experience and the environment! I was fortunate to participate in a training session thanks to Teacher Daqi's team, and that's how I ended up staying at this hotel. The hotel Teacher Daqi chose has been my favorite among all my travels so far. It was supposed to rain those days, but miraculously, the rain stopped, and the weather was beautiful. In the afternoon, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the beach and spent a long time just relaxing. It was breathtakingly beautiful and I'm so grateful. The hotel also offers yacht experiences and other recreational activities, and the food is delicious – I highly recommend it! I rarely write reviews voluntarily, but I'm truly grateful. If I have another chance to visit Shenzhen, I'll definitely stay here again! In fact, I'm very thankful for this hotel. It's clean and comfortable, and I'm very grateful to Teacher Daqi and everyone at the hotel. Thank you 🙏
