Hotels in District of Hutai and Pengpu, Shanghai

Came back to these hotels 2nd time. It’s affordable and very value for money. Amenities are great and have everything I want as a family in each traveller. Does that stand of this hotel is very great that i makes me happy for most details but not spending extras for unnecessary stuffs. Hotel also have self service laundry and dryer. Truly 4-star standard but with 3-star cost only. I will choose here again if I come back. Room photos are same as advertised and not overly beautified. The change/improvement I see compared to 2 years ago are: new robot for delivering food delivery to your room, and modified the shower screen with non-transparent material.

The room was clean. It was Valentine's Day and the room supply was tight. The soundproofing was good and I didn't hear any screams of my heartbeat. It was a little far from the elevated road and the environment was quiet. But there were no restaurants nearby and it was inconvenient to eat and drink.

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Daning for 3 consecutive nights this time, and the overall experience was very good, fully meeting Four Points by Sheraton's consistent service standards. For the first two nights, I booked a large city-view twin room. The room was spacious, providing ample space for luggage and temporary rest. By the third day, my original room type was sold out. The front desk staff member, LNY, was incredibly thoughtful and proactively helped us switch to a king-sized room on the same floor. This saved us the hassle of changing floors, making it very convenient for moving luggage and personal items. The staff communicated patiently throughout the process, and their attention to service details is truly commendable. The hotel has been open for some time, so the facilities aren't brand new, but they are very well-maintained. The room hygiene was excellent, and the bathroom and bedding were in great condition. Public areas were clean with no signs of age or unpleasant odors. All my daily needs were met satisfactorily. The hotel's location is a significant advantage, being right next to the Daning commercial area, making dining and shopping very convenient. The soundproofing in the room was also effective, ensuring a peaceful rest. The only minor drawback was the buffet breakfast. The overall taste and variety were quite standard, only enough to satisfy basic hunger, lacking any distinctive highlights.

Service: The service attitude was excellent and very considerate, attentive and meticulous. Ordering takeout was convenient. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the subway station, so if you have a lot of luggage, you might want to reconsider. Cleanliness: To be fair, this is the worst Atour I've ever stayed at in terms of hygiene. Firstly, there were short hairs and body hair on the bedding. The kettle bar area had hair fragments and dust. The shower head in the bathroom was very old and had many scuff marks. (Although the hotel changed the sheets and duvet and cleaned the room again, attitude is one thing, cleanliness is another.) On the second day, I found unknown stains on the pillow, which was disgusting. The lighting is too dim, all spotlights. If you need to do your makeup, you should probably choose somewhere else.

My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try. I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card. Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue. As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff.

The front desk service was excellent. Auntie Nuan, the floor attendant, was very diligent and always had a warm smile. She changed the sheets quickly and neatly. Seeing her when I returned from outside always made me feel at ease! She's a genuinely kind person, and it's clear she loves and values her job. Thumbs up for her! I hope to see her again on my next visit!

Our overall stay exceeded expectations. The lobby ambiance was elegant, the room was brightly lit, and the bathroom was spotless with a proper wet/dry separation. The staff were very responsive, the toiletries were of good quality, and it was quiet at night. The hotel's location is convenient for getting around, making it suitable for both vacations and short stays. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.

🏠: Environment: It's a short walk from Metro Line 7. There's the Grand Gateway shopping mall nearby, and a flower and bird market, which is perfect for a lazy person like me to take a stroll around. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, which is very convenient. 🛏️: The bedroom space exceeded my expectations. For this price in Jing'an District during the summer vacation, I'm really satisfied with such a large room. It even has a small refrigerator, a desk, and a sofa, perfect for me to work and for my child to do homework. Very thoughtful and considerate. 🛁: The smart home system is very convenient. The smart speaker can control the air conditioner and all the lights. The bedding is clean, the mattress is just the right firmness, and the toiletries are excellent. I even bought some toiletries to take home before leaving. ❤️ Service: The receptionist was exceptionally helpful. She upgraded my room to a three-piece suite with a view of Shanghai for free 😁. On my arrival night, she provided a welcome fruit platter and a late-night bowl of noodles, which I enjoyed – it was delicious 👍🏻. Upon check-out, she kindly gave me two bottles of iced mineral water. She also offered me an extended check-out time and luggage storage service for my child. Overall, she was incredibly attentive and considerate. I will definitely choose Meihua Lizhi Jing'an Darongcheng Branch again for my next business trip.

Hygiene: The hotel is generally clean and tidy. The bathroom is equipped with an electric toilet that flushes automatically and has a heated seat, which is a thoughtful touch. Facilities: The room facilities are relatively new, and the layout is compact yet refined. The bathroom has excellent water pressure, providing a great experience. The TV is large with convenient screen casting functionality. There's a master control switch by the bed to turn off all lights with one touch, and the curtains are electrically operated, which is very convenient. Service: My clothes got wet in the rain, and the staff patiently guided me on how to use the laundry and drying facilities. I'm especially grateful for their help. Environment: The room faces the street, so there was occasional traffic noise in the morning, but with the windows closed, the soundproofing was good, and it didn't affect my sleep. I had a very comfortable rest. From service to facilities, this is a highly recommended hotel!

Staying in Shanghai this time, the biggest surprise was this Hanting Premium Hotel! I originally thought hotels in Shanghai would be expensive and just so-so, but I never expected to find such a hassle-free place for under 300 RMB. The room was spotlessly clean, with no strange odors at all, making for a very comfortable stay. The best part was the soundproofing; I couldn't hear any noise from outside at night and had a peaceful sleep. For business travelers, clean, quiet, and good value for money is all you need. Highly recommended!
