Amazing stay at Fairfield by Marriott Shanghai Jing’an. The hotel was spotless from the moment we arrived, with very modern, comfortable and well-designed rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the room had a premium feel throughout. Everything was cleaned to a very high standard every day and the facilities were always well maintained.
The staff were one of the best parts of the experience — very professional, welcoming and always happy to help with anything needed. Service was fast, friendly and consistent throughout the stay, which made everything feel smooth and stress-free.
The location is also excellent, very convenient for getting around Shanghai with easy access to shops, restaurants and major attractions. Perfect balance between comfort, convenience and value.
Overall, a fantastic hotel with great rooms, amazing service, excellent cleanliness and a very good atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Shanghai.
Let me point out a few issues. Firstly, the carpet wasn't clean. Secondly, the faucet at the sink was problematic; water splashed everywhere. Thirdly, it's the modern age, why are they still using bathtubs? They're inconvenient, impractical, and unsafe. Fourthly, the charged services are completely out of line with the hotel's brand. This is by far the worst Sheraton I've ever stayed at. The most frustrating thing was when I was out on business and couldn't make it back to the hotel by 2:00 PM. I called at 1:20 PM to see if I could get a late check-out. The female front desk agent just coldly said no, without asking why or trying to communicate, just a quick 'sorry' to brush me off. I will never stay here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
The room was clean and well-equipped, featuring a fridge, microwave, and washing machine. There's also an induction cooktop in the first-floor kitchen, which is great for guests who want to prepare their own meals. The closet was huge, perfect for storing clothes. The surrounding area has all the amenities you could ask for, from fresh produce markets and department stores to local specialty snacks. It would be even more perfect if the kitchen came with some pots and spatulas. Overall, a very pleasant stay!
The hotel environment is elegant and tidy, and the public areas are well-maintained, creating a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for a great stay. The overall environment is quiet and clean, with a neat and grand layout, and details everywhere show quality, making for a very comfortable living experience. The environment is clean and elegant, with excellent lighting and ventilation, and a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, making for an excellent stay.
Highly recommend this Atour hotel! From check-in to check-out, it was a perfectly comfortable experience 💯. ① Location: Situated on Hutai Road in Jing'an District, right next to Grand Mall, with plenty of surrounding shopping and dining options, making travel very convenient. ② Ambiance: Features a new Chinese minimalist style. The lobby is elegant, and the guest rooms are well-arranged with a separate wet and dry bathroom, a smart toilet, and a super comfortable rainfall showerhead. ③ Service: The front desk is quick to respond and proactively offers tea. Housekeeping is meticulous, and robot delivery for meals is efficient. They even thoughtfully provide earplugs and disinfectant wipes. ④ Dining: Breakfast is abundant, and the late-night congee service is a heartwarming touch. Excellent value for money! A five-star experience, definitely worth coming back for again and again!
I'd generally recommend this hotel. Orange Hotels are usually quite reliable. The room isn't huge, but it has everything you need. I personally really like the tatami-style rooms; they're very clean. Plus, it's right next to Metro Line 8, which is super convenient!
I highly recommend getting breakfast included. It's really delicious and has a great variety. I especially recommend the scallion oil noodles – add your own braised egg, fried sauce, vinegar, and chili oil for an extra kick!
Cons:
On my first day, I was shocked to be given a room that had clearly been used. They eventually switched me to a new room, but I'm guessing it was a staff oversight?
Pros:
I've stayed here multiple times, and I honestly think the value for money is really good. The location is also very convenient because there's a subway station nearby.
The hotel has a pool, and it's not crowded, which is very convenient. The facilities are quite new, and the hygiene is acceptable. The environment is also satisfactory. It's suitable for business travel. The room has a bathtub, but they don't provide disposable bath liners. I tried to extend my check-out time a bit, and while the front desk wasn't as accommodating as some other hotels, overall it was okay. It's a bit dry this season, and I'm feeling a bit under the weather. The soundproofing is so-so, but I was still pretty happy with my stay. Overall, a good review.
My child had an exam nearby, so I wanted to find a close place to rest. I'd seen this hotel being renovated and thought I'd give it a try.
I arrived earlier than my check-in time and asked if there was an available room I could get into sooner. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes until a room was ready, and then they gave me the key card.
Upon entering, it was clear the room had just been cleaned – the floor was still wet, a sign it had just been mopped. It had a smart toilet, and I didn't use the shower. The hand soap was verbena-scented, and there were two bottles of Nongfu Spring bottled water. Being on the side facing the residential area, it was relatively quiet. The air conditioning was powerful. The TV was a Skyworth smart TV, which allowed for on-demand content and screen mirroring. There's a small booth seating area with cushions and a small coffee table in the room, which is great for eating and means you're not just confined to the bed. Everything I've mentioned so far was satisfactory, but now for a pretty critical issue.
As shown in image three, this huge bag of trash was left outside my door from 10 AM until 2:30 PM. It was ridiculous. Every time I went in or out, I could smell the garbage. There's actually a partition between rooms a bit further down; if it had been placed even 5 or 10 meters further away, I wouldn't have had to complain. This was particularly disappointing. The trash caused significant air pollution and was a very unpleasant experience. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and properly trains and assesses its service staff.
This hotel stay exceeded my expectations, a definite five-star review! The location is excellent, within walking distance to nearby attractions, Grand Gateway, and Daning Lingshi Park, making sightseeing and dining incredibly convenient without wasting any travel time.
The room was meticulously cleaned; the desk, bathroom, and bedding were spotless, with no dust or strange odors. The space was bright and spacious, and the mattress had just the right firmness, allowing for a good rest after a long day. The Wi-Fi was fast and smooth, and amenities like air conditioning and toiletries were all readily available and well-maintained.
The front desk staff were gentle and patient, making check-in and check-out quick and efficient. They even thoughtfully recommended local travel tips. Housekeeping regularly tidied up, and any requests were promptly addressed. The overall environment was quiet and elegant, offering great privacy, making me feel as safe and comfortable as if I were at home while traveling. It offers exceptional value for money at this price point. I highly recommend it to all travelers and would definitely stay here again!

AAmorndaetCleanliness always perfect, 3 nights with no worry even my room at the end of 6th floor.
Location is good if you travel by bus because it require to take a bus to reach metro but nearby had many local restaurants with 1 local groceries shop and 1 family mart.
4 washing machine and 4 dryer that enough to clean your cloths and it free with detergent included.
The room details and designs is very nice I love it, I remembered their logo and make me in brand loyalty already.
I feel no worry when staying at hanting hotel.
Some room at the end of hallway will have small stair step that weired for me.
I did not try breakfast but I look into it, it seem ok.

__Star277145****The location is great and very convenient. It's about a ten-minute walk from the subway station, or you can ride an Ofo bike to get there. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, provided excellent service. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai. It's a really good option!
GGuest UserThe bed in the room is very comfortable, the mattress is moderately soft and the pillows are also very soft, which made me feel relaxed as soon as I lay down. The quilts and sheets on the bed are of high quality and soft to the touch. They are warm and comfortable when I sleep at night, allowing me to sleep very sweetly. The room was very clean, the floor was spotless and there was no dust on the furniture. Bedside tables, desks and other furniture are neatly arranged without unnecessary clutter, giving people a neat and orderly feeling. The room is equipped with various facilities, such as air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, safe, etc., with complete functions. The air conditioner has a very good cooling effect and can quickly adjust the indoor temperature; the TV has clear pictures and rich channels, so you can watch some entertainment programs to relax at night; there are also some drinks and snacks in the refrigerator for easy access at any time.
GGuest UserThis hotel is quite peaceful and even has a courtyard. The room was clean and everything else was great. The price was reasonable, offering excellent value for money!
GGuest UserThe hotel room is spacious and bright. The hotel has an elevator. It is very convenient. There are many restaurants downstairs. It is very convenient to eat. It is very convenient to go out to the road. You can get a taxi. It is very convenient.
GGuest UserThe price-performance ratio of the house is relatively good, the price is cheap, the price is cheap, the price is cheap, I stayed for one night and then changed to a more expensive hotel, the boss is more enthusiastic, everything is good.
MM519169****This stay was absolutely amazing! The hotel's location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, making getting around incredibly convenient. The room was beautifully decorated and cozy, with soft, skin-friendly bedding. The cleanliness was impeccable; even the corners were spotless. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming; the front desk patiently answered all our questions and even kindly recommended local restaurants. Room service was very prompt. The breakfast had a wide variety, with both Chinese and Western options that suited our tastes perfectly. Overall, it offers incredible value for money, suitable for both business trips and tourism. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!
