Koh Hai Fantasy Resort & Spa Reviews

Went during low season so it may be a different experience. I was the only guest at the resort. Beautiful views and hermit crabs everywhere! Room was clean and simple. Left early because there was nothing to do and was not offered any activities such as island hopping etc. Breakfast not great and there are no other options on the island. Also they got my breakfast order wrong which was funny because I was the only guest at the resort how can you get one order wrong?

In my opinion, the best accommodation option on Koh Hai. Excellent restaurant, they cook delicious steaks. We checked in at 12 o'clock in a house on top of a hill with a stunning view from the balcony. The staff speaks excellent English, very friendly. Hornbills fly right onto the territory (near the massage), they are not afraid.

The hotel is good overall, but the basic room is not good enough, facing the wall, you need to book a higher-end room facing the sea, the breakfast is good, and the service staff are also smiling

Location at the top. The bartender is bitter, we would say we are not going to pay for the drink or it is the customer's head. No air conditioning in the rooms. When we arrived a sanitary towel was lying on the stairs. Mosquitoes in the rooms

I got room 988 (hillside), everything would be fine, but the air conditioner buzzes, squeaks, there are a lot of mosquitoes on the terrace, because there is a lot of vegetation, a couple of times I met a rat on the terrace, there is a smell of sewage outside the door, but you can’t feel it in the room.

Very good hotel, clean, beautiful! There are many hornbills on the territory, we saw a monitor lizard.

The place is very suitable for relaxing and chilling. You can play in the water in front of the beach. But the male employee at the restaurant was not very good. And the rowing boat has a limited time to play until 5 o'clock, even though the weather had just cooled down at that time. But anyway, I want to go again one more time 😀

Excellent for location, the most beautiful beach, the room is functional, comfortable bed, bathroom ok, buffet breakfast is good, the manager at the reception is very kind and willing to help, friendly staff and the restaurant is also excellent, they produce the vegetables, I had Deluxe Room - Hill Side (double bed) n. 984 is high up, there is a climb to do but the view, especially in the morning at dawn, repays the effort. The first time we vacationed in this hotel was almost 10 years ago. Then we really liked everything, and I left an enthusiastic review on a well-known international resource. Therefore, this year, on a trip to the islands of Trang province, we decided to visit Ngai, the then beloved Fantasy Resort & Spa. Unfortunately, I didn’t find any reviews about standard rooms, otherwise I would never have booked it. I have a lot of travel experience with staying in hotels of different categories in different countries and continents, but I could not even imagine that there could be rooms of such low quality. There are no complaints about the cleaning, the room was cleaned daily and efficiently. The same applies to the size of the room. For Naya, two adults, the area was quite enough. Complaints about furnishing the room with old, worn-out furniture. Repairs with protruding wires and construction dirt that was not removed during repairs. The drain in the shower was not working well. But what surprised us most was the air conditioner, which roared loudly like a beast, and this roar did not contribute to normal sleep. The air conditioning unit is installed on a small terrace, next to the chairs. This is simply a “miracle” of engineering. In general, if you want to spoil your holiday, choose a standard room.

Some hotel waiters are not friendly to Chinese people, but are more friendly to European and American tourists.

The mountain view room with balcony was quite large, but for the next two nights I was moved to a room below that was smaller by the sea. There is a fee to use the hotel's canoe, but the hotel on the other side is free. If it is just for fun in the sea, it is not cost-effective.
