Kangding Xinduqiao Town Zeren Bengzeng Photography Paradise Homestay

I highly recommend the Zeren Bengzeng Mountain Top Homestay! My husband said you'd need a 4x4 and the guts to drive it to get up there. The navigation only takes you to the bottom of the mountain, so when you see the dirt road, just drive up boldly. Haha. Once you reach the summit, you'll be amazed! Yala and Gagong mountains immediately greet your eyes, with an endless array of snow-capped peaks. With such a view, we willingly skipped other passes – isn't it more enjoyable to just relax and take it all in? The room facilities are complete, and they provide diffused oxygen, so even at an altitude of 3800m, I slept well without any altitude sickness. The next morning at breakfast, a wild 'Si Bu Xiang' (麋鹿, Pere David's deer) appeared outside the restaurant. Its clear eyes were captivating!

Definitely 5 stars! Exceeded my expectations! I'll recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Xinduqiao! 1. **Excellent location:** You can see this hotel from anywhere in Xinduqiao; it's on top of a mountain in the town center, as you can see in my pictures below. From the hotel, you can admire both Mount Gongga and Mount Yala, and also get a panoramic view of Xinduqiao. I even witnessed the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain bathed in sunlight' that day, which was a real treat! 2. **Easy access by car:** I drove up to the hotel. Before booking, I saw many reviews mentioning difficulties driving up, but I didn't experience any issues at all. Perhaps it was because it was a clear, sunny day; without wind or rain, driving up the mountain was perfectly fine. Parking on the mountain is convenient and free. 3. **Top-notch facilities:** The hotel boasts excellent amenities including diffused oxygen supply, underfloor heating, smart toilets, and custom-made bedding. The pillows and duvets are incredibly comfortable. 4. **Outstanding service:** Special praise to the lovely lady on duty on November 10th – she was incredibly enthusiastic and answered all my questions. 5. **Delicious breakfast:** The breakfast is a set menu, offering a variety of options like porridge, eggs, buns, steamed bread, corn, sweet potatoes, and more. The hotel truly puts a lot of thought into it.

The room's location is truly exceptional and unique. You're practically living on the viewing platform itself! Open the curtains and you're greeted with a direct view of the snow-capped mountains. The underfloor heating in the room is fantastic, and the oxygen machine works great. The owner is also very chatty and friendly. Highly recommended; I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

When I went to get the room, I found out the owner was from Guangdong, which made me feel right at home. Our car couldn't make it up the last stretch to the hotel (you'd need an off-road 4x4), so the owner sent a car to pick us and our luggage up. The hotel has an amazing view; if the weather's good, you can even see Mount Gongga. Every room has heating, oxygen supply, a humidifier, a telescope, and a 180-degree view, so you can watch the sunrise right from your bed. The dining and tea experience in the restaurant was top-notch. That evening, we were incredibly lucky to see a rainbow. The owner gave us very detailed and useful advice for our onward journey. The road from the base of the mountain to the hotel was built by the owner using his own money.

The views are great, but getting there can be a bit tricky. It's best to opt for the hotel's driver service or the shuttle bus. It's a good spot to view Mount Gongga.

The room was spacious and clean, with fresh air all around and a great view outside. The staff, especially the ladies, were very enthusiastic and helped us with our luggage up and down. However, the mountain road is a bit rugged, and if you can't make it up the last slope, you can park a bit further down in the parking lot.
