Karen (Li?) has been exceptionally helpful during our 2 visits.  It was our first time in Hong Kong, we don't know Cantonese, we had many questions, and Karen's recommendations for activities (food, shopping) were very good. We love the hotel and we strongly recommend to others. We will surely come again.

convenient location and excellent and very polite staff attitude. Especially the last one makes a big big difference. Be aware, you CAN'T open the windows in the room. Also, the internet connection is limited to 4 devices, meaning you need to ask at the reception to obtain an extra code to keep connected. A cumbersome policy. The size of the room is really just just right. Very very tight for 2 people but well structured. On the negative side, noise insulation, practically, doesn't exist. If people in rooms around you take a shower, you can hear the running water. Imagine if they do that in the middle of the night. You simply wake up waiting for them to finish shower. Air-conditioning is also quite loud.

A Cosy and Simple Stay with Great Amenities I was pleasantly surprised by its cosy and simple ambiance. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was easy to find, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to several places, which made exploring the area a breeze. However, there was one minor downside to my stay. My room was located right next to the lift, and the noise from the lift could be a bit disruptive. Additionally, the hotel has only two lifts, and they tend to be a tad slow, which can be inconvenient during peak times. Overall, despite the lift issue, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, convenience, and excellent shuttle service.

Great place for your Hong Kong visit. Don’t miss to book a table at Cruise restaurant, spectacular harbor views, food and service quality. Would definitely stay in this hotel again, one improvement item though: the smoke detectors in the room are lousy , flashing like a disco light all night, please change them asap, then we will be happy to stay at your beautiful hotel again…

My family and I had spent one night at Regent HK and we had a wonderful time there. The hotel was new and has a the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The harbour view was just stunning, and we enjoyed our time celebrating my son’s bday at this hotel. The front desk staff especially Ray Cheung, were fantastic. He was particularly friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. We also went to the outdoor heated pool and had an amazing time. The staff and service were just great. We’ll definitely go again very soon.

Empire Hotel Causeway Bay - Hong Kong This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I knew already a while ago that Hong Kong hotels are small in sizes due to how expensive real estate here is, but given how small the space they were able to make it very comfortable for me. I am traveling solo and yet it just feels like I am in my apartment in Vancouver, BC. The location of this hotel is also amazing as I am one of those leisure travelers who avoid fancy areas as I want to experience Hong Kong just like the locals where nearby markets, family-owned restaurants and shopping areas are. Cleanliness and service is top-notch too! I couldn’t say a thing about how awesome it is. Soundproofing is amazing too. Also, their airconditioning unit is pretty cold and great for the hot Hong Kong weather. I will surely be back and look to book this hotel again. Consider it a compliment as I don’t usually go back to the same hotel unless it was exceptional of an experience!

EEdiGThe hotel positions itself as a 4-star establishment, but it falls short of that mark. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Location: The location is excellent, if you don't mind a steep uphill walk. However, the entire island is built on different levels, which isn't a negative but rather a positive – a daily workout! There's a bus stop right by the hotel, making it easy to reach the metro instead of walking up and down, straining your leg muscles. Next door is a botanical and zoological garden where you can take a stroll. By the way, entry is free. A 10-minute walk down the hill leads to the cable car ”tram” stop for a trip to Victoria Peak. Check-in: Check-in was fast, but a USD 300 deposit is required, which isn't mentioned on either the trip.com website or the hotel's website. If you need an adapter for your electronic devices, ask for one right away – the receptionist won't offer it. Room: The room is relatively clean, though I did find some hair in the kitchen and on the bedding. For Hong Kong, the room is spacious, but there's nowhere to store a suitcase. You can set the temperature on the air conditioner, but it doesn't work. It only blows cold air, making the room humid. Kitchen: The kitchen is minimally equipped, but it's sufficient. However, upon check-in, they warn you that the stove can only be used for reheating food, not cooking, as the fire alarm system is very sensitive and might activate the siren due to hot steam. You must turn on the exhaust fan to full power and the air conditioner to avoid triggering the alarm. Why bother having a kitchen at all? Bathroom: The same situation as with the kitchen – you need to close the door and turn on the air conditioner at full power while showering to avoid the fire alarm being triggered by steam from the bathroom. The shower hose started leaking on the second day of my stay. It was replaced with a new one, which also leaked. When the technician replaced the hose, did he check if the equipment was working properly? I doubt it. Breakfast: Breakfast is only served from a menu, which is quite limited. It's delicious, but not diverse. Is this the service you'd expect from a 4-star hotel? The breakfast organization is chaotic – staff running around and clanging dishes. Two slow coffee machines and one toaster keep guests waiting in line. By the way, there are plastic mugs for tea and coffee. The only fruit options are two types of apples – red and green. Service: The service is polite, but I'd say it's ”on demand.” You need to ask for shampoo, shower gel, and dishwashing liquid to be refilled. The housekeeping, for some reason, doesn't notice the need to replenish hygiene products in the bathroom and kitchen. Environmentalism: As in all of Hong Kong, they no longer provide water in plastic bottles. That's good, but come up with an alternative so guests don't have to go to the store for water. In my opinion, this environmental concern is simply an opportunity to reduce service costs while maintaining high accommodation prices. Speaking of breakfast again, the jam and butter are provided in small plastic containers, just like on airplanes. Is this really about caring for the environment? Conclusion: Overall, it's a good choice if you're not bothered by the minor service inconsistencies and if you don't have high expectations for a 4-star hotel. If you're visiting Hong Kong, I'd recommend Two MacDonell Road.

SShe Roams AloneWe had a great stay! The lady who checked us in was friendly and polite. The room was comfortable and had enough space for three people. They provided an adapter in the room and if you need more the hotel sells them in the vending machine in the lobby. Breakfast was decent with a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. There’s a beach behind the hotel which is easy to access. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and the hotel also offers a free shuttle to the train station (didn’t get to use it but it’s good to know that they offer it). FFengjingwenThis is a one night booking for a friend but we had actually stayed at this hotel for two months. Plus - as this is an older hotel rooms are much larger than typical hotels in HK, close to MTR (subway) stn and bus stations with buses that will take you to every corner of HK, even the Dingding Tram. Minus - next door to a large funeral home complex, quiet streets particularly after dark, kind of creepy! Not many restaurants or even supermarkets within walking distances, even less after dark! Staffs, a mixture of very pleasent young ladies at the front desk with some senior employees who may be more suited working at the funeral home next door! Particularly the few at the extended stay guest counter! never around when one needs to see them. For those lite sleepers the AC is noisy, can also hear showers from other rooms all the time and many guests just leave their garbage outside their doors instead of walking a few more steps to throw them into the garbage bins at the service room. Overall, short stays ok but we probably will go somewhere else for extended stays.

FFelipe KondoService is great, check-in is smooth (either passport copy or 500HKD deposit), no lift available therefore be careful before booking if you have much luggage. Despite these small setbacks, service is super attentive and with great English, the room is super clean and offers a cozy and quiet retreat right in the middle of Wanchai. Much recommended for either long-stays or short-crash. Beware, like every HK room, it is small, but cleanliness and coziness are worth it. PS: The table is too small for working so use a café in case a laptop is required.

JJocampoLocation: Situated between Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, it's close to public transport, shopping, and dining options. Staff and Service: Generally praised for being friendly and accommodating, with some guests noting early check-ins and attentive service. Price: Viewed as affordable for Hong Kong, making it a good choice for budget travelers. Room Conditions: Guests report inconsistent cleanliness, with issues such as stains, poorly managed housekeeping, and outdated decor in some rooms. Facilities: Limited amenities (e.g., no toiletries provided in some cases), and issues like slow-draining showers have been noted. Overall, the hotel offers value for its price and location, but its condition and services can vary. Ideal for those prioritizing cost over luxury.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a bit out of the way from main tourist area- Nathan Road. It is about 15 minutes from the nearest tube station. The east and south of hotel is surrounded by some small metal retails commerce and car repair shops. I didn't like the metal and repair smells. The west of the hotel is one block away from a shopping plaza and also a lovely park. My taxi driver didn't know the hotel location until I gave him the address. The hotel entry is not easily spotted. The hotel reception is on the third floor. It looks bigger in the picture than in reality. I booked the 2 nights stay as I thought it is in a new reclaimed land area. I thought the hotel is located in a residential area. Considering the hotel is only 2 years new, I would expect the lifts are in best condition. I would appreciate the staff at the front of the desk with some smile. The lady in charge of the breakfast was lovely. The rooms are small, but designed to maximize the space. They are clean and the shower is great.

GGuest UserThe room was right under some sort of fan/mechanism that had a really awful noise, so I couldn’t sleep well. As a bonus, there was a man next room with an added noise layer of terrible snoring. After the engineer came to confirm that the fan noise cannot be fixed, the receptionist offered a room change. The new room was less noisy. In general, the hotel is definitely not a bargain for the services it offers, however, it is acceptable for a change of city view.
