I paid extra to have a room with nice view, but when I arrived I saw streaks of dirt on the window that spoiled the whole view. I called the concierge to ask for a room change or to clean the windows, but the concierge said that this dirt is outside of the window and all windows have it so they can’t help me with room change or clean it. Also when I went to the sauna, I was told that the sauna was under renovation and would not work for several days. Next time I will stay at another hotel.

This hotel is part of the Empire chain, situated just beside another hotel from the same chain. It feels like a typical 4-5 star hotel, which is super. The bed came with soft and hard pillows, the bed was super comfortable, the toilet was big and clean. Honestly, no qualms about the room and physical aspects of the hotel.
The stay also came with a free afternoon tea which was a buffet, which is really nice, and also lounge access on the 30th floor (both of which are in the sister hotel next door).
What I found kind of annoying though was that despite the free amenities above, the hotel does not give any bottled water nor shaving kits or any amenities in the name of going green. I mean sure, I’m an advocate for going green, but surely everyone still needs to drink water, no? Maybe provide a reusable bottle and a water dispenser somewhere, that might be better than not providing any water at all. To their credit though, they do have a vending machine on the ground floor that serves drinks and amenities at a price.

Got it! Here’s the refined review:

My recent stay at Empire Hotel in Wan Chai was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided warm and attentive service, always available to help with questions or local recommendations.
The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, with quality bedding that made for a restful sleep. I appreciated the thoughtful details, which made the stay even more pleasant, and the views from the higher floors were a nice bonus, giving a lovely glimpse into Wan Chai's vibrant atmosphere.
The location of Empire Hotel is ideal—it’s close to public transportation and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Even though I didn’t opt for the breakfast buffet, there are plenty of great cafes and eateries nearby, so finding a meal was easy and enjoyable.
Overall, Empire Hotel in Wan Chai is a great choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service in Hong Kong. Highly recommended!

A Cosy and Simple Stay with Great Amenities
I was pleasantly surprised by its cosy and simple ambiance. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, providing all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was easy to find, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to several places, which made exploring the area a breeze.
However, there was one minor downside to my stay. My room was located right next to the lift, and the noise from the lift could be a bit disruptive. Additionally, the hotel has only two lifts, and they tend to be a tad slow, which can be inconvenient during peak times.
Overall, despite the lift issue, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, convenience, and excellent shuttle service.

Great place for your Hong Kong visit. Don’t miss to book a table at Cruise restaurant, spectacular harbor views, food and service quality. Would definitely stay in this hotel again, one improvement item though: the smoke detectors in the room are lousy , flashing like a disco light all night, please change them asap, then we will be happy to stay at your beautiful hotel again…

Great location and very clean and nice. I waited a while for check in due to a customer complaining about a dirty towel and being very rude (not a good start) BUT the front desk staff apologised for the wait and upgraded my room. It was lovely and I’ll be looking to stay again.

My family and I had spent one night at Regent HK and we had a wonderful time there. The hotel was new and has a the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The harbour view was just stunning, and we enjoyed our time celebrating my son’s bday at this hotel. The front desk staff especially Ray Cheung, were fantastic. He was particularly friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. We also went to the outdoor heated pool and had an amazing time. The staff and service were just great. We’ll definitely go again very soon.

AAlicia Chi YingMy partner and I chose W Hong Kong to have a night of staycation to celebrate our anniversary and we have an absolute amazing stay in there. Here’s a big thankyou to Rene and Immanuel and their team that create this loving experience during our stay starting from the moment I arrived where Rene ask if there’s any occasion for this stay and once she acknowledged that it was me and my partners anniversary celebration she kindly upgraded us from the originally room that I booked which was the wonderful King room to the spectacular king room with a lovely view also offered us white wine for our celebration as well as the 3pm late check out. W Hong Kong occasion team definitely made our anniversary special and also memorable, and will definitely come back for another stay in the future🤍

AacacacIt was a very comfortable and great stay at Marriott in HongKong!
Room: spacious and clean! Bed size is quite big enough to have a comfortable sleep
Amenities: I felt less amenities than other Marriot hotel I stayed in other countries. They provide few items but much less and even they didn’t have body cream or bath salt which was little bit disappointed but we had the necessities.
Breakfast: very good quality and variety of food. Fully enjoyed it!
Dinner: Food in Marriot is always fantastic and this time too we enjoyed the very good quality and scrumptious food they prepared! Highly recommended to try in room service.
Service: The door & bell boys were very welcoming and polite to greet us when we entered the hotel and they even greeted us with our language which was very friendly and lovely.
We will definitely come back!

LLouisWe just stayed for the night to prepare for an early show the next morning, so there's not much to share.
The room is clean, but the beds are a bit ”HK sized” (small). Staff are friendly and helpful.
There are different restaurants around the block, Asian, HK, street snacks, Chinese, bars and convenient stores so you won't get hungry easily.

MMillschOnce we realized that there are the elevator stairs that take you up the hill, getting to the hotel was quite easy and convenient. They also have a complementary shuttle bus, however the staff at the reception informed us on the third day of our stay. The room is small but clean, pool area has a nice view. MMauro P.Best location on the island, very near to metro and breakfast locations if you do not desire to consume the breakfast in-house. The cocktail bar on the 29th floor is great quality. The pool is also fancy enough for unwind during the day. I was impressed by the design and the spacious room. I'll certainly keep it as a reference point for my trips to HK. The view from the room was not great but in this part of the city the buildings are all next to each other so i consider that very good. Thanks to all the staff. Ciao and see you hopefully soon.!

MMr John POn our return flight to Australia we had a 9 hour lay over in Hong Kong. The regal was reasonably priced, considering it was on 150m walk from inside the airport and easy to find. (Go the the left side exit in the Arrivals Hall and follow the signs).
Check-in may take between 10 to 15minutes, depending on how busy they are .
The room was nice and cold, quiet, clean and we had a free up-grade.
Well worth the money when dirty and tired from traveling.

PPhamz and ReggieWe had a great experience during our stay in Dorsett Wanchai. We enjoyed the very comfy bed and best view on the 25th floor, which was given as a complimentary gift since one of us is celebrating her birthday, plus a bottle of wine as a gift. The only thing is that we are four pax and two pax need to check out early so they cannot take breakfast, so we just requested a breakfast box for them to bring since it is very expensive in Hong Kong and a breakfast box would be good, especially for those who need to go early in the morning. The receptionist said that their breakfast is only for
dine-in and there is no option for takeout or breakfast boxes. I suggest that since you are a
four point five-star hotel, you should have an option for breakfast boxes since all guests are paying for breakfast, anyway its fine and just a suggestion.
But all the staff are very accommodating, and it was a memorable experience for us.
Thank you🥰

SSt. VladaI was in the room 2002 with a cool partial view on the harbour.
Original interior design.
Great water pressure.
There were slippers, bathrobes, hair conditioner and body lotion.
Also, there was a UV-C air disinfector.
I loved the lobby, as well. You can print and scan docs, charge your gadgets or just chill.
The stuff were incredibly lovely and friendly. One guy was seemingly Chinese but had naturally ginger/light hair😳 He was soooooo cool.
I guess, the only thing I didn't quite like was the hotel's location. You have to go through narrow streets. And lots of climbing and, too. Not really convenient if you walk from the MTR with a heavy suitcase😥.
