The hotel is quite far from the city center, about a 20-30 minute drive, making it inconvenient to get into town. However, it's right next to Erhai Lake, so if the weather is good, you can enjoy beautiful views from your room or from the observation deck. The hotel facilities are outdated, especially the bathrooms. On the positive side, the housekeeping and front desk staff are great. Every day when we returned to the room, there was fresh fruit on the coffee table, and the room was kept very clean. The hotel breakfast starts at 6:30 AM, but even 30 minutes after opening, not all the dishes or yogurt were available, which was disappointing. These items should have been ready before opening time. On our last day, the beverage machine was broken, and no one came to fix it for about 30 minutes until we left the restaurant. Only two ladies from the catering department tinkered with it for a bit before giving up. For dining, there are two restaurants within the hotel, or you can order takeout in advance.
