Hotels in Guomao Area, Beijing

I stayed at this hotel for four consecutive days, and my entire experience was incredibly comfortable, with almost nothing to fault. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and approachable. Whether I was asking for directions, requesting extra toiletries, or even making a small, last-minute request to adjust the room's lighting, they always responded patiently and were happy to help, never once being dismissive or evasive. The housekeepers who cleaned my room daily were also wonderfully thoughtful and meticulous. Each time they tidied up, not only did they ensure everything was spotless, but they also subtly paid attention to how I arranged my belongings, discreetly organizing any items scattered on the desk. Over the four days, I was completely satisfied with every aspect of the hotel's service.

Good points: 1. Room The suite offers great value for money. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Being on a higher floor, it was also quiet with a good view. 2. Transportation Turn right out of the hotel's main entrance and walk for about 3-4 minutes to JianGuoMen Exit B of Metro Lines 1 and 8. It's convenient for getting anywhere by subway. Beijing traffic is terrible, so the subway is a lifesaver. 3. Dining I recommend Zigongyuan, located about 300 meters behind the hotel. It's a Halal restaurant serving Beijing cuisine and dim sum for around 70 RMB per person. I ate there twice, and it was good. 4. Service The front desk proactively upgraded me to a suite. The cleaning staff were also very diligent and accommodating. In the evening, they even brought complimentary white fungus and pear soup, which was quite tasty. Areas for improvement: 1. The hotel facilities are a bit old and lack a modern touch. 2. For breakfast, there were no fermented bean curd, salted eggs, or pickled vegetables that southerners typically enjoy with porridge. While there seemed to be many types of bread, none of them tasted as good as those from an ordinary bakery, definitely not up to 5-star hotel standards. The variety of items changed very little each day. The only thing I personally found good was the fried eggs; they were delicious. Breakfast is on the B1 floor with no outside view, and the lighting was a bit dim, creating a somewhat oppressive feeling. 3. The executive lounge was very disappointing. Don't expect anything from it; they only have coffee that you wouldn't want to drink a second cup of, completely lacking in coffee aroma. The minibar also only had 2 cans of Coke, 1 can of Sprite, and a small bottle of German wheat beer. These were only replenished once every three days. I would still consider staying here on my next trip to Beijing, as the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The staff members were all warm and polite. The room was clean and tidy, offering a high level of comfort, and any requests were promptly addressed. The location is excellent, making travel convenient. Overall, the experience was great; I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. Highly recommended.

We chose Beijing for our high school graduation trip, and stayed at this hotel for five nights out of our six-day journey. Since it was before the peak summer season, the price was quite reasonable, and the overall experience was very smooth! The hotel's hygiene and cleanliness were excellent. I didn't experience any skin discomfort during our five-night stay (though this can vary for different people). The robot delivery for takeout was prompt and convenient; no need to go downstairs. The hotel breakfast offered a good variety of both Chinese and Western options. It wasn't just generic pre-made food; the dishes were fresh. We stayed in a twin room. The room had good natural light, and the window size was appropriate. Some rooms seemed to face office buildings, while others faced the road, but overall it was quiet. The air conditioning made a slight noise, but it didn't significantly affect our sleep. The laundry room on the second floor was well-equipped with washing, drying, and steam ironing facilities. You could do it yourself or leave your laundry card for staff to assist. Also, we requested room cleaning every day after we left. Coming back in the evening to a tidy room was a pleasant feeling, and they never moved our luggage around. Issues were resolved promptly. One evening, our key card wouldn't open the door, and someone came upstairs to fix it very quickly. Additionally, opposite the front desk on the first floor, there's a coffee machine, ice dispenser, small fridge, and lemon water, all with disposable cups provided – very convenient. There are many shopping malls near the hotel. Across the street is a 24-hour Lawson convenience store. A bit further is a mall called 'Saite +' (赛特+), which isn't huge but has everything you need, making it quite practical for daily life. If you don't want to go too far but want to eat at a restaurant, you can check the food establishments on the map in advance. The subway is about 600 meters away, I think? There's a shared bike parking spot right downstairs, so you can cycle if you don't want to walk. Plus, the subway is Line 1, which makes it easy to get anywhere. There's also a Mixue Bingcheng (蜜雪冰城) nearby~ For taxis, the pick-up point is directly at the hotel entrance, so it's easy to find.

It just so happened to be my ID card birthday on the day of check-in, but I didn't think much of it. After checking in, I went out for some food. When I returned late at night, my daughter immediately noticed something different as soon as she entered the room – the hotel had sent a birthday cake, balloons, and beer! I was really surprised; I didn't expect the hotel to be so thoughtful. I really want to thank the staff member who delivered the cake that day, and thank the New China World Hotel! It turned out the next day was my ***** birthday, so we enjoyed this delicious treat after midnight. Thanks again! 🙏

The room was initially over 500, but dropped to just over 300 closer to the date. The power outlet cover was loose, and the connection was bad, so they gave me an extension cord. The rain shower in the bathroom was broken, and there was a huge noise in the room. The floor was also sticky. The laundry room was very basic, mixed with storage for the sterilization room. The hotel lobby also had small items piled up haphazardly.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. The subway is easily accessible, and major attractions like Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the National Museum are just three stops away. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. As an established star-rated hotel, the service is impeccable and very thoughtful; they even aired out the room to remove smoke odor before our arrival. The cleanliness was also top-notch, and the shower pressure was great. The breakfast spread was very generous; I especially recommend trying the noodles!

The room was clean and tidy, and even had a mini-fridge, which was a thoughtful touch. There's also a Shanxi restaurant downstairs, and the breakfast was quite good. The location is excellent too; it's very convenient to get around by taxi to nearby places.

The environment is beautiful, although the swimming pool is a bit small. But it wasn't crowded, which was nice. The room was also very new, and the kids loved it. The bed was large, a 2.2m bed, and very comfortable to sleep in. It rained at night so we didn't go out and instead had the seafood buffet. We even got to scoop our own seafood, which the kids found fun and unique. For the seafood buffet, my child even said that the chocolate and ice cream cake, which came out last around 8 PM, were the best things they ate. The concierge was very thoughtful, helping to receive a delivery, even unpacking it and bringing it up, and also helping with luggage. Getting a taxi to Wangfujing took only 15 minutes, which was very convenient.
