Hotels in Shunyi Hot Spring Leisure Area, Beijing

Our experience was absolutely authentic and we were very satisfied, giving it a perfect 100% rating! We booked three rooms in total. When one of my friends needed to extend their stay unexpectedly, Manager Huo not only proactively helped us sort out the rooms but the hotel staff also went above and beyond by checking in on and looking after my friend! We are extremely grateful! Staying here felt just like being at home. We'll definitely be back if we get the chance!

I arrived at the hotel at 2 PM, only to be told my room wasn't ready. It took about 20 minutes for them to clean it. Because of the delay, the duty manager that day offered me a complimentary breakfast. I saw a sign for the gym when I entered the elevator, but when I got to the floor, there was only one treadmill and one exercise bike. They shouldn't call that a 'gym'; it's just 'fitness facilities' or 'fitness equipment.' The projector in the room was a bit laggy when trying to cast from my phone, so I didn't bother using it much. If you want to use the built-in software, you need an Aurora TV membership. The breakfast selection was quite good, and the fried rice made in the steamer was delicious.

The environment and service, as always, were great. The hot spring wasn't too crowded on Saturday, and with cherry blossoms blooming all over in spring, it's perfect for seniors and families with kids. There were also weddings and children's birthday parties on the weekend. A new Prague restaurant opened nearby, and both the management and food are worth recommending. However, the breakfast quality at Chunhuiyuan has declined, and I hope they can improve it. The new 'On the Way' within the hotel complex has a nice atmosphere, but the prices for dining within the resort have always been relatively high. They'd be more competitive if they improved their value for money.

The overall environment is clean and tidy, with complete basic facilities. It's quite close to the airport, and the front desk even provides earplugs. There's a gym, but there were too many mosquitoes. The front desk didn't have mosquito repellent, and there was no water or mosquito coils/liquid provided in the gym. The front desk told me I'd have to go to my room to get them. I already made one trip to my room for water, and now another for mosquito coils – I really dislike having to stop my workout halfway through; it's quite inconvenient. Breakfast is available. I tend to eat clean, so I didn't try the stir-fries and can't comment on them. They have coffee, milk, soy milk, porridge, and wontons. For fruit, there's bananas and watermelon, plus fried eggs and boiled eggs. It's a great choice for fitness enthusiasts! As for the gym equipment, there's a squat rack with accessories as shown in the pictures, which is enough for some basic exercises. There are also two treadmills and two exercise bikes. There's a good variety of cardio equipment, which is nice.

comfortable, clean, and exactly what you’d expect for an airport-area business hotel. The room was quiet, the staff, polite. To be improved: check-in process. After a long flight, tired travelers would probably appreciate a faster arrival experience. For example, requesting ID documents in advance could help speed things up. On the positive side, the breakfast was fantastic. Easily one of the highlights of the stay, with a wide selection and good quality food. Coffee -- you rarely expect hotel machine coffe to be this good, especially in Asian countries.

The hotel offers free parking, which is shared with other businesses. Finding a spot can be a bit of a hunt. In the higher-floor rooms, you can hear a strong wind at night; it's partly due to the weather, but also because the windows aren't sealed properly. The noise from the next room was quite disruptive. Other than that, it was okay.

It was freezing outside in winter, but super warm inside – I felt like I could wear a T-shirt, the air conditioning was excellent. The service was generally great. My child threw a beanbag up onto the ceiling, which was about three or four meters high, and the hotel staff even managed to get it down for us. I'm very grateful for that. I deducted 0.5 points for service because the front desk staff seemed clueless; when I asked where to feed the alpacas, they said they didn't know and that it was handled by the hot springs area, implying it wasn't under their management. They mentioned the hot springs and entertainment were outsourced. However, we found the alpacas just a short distance outside the hotel lobby entrance, along with geese, ducks, and chickens. There were three large and two small alpacas, and they were adorable. Do bring them some carrots and greens; they looked quite hungry. For breakfast, go early, before 8 AM, as it's very abundant. If you go later, you'll miss out on the delicious cream cakes. Dinner was a buffet due to New Year's, and the seafood was quite fresh for the hotpot. The hot springs were a bit crowded, but the kids had a good time, mostly hitting each other with ocean balls. There weren't many indoor hot spring pools, making it a bit cramped. The temperatures were all high, but it was very clean. They said there were outdoor pools too, but we didn't go as it was too cold.

The service here is excellent, and the environment is very good. The laundry service is a plus, especially with the dryer that lets you monitor completion time via your phone. They even have a robot deliver items, and the unlimited supply of mineral water is a great touch. Breakfast is quite commendable, and the airport shuttle service was also very good, with patient staff. All the front desk personnel were nice. There's a supermarket and restaurants right next to the hotel, making dining very convenient. They also support room service, and the free sour plum soup and freshly ground coffee are highlights. The only downside is the fluctuating price; I stayed for several nights and paid different rates, even when extending my stay. It feels like booking in advance, and avoiding weekends, makes it much cheaper. Also, the hot water had a peculiar slippery feeling, and I'm not sure why.

I stayed for 3 days and my bedding was never changed. The internet connection was also quite poor. Most importantly, breakfast was always completely packed every single day, making it impossible to get a meal. The service was okay, but the overall experience was very disappointing. The hotel must be doing good business because breakfast was always swarming with people, with very few empty tables and plates almost always empty. The room hygiene was acceptable, though the duvet seemed a bit unclean. On the positive side, the soundproofing was good.

Perfect score! The service was incredibly polite and attentive, the room was quiet and comfortable, and it offered great value for money. Definitely worth coming back to.
