Hotels in Qianmen (Front Gate) and Chongwenmen Commercial Area, Beijing

An absolute 10/10 stay! We genuinely loved The Yard and would happily stay here again. The customer service was top-notch, every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. The hotel itself has so much character. The traditional exterior is absolutely gorgeous, especially when the red lanterns light up at night, while inside our room was surprisingly spacious, cozy and beautifully decorated. We loved having a proper bathtub, the hot water worked perfectly throughout our stay, and housekeeping was excellent. Fresh towels, bottled water and other necessities were replenished daily, which we really appreciated. The location was another highlight! Step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by a lively street filled with shops and so much amazing street food, which we absolutely adored. Comfortable, welcoming, full of character and a wonderful base for exploring Beijing. Thank you to the lovely staff for making our stay so memorable!

The room was great, the Little Yellow Duck room was quite spacious and even had a bathtub. The facilities were good; the hairdryer worked well. We also had an extra bed added. The amenities were both aesthetically pleasing and practical. The service was excellent; they were very responsive to all our requests. While waiting to check in, there were even craft activities for children, and all the staff were very enthusiastic. The courtyard hotel was beautifully converted from an original courtyard house and hutongs, and you could tell a lot of effort went into maintaining it. The cleanliness was satisfactory. The location is excellent, right outside Qianmen, and it's easy to get a taxi.

Qiu Guo's service truly lives up to its name, feeling like a bountiful autumn harvest. I originally booked a king-sized bed, but upon check-in, the front desk saw I had two children and inconveniently upgraded me to a family room for free. After checking in, it was already past 8 PM, and the front desk attendant mentioned that the hotel restaurant offered snacks. My eyes lit up! We had just climbed the Great Wall and explored the Olympic Sports Center with the kids, so we were exhausted and ready to collapse. To our surprise, there was a free dinner with rice porridge, millet porridge, and steamed buns with green onion oil and meat – so comforting and nourishing. My second daughter, who usually dislikes soup, ate a whole bowl of millet porridge and two steamed buns. Back in the room, I unexpectedly discovered I had my period and stained the bedsheet. The showerhead for the kids' bath also wouldn't turn on. Feeling flustered, I immediately contacted the front desk. In less than two minutes, a young woman from the front desk arrived with a fresh bedsheet and a beaming smile, ready to assist. The room decor was cozy and artistic, and the toilet was smart. The complimentary drinks and bottled water were a pleasant surprise. We could also store our luggage for free. When we picked it up, they even gave us two small tote bags filled with toys that the kids loved. I never imagined encountering Qiu Guo would bring such a touching and heartwarming experience.

This hotel is a quiet oasis in the bustling city, with an excellent location. Within a five-minute walk, you can find all the famous eateries. Transportation is also very convenient. The breakfast is rich and thoughtfully prepared, with different varieties every day, plenty of vegetables, and a light taste perfect for families with children. The staff are very responsive and helpful. With elderly and young children, there were many requests, but they always responded promptly and assisted us, which was very reassuring. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I have the chance.

This hotel is conveniently located near Zhushikou Subway Station. As soon as you step out of the alley, you're on Qianmen Street, and Dashilar is also close by. It's super easy to get to major attractions with direct transfers. The room isn't huge, but it's well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. There's a big rooftop terrace that's really handy for drying clothes. The service is very warm and welcoming. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Beijing in the winter.

The location is good, but you either have to order in or take a cab to a location with more food options. The stay is extremely helpful and kind. There are two laundry machines and one dryer so take that into consideration as it can take a while for them to free up. The rooms were as described with only average cleanliness. Overall, we had a comfortable stay with zero problems. The shop next to the entrance charges tourist prices, so beware.

Close to the Temple of Heaven, excellent location. The room was clean, tidy, and refreshing. The hotel front desk service was great, and the lady staff were pretty and enthusiastic! There's a supermarket right downstairs and convenient places to eat.

I can honestly say this trip to Beijing was the most memorable and impactful one I've ever had, especially because the hotel stay was absolutely worth every penny. The location, facilities, and service all exceeded my expectations. The hotel's various amenities and services were incredibly thoughtful; 'clean and tidy' really is just the most basic compliment! I particularly want to mention that I suddenly felt unwell at the hotel and called 120. Experiencing emergency services in the capital was truly professional and efficient. I want to give a special shout-out to Ms. Wang at the front desk. Not only did she proactively accompany me to the hospital, but she also went above and beyond to help with registration and assisting with examinations. Thanks to her prompt assistance, everything turned out fine. During this time, she also helped comfort my children. She's truly a kind young woman and a caring 'big sister.' I want to express my heartfelt thanks once again! The next time I visit Beijing, I will definitely choose Time Walk S Hotel again!

The room is spacious and comfortable, with a duplex design featuring beds on both levels. It's perfect for a family of four in one room, and convenient for looking after elderly family members and children. With two bathrooms, breakfast at the hotel is easy since the elderly and children wake up early, or you can order takeout. The staff provide excellent service. Taxis are readily available, but if you're taking the subway with others, you'll have a bit of a walk as the subway station at Tiananmen East Gate is a little far.

Hotel M on Qianmen Street offers an excellent stay for those visiting Beijing, with its prime location, top-notch service, and impeccable cleanliness. Situated right on Qianmen Street, the hotel boasts an unbeatable location, within walking distance to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient to reach attractions like the Forbidden City and the National Museum of China. The bustling commercial street downstairs offers a wide array of dining options. The front desk staff were very friendly, handling check-in and check-out swiftly, and patiently answering all our questions. Our room was spotless and tidy, impeccably cleaned by housekeeping. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a very restful night's sleep. The smart room features, like easy control of curtains and lighting, were a nice touch, and the bathroom was well-designed with a separate wet and dry area, all facilities in perfect working order. Despite the lively crowds outside, the hotel's soundproofing was excellent, keeping our room wonderfully quiet. The public areas were clean and tastefully decorated, and the self-service laundry room was a practical amenity for travelers. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money, and my stay was very comfortable. I would confidently recommend it for anyone planning a trip to Beijing.
