Hotels in Jinsong and Panjiayuan Area, Beijing

Overall, my experience was pretty mediocre. First, on the day we checked in, one of the two elevators was broken, and we waited about 15 minutes for the other one to arrive before finally giving up and climbing four flights of stairs to our room. Second, when we showered, water flowed out of the bathroom and into the main room. Third, the hotel didn't provide waterproof slippers for showering. Fourth, we stayed in a duplex room with upper and lower levels. Even with the air conditioning set to 16°C and running all day, the upstairs remained very hot, while the downstairs was perfectly comfortable. We had originally booked for two nights but extended for an additional night because our child fell ill. The price for the extra night was over 70 RMB more than what we paid for our original online booking, which also left a bad taste in my mouth. However, the one truly heartwarming moment came from the cleaning lady. She was incredibly kind and, perhaps noticing my child was sick with a fever and I was having a tough time, she brought me a few extra bottles of water. That small gesture really touched me and made me feel a bit of warmth during our trip from Shenzhen to Beijing, so a big thank you to her! Of course, there were some positives, like the water pressure in the shower being excellent!

I randomly picked this hotel after seeing that it had convenient transportation nearby. I stayed for 3 days, and overall, it was just average. The average price of 900 yuan per night is moderate, but the service and guest experience urgently need improvement! Whether it's responding quickly to guest requests or basic polite service, it's truly disappointing. From the front desk onwards, the most polite staff member I encountered was probably the cleaner. On the first day, after arriving, the blue sensor in the middle of the room malfunctioned. I had to wait impatiently for the engineering staff to arrive after calling. Even then, they couldn't fix it and said they'd replace it with a new one, which would take another 20 minutes. Seriously! Guests are already tired when they check-in. I wonder if other guests have reported this issue; is it really that difficult to fix?!

Stayed here for a week, very caring and polite staff. Although they claim to speak English - they don't, had to use an app. Breakfast was well served. Only once forgot to give us new towels. You can easily get to a sub station nearby as well as a few landmarks on foot. Got a few decent restaurants next door. You can also order delivery to the hotel (not only food, taobao for example). Definitely would consider staying here again. Thank you!

First experience ever entering a hotel and not being greeted despite having also said hello. The young man and woman we so non-engaging in that afternoon that it was basically rude, for this american couple. They however performed tbeir job effectively checking us in, but didn't seem happy about it. Dont be fooled into buying breakfast, I dont think it really exists. They say they can bring something to your room? Upon check out the other couple travelling with us warned me they wanted an on the spot review and to take a picture of it. I explained the lack of warmth upon check in and I would give an honest review. They wanted 80 rmb more for a window rooms despite theyre being empty. The hotel is clean and the check out lady was nice and apologies for day prior. But she wanted my booking number with trip.com probably for damage control and probably following boss instruction. I filmed that I didnt owe her any more money and I ended my relationship as hostage over the booking number prior to clear for checkout. Nothing special good experience except gave a few extra waters to all of us and it was clean.

I was transferred from another hotel, and I'm really satisfied. It was a perfect check-in experience from the start. The concierge proactively helped with luggage, and the room was fully equipped with toiletries. The breakfast, a mix of Western and Chinese, was fresh and plentiful. The gym and leisure areas were well-appointed, and the service was attentive and thoughtful. It felt like a refined and immersive vacation experience, definitely my top choice.

The rooms were excellent and a good size. The service was excellent with the reception of both the the hotel and leisure club being very helpful. There was no ice machine and the bar closed at 6pm. However the reception delivered ice to the room which was good, if not as convenient as a machine. The downsides were that the breakfast was only mediocre for a five star hotel although again the service staff were excellent. More choice for Western guests and better temperature would improve the breakfast offering. The other downside was that the hotel cafe/bar and tea shop closed early at 6pm every day and wasn't open on two occasions because of a national holiday. I like to work on my laptop in a cafe or bar in a hotel rather than my room, especially as I was in a twin sharing with my son. For a five star it really isn't acceptable that there is no cafe or bar open in the evening I think. All in all a good stay and 4 or of 5 stars, but could be better with a couple of improvements.

We had a pleasant stay at IU Hotel (Beijing Panjiayuanxi Subway Station Cancer Hospital). The location is convenient, especially for visitors who need easy access to the nearby subway station and Cancer Hospital. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided good value for money. I would especially like to commend the receptionist, Yang, for the excellent service. Yang was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with any questions or requests. Their warm attitude made the stay much more enjoyable and welcoming. There are only two minor issues that could be improved. First, the room was not well insulated from noise, and we could hear conversations and activity from the reception area quite clearly. Second, the faucet near the door had an unpleasant smell whenever it was used. Addressing these issues would make the guest experience even better. Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a convenient and affordable option in Beijing. Thank you, Yang, for the outstanding hospitality.

I specifically chose this Mercure for my trip to Beijing to visit the Panjiayuan Antique Market, and its location is absolutely perfect! It's just a few minutes' walk to the Panjiayuan subway station (Lines 10/14), and a short taxi ride to Guomao, the Temple of Heaven, and Beijing Railway Station. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making it a one-stop shop for all your travel and dining needs. The hotel has a French light luxury style, and the lobby atmosphere is fantastic. The room has excellent natural light, with smart controls for lighting and curtains throughout. The Sealy mattress is just the right firmness, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the water pressure is strong. The cleanliness is impeccable. The buffet breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, with freshly baked croissants that smell amazing, and authentic Old Beijing Zhajiangmian (fried sauce noodles) that truly cater to local tastes. The front desk service is gentle and attentive, check-in is efficient, and any requests are handled quickly. There's also free parking, which is great for those traveling by car. It's quiet despite being in a bustling area, and the soundproofing is excellent. It's suitable for both antique shopping and business trips. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Panjiayuan!

I highly recommend this hotel! The facilities are new, and the decor is a very stylish retro design, with meticulous attention to detail. The bathroom's wet and dry separation is well-designed, and there's plenty of hot water with strong pressure. The staff are gentle and polite, always ready to assist with any request, providing very thoughtful service. There's a washing machine downstairs, and food delivery is handled by robots, which is incredibly convenient. I'll definitely visit again if I get the chance!
