Mogan Hotel Baku

I had a business trip to this beautiful property in Baku. As far as I understood, it is newly rebranded hotel. I was staying in standard room. The room was spacious, but work desk was what I was looking for in order to work on my laptop. I contacted hotel staff and Mr. Ali Aliyev, who was on duty that day, promptly contacted me and offered me to change my room. But my room was enough comfortable for me, so we sorted out my issue by putting a chair and desk into my room. I was happy with the service and hospitality I faced, thanks to Mr. Ali and other hotel staff. Keep it up! Surely will come back again!
Sapphire Hotel

The hotel's location itself is a huge selling point for tourists but the quality of services provided were also excellent. The staff was extremely cooperative, specially Samir, Nicat & Kamil. Whereas the breakfast lady, Aidah, was also the sweetest person I have ever come across, she is extremely passionate about her job, which is reflective in the manner she serves you your meal; always with a bright smile on her face. I would definitely choose Sapphire, if I am to ever visit Baku again.
Wyndham Baku

Not quite what most people would recognise as 5* but an experience all the same. To easy your experience you could consider packing: Ear plugs- not only to reduce the volume of neighbours' shared orgasmic escasty, parties and high spirits in the accommodation area. They're also recommended in the resturant- not only when guests like to engage in passionate domestic discussions across the length of the dining room but the staff regularly like a good debate in the middle of breakfast. Drain cleaner- of the rooms sampled, 75% the ensuite bathrooms offered exotic essence of sweaty boot filled with sump oil sitting on a radiator. Mystic meg- when you check out the bill may appear to be un-connected to your booking terms. A hi-viz jacket. Crossing the road out front in rush hour is akin to zebras crossing the Limpopo - one error and you'll not get a second chance. No need to pack: a smile- most of the customer facing staff are a delight and will always do their best to politely say the right thing- they're a credit to Azerbaijan. The jury is out on a final grading. Would I return? Mmm...
Bilgah Beach Hotel

A beautiful hotel. Beautiful territory, building, rooms are cool. Panoramic windows on the sea and bath at the window were very enjoyable. Very clean, everything in the room is up to the smallest cases. The bed is crazy soft, the pillows are very comfortable. I liked that in the room there was a coffee car. I advise. I will come in the summer to this hotel.
The Ritz-Carlton, Baku
4.6/550 Reviews
Disappointed in all honesty. The room itself was as expected, nice design and very spacious. Housecleaning was below par as there was still rubbish on the floor after I had returned in the evening, 2 nights in a row. Had to wait a few minutes for the shower to get warm. No toothbrushes in the bathroom. Miscommunication between staff about payment which resulted in a very unnecessary late night phone call from the front desk. Further miscommunication about parcel delivery. One day it was brought straight to the room, the next day it was against hotel policy. Asked for help with luggage for check out, never came. Very far from the ritz experience.
Four Seasons Hotel Baku
4.7/553 Reviews
Probably one of our best stays. Got a sea view room with balcony! Huge palatial room with equally huge bathroom with huge bathtub. 4 bottles of water and fresh fruit platter replenished everyday. Overstocked mini bar if you wish to remain in your room. Highlight was the breakfast. Huge spread suitable for every palate. We being eggitarian were getting a different form of egg every day. Knowing that we were Indians, they served us Paratha and yoghurt! We had our fill of local food - Gutab, Pine (Azerbaijani Pizza), Hummus, Bellpeppers, Eggplant, Badambura, Sakarbra (local sweets) Location of Four Seasons is probably the best. Behind is Old City, 10 mins walk gets you to Nizami Street - shopping district with european cafes and restaurants, Sea Side Boulevard just across the road, Dinez Mall, Carpet Museum, Little Venice all in walking distance. Funicular Railway that takes you to Highland Park, Flame towers is also just 5 minutes walk!
