Four Seasons Hotel Baku

Good ok

I’ve just spent a fabulous 4 days in Baku, Azerbaijan which was made all the more special with my stay at the Four Seasons. I’d booked 3 nights with the 3rd night complimentary as they had an offer on. Upon my arrival I was treated to a smooth check in, then shown straight to my room which was fantastic. I’d booked a deluxe old city view which didn’t disappoint. Beautifully furnished, a fabulous marble bathroom with a separate dressing area and a great view of the old city from the balcony. I was on the 8th floor. Throughout my stay I was made to feel most welcome by all the staff & on my birthday I was treated to several complimentary cakes which tasted great but were not great for my waste line. I treated myself to dinner at Zafferano, which is where I’d been eating breakfast. Having stayed at serval Four Season properties I was a little disappointed with their breakfast, on the first morning I had Eggs Benedict which was just OK, the eggs were small and very watery. The following morning I asked for an omelette, this again was just average at best. However, dinner was a completely different affair. As a birthday treat to myself I had their pumpkin soup to start which was delicious, then their seafood risotto! Cooked perfectly and very tasty. Then I went for their Irish beef Sirloin steak which was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. I didn’t need a dessert as I’d had an ever growing cake collection in my room. I spent my days walking round Baku, exploring the old city, visiting museums and clocking up well over 30 miles. I spent my early evening relaxing by their pool which was a little haven of peace on their 7th floor. As my return flight times weren’t great, I was treated to a complimentary late check out, which I was very thankful of. Before I checked out I ordered their Club sandwich from their room in room dining menu via their app. Ordering was easy but yet again the food was only average at best! Having stayed in some fabulous properties all around the world I consider myself a bit of a Club sandwich connoisseur, and sadly this didn’t really make the grade. My overall experience was very positive, and with just a few tweaks this place would be a 10/10! I’d definitely recommend it, I’d definitely recommend Baku and I’d definitely go back. Beautiful city, fantastic property, great service with a super location within the city. You couldn’t really ask for more.

Pastime history: From the moment I arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel Baku, I felt like a guest of royalty. I was greeted with a smile and professional service that cannot be rated higher. My room was absolutely amazing with a stunning view of the Caspian Sea. During the day I was able to enjoy this view, relax on the balcony and watch sunsets that left an impression of a lifetime. View from the room – 10/10. Breakfast – 9/10 (the variety and quality of food was impressive). Indoor pool – 10/10 (modern equipment and pleasant atmosphere). I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire staff of the Four Seasons Hotel Baku for their excellent service, attentiveness and warmth. I would like to express my special gratitude to the concierge, who made my stay even more comfortable and interesting. His recommendations for local attractions and restaurants were gold and his professional approach to organizing my time was second to none. I would also like to request that your hotel contact me so that I can register for the Four Seasons Hotel loyalty system. I'm sure this was not my last visit and I would like to receive additional bonuses and privileges for future visits. Tips for future travelers: Book a sea view room - it's worth every penny. Don't skip the hotel breakfasts, they are truly amazing. Try relaxing in the indoor pool - it's the perfect place to unwind. Explore the hotel's surrounding area, including the waterfront and historical sites. Feel free to contact the staff with any questions or queries - they are always ready to help. Take advantage of your room's balcony for stunning sea and city views. The variety of cocktails in the hotel bar is impressive - try them out. Explore the artificial lake inside the hotel, which creates a unique atmosphere. Visit the spa for unforgettable treatments and massages. After sunset, go for a walk around the promenade - it's a charming place for an evening stroll.

Excellent upmarket hotel. Very friendly staff, nothing too big or small. Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Missed a night so they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite facing the old town / overlooking the flame towers. Lovely room, cleaned twice per day and comfy beds. There’s a lovely bar on site which also had a pianist on the Friday evening; plus a whiskey/ cigar lounge which was pleasant. Drinks in both were great. Also used the room service option. Chocolate fondant was excellent, chicken sandwich average but a decent selection and prices of the mini bar fridge weren’t unreasonable. There is also a spa on site, although didn’t use it prices weren’t advertised and couldn’t find much online (even tried downloading the four seasons app). Did ring them to get prices but can’t recall what they are. The hotel also has an ATM which is really handy as taxis are predominantly cash based if you use the Bolt app to get a driver. You can also rent scooters to get around the city which are a very short walk away from the hotel (and worth it considering the traffic!). Felt very safe here and would definitely return back to the same hotel again.

The best view to Caspian Sea and the best place to enjoy F1 (directly on track!). The best location in city center, walking distance to the old town. The best building , iconic for its architecture and relevance (mentioned in old city tour). The best service, high international luxury standards as per Four Seasons. The best food, local quality with all options for any dietary restrictions. Breakfast service until 11am. The best facilities, to keep fit and relaxed (loved so much the jacuzzi and spa pools).

Beautiful property in the heart of this equally lovely city of Baku in Azerbaijan. The staff was warm & friendly and attentive to our needs. Rooms were comfortable and adequate for the stay. Though we did not eat at any of the restaurants we did go for a drink at their whisky bar called Bentley. There was a live act by a singer and she was quite talented. The lobby was absolutely stunning furnished exquisitely. All in all a wholesome experience as would be expected from this brand. Just one thought, the hotel is now looking dated and needs refurbishment. Regardless, I would stay only at the Four Seasons on my next visit to Baku !

This was my first visit to Baku & I choose Four Seasons going on it's reputation as a brand & the reviews of FS, Baku. Need less to it was a very good decision !! You are walking distance to the best explorable places of Baku. The hotel is top quality, perfectly positioned next to the old city and the hotel gives you very nice & positive vibes the moment you enter. Check in was super fast. Breakfast is wonderful & the service great. Rooms are beautifully designed & very specious. This is the only place to stay in Baku.

Probably one of our best stays. Got a sea view room with balcony! Huge palatial room with equally huge bathroom with huge bathtub. 4 bottles of water and fresh fruit platter replenished everyday. Overstocked mini bar if you wish to remain in your room. Highlight was the breakfast. Huge spread suitable for every palate. We being eggitarian were getting a different form of egg every day. Knowing that we were Indians, they served us Paratha and yoghurt! We had our fill of local food - Gutab, Pine (Azerbaijani Pizza), Hummus, Bellpeppers, Eggplant, Badambura, Sakarbra (local sweets) Location of Four Seasons is probably the best. Behind is Old City, 10 mins walk gets you to Nizami Street - shopping district with european cafes and restaurants, Sea Side Boulevard just across the road, Dinez Mall, Carpet Museum, Little Venice all in walking distance. Funicular Railway that takes you to Highland Park, Flame towers is also just 5 minutes walk!

The price: top dollar. The location: perhaps the best in Baku. The rooms : well appointed, spacious. The view: great but could have been better. The breakfast: vast but predictable with no change [ almost]. The coffee in the coffee shop: outstanding . The service at breakfast: excellent However its the service in the rest of the hotel that seemed less than perfect. I was on a anniversary break, looking for the extra mile from a hotel of the calibre of Four Seasons, but somehow , due to lack of effort or lethargy, they just failed the delight test. No surprises, no delight, Perhaps this is the Four Seasons template but didn't make the cut for me or my family
