Hotel near Jiaoxi Station,Yilan 85.7% of visitors choose this area
GGuest User 2026.02.22
The hotel's location right next to Jiaoxi Train Station is incredibly convenient for travelers arriving by train, as it's just a short walk from the station exit. The surrounding area offers excellent amenities, with plenty of local eateries, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby, making it very easy to find food. The hotel boasts a full range of public facilities, including an open-air hot spring (nude bathing), a spa, a swimming pool, and a gym. Soaking in the hot springs is incredibly relaxing, and the overall leisure facilities are quite good. For those arriving by car, complimentary parking is available, though the parking area is a bit small, so you need to be a little careful when entering and exiting. The room size is average; while not particularly spacious, it comes with all the essential amenities. The TV offers Netflix and YouTube, which is a great convenience for relaxing in the room at night. However, there's room for improvement in terms of environmental cleanliness details; if these could be enhanced, the overall stay experience would be even better. Overall, the accommodation quality is mid-to-high range. The soundproofing is decent but still within an acceptable range. However, the room rate for a Sunday is a bit on the high side, so the value for money isn't exceptionally outstanding. But considering it's a popular domestic travel destination, this is understandable.

We are highly impressed with the hotel. From the moment we arrived at the hotel till the end of our stay, we felt warm hospitality from every staff. We have originally booked a superior twin bed room and when they saw us with our child, they upgraded us to a family suite and they made sure our son got all the amenities such as a child's Yukata and his own toiletries. USome of the perks of staying here is there is happy hour every day with free flow of wines plus you will also enjoy the facilities at their sister hotel Just Sleep next door for eg. Kids zone and their indoor public hot spring. All in all more than 5 ⭐🌟✨✨, my son told me if we ever come back to Taiwan, please stay at this hotel again!

This time, it was a one-night stay with two meals. There were two time slots for both dinner and breakfast, which you had to choose upon check-in. If you're still hungry, there are also vending machines or a 7-Eleven (open until 10 PM).

The public hot spring is nice and the scenery is beautiful. The air is fresh, the room is quite big, the TV is very big, the service of the counter staff is good, and the dinner in the restaurant is average and satisfying. Don't ask for it, it'll be nice

The room was clean and the bathtub was huge, perfect for two people to enjoy the hot springs together. Plus, there were free hot spring fish at the entrance for a foot spa, which was an amazing experience. You could also boil hot spring eggs; it was a 50 NTD discount per room, with extra charges for more, definitely worth trying. The breakfast offered a good variety, but my only minor complaint is that there was no toaster for the baked goods. If there were, it would be even better.

Most beautiful view I’ve ever had from a hotel room. Amazing buffet for breakfast/brunch and dinner. Hotel amenities are 11/10 - hotel provides daily bus ticket, map of the area, pillow choices, bike rental services, pool, public baths, and game area. Hotel is a conveniently a stop on the bus route. Gym is a bit lacking though (only yoga mats, treadmills, weights up to ~25kg, and one lat pulldown machine).

We weren't informed before check-in that the public hot spring bath was undergoing maintenance. To make matters worse, the maintenance schedule posted on-site didn't even match the actual situation, which was a real letdown. The complimentary bicycles were quite old and dilapidated, a slight minus. However, guests could sign up for the mochi pounding activity, and a buffet dinner was also available for an additional charge. These two aspects were quite good and added some positive points back.

The hotel has a parking lot, which is very convenient. It's also close to the lively areas, so food and drinks are easily accessible. Since it was a weekday, they upgraded our room, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was the poor soundproofing. In the middle of the night, there were loud noises coming from the opposite room that lasted for a long time and were very disruptive, making it hard to sleep. In the morning, you could clearly hear the cleaning staff dragging the vacuum cleaner and talking.

I was very satisfied with this hot spring hotel trip. After living in Taiwan for so long, this was my first time experiencing a hot spring with such a rich iron content. The room had a great view, though it was a bit low this time. I think the view would be even better if I could have booked a higher floor. The staff were friendly and the overall facilities were excellent. This stay left me with a wonderful memory.

This hotel is the newest in Yilan's hot spring area and boasts excellent hot spring facilities, including a fish spa, a large communal pool, and special baths. The breakfast is also incredibly rich, with many local Yilan specialties. It was a fantastic stay!

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

GGuest UserI found some small black debris after the water came out of the bathtub in the room. I'm not sure if it was in the pool or in the water. I still saw it after the water ran out and was replayed. The overall visual of the room was very comfortable and clean. Maybe my skin is more sensitive and I still felt a little itchy caused by dust mites, but I still slept well until dawn. It was nice to relax and have a good rest in a natural environment. For meals, we had hotpot in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Both were average. There were not many styles but they were enough. The attitude of the service staff was very good!

LLimpedThe hotel is near the MRT and walking distance to the thermal valley. Easy to walk to the local market to explore the area for food, fruits and local fish and vegetables stalls. The hotel room is big and clean with free tidbits, cold drinks in the fridge. One plus point is able to enjoy hot spring inside the room. Breakfast is simple and limited choices.

GGuest UserThe hotel was nice, and clean. We booked it for it has hot spring tubs inside the rooms. We enjoyed it very much. We also liked the buffet dinner and the buffet breakfast. We had a good one night stay visiting Sun Moon Lake, as it's close to the pier side where the bike trail starts. We only stayed for one night so we didn't get to use their other facilities.

TTungBest resort in Taiwan and worth every penny. Highest level of service - it’s like being at a modern luxury ryokan in Japan except everyone speaks Chinese. Room design is brilliant, and one king room fit my family of 2 adults and 2 toddlers with a California king and a separate tatami area. The room has an epic view from every angle the moment you walk in the door and includes a private outdoor onsen connected to your bathroom. I noticed many private in-room onsens in Japan are diluted down, but this was spring fed. The public onsen was huge, extremely well maintained, and included a large walled zen garden with an adjacent sauna and cold plunge. I was lucky enough to experience this area all to myself with one other guest leaving as I arrived and another guest arriving as I was leaving. In China, this onsen would have comfortably accommodated 100 bathers. The spring water is not high in sulfuric content (doesn’t smell like rotten eggs), and the temperature is relatively mild - ideal for my family. Given the limited availability of the hotel online, I was expecting it to be more crowded. I got the sense that room rates are controlled to optimize guest experience, not profit, while staff are trained to ensure that customers never feel like they are being ripped off or “sold”. It seemed there were more staff than guests on site. I originally booked 2 rooms, and some of my family members couldn’t make the trip. We didn’t need the second room, and the staff were very gracious to refund and cancel the second room on the spot. When I’m back in Taiwan or traveling to a place where Hoshinoya does business, I would not hesitate to book again and make a special journey to stay at one of their destination resorts.

AAllie LoweThought I was upgraded from 36m2 to 28m2 (happiness room to love suite), so it is on higher floor, not G/F. Just note that there are two stairs inside room for love suite (door to room, room to hot spring) so it actually feel smaller than the photos. Original plan was to have my aunt 65+ to stay. Stairs may present some difficulties to them so ask hotel before confirmation of your trip if you have elderly /small children. Pros: can listen to birds singing in the mornings while watching Mountain View. This will be one strong reason for coming back. Also, views from dining room is superb. Appreciated so much for the staff at reception who meticulously take care of my needs to order take-out. She was so kind & I hope more ladies could be in hotel to serve their clients. At this price (lowest HKD46x for basic room type) there is nothing to complain. So I would definitely consider going back in winter times. Cons: plumbing system is old coz it’s uphill. WC can only handle liquid waste. Housekeeping effort will be needed for any solid waste disposal… Noise from housekeeping (& kitchen staff sending breakfast to rooms) can disturb sleep for light sleepers. When they change buffet breakfast to room service, I went to fetch a cup for hot water. A male staff intercepted me & asked abt the cups. To assure him that I won’t take these away, just show the pic below to reception (留下三大跟三小的杯). Hope he understands that female solo travellers are common elsewhere even i looked like locals; & simply bc my travel-mate have to leave earlier than planned.

Rroy0338The environment was clean, facilities complete, and the in-room hot spring bath was absolutely fantastic! This stay was very satisfying! The room was spacious, and the biggest surprise was the private, extra-large balcony with an open view. Sitting outside and enjoying the breeze was very comfortable. The hot spring tub in the room was well-designed, with a strong water flow, making for a truly enjoyable soak. The room also came equipped with a dehumidifier, which was a nice touch. For breakfast, they even had high-quality steak (a must-order!), and the meat was very tender. Overall, the hygiene was excellent, and it offered great value for money. Highly recommend it to everyone.
