Buffet breakfast was great, children eats free. We have a car so is accessible. Ski field a short 8 mins away. Onsen was nice, unfortunately not all guests followed the rules. Would be perfect if they provided Japanese toiletries in the hotel room (Dove brand provided). Room with balcony was beautiful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, the facilities, hospitality. Highly recommended.

The hotel environment is great, and the room facilities are complete. The minibar isn't free, but the bedding is comfortable. There's a shuttle bus available, and a supermarket nearby. The only downside is the breakfast, which is quite ordinary and doesn't offer a wide variety of dishes.

The property is surrounded by lush forest and greenery. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, with balconies offering serene woodland views. Each room also features a private hot spring bath, where floor-to-ceiling windows bring the mountain scenery indoors. The buffet breakfast is a delightful blend of local Shinshu ingredients and a wide variety of delicious Western options. There's even a FamilyMart convenience store in the lobby, ensuring all amenities are well-covered. The staff are polite and attentive, and guests can rent bicycles to explore the town, creating a relaxed and comfortable vacation atmosphere. It's the ideal base for short, chartered tours around Karuizawa.

Excellent! The environment is beautiful! The room is clean! The service is great! The food is decent! The hotel facilities are very comprehensive! It feels wonderful to look out at the snow-capped mountains! Very comfortable! It's very close to the ski resort!

Great customer service, staff was friendly and polite. Pick up service from/to Hakuba bus terminal was a plus. Had their seasonal set dinner at 11,000Yen but was not the best and lots of food choices along Echoland. Overall stay was pleasant.

Had a great time at this resort hotel! Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable! Had a great experience with all the ground staff. Breakfast, Lounge access staff were all excellent! Special thanks to Miyata, the lady in short hair with black jacket and trousers. They were lovely and super helpful and friendly.

Check-in at the hotel starts at 3 PM. We arrived two hours early, and they wanted an extra 3000 yen for early check-in, which my friend wasn't happy about. So, we decided to take a taxi to the Stone Church instead. The taxi cost 3800 yen, and the driver was very kind, even telling us how to find the bus for our return trip. The hotel room was quite spacious. The East Wing has a hot spring, but unfortunately, we were too tired to use it. Breakfast in the East Wing is a Japanese set meal, with a self-service salad bar, fruit, and beef curry rice. The hotel offers a shuttle bus service from Karuizawa Station, making transportation quite convenient. The shuttle runs approximately every 30 minutes.

The room terrace during the autumn foliage season is truly dreamlike, beautiful in different ways both at night and during the day! It's worth coming just for the terrace and garden alone! A special highlight was leaving a note on Trip.com hoping for a room on the second floor. I didn't have high hopes it would be seen, but they actually arranged it! The service attitude is excellent. After arriving at Karuizawa Station, you can call the hotel to pick you up, and they're very quick, arriving in about 5 minutes. The only minor drawback is that there was a noticeable humming sound in the room, whether it was the heater or some other machine running. It was loud enough that I could still hear it even with earplugs in. I tried turning off all the appliances I could find in the room, but it was still there. At the time, I thought maybe I was just too sensitive to noise, but there was no such sound at the other hotel I stayed at the next day.

Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort is a perfect place for great views, relaxation and luxury retreat. We stayed on the top of the resort where the view of the Asama Mountain is breathtaking. The room is spacious but cozy. The dinners were very good. We stayed two nights (half board), the two fine-dining French dinners with local ingredients we had were superb. The courses served at the dinners didn’t have any repeat. I will definitely come here again for other seasons.
