This hotel offered a wonderfully thoughtful stay. The moment we arrived, the front desk attendant greeted us with a big, friendly smile. Her warm and considerate demeanor made us feel truly welcomed. We were just about to head out when it started pouring rain, and she proactively warned us about the slippery conditions and kindly lent us an umbrella, which was a real lifesaver for our outing. The hotel's location is also excellent, right in the middle of a bustling food street. This made ordering takeout incredibly convenient; our food arrived shortly after placing an order. Getting to nearby attractions by taxi was also quick and inexpensive. Plus, the hotel lobby has a dedicated cultural and creative products section, which was a huge bonus for us out-of-towners. We didn't have to go far to find a souvenir shop; we could easily pick up suitable gifts right there, which was very convenient.

The location is excellent, with the guesthouse and convention center both in this area. When checking in, the front desk attendant asked about my booking channel. Upon hearing it was Ctrip, he even upgraded me to a lake-view room. The view is spectacular, and the scenery is beautiful. In the morning, the sunlight streams onto the balcony, and opening the curtains reveals a picturesque landscape. The room is spacious, with distinct living and sleeping areas. The layout and amenities are fantastic. The breakfast selection is varied, but my favorite was the congee with dried bamboo shoots, and the coffee was delicious – an Americano was perfect for a morning boost.

I initially chose another hotel, but wasn't satisfied. Then I came to Lan Ou Hotel, and it felt like a breath of fresh air. The room has a big bed and a comfortable sofa to lounge on. It's located next to a residential area, so it's super quiet at night for sleeping. They even offer Fujian local snacks for breakfast! The hotel front desk service is also very attentive; they were still actively answering questions even near midnight. I'd recommend this place to anyone flying in or just arriving in Fuzhou. Plus, it's close to a street full of delicious food. Definitely avoid hotels near the highway; they're noisy at night. In short, if you're in Fuzhou, choose Lan Ou!

Highly recommend this hotel! 1. The best thing is its location: inside the ancient city, the North Gate leads to the food street and is next to Taigu Bridge; the South Gate connects to Taiwan Road, making it super convenient to reach all the scenic spots and food areas in the ancient city within minutes! You can slowly experience the ancient city by day and night: mornings are peaceful but full of local life, where you can chat with residents and enjoy local breakfast in nearby streets to start a vibrant day; at noon, it's too hot, so head back for a nap and scroll through your phone; at 4 PM, head out to find food or a spot for coffee and just relax; evenings are all about the hustle and bustle! 2. Hotel environment: It has a courtyard design, with flowers and plants everywhere, making it a quiet oasis in the middle of all the action. It offers the warmth of a B&B with the management of a hotel! 3. Room: We chose the 3rd-floor LOFT, which gave the kids their own space. It would have been even more perfect if the view from the balcony was a bit better! The public area on the 2nd floor is also great, you could sit there all afternoon with a coffee or tea. 4. The ancient city offers a variety of snacks, so you can spend a whole day just walking, stopping, eating, and exploring 😁 Everyone can cross中山公园 (Zhongshan Park) to 青年路 (Qingnian Road) for more food! I recommend 锦群饭店 (Jinqun Restaurant); for a Cantonese foodie like me, it's right up my alley – large portions with that 'wok hei' flavor! It has that street-side stall vibe! We ate there two days in a row. Although the rating isn't high, I've included photos, so you can judge for yourselves.

I've stayed here many times, and it's always very comfortable. It's really close to the subway station, and you can quickly get to popular spots like Sanfang Qixiang, Dongbai Center, and SEOC Plaza, which have lots of great food and entertainment. Highly recommend!

I found the room uncomfortable, there aren't any hooks where to hang towels, and the small stands are occupied, so you end up having nowhere to put the towels or bathrobe. The sliding door for the bathroom is very noisy and inconvenient, the magnifying mirror does not have a light, so when you get close to it its too dark to see you face well if you are above 180cm tall, the showroom does no have a tray, so if you brushing your teeth there, there is not even a tiny space where to put your toothbrush or anything at all, razor for example, you need to open the door all the time to take things in and out,, nowhere nearby to hang the towel either. The gym equipment for back workout, lack lubricant and does not work properly when you pull is ok but then the wire does not retrieve the cable back smoothly as it is poorly maintained. I found the room structure and how things are placed very awkward and uncomfortable, lacking spacing for personal things in the bathroom. breakfast was very good, and the staff was excellent and very responsive to my necessities though.

We stayed for 3 nights during the china labor holidays in May on 3rd floor of the hotel. Pros: - Location was excellent for shopping and transport links. There were escalators that directly take you into the main shopping street. The Line 1 station is easily accessible via a short 5min walk through the shopping mall opposite the hotel. - Staff was friendly and bed was comfy and room was clean. Cons: - Sound proofing of rooms was terrible. Could hear clearly pedestrians and cars from the outside and also from guests in the adjacent rooms. The sound of doors closing from the other rooms were really loud and frequently interrupted our nights sleep. - Breakfast was very basic and seating area very limited. - Only one lift to service all 6 floors so was slow and sometimes crowded.

## Review **Facilities:** The hotel's facilities are quite comprehensive. The bathroom in the room has a wet/dry separation. There's also a projector, a large table where you can place a lot of items, and a spacious booth that's perfect for luggage and clothes. **Cleanliness:** Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the cleanliness. For this price point, the cleanliness far exceeded my expectations. There were no hidden dirty spots anywhere; even the pendant lights were spotless. The white bed linens and duvet covers were free of any stains, making for a very comfortable and reassuring sleep. **Environment:** The hotel is located right by a main road, and the beach is just at the end of it, making travel very convenient. It's about a 5-6 minute walk to the subway station. While it's not directly on Zhongshan Road, it's not far, and it's very close to all the attractions. During my stay, getting to all the sights by taxi was very easy and quick. A taxi to Xiamen Station takes only about 15 minutes, and Xiamen North Station is directly accessible via Metro Line 1, which I found very convenient! **Service:** From the moment I walked in, the front desk attendant's service was very pleasant. Check-in was incredibly fast. After adding the concierge on WeChat, I received useful information including check-in instructions, Wi-Fi password, and local guides, which were very helpful and practical. The cleaning staff were also very warm and attentive; they patiently answered all my travel-related questions! I'm very satisfied with this stay at Zhenyue! 👍

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied with this hotel. Upon arrival, they upgraded my room, and for the May Day holiday, they even prepared a festive welcome gift – a truly delightful surprise! The room was an Executive King, very spacious, and even included a hot tub with bath salts for a relaxing soak. The slippers were of good quality, not the usual disposable fabric type. Breakfast selection was quite good for a four-star hotel, featuring hot dishes. You could even customize your own hot pot with options like beef eye, fish balls, and more. It really had a distinctive Fujian flavor.

YYutousan333To be honest, it was much better than I expected. I saw reviews saying the rooms were old, but I actually found it quite good, just a normal older hotel. 1. The room was spacious. 2. The facilities were complete. 3. Although the bathroom had a bathtub and a shower curtain, the water pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. The only downside was that the hairdryer's airflow was really weak... Since we had stayed at a B&B in Pingtan for 690 yuan during the May Day holiday before this, near Xianrenjing, the soundproofing was terrible, the room was tiny, and the toilet wouldn't drain. Comparing the two, I think the Millennium Hotel is fantastic! 😂 Plus, the location is super convenient, right next to the subway exit, about 60 meters away, and at the beginning of Zhongshan Road. I really liked it. It's also close to popular bubble tea shops like Cuida (at China Plaza), just opposite the hotel. We stayed on the 20th floor, and the view was great too. All the sunset photos were taken by me, I genuinely recommend it! (Though I do think keeping expectations low definitely helps with a better experience 😂)

GGuest UserFor my trip to Fuzhou, I chose the Sanmar Hilton by the Min River, and overall, the experience was quite reliable. The most unique feature is definitely its 'sky lobby' – check-in is on the 40th floor. As soon as you step out of the elevator, the panoramic view is stunning, and the front desk staff were efficient. I stayed in a high-floor river view room (48th floor), and the full-height windows offered an absolutely fantastic view. By day, you can watch boats on the Min River, and by night, it's the bustling CBD city lights. Being able to take in the entire city's scenery from bed was a huge plus. The room itself was spacious and well-laid out. The bedding had that classic 'cloud-like' feel, and there was a good selection of pillows, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate shower and bathtub, which was great for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The housekeeper also thoughtfully checked in daily to ask about any replenishment needs, which was another nice touch.

PPausini GI find the photos posted by the hotel is very very misleading. The exterior look like a big hotel but it was a hotel with small entrance at the side of the building. I got 4 x twin sharing bedrooms for 4 night for a big family group. The room is clean in ”general” but it was kind of run down. The bed was really bouncing so not suitable for olf folks or people who prefer firm mattress. Toilet as I mentioned is kind of rundown. We appreciated some counter staffs who allow us to order food and dine our supper. The security guide was nice enough to gave us a big rubbish bag to throw our stuffs but there are staffs who are not so nice to rush us back to rooms instead. Location, very near to MRT station and many eatery around also next to a big shopping mall and sanfang qixiang. Washing rooms need to be brighter. Overall very rundown and they are upgrading as well.

MMuguangshangmeiOn my first night in Longyan, I stayed at the Antumanxi Hotel and was completely captivated by its modern aesthetic design! Driving? They offer complimentary parking, which was super convenient ✨. 🌟Room Highlights: The smart controls get a perfect score! 💯 With electric curtains, a smart toilet, and a voice control system, it's a lazy person's dream! My absolute favorite was the extra-large sofa, perfect for sprawling out and binge-watching shows – pure bliss! The bathroom features a dry/wet separation, and the toiletries are premium. I personally found the bedding to be incredibly comfortable and pressure-free – even fussy sleepers will drift off instantly 😴. 🍽️Breakfast Lovers, Pay Attention: They offer Longyan's local specialties like 'Bo Ji Ban' and 'Yu Zi Bao'! The freshly-made noodle soup is a must-try! Pair it with a cup of coffee to kickstart your energetic day ☀️.

AAnonymous UserI usually do not choose homestay when other modes are available. However in Yunshuiyao homestay is the only choice. Given that 1949 has to preserve the local architecture do not expect 5 star hotel facilities. For all the constraints of a ”min su” the staff do go the distance to ensure they meet the demands of guests. I checked out a happy guest and will recommend 1949 to other travelers.
