The location of the hotel is great. Just outside, to the east side of the old town (古城), with a few minutes' walk. Near a bus stop too, where we can get to most places pretty conveniently or a good pick up spot for taxi. Our room is pretty spacious and well-lit. Big bed. The column where the TV hangs on it's kind of a weird design but ok. They provide a sufficient amount of supplies for the bathroom. Hair dryer is like dyson. I was pretty shocked by that. Definitely a plus. Most of the room is pretty spotless, except the floor can be swept more clean. We found some plastic pieces and a few hairs stuck on the floor, but it's tolerable. We just dealt with it ourselves. Front desk staff are patient and friendly. I think it's worth the money to get their breakfast. It's made fresh every day and has pretty good healthy selections. Self-help laundry machines on 5th floor. We are satisfied with this stay!

This hotel feels like a natural oxygen bar! It's right next to a lake, and there are so many different types of trees on the property, making the air super fresh. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of birds singing. It's perfect for those driving, as there's ample parking both above ground and in a large underground garage. Within a few minutes' drive, you can find shops and restaurants, and major shopping areas like Nanmendou are just a 10-minute drive away. The staff here are incredibly welcoming. The security guards not only help with parking but also proactively offer to assist with luggage and guide you to the lobby, which was fantastic! Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff even provided information about the swimming pool and gym without me asking. The hotel has a lovely Chinese courtyard style that's very comfortable. My room was clean and tidy, with a balcony and a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom. Each building has security personnel, which is a big plus. If you order takeout, it gets delivered to the first floor, and the security staff arrange for a little robot to bring it to your room – super cool! The breakfast offered a rich variety, including local rice noodles and vermicelli.

This stay was incredibly comfortable! The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft, making for a great night's sleep, and the bathroom amenities were complete and high-quality. The front desk service was warm and attentive, responding to requests very promptly. Getting around from the location was also very convenient, offering excellent value for money. I felt safe and relaxed throughout my stay – it was a true haven during my trip. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely be back!

I stayed at this hotel hidden in the ancient city during the holidays, and it was a fantastic experience with incredible value for money. I forgot to take photos of the room, but it looked exactly like the pictures in the hotel's room type description, which was reassuring. If you're driving, you can park your car in the parking lot outside the ancient city, and the hotel provides a convenient 24-hour shuttle service. The hotel has a typical ancient city courtyard style with plenty of spacious areas, and it's very photogenic! The room decor was unique and roomy, making for a very comfortable stay. Especially at night, sitting on the terrace was incredibly quiet, completely undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of the scenic area. The location is excellent; stepping out of the hotel's main courtyard leads you right to a food street. The hotel staff provided excellent service and were very quick to respond to requests. Overall, it far exceeded my expectations!

The hotel was easy to find and convenient for taxis. The front desk staff was very handsome and check-in was quick. It's not far from Sanfang Qixiang. The biggest plus is that the airport shuttle to Changle departs right across the street, which is super convenient. The only downside was the breakfast, a KFC set meal, which was disappointingly small. If I had known, I wouldn't have opted for breakfast; it wasn't worth the price. Everything else was great though!

The location is fantastic: There are convenience stores, restaurants, and a subway station nearby, which is incredibly convenient for independent travelers. You don't have to waste time on transportation, and you can easily grab some snacks and fruits before heading back to the hotel at night. This kind of convenience really enhances the travel experience. Heartfelt service: Often, memories of a hotel come from those perfectly executed service details. Breakfast is a bonus: It combines Fuzhou's local specialty snacks (like fish balls, rouyan, guobianhu, etc.) with an international buffet, satisfying both the desire for novelty and different tastes. Being able to enjoy authentic local snacks at breakfast is definitely more leisurely than making a special trip to a snack bar. Your 'wise choice' is so detailed and will be a very practical reference for anyone planning a trip to Fuzhou and debating where to stay. I'm sure this choice won't disappoint you on your next visit to Fuzhou. If you're interested in sharing other discoveries from your trip – like good places you visited starting from the hotel, or memorable restaurants you tried – feel free to chat about it anytime.

Hotel is located in strategic location. It is very close to department store, walking street and metro station line 1. Hotel offers adequate breakfast and hot food. The room is comfy with big bathroom. The only downside of this hotel is no sound proof. I heard every noises from street horn, upstair, downstair and the worst of this trip was... my room is next to fire exit and house keeping room in the 3rd floor. This was so so annoying and was interrupt with my sleep every night!!!

I came to Changle for the You Shen festival and had an early morning flight the next day, so I specifically chose this hotel because it offered airport transfer service. The hotel's architecture is simple yet grand, and the lobby's glass is bright and sparkling. Overall, it feels high-end and refined, quite distinctive. The check-in process, from registration to getting the room card, was smooth and efficient, no long waits. Plus, my king-size room was upgraded directly to a premium room, which was a pleasant surprise! The staff, especially Peanut, noticed we had an early flight and thoughtfully gave us complimentary double breakfasts, ensuring we could fill up before starting a comfortable day! It's rare to find a hotel that's this warm and thoughtful. Definitely a five-star review. I'll choose this place again next time I'm in Fuzhou.

The room was clean and tidy. The front desk service was excellent. I'll definitely stay here again if I come to Xiamen in the future. Gulangyu, Shapowei, and the Twin Towers are all very close by. Its location is really convenient, and the soundproofing is pretty good too. The room facilities are all well-equipped, and you can tell the front desk if you need anything – they're always responsive. Plus, they have a 24-hour front desk, which is super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. Taxis drop you right at the door. The furthest attractions are within two kilometers. Zhongshan Road is less than a ten-minute walk away, which is very quick. However, there are many shared bikes in Xiamen, so you can cycle to the beach. Baicheng Beach is also very close. The weather has been great these past few days, perfect for photos. I'll stay here again next time if I get the chance! Remember, Xiamen University requires reservations 2-3 days in advance! Make sure to plan your trip well!!

EElizabeth Frances RoseThis place makes me wish there was an option for six stars. I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay. I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me. I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters. To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget. For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms. Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful. The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees. This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine. This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit. It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

AAnonymous UserThe room was decent, and the hotel is conveniently located near the seaside and the ferry terminal. It's right next to Zhonghua City, and just a 5-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, though I wouldn't recommend Zhongshan Road as the environment isn't great. The Botanical Garden, Huli Mountain Fortress, Xiamen University, Baicheng Beach, the Coastal Road, and the 'Sea View of Kinmen' tour from Heping Wharf are all worth visiting. Definitely avoid the offshore cruises recommended by people on the street – they're usually from sketchy companies. Breakfast offered a good variety, but the soy milk and fried dough sticks were a bit cold, and I couldn't get used to the duck blood in the oyster vermicelli soup.

AAnonymous UserService: The service was incredibly attentive and efficient. They were very quick to respond to requests, definitely a five-star experience. Environment: The view was fantastic, overlooking the Min River. We got to watch the sunset, which was absolutely beautiful. Facilities: The TV wasn't a smart TV, so we couldn't cast anything to it. Hopefully, they'll update that soon. I really liked the toiletries, though. Breakfast: There was a good variety of options, but the taste was just average. It was extremely crowded, and there was a lot of waiting in line.

GGuest UserI really loved the hotel's design and ambiance. The room was comfortable, spacious, and spotless. It featured a projector, an automatic toilet, and smart room modes; with just a press of a button, the lighting and other settings would adjust automatically. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the train station, which was incredibly convenient. There's a courier station just a 3-minute walk away. The breakfast spread offered a good variety too! Everything tasted delicious – flavorful, not too salty or greasy. I especially recommend the *jiuniang* (sweet fermented rice soup), Sihuanhua, fried eggs, and the freshly made noodles. The staff were all very warm and friendly, always greeting us. Knowing we had traveled a long distance, they even gave us a small gift bag containing some snacks and water to help us re-energize for our journey. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! (They even upgraded us for free as our originally booked room type wasn't available due to a late check-out. *Please note: The attached photo is of the upgraded room, not our original booking.*)

VVythicaWe stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags. The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required. Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100. The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old. When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage. The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy. The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening. The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day. There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu. The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse. The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.

YYaoyaojiadeyuThis hotel is simply perfect! The room was huge, and the cleaning staff tidied up every day. Every evening, they'd bring sweet soups like tremella or red bean, along with fruit, right to our room. The restaurant on the 22nd floor was also great; we could leisurely enjoy breakfast there before heading out. There's a gym and a pool on the 6th floor. Speaking of which, I almost gave a bad review. When I chose this hotel, it was specifically because of their swimming pool. However, when I got there, I found out that during the Chinese New Year period, the pool hours were only from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM. This is exactly when we were out and about! How could anyone use the pool then? I was so annoyed. But, considering their excellent service, I let it go and still gave a full five stars. I also want to give a special shout-out to ”Huihui” at the front desk. We accidentally left something in the hotel fridge and only realized it after we'd checked out. Huihui very enthusiastically helped us find it and even mailed it to us. We're so grateful! All in all, this is a hotel with complete facilities, thoughtful service, and a warm, lovely atmosphere. It's the kind of cozy place that made us look forward to coming back to rest every day after a tiring day of sightseeing.
