This hotel is over two decades old, and it really shows in the outdated layout, room types, furniture, TV, electronic control system, and water system. At check-in, the front desk asked me to scan a QR code to register as a member, claiming future booking discounts. She said she'd take a photo after I finished, but it required filling out a lot of information, which was quite inconvenient. Once I got to my room, the doorbell rang. It was a staff member saying the TV cabinet door wasn't closing properly and she'd found someone to fix it. Shouldn't things be fixed *before* guests check in? I hadn't even reported it. The booking page showed a complimentary self-service afternoon tea. When I went down to the lobby bar, they said everything inside was extra. The 'afternoon tea' turned out to be a staff member in a corner by the entrance, spreading taro paste on two small biscuits. The drinks were just vegetable and fruit-infused water from a dispenser in the front desk corner. You could literally walk across the lobby and stand there to enjoy this so-called self-service afternoon tea. Anyone walking by could take some, so why was it so prominently listed in the booking package? It wasn't exclusive to guests, just a meager offering. It was raining in Fuzhou the day I checked in. The front desk lent me an umbrella, but as the rain got heavier, I discovered it was leaking. It was raining heavily outside and lightly inside, so I ended up getting wet regardless. On the positive side, the gym and swimming pool were decent. However, the slippers were broken. What's bizarre is that I went twice on two different days, used different lockers, and both times the left slipper was broken. A 100% chance of getting a faulty left slipper! Even more interesting, while I was swimming, a 'leader' came to inspect and pointed out some issues. After he left, the staff members muttered amongst themselves, saying things like, 'We've done so well, and he still finds problems,' completely unconcerned about me being there. Honestly, instead of all this superficial effort, the hotel should seriously look at feedback like mine and pay attention to the details. Fuzhou is your founder's hometown, and 'Fuxiang' has lasted twenty years. Where will it be in the next twenty?

I initially chose another hotel, but wasn't satisfied. Then I came to Lan Ou Hotel, and it felt like a breath of fresh air. The room has a big bed and a comfortable sofa to lounge on. It's located next to a residential area, so it's super quiet at night for sleeping. They even offer Fujian local snacks for breakfast! The hotel front desk service is also very attentive; they were still actively answering questions even near midnight. I'd recommend this place to anyone flying in or just arriving in Fuzhou. Plus, it's close to a street full of delicious food. Definitely avoid hotels near the highway; they're noisy at night. In short, if you're in Fuzhou, choose Lan Ou!

My stay was very pleasant. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, making for a truly relaxing experience. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh, delicious food, catering to diverse tastes. The front desk and room service staff were attentive, responsive, and friendly. The location is excellent, right next to a subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. There are also many authentic local restaurants nearby, so you can easily explore local cuisine right outside the hotel. Overall, it offers great value for money and I highly recommend it!

Had a terrible experience. The comforter was damp. Aside from the sea view, it was worse than staying at an Atour. The most frustrating thing was the long wait to check out. When I asked the front desk, I was actually scolded! I reflected on it afterwards: 1. I wasn't feeling well and my reactions were slow. 2. If a five-star hotel can't shake off its 'Kong Yiji' (pretentious and outdated) attitude, it should at least maintain its facilities, even if the price is a bit higher. 3. Maybe I haven't stayed at hotels requiring a deposit much in recent years.

We booked a 270° river view room. When we arrived, the previous guests had just checked out, and the front desk upgraded us to a suite directly. It was a bit of a shame, actually, because I originally wanted to book a suite when I made the reservation, specifically for the river view from that particular room. Luckily, everything else went smoothly. The elevator system in the hotel is a bit cumbersome; you have to go from the underground parking to the ground floor, then from the ground floor up to the 40th floor to check in, and then switch elevators again to go up to the 54th floor. However, there's a dedicated service for delivering food orders directly to your room. Another reason I booked this hotel was for the gym, but due to my schedule, I couldn't make it there, which was a bit disappointing. I missed out on the 'sky gym.' I didn't try the hotel breakfast, so I can't comment on its quality. The hotel's surroundings are very convenient, making it easy to get to various places. Every single staff member at the hotel is exceptionally good. No matter who it was or where they were, if they saw you carrying something, they would proactively ask and offer help. The turndown service was also excellent. Setting aside the hardware, their service awareness surpasses even the Waldorf Astoria in Xiamen. Attendant Xiao Yang's service was excellent and very thoughtful. The housekeeping auntie also had an outstanding service attitude; towel replenishment was prompt, and trash was collected in a timely manner. Really excellent. Special praise for the 'sky shower' – the water pressure was impressive. It was a very comfortable trip overall. However, there might be a significant mite problem with the hotel bedding. My baby developed rashes, which was a bit upsetting. Everything else was quite good.

This hotel is located right on a food street. The rooms are new and the air quality is great. They even had the air conditioning on for us before we checked in, which was a nice touch. The room was very spacious, and the hot water for the shower was excellent and fast. The bedding was also very comfortable and clean. The front desk staff were professional and patient. I witnessed some difficult guests making unreasonable demands, and the staff handled it with incredible patience and professionalism. The hospitality industry is tough, and I hope everyone can be more understanding. It's a great hotel and definitely worth recommending!

Loved this beautiful, traditional hotel in Fuzhou. The staff was super accommodating to my dog and extremely helpful. Parking was very convenient right opposite the street where the hotel was in. One note, while the hotel itself was super pet friendly- my dog was even allowed to come with us to the breakfast restaurant and they made sure to arrange a quiet spot- it should be noted that the hotel itself is in a pedestrian area that doesn’t allow dogs. It would have been nice to know this beforehand. When I let the concierge know that we weren’t being allowed into the street, he immediately came running to assist and we were allowed to walk from the hotel and back during our stay, but it would’ve been nice to know beforehand. The staff was kind enough to tell us where in the area I was allowed to walk my dog. The room and amenities were beautiful though and other than the doggy inconvenience we loved our stay. They even were quick and helpful to send back the jacket my mom had forgotten in the room.

Our overall experience during this stay was incredibly satisfying. The pool team, in particular, was outstanding. Special mention goes to Chen and Li, who worked from 6 AM to 3 PM; they displayed exceptional professionalism. They were consistently focused and responsible during their shifts, never distracted by their phones, always attentive to the children's safety, and provided meticulous and appropriate service. Their dedication and expertise left us with a very deep and positive impression of the hotel, even making us consider extending our stay. While I don't recall the names of the other pool staff, they too left a strong and positive impression.
