愛飛的我
The accommodation was spacious, with clean bathroom facilities and beautiful scenery, which made us feel relaxed and happy. Although the location is a bit far from the city center, the overall value for money is high, and it is highly recommended. The scenery and service were all wonderful. However, the parking lot was terrible. Don't park upstairs; there are countless narrow, winding turns that will make you dizzy and easily scratch your car.

Ayza DansAn absolutely wonderful stay! The room was spotless, comfortable, and the service from the entire team was top-notch. What made our stay extra special was the sweet surprise—a complimentary cake from the hotel for our wedding anniversary! It was such a thoughtful touch that truly made our celebration memorable. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️✨
Giving it an 8/10—a bit noisy due to construction in progress

Guest UserFantastic sunset view! Choose the one with balcony and sea view, you will never regret! Stayed here a few times and each time is a super good stay and good memories . The room is clean, with big bath tub, slippers and comfortable bed! The beach has interesting with seashells under the sand, saw people digging them! There is a gym and it is just a 5 min walk to the Batik Factory where you can also shop beautiful batik clothings!

Guest UserOur last hotel in Penang was in Batu Ferringhi. The hotel isn't very large, and the room facilities are a bit dated, but the experience was excellent! First, the resort layout is well-designed; despite its size, the areas are cleverly arranged, creating beautiful views at every turn. There are several swimming pools, including two for children with slides and more. Most importantly, there are staff members consistently present at the slides and by the pools to supervise and maintain order, ensuring children can play safely and securely! Breakfast was also great; although there was a queue during peak hours, the food was delicious and offered a wide variety. The beach bar also had good food, and it was lovely to relax there with the lights on at night.
The best part is that the hotel has direct access to the beach and the sea! And the path from the hotel to the sea looks absolutely beautiful when lit up at night.
We booked a two-story family room with a lovely balcony. The staff service was also excellent. I'm giving it five stars.

mayacyrusHygiene: Clean and meets star-rated standards.
Environment: The hotel itself is great, with a gym and a courtyard with a pool. I stayed in the Garden Wing, which only has a rocky beach facing it. The sandy beach is on the Rasa Wing side. You can no longer walk directly along the beach to Batu Ferringhi Beach; you have to walk out and take a main road for a bit. The surrounding area feels a bit desolate; there are very few air-conditioned dining options. It's better to take a taxi when going out.
Service: The service was truly mediocre, even poor. There was a QR code at the reception desk for Chinese customer service. After I added it, I realized they only speak Chinese. I asked the customer service to help me inquire if my room had been cleaned and if my booked room type issue had been resolved. The WeChat customer service just told me to ask the front desk. I told him I had already asked the front desk, and he just told me to dial 0 for the front desk. In short, I couldn't get any answers, which was quite unsatisfactory. However, I was quite pleased with the anniversary gift.
Facilities: Thumbs up for the breakfast, it was excellent, truly superb.

Mijika LeeI had planned to spend a wonderful birthday here, but the hotel experience was quite disappointing. First, the room was extremely damp. My swimwear, which I washed after swimming the day before, was still not dry by the next day. I recommend hanging it on the balcony chairs to dry. Second, the room was old and rundown, filled with a musty smell. The bathroom was cramped with old facilities, and the bathroom door was noticeably dirty, which was very unpleasant. Third, there are no convenience stores nearby, making it quite inconvenient to get around. The only commendable aspects were the overall above-average breakfast with a wide variety of choices (you can ask the waitstaff to make pulled tea) and the ample parking spaces. However, do note that the parking lot is quite narrow. These were the only two satisfactory points. I do not recommend this hotel.

BingTaoI had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable.
The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes.
Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Guest UserOverall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the hi-tea that was delivered to our room. The breakfast was also tasty with a good selection of food.
However, one concern was the security of our room. The room we stayed in could be accessed directly from the swimming pool area, and it didn’t feel secure because it couldn’t be properly locked from the outside when we left. We felt that anyone could potentially enter from the poolside, which was quite worrying.
Another area that needs improvement is the breakfast service. While the food itself was delicious, the service at the breakfast area was noticeably lacking and could be more attentive and efficient.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but improving the room security and breakfast service would make the experience much better.

XiaojuanxincaiI was very satisfied with this booking. The front desk staff, both the young man and the young lady, were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had later on. There's even a Chinese-speaking front desk staff member. The room was excellent value for money; this executive room offered great space, amenities, and service. The breakfast and afternoon tea were also good. Our trip went smoothly; the hotel's location is very convenient for Mural Street, with many food options nearby and even a shopping mall.

LeleeThe entire hotel features British colonial-style architecture, with very spacious and well-designed rooms.
However, the service was perfunctory. During my three-day stay, despite frequent comings and goings, the doormen were rarely at the entrance. Even when they were, they generally didn't bother to open the door and looked expressionless. I believe this falls short of the service standards expected from a hotel of this price point. The turndown service was also a disaster; the duvet was wrinkled, the slippers weren't properly placed, and my charging cable was simply tossed onto the bed. Housekeeping was also very poor. On the second day, the toothbrush wasn't neatly arranged but rather haphazardly placed on the vanity. However, the housekeeping staff on the third day did a proper job of organizing the countertop. The toothbrush provided was a cheap, hard, brittle plastic one, typical of a budget guesthouse, and very unpleasant to use. Other amenities were acceptable.
Overall, the hotel's biggest selling points are likely its scenery, historical significance, and location. Don't expect much from the service.
