Overall, it was satisfying. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. If possible, I'd suggest upgrading the TV channels; there were too few options. For guests like us who stay a bit longer, it gets a bit boring because there aren't any good TV programs.
This hotel is located in the heart of Penang Island, right opposite Komtar. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a high-floor sea view room. The breakfast spread was excellent, and it's super convenient for shopping districts and the famous street art area. Penang durians, especially Musang King and Black Thorn, had just come into season and were absolutely delicious! I've stayed at a few other hotels for business trips to Penang before, but from now on, this hotel will be my go-to choice.
We stayed in Ansgana wing one bedroom suite. It's born with a magnificent Seaview but unfortunately obscured by the hotel layout like the balcony concrete egde at living room and the missing of curtain binder to gain 5-10% of Seaview. The sofa and TV are setup by the window side both at the living room and bed room but during day time the sunshine is so strong that you have to draw the curtain if you want to watch TV but at the same time your completely lose the view. The breakfast buffet offered were standard and I have no comment but the only obervation is the crows are the only diehard fans of the hotel food as they tried their best effort to grab the food from the table even in front of the guests! The only element that made our stay a good one is the hotel staff. Starting from Cika who handled our check in, our room attendant Masum, the big and tall guy at the buffet restaurant and also the lady who took care of our check out. All of them were efficient and effectively attending and responding to guests needs and tried their best effort to help us during our stay and kindly send my compliment to them especially Masum. Thank you Masum you deserves to be praised. Well done! Ansgana management in reading it's your team that saved your position that still got a 5 points except the food! In conclusion Ansgana tried to pack herself as a resort but quite unsuccessful as after check out we headed to Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and you will experience the layback and relax feel in a resort!
I recently stayed at Hard Rock Hotel Penang and overall I absolutely loved the experience. The hotel has an amazing atmosphere, great facilities, and truly lives up to the Hard Rock brand. Everything from the ambiance to the service made the stay enjoyable and memorable.
However, there is room for improvement when it comes to breakfast. After finishing our food, the dirty plates on our table were not cleared promptly, so they remained on the table for quite some time. It would be better if the staff could be more attentive in clearing used plates to ensure a more comfortable dining experience. In addition, the variety of food was not as wide as expected from a Hard Rock Hotel.
Overall, I still had a wonderful stay and would definitely consider returning in the future.
I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Penang and had such a wonderful experience.
One of the highlights of my stay was the spa. The masseuse was incredibly attentive and took the time to understand my body’s needs, making the treatment both relaxing and rejuvenating.
The breakfast buffet was another standout. There was an impressive variety of options each morning. On the first day, I enjoyed an English breakfast, pancakes, and nasi lemak. On the second day, I went for nasi tomato, roti canai, and waffles. The selection catered to both local and international tastes, making every breakfast something to look forward to.
The beach is conveniently located near the hotel and feels almost like a private lagoon designed exclusively for guests. It offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding by the sea.
The hotel also provides excellent facilities for all ages, including separate pools for kids and adults. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, such as foosball, snooker, and even a kids’ cinema area.
Overall, it was a fun and memorable stay, with great hospitality, excellent food, relaxing wellness facilities, and plenty of activities for families and couples alike. I would definitely recommend DoubleTree by Hilton Penang for a relaxing getaway.
It's very clean, with a beach right outside, and a water slide for kids. However, the staff's attitude wasn't very friendly. I took my kids to swim and forgot my room card. There was a staff member sitting at a desk by the elevator. I asked her to help swipe the card so we could enter the elevator, but she just pointed to the security guard at the main entrance with a blank expression.
TREASURE BOX At Heritage Georgetown has accommodations in George Town near Wonderfood Museum and Penang Times Square. The 1-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom and free WiFi. The hotel has family rooms.
All guest rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. The rooms will provide guests with a desk and a coffee machine.
Popular points of interest near TREASURE BOX At Heritage Georgetown include Northam Beach, 1st Avenue Penang and Rainbow Skywalk at Komtar. Penang International Airport is 9.3 miles from the property.
I was a little disappointed that there was no pool and the breakfast buffet selection could have been more expansive. The room I loved and it had so much character. But the proofing was a little lacking and the heat would come inside through the bathroom and windows. The towels were rather old and had a dirty/musty smell. The hotel had a perfect location within walking distance of so many attractions. It was quaint and I loved that part of it.
The Amari SPICE Penang is a standout choice for travelers seeking a sleek, contemporary stay directly connected to the island's premier convention center and near the airport. Its rooms are impressively bright and spacious, offering high-end comfort and modern tech amenities that cater perfectly to both business guests and families. While the location in Bayan Lepas is a bit far from the historic charm of George Town, the hotel compensates with a spectacular rooftop pool and a diverse, high-quality breakfast spread. Ultimately, it is the best-in-class option for those prioritizing convenience and modern luxury over proximity to the heritage district.
This was our过渡 hotel for the first night in Penang, and they offer 24-hour check-in. We arrived past midnight, but the Malay guy at the front desk was still very attentive. The room wasn't big but felt new with a modern design. Our room type faced the back street, so it was quiet, but it looked directly onto the building opposite, offering no view at all. If a view is important to you, I recommend booking a different room type. The hotel is very close to Toh Soon Cafe and the Peranakan Museum, both within a five-minute walk. The surrounding area is pretty quiet with not many shops.

Very Good
Service very good, food very good, room so good have pool and sauna so good, totally i will repeat again
First time staying at the Grand Ol Dame of Penang, celebrating its 140th anniversary. Stayed for 2 nights and the experience was great. Room was spacious and comfortable, facing the sea and you wake up to the sounds of crashing waves. Service was excellent. Breakfast was great, with cook-to-order char koay teow and roti canai, in addition to the standard eggs station. Hotel location was strategic, with plenty of food options a simple Grab ride away. The only thing lacking was the TV, coffee machine and fridge in the room, all of which could use an upgrade.
Fast check in process by Mr Saran. Easy parking access (no need to take any parking ticket. Receptionist will register your car plate number and you can enter and out from parking lot how many time you want). Requested birthday decorations and im so happy when i saw the decoration. It was so amazing! And we get small cake too! Thanks St Giles Wembley Penang for this hospitality! Booked Premier King room. I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort room. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable just the pillow is a bit hard for me. Nice view from the room. Quiet room. Breakfast 9/10. Many varieties of food. Delicious! Especially the taufufa. I repeat 3 times 😊. Gym is pretty nice and had adequate equipment. Pool view is Komtar 💜 Great location. Walking distance to 1st Avenue Mall, and most places. Hope this hotel will maintain the services, and cleanliness for long time. Will certainly return to St Giles Wembley Hotel on my next visit to Penang.
Beautiful resort with impeccable service The rooms are nice and clean, our room had a balcony which was nice. The pool is clean and wasn’t overcrowded during our visit. There is also a deep end to the pool. The beach is small but very clean and has amazing views across the sea.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Batu Ferringhi I booked my stay through Trip.com and the whole experience was effortless. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff member who attended to me was genuinely warm and accommodating. I was also given a late checkout, which made my stay even more relaxing. One thing I really enjoyed was the welcome cookie. It’s such a nice and thoughtful touch, especially when welcome drinks have become quite boring and predictable. The cookie felt unique and memorable. The lobby is spacious and inviting, with a beautiful view that immediately puts you in a good mood. My room was clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. Not long after I settled in, the hotel called to check if I needed anything. When I requested a toothbrush, they sent it up very quickly. The service throughout my stay felt attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast was excellent. There were plenty of choices and the staff were always nearby to help. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The gym is nice, well maintained and has a great view. The pool area is spacious, relaxing and perfect for winding down. Overall, I had a truly pleasant stay at DoubleTree Hilton Batu Ferringhi. Great service, great facilities and a very comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely come back again. #TravelReview #HotelReview #TripCom #DoubleTreeHilton #BatuFerringhi #PenangHotels #TravelMalaysia #HotelStay #HolidayVibes #TravelExperience #LuxuryStay #VacationMode #WanderlustMalaysia #GreatService #ResortLife
Had a great stay at Lone Pine Penang. The atmosphere was peaceful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Would definitely come back again.
