The hotel is great, staff are impeccable in their attentiveness to the guest. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding, with an abundance of choices catered to satisfy every taste. The pool and gym are also fantastic, with the added convenience of being open 24/7, to put in an early morning workout. Spacious and very well equipped and maintained. However, our stay was not without faults and there are definitely some things management needs to address: - the noise from the elevator automatic announcements is absurd! the ”doors opening/closing” alerts are constant and audible from neighboring floors as well as your own.If you stay in a room numbered xx15 or xx16, be advised you will not have a pleasant time - we asked to change rooms immediately as soon as we realized this. - elevators can be SLOW, magma slow. it can take a long time to move around if you are staying in a higher floor. We stayed for 2 nights and during that period 2 separate elevators were down for maintenance. It took us a total of 15 minutes to move from one floor to the other, after getting our room changed (for reasons stated above) and new keycards. - the level from street noise audible in the room is just inadmissible at a supposed 5-star hotel level, at least in the rooms facing the main road. These rooms have, inexplicably, a single pane of glass and very tall windows, which makes soundproofing pretty much nonexistent - mat rempit bikes racing in the dead of night, the call to prayer blasting from the loudspeakers of the mosque nearby before 6am, drilling from the construction site nearby, and other nuisances that definitely disturbed my sleep.

Trip.com should have highlighted that on the day we checked in there was a fire drill! We could jot sleep or rest after our long drive to the hotel. Rooms very old and outdated. Bathroom was small, the bidet was on the wrong side of the toilet. Air-conditioning was not working! Maintenance had to chg the filter but still it was bad. Room slippers was the worst, rooms carpet was coming off the metal ***** almost cut my feet. Breakfast and the staff was a plus, but overall very noisy the room, thet need to call the pest control, I think rats running in the vents!! Great free parking but you have to take a long drive back to the lobby, a huge turn around from the parking... bad experience overall.

Cleanliness is good don’t get me wrong but my experience wasn’t that great due to the fact that there were many Charlie Ants in the dresser, toilet, shower, and balcony area. Kudos to the hotel staff team tho for their prompt pest control services upon contacting them.

Pearl View Hotel offers a simple and pleasant stay, with normal cleanliness standards. The surrounding area is convenient, with nearby food stalls that offer easy dining options. There’s nothing particularly surprising about the hotel, but it provides an average experience at a reasonable price. Perfect for those looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly place to stay.

This stay far exceeded my expectations – it perfectly embodies the feeling of ”home away from home”! The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are warm and attentive, especially the young man who speaks Chinese. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it!

Right from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very enthusiastic bellboys and front desk staff, which made us feel right at home. 👍🏼 The adorable welcome ice cream was a particularly nice touch. We chose this hotel mainly to shop at the nearby Gurney Plaza, but it turned out not to be great for shopping. The locals basically warned us to avoid the food court outside, and since we didn't want to eat mall food, we even took a taxi back to George Town for dinner that day. So, I don't think the location is ideal, especially since the hotel is no longer beachfront after the land reclamation, and the view is much worse than before. Points deducted for a few things: the bathroom faucet was very stiff and hard to turn, the tissues weren't refilled beforehand, and the corners of the vanity weren't cleaned properly.

Extremely satisfied! I've had my eye on this hotel for a long time and finally got to check it out. I think it's a must-stay hotel when visiting Penang. It's incredibly photogenic with fantastic views, perfect for anyone who loves taking pictures. The bed was quite comfortable. Even though it's an antique hotel, its long history doesn't make it feel old or worn; on the contrary, it has a lot of character. The Heritage Wing is indeed excellent. There's an infinity pool, I believe, in the Victory Annexe, which is also great for photos. Guests staying in the Heritage Wing can access the Victory Annexe, but not vice-versa, so I highly recommend booking the Heritage Wing to enjoy both areas' services. Breakfast: There are three breakfast options. I had the à la carte breakfast exclusive to the Heritage Wing. The taste was just okay, but the ambiance and service were both very good. Accommodation: The bed was very clean and comfortable, quite soft. Having stayed in many five-star hotels, I'd say the bed here is exceptionally comfortable. Suggestion for the hotel: In the future, perhaps you could arrange for some observant staff to help with luggage at the entrance.

GGuest User-Love the room - but I found used dirty bottle in the kitchen cardboard. Other than that the room is perfect, they light up free candle to smell nice daily and the room is spacious with good view and bathtub -The grill seafood dinner buffet is a huge disappointment. The seafood is not fresh at all and they are super small, the oyster is like the size of my pinky nail. I rather you charge a more premium price and give me better quality seafood, I absolutely do not recommend the buffet

MMiaoMeowI found the hotel to be overall excellent and beautiful. The front desk and bellhop staff were quite enthusiastic, while others were just okay. The hotel facilities were also ample; for instance, since we arrived in the afternoon, the hotel allowed us to check in early. This meant I could easily take a nap on a sun lounger by the pool and even follow the sun to explore different parts of the hotel. The weather was great, and the ambiance was lovely. The hotel's location is fantastic, about a five-minute walk to the delicious Natsu. It was a shame that Bora Bora, right next to Natsu, was closed on Wednesday, so I missed out on the fire show, but the food was superb. The location is also a big plus for solo travelers wanting to go to the beach at night; I enjoyed a safe and peaceful time by myself. There were many breakfast options, but I felt the taste was pretty standard, nothing to write home about. My only minor complaint is that the shower head kept falling down and couldn't stay in place.

EEjannnMy overall experience at this hotel was very positive. The check-in process was efficient, and the front desk staff were polite and welcoming. The room was modern, clean, and equipped with all essential amenities. Housekeeping did an excellent job. The hotel’s facilities such as the gym and pool were well-maintained. Breakfast buffet offered a good selection and was constantly replenished. The location is strategic

XXthephineI’ve stayed at Lone Pine a few times and always enjoyed the experience, but this trip was a bit disappointing. The room arrangement wasn’t smooth — my first room had a constant clicking sound, so I had to change rooms. Even though I booked earlier, the replacement room still didn’t feel like a good arrangement. Breakfast also fell short of expectations. The variety was very limited, and both coffee machines ran out of coffee beans before 9am, so they couldn’t be used. At the egg station, I requested two hard-boiled eggs, but instead of preparing them, I was told to take the ones from the nasi lemak section. Overall, the breakfast service really needs improvement. I also went for the Elite Hour for drinks and snacks, but the snack selection was honestly quite awful and extremely limited. It didn’t match the standard I expected from Lone Pine. I hope the hotel can look into these details, as Lone Pine is a lovely place and I truly hope to see the experience return to the quality I used to enjoy.

When our taxi arrived at the hotel entrance, no one helped with the luggage; the staff at the door just stood there watching. At the last hotel, someone helped us the whole time. The seaside view was pretty good, though. Too bad I didn't spot any lizards.
