I had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel. Every aspect of the experience exceeded expectations — the room was impeccably clean, elegantly designed, and exceptionally comfortable. The staff were warm, attentive, and provided truly outstanding service throughout my stay. The breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a refined selection of high-quality, fresh, and beautifully presented options that made each morning a pleasure. The location is ideal, and the facilities are superbly maintained, contributing to an overall sense of sophistication and relaxation. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a premium and memorable stay, and I very much look forward to returning in the future.

The staff at the accommodation were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The English-speaking staff guided us around the facilities and thoroughly explained the rules. Despite the curfew at 9 PM, we were allowed to return later using an alternate door. Dinner was superb and delicious, with a variety of vegan dishes offered. It's a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.

Arrive at JR Shirahama Station and then transfer to the taxi for about 4 minutes. It is very close to Toretore market and can be reached on foot. The rooms are panda-shaped and spacious inside. Dinner and breakfast are buffet style 

The hotel's environment is fantastic, and the entrance garden landscape is absolutely beautiful. The seaside corridor is also stunning, and there's a dedicated hot spring area for foot soaks. The public outdoor hot spring views are also great. The only downside of my trip was the room I booked, which was supposed to have an indoor hot tub, but it turned out to be just a regular bathtub. Although the staff explained that the water was indeed from a hot spring, it still felt disappointing, so I didn't use it. I contacted Ctrip customer service about it, and their handling of the issue was very satisfactory. However, the public bath was a delightful surprise; both the environment and the soaking experience were incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend the dinner buffet. Even though it's a buffet, the ingredients are fresh, and the variety is extensive. You can even grill your own food. The tempura was exceptionally delicious, and they had Haagen-Dazs ice cream! Breakfast, however, wasn't as lavish and was quite simple. Overall, I'd say I'm satisfied.

They also thoughtfully provided a bucket for us to indulge in the glowing enchantment of firecrackers and even tidied the mess up afterwards. But the best memory of our stay here was definitely the culinary experience given by the chef extraordinaire — Master Chef Matsuki. His creations were nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. Each dish was a testament to his unwavering dedication and profound respect for the ingredients. Oh, the flavors — titillating all our taste buds in every bite. And the generosity of Chef Matsuki in sharing his culinary wisdom, guiding us on how to savor each morsel, elevated the entire dining experience to sheer perfection. The language barrier was no obstacle to the remarkable team of staff members who graced us with their presence. Their command of the English language was commendable, and even those who were not entirely fluent went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and need. Their genuine desire to assist us was palpable, leaving us feeling truly valued and cared for. I am already making plans to return with my beloved family, as I know they too deserve to bask in the unparalleled warmth and luxury that this establishment exudes. This hotel has set the bar impossibly high, redefining the meaning of hospitality and creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. So if you seek a hotel experience that transcends mere accommodation and transforms into a symphony of opulence, impeccable service, and culinary artistry, then look no further. This onsen hotel is right by the sea. We had a room with a 180-degree unbeatable ocean view, a super spacious room, and a huge balcony. The hotel's facilities, management, and service are all top-notch. There's a large public bath, a mixed-gender bath, and several private onsen rooms. The hotel is not far from Sandanbeki and Senjojiki, easily reachable on foot. Highly recommend! 👍

The hotel offers ocean view rooms and a restaurant with sea views. It was a truly delightful and relaxing stay. I highly recommend opting for both breakfast and dinner, as it really enhances the experience. The front desk staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and provided excellent service, which was commendable. For the Japanese-Western style ocean view rooms, the lower floors might get slightly less sunlight in the afternoon, but it doesn't detract from the overall comfort of the stay. There's also a public bath on the second floor. A standout feature of this hotel is definitely the front desk staff – a big shout-out to them again! If you plan on having dinner, it's highly advisable to book the two-meal-and-one-night package. Booking just the room and then adding meals separately will result in a significant price difference and won't be as cost-effective as the package deal. I highly recommend this hotel if you get the chance to visit. It's conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from JR Kii-Katsuura station.

The place has nice onsen pools with a good sea view. They let us change the check in date which was very helpful. It’d been better if the booking time for breakfast and dinner was informed before the arrival so guests could plan better for meals as the location is around 20 minutes walk from the railway station and restaurants.

We thought staying at Sen Retreat Takijiri was very good to start our Kumano Kodo journey. The Sen Retreat Chikatsuyu was even more impressive! The size of lodging with living room, the in unit washer and dryer, and prepared food and drink were superb! Especially, after a long journey in the mountain, the hot pot and cold beer were so comforting! We can see everything details has been taken care of. We strongly recommend our friends to stay at any Sen Retreat along Kumano Kodo hiking. We hope you continue to build up along the hiking route!

Nice view nice place, keep you relax staying in the hotel, free parking right beside the hotel, new experience of dinner with great cheese, and a set of breakfast with unlimited coffee give you refresh in morning. But beware of their dinner time at 5:30 and breakfast time in 7:30 that may different than expected.
