I was upgraded to a Deluxe room but it was at the extreme corner next to the service staircase. Grateful for the upgraded but the room conditions were not up to par . Hair in shower room , the shower holder fell when I was taking it out and it dropped on my toe . Hence the blue black toe shown ( hehe ) . I could not sleep the whole night as the air con was very very noisy even when I lower the adjustment. The day curtain was torn . I sound it out to reception the next morning to see whether they can change my room as I was staying for another 2 nights . They did and I reckoned it was another up grade as now the room has a standing shower room . In the other previous room , you have to stand in the bath tub to shower and for a man of 65 , it is a bit tricky . The hotel really needs an up grade too . It is in a good location and CAT bus is nearby . The CAT shuttle is a complimentary bus that moves around the town area . The saving grace for my trip was that the staff was up to par and reacted quickly . Well done on this . Now , I wait for my toe to heal .

The building is very new. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment on the 27th floor, and the balcony view was fantastic. The room was extremely clean with fresh and comfortable decor. The bedding and towels were new and spotless. The hot and cold water dispenser was super convenient, with clear instructions posted right next to it. It was very quiet at night, without the usual rumble of Southeast Asian motorcycles. The location is convenient, within walking distance to many teahouses where you can enjoy a local breakfast. The only thing to note is that the smaller bedroom has no window, but there was no strange odor in the room, so it wasn't an issue at all.

THE MOST AMAZING HOTE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN 10/10 1. Hotel Locaiton: Perfect as its not in the city and by the beach, amazing for relaxation. Hotel is surrounded by souvenir shops and street food. 10miute walk from Ferringhi Walk where there is a nice selection of street food but my favourite of all is that its just a 2 minute walk from my favorite restaurant in Malaysia, Ferringhi Garden. Penang trip isnt complete without going to Ferringhi Garden. Its an amazing restaurant with the most beautiful collection of plants, there is no other place like it in Malaysia. 2. The Hotel: Nothing bad to say about it. The design, the decor, everything about this hotel makes me want to stay there even longer. Its such a nice feeling being there. Facilities are clean and complete. 3. The Room: CLEAN. NICE. SPACIOUS. BEAUTIFUL. Every inch of the room is to my liking, i could not have asked for more. Mattress is thick and oh so comfortable. Aircond was cold. Room was very spacious. 4.The Buffet: The room came with breakfast for 2 and it was the perfect buffet to start each day with. Selection was incredible even better than a lot of buffet Ramadan Ive been to. They had everything from selections of breads, to nasi lemak with 12 different sambals, 5 different meat dishes to eat it with, assorted fruits, assorted cheeses, 2 types of porridge with the FULL suites of condiments, salads, pastries, roti canai with all the curries you will ever need, to your above average selection of continental breakfast menus like, beef bacon, beef and chicken sausages, hash browns, deli meats, smoked fish. And there is more! there is a made-to-order menu which many patrons are not aware of. I tried the minute steak and it was good!(pictured below) PS: Hakimi from breakfast service was spectacular, I requested strawberries for my picky 2 year old and he delivered. On the other hand, ANIS FROM THE OMELETTE STATION WAS RUDE TO MY WIFE, SHE NEEDS TO IMPROVE HER SOCIAL SKILLS(this is my one and only complain) Overall my stay was 10/10 and this will be the ONLY hotel i will be staying at if when im at Batu Ferringhi. I plan to go to Park Royal Batu Ferringhi Annually, its just that good!

There is no sufficient space for guests drop off and pick up and for if there are two to three cars the area before hotel will be messed up and stuck together! The enclosed captured screen from goggle map is self explanatory ! Every morning commencing 8:00 am to 09:00am there will be large trolleys outside the rooms and on upper floors transferring towels and other amenities around and the sound like you are sitting by the railway while the trains are crossing which was rather annoying. You will hear staff talking or chatting together and the metallic service door slamming during that period. Most interesting is every day the housekeeping has left souvenirs to us. The first day was a toilet brush and the second day was a cigarette lighter. Last but not the least when we approached the concierge to get the luggages while the car was waiting just outside the hotel main door the bell boy asked my wife to move the luggages by herself and the distance was only 3 meters away!

The room was clean, quiet, and spacious, with a water dispenser available in the hallway. The service was excellent, and we even received a welcome drink. However, the projector quality wasn't great; it remained blurry even after adjustment. Despite that, the room itself was very nice and large, with a great view. Even in a double room, the sofa was big enough for an extra person to sleep on. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and I'd definitely consider coming back.

We had a good stay at Flamingo Hotel by The Beach Penang. The hotel is very beautiful, and the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was also good. All the staff were nice except for one person named mr Li. He was not friendly during check-in, and I happened to meet the same person again during check-out. He looked very bossy, double standard and unfriendly. I would recommend sending him for hospitality training, especially for front office service. Other than that, everything was good and we had a pleasant stay there….

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the World Heritage site, with many great restaurants within walking distance. The room was quite spacious, but the cleanliness needs improvement; the bedsheets weren't very clean. Fortunately, it was all dealt with promptly, though the process itself was a bit unsatisfactory.

The hotel's facilities are a bit dated. The cabinets, doors, and bathroom counter in the room all show their age, and there's no magnifying mirror at the vanity. This likely relates to when it was last renovated; it's not very stylish, but it is clean, which is good. The service, however, is excellent, meeting five-star hotel standards without a doubt. They provide disposables, complimentary bottled water, welcome fruits, a breakfast buffet, and executive lounge access (depending on room type). The restaurant's decor has also been updated. I had a great experience with one particular staff member. I had booked an executive room, and upon check-in, the front desk assigned me a connecting room without informing me. The soundproofing was terrible; I could clearly hear people showering and talking in the next room, which severely disrupted my sleep. After I explained the situation to the front desk, they worked hard to switch me to another room of the same type, which was much better and very comfortable. I'd like to especially commend Hanz at the front desk for their prompt action in changing my room, which allowed me to get a good night's sleep. Regarding the location, just across the road is Shangri-La's Jen hotel. Its decor and facilities visibly appear newer and better. However, it's much lower in height and doesn't offer the good views this hotel does. If you're looking for a sea view room, this hotel is worth it. If views aren't a priority, you might want to compare the two. This hotel is about 1km from many attractions in the old town, including Jay Chou's favorite restaurant, the street art murals, Kimberley Street Food Night Market, and Chew Jetty. These are all pleasant to explore in the evening. It's too hot at midday, so I'd recommend taking a taxi or staying at the hotel.

For solo travelers like me, this place is incredibly convenient because of its excellent transportation links. All the main attractions – whether it's the beach, historic houses, restaurants, or various downtown spots – are within walking distance. I stayed here for a week and didn't need a single taxi. In the evenings, I could just stroll out to a bar or find some great food. I even made quite a few friends! The hotel's restaurant is also very good. Overall, the value for money here is exceptional.

PPutera Nor Danishgood place to escape from the busy city with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views. The pool area and surroundings were relaxing, and the breakfast selection was decent too. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room amenities. The toiletries, especially the soap, didn’t feel like they matched the standard I expected from a 5-star hotel. Overall, it was a nice stay, but some details could be improved to better meet expectations.

MMaira176First of all, thanks to the receptionist, concierge, and housekeepers for attending to me during check-in also related staff for being polite. However, I would like to highlight an issue regarding whether it was Trip.com or Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts management that listed rooms not actually available to customers, despite costing thousands and above for one night. Because of this, I had to go back and forth changing rooms. Additionally, the room itself was different from what was shown; it only had a jacuzzi and a fairly good seaview. Luckily, I only booked one night to see how it was, since the ratings were high. If not for the staff treating me well, I might have given a lower rating than this. Please ensure that the rooms you advertise are accurate, especially since there is no refund and full payment is required. For improvement, please also address the issue of flies and insects while dining at the restaurants and bar. A five-star resort should be better than any stall.

MMeiziMaggieThe hotel is right on Batu Ferringhi beach, offering unparalleled views of the Andaman Sea as soon as you open the window 🌅. The resort grounds are lined with palm trees and tropical gardens – a perfect place to feel relaxed while enjoying the sea breeze and watching the sunset. This time, I booked an Executive Suite: double the space, double the view! * **Spacious:** At 66 square meters, with separate living room and bedroom, there's plenty of room for kids and luggage without feeling cramped. * **Dual Bathrooms:** Two bathrooms mean no more fighting over the toilet for the whole family, making getting ready to go out incredibly efficient! * **270-Degree Panoramic View:** Large floor-to-ceiling windows + a private balcony provide essentially a panoramic view. Whether lying down or standing, you can take in the breathtaking Andaman Sea and tropical garden scenery. **Tons of Kid-Friendly Activities – No Bored Kids Here!** * Outdoors, there's a Splash Zone with slides and a kids' pool where the little ones can spend the whole afternoon. * The indoor Adventure Zone offers large slides and play facilities (air-conditioned, so no worries about the sun!). * The Cool Zone Kids' Club also organizes activities like crafts and kite painting, giving adults a chance to sneak away for a drink. * The hotel has pool games, beach volleyball, and more, keeping the whole family active. **📍 Convenient Location** Turn right when you leave the hotel, and you're at the Batu Ferringhi Night Market, perfect for snacks and souvenirs. Across the street, there's a McDonald's, hawker stalls, and a supermarket. **🎉 Hidden Gems I Discovered Only After Visiting:** Shangri-La Golden Sands Resort is connected to the neighboring Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Resort! * **Interconnected Facilities:** You can freely move between the two hotels and share their leisure facilities. * In just 5 minutes, you can switch from the lively atmosphere of Golden Sands to the upscale colonial charm of Rasa Sayang. * Most importantly, the room rates at Golden Sands are often half that of the Rasa Sayang next door! It's like enjoying the top-tier amenities of both hotels for half the price!

GGuest UserThe room was quite satisfying. The family suite consisted of two rooms, both offering great views and large windows. The rooms were also very tidy. The hotel's breakfast was rich and varied, and the staff were all very friendly, proactively smiling and greeting guests. A particular highlight was the swimming pool's proximity to the beach, which, despite the sand not being super fine, was very convenient in terms of location. The only minor drawbacks were some details that could be improved in this older hotel, such as replacing the towels with fluffier ones, and providing a check-in guide that clearly marks nearby supermarkets, shops, and attractions.
