"Booked on the recommendation of a family member , 1st room on the ground floor was small, cold and had a broken window handle leaving the room unsecured. We said to the reception staff who asked if we wanted moved , we moved to an ”upgraded” room on the top floor which was far better, as we were staying for 3 nights we welcomed the move. Can’t comment on the leisure pool as we didn’t use it, given that we had paid for 3 night’s accommodation I don’t see why I would have to pay to use the pool and use towels! Bar was ok but at times you have to wait for someone to come and serve, the bar also closed at 11pm regardless if you are staying or not. No automatic room service you have to ask
for the room to be cleaned and fresh towels etc.
Many other hotels in the area so don’t think we would return"

Nice, comfortable and very friendly hotel. Huge double bed. All rooms are very clean. A car park is very close to the hotel ( walk out of the hotel door, across the road and your in the carpark.

Guest User酒店非常漂亮，距離海克利爾城堡35分鐘車程。很有歷史感。設施也很好，除了沒有空調，房間有點悶，但這是沒有辦法的事情。酒店旁邊就是廣袤的莊園，草坪、鮮花、樹木都很漂亮，早餐也非常美味。希望有機會再來

StaceyI was a little bit disappointed staying at the Apollo hotel when I booked, i booked it for two adults and one child and when I got there there was only a double bed, they told me they would put in a single bed for me whilst I was out and when I got back to the hotel at 8:30pm there still wasn’t a bed they eventually at 10pm gave me a camp bed with springs missing for my four-year-old to sleep on I wasn’t happy, so in the end I ended up sleeping on the floor so my daughter could have the bed with her dad, it’s a real shame to see a hotel that I stayed in when I got married has gone downhill, there was a lot of dirty trays in the corridors on the way to the room, but on entrance of the hotel was beautiful,

Clx46We stayed for a wedding, perfect location next to the station. Standout was the receptionist - super friendly and helpful, took our bags ahead of checking and allowed us to use the facilities to change for the wedding. Would recommend.

Wasps in window next to dining table - informed staff but they said they couldn't do anything.
Allocated same table for breakfast and asked for a different 1 to be told it was the only table for 2.
Member of staff in charge of the dining room shouting and arguing across the room with the chef. When addressed about it she shrugged her shoulder.

VanessaKWe have stayed at the Leonardo Royal Grand Harbour Hotel for the third time and continue to enjoy consistently wonderful experiences. The hospitality is outstanding, with special thanks to Emily at the front desk for her friendly and professional assistance. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and breakfast offered an excellent variety, supported by attentive staff. A special mention to the lovely silver-haired gentleman with glasses for his exceptional service. Highly recommended. Will surely comeback.

We had an amazing time at Old Thorns Hotel & Resort celebrating my fiancé’s birthday weekend. The whole place is beautiful, the décor is stunning, with lovely pictures throughout that make it feel both homely and luxurious at the same time.
The spa facilities and gym were excellent, and the young guy at the bar was especially friendly and made us some great drinks. The rooms were spacious, the showers were fantastic, and the golf course was beautiful and very well maintained.
The only area I think could use a little improvement is the breakfast selection. There were fruits, bread, yoghurt, eggs, and the usual items for an English breakfast, but after staying more than one night, it would have been nice to have more variety such as pancakes or other breakfast options to switch things up a bit.
I also paid extra for the birthday package. While I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, it did feel a little misleading for the £15 charge, as it mainly included balloons, a very small teddy bear, some chocolates, and a card, which was exactly what was shown in the pictures.
Other than that, everything was perfect and we had a wonderful stay.

CD HuangThe room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was the best I've had during my entire UK trip. The value for money is unbeatable; for this price, you'd only get a 2 or 3-star hotel elsewhere.

The staff here are exceptional, and nothing is too much for them. They are super friendly and willing to help at every opportunity.
The room was bright and spacious and had everything needed for our short stay as a couple with our furry friend in tow.
The hotel is showing signs of needing some TLC in areas but overall it was nice and comfortable and great at the price point.
At 1st parking appeared to be a pain but after liaising with the awesome staff we were given a permit to park on the street. Bonus!
Overall, I would recommend this hotel and say 4-4.5 out of 5 was a good score.
