I spent 4 days and 3 nights at Royale Signature Hotel, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most pleasantly surprising stays in Alor Setar! From check-in to check-out, everything felt smooth and welcoming — the staff genuinely made me feel like a guest, not just a booking number. The room was spacious, bright, and thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials: comfy bed, soft pillows, mini-fridge, and a spot-perfect workspace. The sleep quality was impressive… though, full disclosure, the soundproofing could use an upgrade — I could occasionally hear faint hallway sounds. Nothing deal-breaking, but something to note if you’re a deep sleeper. Location-wise, it’s a winner. Walking distance to Aman Central, local cafés, and Alor Setar Tower made exploring effortless. High floors also offer a lovely city view — perfect for morning coffee or sunset photos. Little touches made my stay memorable: complimentary Wi-Fi that never faltered, modern toiletries, and those small staff gestures that made a difference — smiles, helpful directions, and quick responses whenever I needed something. Overall, Royale Signature Hotel is a great value for a 4-star stay in the heart of the city. Comfortable, convenient, and welcoming — I left feeling rested, happy, and already planning my next visit. Best beach view but like the rest of Langkawi it’s just missing a few things. The family pool is sensational…but it’s pebblecrete, so it’ll tear up feet if you’re in there doing anything active. The pool bar opens at midday, so it’s definitely not set for early swimmers who might want a juice and snack. No lifeguard and almost no kids pool area. The pool was 1.1 to 1.5m deep so not toddler friendly. The rooms were great but limited lift access so a nice 3rd floor view has three flights of stairs. They have a reading room, which is a nice, air-conditioned lounge, but it only opens at 11am. The main restaurant has… average food. It’s not what you’d hope. They have the Chefs Table Restaurant wich was more expensive but actually had good food. It was hot in there though. We went in end of March and it was 32/32 degrees every day. Overall it’s a nice place and close to the mangrove tours but it just falls short of being really good. But that’s pretty much all of Langkawi. Staff were really nice.

Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel also provides free parking, which was very convenient since I had rented a car to explore the island. In terms of accessibility, the hotel is about 20 minutes from Langkawi International Airport and roughly a 10-minute drive to Pantai Cenang, making it easy to reach popular spots while still enjoying a peaceful stay. One thing to note is that there is only a single mini mart within the hotel and the prices are a bit on the higher side. On my first morning, I ordered breakfast through Grab instead, which was still convenient since delivery services can reach the hotel easily. The room floor had some visible stubborn stains and the hotel does not provide room slippers, so you may want to consider bringing your own if you prefer not to walk barefoot in the room. Overall, it’s still a good option for travellers looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Langkawi, especially if you plan to drive around the island.

Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was a bit slow. Despite these minor issues, we still had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back again.

It’s an easy walk to Pantai Cenang, and there are plenty of food options nearby. Overall, while the facilities could use some upgrading, the location and rooftop vibe are definite plus points.

I had a pleasant stay at Purest Hotel overall. The location is very convenient, making it easy to access nearby amenities and get around the area. I also appreciate the team’s prompt response whenever I made a request — the service was efficient and attentive. That said, one area for improvement would be the pigeon situation at the car park, which could be better managed to enhance cleanliness and overall guest experience. With some attention to this, the stay experience would be even better.

This hotel is located right on Central Beach in Langkawi, and our overall stay was quite good. We were so satisfied after the first night that we decided to extend our stay by an extra day. Our initial room was right by a small pool, offering direct access, and it was also close to the beach, with a very pleasant environment and view. When we extended our stay, the hotel moved us to a different room. This new room was a bit further from the beach, and we noticed more mosquitoes. We asked the front desk if they had mosquito coils, but were told we'd have to buy them ourselves, which was a minor inconvenience, though thankfully, we weren't bitten that night. We suspect the room change might be because the poolside room, with its better view, is preferred for new arrivals to enhance their initial experience. The hotel's surroundings are very convenient. Turning right out of the hotel, there's a small shop about 200 meters away where you can buy flip-flops or rent a scooter at a reasonable price, which greatly boosted our convenience and overall happiness during our stay. Just a short walk north along the beach, there's a place that's both a Western restaurant and a bar. In the evenings, they have a fireworks show right outside, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Prices are also very reasonable there; a beer costs around 12 MYR and ice cream is 8 MYR, with most guests being European and American tourists. Enjoying a drink and watching the show with the sound of the waves at night was incredibly relaxing. Finally, let's talk about breakfast. For a hotel in this price range, the breakfast quality is highly commendable. Compared to hotels of a similar price (around 500 RMB) during peak season in Qinhuangdao, China, this hotel offers significantly better value for money. Plus, during the off-season, neither the beach nor the pool gets crowded, allowing for very relaxed swimming and holiday enjoyment. The overall vacation vibe was wonderfully comfortable.

Overall, my stay was great. The pool was nice. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. Great location many food places around, and they're open until late into the night. We also went to the waterpark next door for free. The hotel was clean. They also have really good deals for ATV tours, jet ski tours, and many other fun things to do around the island. I highly recommend this hotel to people. The windows in our room couldn't open so it wasn't the best because I like getting fresh air into my room in the morning. Because the windows couldn't open the room smelled a bit damp and stuffy. The Aircon also made a lot of noise (I struggle falling asleep if there's too much noise).

Really great stay at Holiday Villas, has more than everything you need for a great holiday. The rooms are dated but they are clean and have all the facilities you need. The balconies feel a bit risky for young children so maybe requesting a ground floor room is better. The setting is perfect. The beach is so nice and there are more than enough sun loungers, toilets nearer the beach would be helpful as it is quite a walk for people from the beach. Overall great stay.

The staff here are incredibly welcoming. There's also a car rental company on the ground floor of the hotel, which is super convenient. The hotel facilities are very new, and there's a pool at the back. Plus, each guest gets a complimentary drink upon check-in, with various options to choose from. The only, and I mean *only*, downside is that you can hear cars 'street racing' at night, which is an issue with all hotels in this area, even late at night. There's really nothing to be done about it. I've stayed at many great hotels in Langkawi, but this street racing noise is something that can't be changed.
