The location was fantastic, connected directly to the station, bus interchange and shopping malls. The room was probably the biggest I have stayed at in Japan, which was great when sharing with a friend. The tatami sitting area was great to sit in and enjoy the station view, with the trains coming and going. Was not disturbed by any train noise however. They also gave a sheet noting the times you can view specific train models from your room window. Staff were friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. Would stay here again next time I'm in Akita.
Hotel and rooms are old but still nice. Direct Lake View is great. Unfortunately hotel is profit oriented instead of customer oriented. Be customer focused and profit will follow…. Outside onsen is basic but with nice view. Everything overpriced! (Set Dinner 11 000 Yen !! Choose please! Either you upgrade and can ask these over the top prices, or you leave everything in this very old state, but then do not expect people to pay these rates… Also music in corridor too loud. Wakes up everybody around 6AM…. Only hotel where there was no lounge happy hour with some free drinks and snacks….
A nice hotel. We drove there and parked the car in the hotel car park which is a mechanical car park. Just make sure you’re prepared to quickly remove the luggage you need before the car is stored away for the night. Parking at the nearby car park at ground level would have been about the same price and probably more convenient for us, our fault for not researching properly.
The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is fairly close to the central park and not that far from the train station. There’s a 7 Eleven down the stairs of the hotel.
The hotel has a very good location. Although not immediately next to the JR station, it's a short and easy walk to get to the hotel from Akita Station. When you see the Museum of Art in the photo, you are arriving. Also, the famous Senshū Park is just across from the street.
It's a grand hotel with nice rooms. The staff are friendly and professional.
It's not far from the bar district. There are many interesting bars over there. After a couple of drinks, you can just walk back to the hotel.
About a 7-minute walk from Akita Station, directly opposite Seibu Department Store. It's not far from various city attractions, making dining and transportation convenient. It rained heavily on the day we stayed, and the hotel even provided free umbrellas, which was really great. Breakfast was okay.
From Tazawa Lake Station transfer bus, the hotel is near the bus station, less than three minutes walk, nearby also bike rental, you can cycle along Tazawa Lake for a week, you can also take a bus to the nearby pizza shop, we booked a two-stay, very exquisite and delicious food, and private bath available for reservation
I stayed for three nights to support a corporate baseball tournament. There were about seven parking spaces in front of the hotel, and it was very convenient, even though it was first-come, first-served. There was also parking across the street. The location was great, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Akita Station was about a 10-minute taxi ride away. They also served midnight ramen and provided free bottled juice. The room was clean and comfortable, making it a very nice hotel.
The hotel's location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the JR station. There is a convenience store next to the hotel and dozens of fantastic shops and eateries within a few minutes walking. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was well-appointed and the breakfast varied- excellent coffee too
Some old facilities, but the staff is very enthusiastic and a bit old-fashioned, but I quite like it, very old-fashioned. I am optimistic that the lanterns will return to the hotel. The staff in the lobby are very intimate to prepare tea and towels for everyone. I am very touched. This is now that some new hotels are not very meticulous and warm. Next time I go to Akita, I will consider staying!
The five-person room was a little cramped, but although the room was a bit old, it was very clean.
Dinner and breakfast were both buffet style; the selection wasn't extensive, but the ingredients were fresh and tasty.
There was a free drink bar and popsicles outside the large public bath, and inside the bath, there were children's toys for soaking, which is rare in Japanese hot springs.
Overall, if you plan to visit nearby attractions, it's a great accommodation choice.

Amazing
GGuest UserHighly recommended! The hotel's service begins before check-in, with a detailed check-in process email. In winter, they even arrange luggage cart service, making it convenient whether you're driving or using public transportation. Both meals during my stay were amazing. The hotel was renovated in 2025, and its facilities and services are top-notch in the area.
共共努努A great choice for a snowy day stay, it's close to the station so you don't have to drag your luggage far. The common lounge area has a microwave, disposable amenities, and free drinks and water. Remember to check if your bathrobe is complete; I found one missing during my stay. The self-check-in system is fantastic, perfect for introverts. After 7 PM, the area gets quite dark with not many shops around, so those who prefer a lively atmosphere should consider this carefully.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located near the bus station and has convenient transportation. It is clean and the food is delicious. The boss is very hospitable. Because I don’t speak Japanese, the boss patiently used his mobile phone to translate Japanese into Chinese to communicate with me because I had to catch a flight and the kitchen was ready early. I prepared breakfast. After checking out, the boss told me in translated words that the road outside was slippery in the snow and I had to be careful. It made me feel warm.
GGuest UserThe hotel is really far from the city. It takes 1 hour to transfer to the Shinkansen from Tokyo to take another hour to bus, but the scenery is really beautiful and very quiet, but a bed bug was encountered in the bedding at night, and I was shocked, but the hotel posted a statement that there will be bugs due to the natural environment. It is also harmless. The buffet is very exquisite, with Akita local characteristics, delicious and delicious. The open-air hot springs are also very comfortable, I like it very much, it is worth a visit. The only regret is that in the snow season, the Tangyu Valley was covered by heavy snow and could not be hiking.
AAlly2023We stayed two nights. It was a great experience. Room itself is good, bed is comfortable. Got onsen and free half portion of ramen and rice after 7:30pm, which is a bonus. Ramen is delicious. However, service for a part-time staff (a girl) was bad! This is the first time we experienced such bad service in Japan. First, her greeting was mean and rude, with no smile on her face and kind of ignoring the customer. Second, after we got the room key and get ready to take the elevator, we didn't know the way. She just kept ignoring us which a normal staff would show you the way to the elevator right after finished check-in. Lastly, after we entered into the room, we found out that the toilet seat was loosen. So we went down to the lobby to tell her about these. She was so unhelpful that she did not even want to come up to our room to see what happen, but just tild us to use the toilet in the lobby instead!
At the end, luckily there was another senior full time staff just on duty, we told him about this, and he immediately went up to our room to see what happen. Will give this senior staff a 5 star.
So other than that part-time staff (girl), all were pretty good.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located on a mountain. In late April, the cherry blossoms at the foot of the mountain were in full bloom, but there was still some snow around the hotel. Lake Tazawa in spring, especially on a sunny day, is absolutely stunning; the water is a deep blue, just like the sea. We had great weather during our stay. Every morning after breakfast, we'd take the hotel's shuttle bus to Tazawa-ko Station to catch the Komachi Shinkansen to Kakunodate, Akita, and Morioka to see the cherry blossoms. In the afternoons, we'd take the Shinkansen back to Tazawa-ko Station, then the shuttle back to the hotel for dinner and a hot spring bath. The hotel service was excellent, and considering the price, the food was quite good too!
NNingmengqingThe must-visit cherry blossom and maple viewing place in Akita must be [Kakunodate]. It is also the hometown of samurai with a long history in Japan and is known as ”Olu's Little Kyoto”. But accommodation here is very expensive, especially during the cherry blossom and maple leaf seasons. It is even harder to find a room. During the maple leaf season, I booked a low-cost accommodation four months in advance (Kakunodate B&B Fengya) for ¥996/2 nights including breakfast. So this is one of the few B&Bs. The Japanese female boss speaks English very well and is very enthusiastic. She personally prepares breakfast with local ingredients. She also serves lunch and afternoon tea, and also sells handmade food. The B&B has free bicycle rentals, so you can easily visit all the samurai houses in Kakunokan. Most of the Japanese locals and foreigners who stay here, as well as *********, can speak English. Old people like us from the mainland who cannot speak Japanese or English are purely isolated cases. The landlady was afraid that we might have some problems, so she specially invited Mr. Ren, a retired (Chinese) teacher from Kakunodate University to come and ask us if we had any problems! The boss lady learned that we had to book a taxi to take us to Kakunodate JR Station at 6:30 tomorrow, but the taxi service at Kakunodate starts at 8 o'clock. The boss lady personally took us to the train station despite her busy schedule. I was really touched! However, the B&B does not have a pick-up station service. When we arrived, we took a taxi to the B&B for 800 yen.

YYINFirst of all, I booked this hot spring hotel on Saturday and it cost me 33,600 yuan. I thought I could live in a big room, but everything became a mess after two sleeping mats were laid out at dinner time. We couldn't open our luggage because there was no place, and we had to jump to go to the bathroom because there was no way to go. I was really angry. I booked this hotel because it is a LA VISTA group, but the food, both the ingredients and the taste are worth the price. There are also many snacks, water, Yakult, and fresh milk in the lounge after the hot spring, but there is no juice. This is what I find strange. In addition, we often pass by the counter, and the waiters treat you as air. Anyway, the way of this hotel is to come and go. Just now we checked out and put on our shoes, and they turned around when we said byebye, and didn't even come to the door. Am I really expecting too much?
