Hotels With bar in Suffolk, United Kingdom

It's about 10mins away from train station walking, Clean, nice views if in selected rooms. No one explained about the gym or restaurant so we ask other customers. They said they needed i.d but didn't say this when I had booked it. But I would say this is like a upgraded travel lodge. We will be back to try the food out as didn't know about this before like mentioned. Good location for places like dance east or football

I was greeted by a lovely young lady who made me very welcome. I was struggling with my luggage so she helped me up to the room, it was a great help. The facilities here are amazing, made use of the pool, spa & sauna. Had a relaxing drink in the bar. Haven't eaten here as I am visiting family & been eating with them but the food does smell amazing. My room is a single but is perfect the bed is more queen size than single & very comfy.

The Orwell Hotel is a lovely old Victorian hotel with a slightly surprising dynamic Elephant sculpture at the front. The location was great for me - perfectly between family I was visiting and the beach. I was stayin on the second floor and appreciated being in a quiet location, with a bath, kettle and coffees/teas. The staff at reception were really lovely. Unfortunately, there isn't much water pressure in that room which meant both the shower and the bath took a long time/wasn't very pleasant. I also thought it was odd that someone knocked on my door at 9am on a Saturday to service the room - thankfully I was already awake.

Experience a charming stay @Jockey club rooms, Newmarket (near Cambridge, UK) A truly traditional and sophisticated stay at the Jockey Club Rooms. Our deluxe room overlooked the beautifully kept gardens, and the interiors — especially the Colefax & Fowler fabrics — felt timeless and elegant. The bathroom was enormous, almost larger than the bedroom, and the whole property is filled with classic equestrian art and heritage charm. We enjoyed champagne in the private members’ bar, a rare privilege for overnight guests, and breakfast was exceptional — from eggs Benedict to eggs Royal, kippers, pancakes and more, all served in a grand dining room. Easily the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. The atmosphere is old‑world English tradition at surprisingly accessible prices, with free parking and a perfect High Street location. Ideal for visiting Cambridge or Suffolk — and we loved being able to stroll to Thai Kitchen for dinner. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, history, and understated luxury - all for the price of a room in the Premier inn!

This is the second time we have stayed here and the location is beautiful. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was very slow and the young staff members seem to be more interested in chatting around the bar area. My wife was keen to use the spa facilities included in the price but the sauna was closed, the steam room and jacuzzi were full, as was the pool. Not as good as the first time we stayed 16 months ago, which was disappointing, but the surroundings were still lovely.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely breakfast and lots of choice. Pool was great too! Staff were so kind to my young toddler son he loved staying there!!

From when I first walked into the hotel it felt good, the staff couldn't be any nicer or helpful, the room was a good size and felt cozy, the breakfast and the evening meals were tasty

Impressive old Mill with working wheel featured inside. We were in the top floor of the main building and whilst not the most up to date bedroom accommodation it was clean and comfortable with workable facilities. Really friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast buffet with both continental and full English breakfast options. Would definitely recommend and worked for us due to location to friends and family. Great value for money.

We stayed at hotel whilst having work done in our house. We like the hotel as can take the dog with us. The room we had is in a courtyard, so ground level. A good size room for 2 and a dog. We didnt use too many of hotel facilities as we were trying keep cost down. We have used restaurant and bar before. Enjoyed food. See below for roast dinner had on previous visit. Afternoon tea was really nice. Good patjing facilities but there is some major roadworks near by. We declined to have any housekeeping and got 2 free drinks. Nice grounds and would imagine lovely in summer. Air con now in rooms. A little update of bathroom wouldn't hurt. Seal to show mouldy. Taps, plugs worn. Also cant make out picture content in room 32. Needs to be reviewed!!
