Our family of three was on our way from Hong Kong back to Guangxi when we passed through Yangjiang. With our young baby, we decided to make a last-minute stop to get off the highway and find a hotel for the night. This hotel turned out to be the best value-for-money 5-star hotel we've ever stayed at! The staff at check-in were incredibly friendly. Our room was super spacious, spotlessly clean, and the amenities were complete and comfortable. We'll definitely choose this hotel again if we're ever passing through Yangjiang in the future.
I chose this hotel after having stayed at the Wanda in Jiangmen, and compared to that one, this hotel is much newer, the breakfast is small but exquisite, and the rooms are larger. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but that's not an issue if you're driving. It's very quiet, with mostly business travelers (so it's not as noisy as Wanda with tour groups). Next time I'm in Jiangmen, I'll definitely book this hotel again.

Came to Foshan to buy furniture and stayed at the Sofitel Foshan for the first time. The experience was consistently excellent! Nicole at the lobby was incredibly thoughtful, always greeting me warmly and even proactively helping me plan my route to the furniture markets. The room was spacious and comfortable, with soft, cozy bedding for a great night's sleep. Breakfast offered a rich variety and was delicious. The service was meticulous, and the value for money is outstanding. This will be my top choice next time I visit Foshan!

The White Swan Hotel holds a special place in the hearts of native Guangzhou residents. It was the first five-star hotel in the country and is known as the 'Whampoa Military Academy' of the hotel service industry. Now it's being evaluated for the Forbes Hotel list. Out of my love for hotels, I want to point out some unprofessional behaviors in their service that don't align with international standards. I hope hotel management takes these seriously and improves their service awareness, so as not to tarnish this proud symbol of Guangzhou.
For the past two years, my family and I have booked a two-night stay for the New Year's Eve fireworks. This year, when I booked, I also made reservations a week in advance for three days at the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant. Upon check-in, the front desk only pre-authorized 2,000 yuan. By dinner time on the second day, our charges had exceeded the pre-authorized amount, but the front desk never informed us. It wasn't until midnight that I found a notice slipped under my door, informing me of the excess. Several hours had passed since dinner and going to bed, so why wait until the middle of the night to do this?
First, since I had pre-booked three days of dining at the Michelin-starred restaurant, the front desk should have pre-authorized a higher amount upon check-in to facilitate signing, or at least asked if we had any signing needs. If the first step wasn't handled correctly, then when we settled the bill around 7 PM, we should have been told to go to the front desk to pay an additional deposit, instead of being informed secretly in the middle of the night.
Second, as I'm a coffee drinker, I called guest services for a few coffee capsules. A few minutes after hanging up, the front desk called back and asked, ”Do you have a coffee machine in your room?” I patiently replied that I did. Afterwards, I thought to myself, why would I ask for coffee capsules if I didn't have a coffee machine in my room? With a room rate of six or seven thousand yuan, would I be greedy for a few coffee capsules? This is the first time I've encountered a five-star hotel asking a guest something like this. It makes me wonder if the front desk staff are properly trained before being put on duty. I called to complain about the issue that night, and the person who answered said they would definitely report it and that someone would contact me the next morning. However, by the time I checked out the next day, no one had discussed the issue I raised. This shows a complete lack of concern for customer feedback, only superficial responses, and no attempt to resolve or improve things. I'm writing this in hopes that management will see it. It's normal for issues to arise in a hotel, but the ability to acknowledge and resolve them is what distinguishes a professional hotel.
I'd like to specially commend the hotel's housekeeping staff; every one of them was enthusiastic and professional. They worked hard during the New Year. The concierge staff were also very professional and proactive, especially Zhang Wenling, whose professional, proactive, enthusiastic, and thoughtful service made guests feel very welcome. The restaurant staff were also very proactive and attentive, highly commendable! 👍🏻

Guangzhou Airport Hotel | A perfect 5-star review! The top choice for airport transits/early morning flights.
I wholeheartedly recommend Guangzhou Airport Hotel; it's the best accommodation around Baiyun Airport, and my entire experience exceeded expectations!
The hotel's location is superb, right next to Baiyun Airport, offering 24-hour complimentary shuttle service on demand. The driver was punctual and friendly, so there's no need to rush even with luggage. It only takes a few minutes to get from the hotel to the terminal, which is incredibly convenient for those catching early flights or arriving late at night.
The front desk service was warm and efficient, with quick check-in and check-out. The staff were kind and always willing to help, paying great attention to small details. The room was clean, tidy, and spacious, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing was excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, with new facilities. The overall decor was simple yet elegant, making for a very pleasant stay.
The amenities are comprehensive; the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and there were plenty of convenient dining choices nearby. It perfectly meets everyday needs. It's suitable for business travelers, transit passengers, or simply for a temporary stopover.
It offers incredible value for money, with excellent service, environment, and location. I give it a full five-star recommendation! I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I fly from Guangzhou!

The environment and kids' facilities are great! The staff are very polite, and there were even some small activities during Chinese New Year that the kids really enjoyed. On the second night, we were upgraded to a twin-bed room with a hot tub in area B, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. Xinghu Lake is right behind the hotel, and it's a short walk to Qianyan Village where there are many restaurants and small bars. Dining and having coffee by the lake is very relaxing!
Even though there was a small incident, the hotel staff were quick to help resolve it. The service was excellent and very thoughtful!

This Chinese New Year, instead of joining the bustling crowds, I chose to stay at the Sofitel Guangzhou Sunrich for a peaceful, introspective getaway. I brought my family along to celebrate the New Year here. Outside, there might have been fireworks, but inside, it was just the quiet comfort of books and warm tea. In this non-stop world, sometimes being able to simply zone out for a bit, or slowly enjoy a cup of tea without rushing, is truly something to celebrate. The New Year doesn't have to be about hectic travel and exhaustion; it can be about finding peace within yourself, and in a warm space, hearing your inner 'Happy New Year.' This Spring Festival, staying at the Sofitel felt like stepping into a warm, open, and inviting hotel. The New Year activities in the lobby were a big hit with guests, and the free couplet writing was a really creative touch. Mia at the front desk was also incredibly, incredibly enthusiastic with her service.

The old brand definitely delivers! The room was incredibly spacious with amazing views. As soon as I arrived, the concierge was there to help with my luggage, and I was greeted with welcome fruits. Breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious. Elena and Yulia were very attentive; they even contacted me in advance to confirm my arrival time before I got to the hotel. I also enjoyed an essential oil spa, and Lisa was very professional and gentle, making it a wonderful experience. It's definitely worth a visit, and I'll be back if I get the chance!

Amanda at the front desk was super nice during check-in! The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, within walking distance to the subway and shopping areas. The room was spotless, the bedding soft for a great night's sleep, and the front desk service was quick and thoughtful. Excellent value for money, definitely my top choice for future trips! The hygiene details were impeccable! The bathroom had no strange odors, no hair on the bedding, and the facilities were new and functional. Plenty of hot water and stable WiFi. The service was unobtrusive yet always available when needed, making for a super comfortable stay! This stay exceeded my expectations! The environment was quiet, not noisy at all, with excellent soundproofing, and the breakfast was varied and fresh. The staff provided smiling service throughout, making me feel right at home. Highly recommended!

KKaltsit. My stay at Shenzhen MO was absolutely perfect! I have to give a special shout-out to Ms. Tipo, who was incredibly warm and attentive. She gave us a detailed room tour and offered fantastic travel recommendations throughout our two-day stay – so thoughtful! All the staff were very friendly, creating a wonderful service atmosphere. The location is super convenient, close to UpperHills and a park, which was great for traveling with seniors. The executive room and lounge offered stunning views, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and the turndown service had great attention to detail. I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Shenzhen!
XXiajiaboboBefore checking in, there was absolutely no communication, and even after checking in, it felt like we had no connection to the hotel. There truly wasn't much in the way of service, which felt a bit impersonal. However, whenever we called the front desk with a request, the hotel's response was quite satisfactory. For instance, our room only had one tissue box, which clearly wasn't enough, but after one call, they promptly delivered two more. It felt like our needs were always met.
The hotel room absolutely *must* be a TV Tower view room; the advantage over suite-level rooms and below is significant—the view is simply incredible. The hotel's location is also excellent, with direct access to K11 from the first floor, making shopping very convenient.
I also have to mention that breakfast was outstanding. The presentation was exquisite, the taste delicious, and the service was quick and responsive. It definitely deserves high praise, though I recommend avoiding peak times if possible, as you'll surely have to queue.
Furthermore, on New Year's Eve, we were planning to go out for dinner, but our child got hungry. We only ordered a single portion of fries at the Western restaurant, but the server was very enthusiastic and even brought complimentary bread, which was absolutely delicious.
Aside from the slightly lacking service experience, everything else exceeded expectations. The breakfast could even rank among the top three of all the hotels I've stayed at. Keep up the great work!

GGuest UserOur stay at the Hengqin Bay Hotel completely exceeded our expectations – it definitely deserves a perfect score! The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were immediately struck by the luxurious atmosphere, perfectly blended with an ocean theme. The high vaulted ceilings and dynamic dolphin sculptures made us feel like we were in a dreamlike underwater world. The staff were incredibly warm and professional, meticulously explaining everything from luggage storage to shuttle details. The hotel's location is superb; it’s a mere 10-minute walk straight to Ocean Kingdom, and there are free shuttle buses available, making transportation hassle-free for families with kids. Our room was clean and spacious with stable Wi-Fi, a balcony, a bathtub, and all the essentials like a kettle and mini-fridge. The executive lounge, gym, pool, mother-and-baby room, and self-service laundry room cover almost every family's needs. Plus, every staff member greeted us with a smile, which was a lovely personal touch. The hotel is so huge, we didn't even get to explore it all! We'll definitely be back! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and highly recommended! If you're looking for a comfortable and conveniently located hotel, this is truly an excellent choice. We'll return if we get the chance!
GGuest UserI originally meant to book the Meilihao near Aoyuan, but accidentally booked the wrong place. This hotel is excellent – quiet and comfortable, with a rich breakfast and attentive service. A special shout-out to Tangtang 👍. There's always someone at the entrance to open car doors and help with luggage.
GGuest UserThe facilities are excellent, with voice-activated smart controls. The environment is great, and the service is incredibly warm and welcoming! ❤️🔥 The lobby has a wonderful festive atmosphere, perfect for the New Year. They even offered complimentary coffee ☕️. The hotel is conveniently located near major shopping malls like Zhengjia Plaza, Taikoo Hui, and TeeMall, all within walking distance. Popular attractions like Beijing Road and Chen Clan Ancestral Hall are just a 20-minute ride away. Plus, there's a subway station right downstairs, which is super convenient! 👍❤️ The room was also very spacious and clean!
GGuest UserThe Chimelong Penguin Hotel in Zhuhai is a top choice for family trips, with its biggest advantages being its direct connection to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and its immersive penguin theme. Its downsides include outdated facilities, overcrowding during peak times, and fluctuating value for money. The latest guest feedback from 2026 indicates that choosing the right package and avoiding peak seasons can significantly enhance the experience.
Key Advantages (Must-Haves):
1. **Unbeatable Location, Maximizing Fun:** A 3–5 minute walk to Ocean Kingdom, guests enjoy an exclusive pass + 1-hour early entry, meaning less waiting for popular attractions. After watching the fireworks, you can walk straight back to your room, avoiding traffic jams.
2. **Impeccable Family-Friendly Atmosphere and Amenities:** From the lobby sculptures to room bedding and toiletries, everything features a penguin theme. A full range of children's amenities is available (safety rails, bottle sterilizers, potty seats, etc.). Staying multiple nights without housekeeping allows you to receive a growth gift box.
3. **Unique Dining Experience:** The Emperor Penguin Buffet Restaurant features a central penguin enclosure, allowing you to watch emperor penguins parade while you dine. Food is replenished promptly, catering to both northern and southern palates.
4. **Flexible Services and Packages:** The front desk proactively offers travel guides, and luggage storage is free upon check-out. The 3-day, 2-night package often includes unlimited entry to both parks + breakfast, offering better value than booking separately.
SSuosuolanqiesuiyiFacilities: What attracted me to this hotel was its pet-friendly nature, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. Upon check-in, a pet-friendly gift bag contained some useful items, and the cleaning staff were incredibly attentive and helpful in cleaning up any messes our dog made.
Service: When we first placed the order, we discovered that our room type didn't have a TV. Later, when the butler confirmed the booking, I mentioned that we were traveling with children and that the kids would enjoy watching movies in the evenings. The butler assured us they would do their best to arrange a TV, and they did indeed arrange it for us upon check-in – a pleasant surprise! Also, when we checked out, we forgot some items, and the butler collected everything and contacted us via WeChat to confirm if we needed them mailed back. It was truly a thoughtful, attentive, and warm service experience. Highly recommended! 👍
Cleanliness: The room was clean, and the air purifier prevented any unpleasant odors. One area for improvement was the shower water pressure, which was a bit too gentle. A stronger water pressure would have made the showering experience much better. 😄
As a family of five with furry friends, we would definitely come back for a second visit. The Ayana community is indeed a great place to relax and unwind.
GGuest UserThis has to be the best value-for-money five-star hotel in Guangzhou, it's absolutely fantastic! It's incredible that I could stay at an InterContinental property in a first-tier city for just a few hundred yuan during New Year's Day.
Many of the negative reviews online are probably from people with overly high expectations. And for out-of-town visitors, it is indeed a bit out of the way; aside from the hotel, there isn't a single other dining option on the island, and even a convenience store requires a 1km walk. However, for a pure relaxation getaway, this place is truly amazing! 👍 The front desk even upgraded me to a suite, which was a fantastic perk! 👍
The breakfast offers a wide variety, and it was a pleasant surprise to see them offering pig trotters in ginger and vinegar for the first time, haha.
The lobby is huge, but it's a bit funny that there isn't even a single sofa.
The room's hardware is excellent. At night, you have a direct view of Zhujiang New Town, with the Canton Tower practically within reach, just across the river. The vibrancy and tranquility coexist without disturbing each other; I truly enjoyed this peaceful oasis in the midst of the bustling city.
The toilet is smart but doesn't have a heating function, which I found a bit puzzling 🥲.
The room is very spacious, but some corners show significant wear and tear, perhaps indicating it's a bit older?
Overall, this was an incredibly good value experience, highly recommended!

YYyy1cantOn vacation in Shenzhen, I missed my return flight. For the first few days, I stayed at the Kaisa Marriott (far from the airport, by the sea), but I didn't want to travel back and forth and risk missing another flight. So, I found a nice hotel nearby. I have to say, the Four Seasons Shenzhen truly lives up to its name. When I checked in, the front desk attendant was incredibly friendly and approachable, which was a refreshing change from the cold, robotic service at some other hotels – definitely worth praising. Then there's the lobby, the natural light is absolutely unbeatable! There's a grand piano next to the bar, and we happened to see someone playing it. The soft sunlight streaming in made for a truly delightful scene, giving me an excellent first impression of the hotel. As for the room, I was very pleased with the fantastic sound quality of the speakers and the superb view. Although it wasn't on a high floor (I personally prefer staying in very tall hotels), the high-rises opposite perfectly conveyed the hustle and bustle of Shenzhen. The hotel's location is also excellent; the Ritz is directly opposite the Four Seasons, it's only about ten kilometers from the airport, and there's a pedestrian street right next door, making it incredibly convenient to go anywhere. Around 10 PM, we had a few cocktails at the lobby bar, and the atmosphere was super chill. Now, for some minor suggestions after listing the pros. First, the lobby bar closes way too early! It stops service at 11 PM. The front desk attendant even joked, ”I also think drinks should be enjoyed until the early morning hours.” I hope the bar can stay open until midnight so we can relax, chat, and enjoy the Shenzhen vibe a bit longer. Also, I hope the doormen can be a bit more attentive. Since there were four of us arriving in a business van, and each of us had luggage, I wished the doorman would react more quickly and have two more people help with our bags, instead of just one person deliberating on how to carry all our luggage. But these are minor issues. All in all, this Four Seasons experience was a quintessential luxury hotel stay. I hope the hotel continues to strive and maintain the Four Seasons' reputation and service. I look forward to even more delightful surprises on my next stay.
