Wyndham肇庆 is perfect for families with kids! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bedding is so comfortable. The play area is amazing and kept the kids entertained for hours. The staff are incredibly patient with children and always willing to help. The pool and restaurants are really convenient, and it's right next to a shopping area and attractions, making it ideal for a family vacation. It's a 10/10 experience! The lake-view room offers stunning views of the Seven Star Crags and the lake right from the window. Waking up to birdsong in the morning and watching the sunset in the evening is incredibly therapeutic. The room facilities are complete, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the service is meticulous and thoughtful. Sitting on the balcony, sipping tea and enjoying the view is an absolute dream. This is definitely the place to go for relaxation!

The environment is great, and the staff are mostly young, professional, and have a good service attitude. However, I felt the communication about the package services could be better. I booked the room, and my friend arrived first, but it seemed she wasn't aware of the photography, drinks, and entertainment included in the package. When I arrived, I was only told that the entertainment needed to be booked in advance and couldn't be done online, which was quite inconvenient. Another minor issue was that the tissues in the hotel were very thin, which wasn't a great experience. Although the hotel is a bit secluded, you can still order takeout, and it even gets delivered right to your door. I recommend 'Jindi'. The breakfast stands out from other buffet breakfasts, but the overall taste was just average; there's room for improvement.

Huge thanks to the front desk staff for patiently helping me switch rooms. I had some personal preferences for the room, and they did their best to accommodate them, even upgrading my room, which was wonderful. However, the bed was quite firm, and the duvet cover fabric felt a bit stiff and rough to the touch, not very smooth. I wonder if it's an issue from washing? As for the wet and dry sauna experience: I didn't dare go into the pool because there was no lifeguard present.

We stayed at this hotel during the New Year's Day holiday with our child for a trip to Chimelong. It included a 'one-pass' entry to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom (and the Chimelong show), so it offered decent value for money. The hotel service was pretty standard. When we arrived by car, a valet immediately greeted us, helped with our luggage, and directed us to the parking garage. The lobby was quite distinctive, clearly showcasing typical Chimelong amusement park elements. There were a lot of people checking in, but a welcome dance kept my daughter entertained during the wait, which she really enjoyed. Our room faced the ocean and the dolphin pool, allowing us to watch the dolphin show up close. Getting to Ocean Kingdom was convenient with a ferry shuttle, taking about ten minutes. There were many attractions; my daughter especially loved the sea lion surfing bumper boats and the ice cream. The Whale Shark Exhibit was also very popular with kids, and it's the largest aquarium in Asia! I brought my son here ten years ago, and it was quite impressive then too. We watched the Chimelong parade and fireworks show for two nights, which made the ticket price feel worthwhile! Compared to ten years ago, the Chimelong show felt a little less thrilling and adventurous, but they've added more video games and popular cartoons that kids love, which was still a good choice. Hotel dining was available at all times, but the food quality was just average and definitely needs improvement. Overall, it was still a great experience, and the trip was well worth it!

The welcome coffee offered by the hotel can be redeemed for a latte, Americano, or hot milk. The room style is quite new and unique, and there's a subway station downstairs, making it convenient for getting around. They even gave us a free room upgrade. The service was very thoughtful. Happy Hour (Cocktails): The cocktails were great. Exclusive Double [Coffee] Special Coffee Drink Voucher: The Americano was good. I would definitely book this place again next time.

Came to Foshan to buy furniture and stayed at the Sofitel Foshan for the first time. The experience was consistently excellent! Nicole at the lobby was incredibly thoughtful, always greeting me warmly and even proactively helping me plan my route to the furniture markets. The room was spacious and comfortable, with soft, cozy bedding for a great night's sleep. Breakfast offered a rich variety and was delicious. The service was meticulous, and the value for money is outstanding. This will be my top choice next time I visit Foshan!

As China's first five-star hotel, the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou is more than just a place to stay; it's a legend etched into the city's memory. Located on Shamian Island by the riverside, it overlooks the Bai'etan Lake and the Pearl River. Its century-old European-style architecture blends elegantly with traditional Lingnan gardens. Since its opening in 1983, it has hosted heads of state from over a hundred countries and is listed as a 20th-century architectural heritage site. This rich heritage is something no other hotel in Guangzhou can replicate.

My stay at Hilton this time was very satisfying. The room's decor created a sense of luxury, and the lighting and bedding were both comfortable and showed thoughtful attention to detail. The floor-to-ceiling windows brought the city closer to the room, allowing me to sunbathe while overlooking the streetscape during the day and enjoy the dazzling city lights at night. The guest relations manager was enthusiastic and attentive, doing their best to provide service that met my needs. The only downside was that the hotel has central heating, and the in-room air conditioning couldn't be controlled, so it always felt quite warm.

This was my first time staying at a Shangri-La hotel, and honestly, it wasn't as good as I'd imagined. The complimentary water in the room was Ice Dew, and there were only two bottles. That's incredibly stingy. For a five-star brand hotel, you'd expect at least Nongfu Spring or Wahaha. They're cutting costs to the point of no return. The last time I encountered Ice Dew in a five-star hotel was at the Gran Meliá Xi'an, about seven or eight years ago. I also tried the hotel's spa, and the price definitely didn't match the service. The woman at the front desk was also the masseuse, and frankly, her technique was very unprofessional. I ended the session early because of it. I would absolutely never choose it again. A good spa should add value and reputation to a hotel's brand. This one felt like it was outsourced. I'm guessing they charge too much for rent, and without making a profit, they just end up trying to fleece guests. I definitely won't choose it again.

Our last stop was the St. Regis, the tallest hotel in the world, and also the tallest in Shenzhen. Facing Hong Kong, it gave off a nostalgic vibe. The toilet wasn't electric, but an old-fashioned one that felt cold when you sat on it, and the hairdryer was also an old model. The room lighting was a nightmare to control 😤. However, for TV *******, you could even binge-watch in the bathroom! It's a shame that the 100th floor is now exclusively for Super Marriott VIPs (I guess I'll have to earn millions before I'm eligible 😅). Just looking at photos of the top floor's architectural beauty makes me regret why I booked three nights here. I really miss the previous two hotels (where I only stayed two nights). Thankfully, the floor-to-ceiling window offered beautiful day and night views. I called for the robot to deliver water, and it was so cute and polite! It could even control the elevator. We kept pressing the close button, thinking the old elevator was broken, but it turned out the robot needed to come in and remotely control the elevator to enter and select its floor. I guess I'm behind the times 😅. The hotel was packed with guests, pretty much at full capacity, as it's in the city center. KKMALL is right downstairs, so they only provided milk, tea, coffee, and water, with welcome fruit on the first day. For our last stop, of course, we had to check out the hotel's restaurants. We had a light meal at the cafe. Although it was expensive, we could enjoy both sunrise and sunset views, along with the intricate architectural aesthetics. We also tried the Italian restaurant on the 99th floor. The set meal was quite generous, so much so that we needed a night walk to help digest it. For our last night, we opted for the buffet dinner. The oysters were huge, both cooked and raw, and there was also hotpot. It was my first time cooking my own lobster and large crab claws, and also my first time trying caviar yogurt – absolutely delicious! The creamy, non-alcoholic cocktail was also fantastic. Guangzhou's expensive hotels just don't have this level of quality. Highly recommend! 👍

AAnonymous UserI visited with my two kids for a weekend. The lobby is on the 95th floor, and the service at the front desk and in the corridors was excellent, especially the concierge. My friend arrived earlier and was checking in upstairs. I pulled up to the hotel entrance with my younger child, and a polite young man from the concierge team immediately helped me with my luggage without me even having to get out of the car. My friend's family could then come down and head out for afternoon tea, which was incredibly convenient and efficient. I heard that the windows with a side view of Canton Tower are quite small, and since we were going to the 107th floor for drinks in the evening, I opted for a room with a large window facing IFC, where we enjoyed the sunset 🌅. Compared to my friend's family of three who stayed in a Rosewood Residence apartment suite, the apartment had a better view and, because the room was larger, offered a panoramic vista. However, apartment guests have breakfast on a different floor than hotel guests, though they can pay extra to eat the hotel breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was exquisite, but I do have to complain about the server that day. After we had already gotten our food, it took quite a while for her to bring us the menu to order dishes like eggs Benedict and waffles. And she served later-arriving guests before us. Since I was alone with two kids, I initially forgot about it, but by the time the menu came, the kids were already full and couldn't eat anything else from it. This was the only disappointing part of our stay. The breakfast server had a cold demeanor and wasn't very welcoming. I would have given full marks for service otherwise, but she definitely cost a point. Besides noodles and congee, there were also dumplings, which the kids loved. I personally thought their congee and noodles were particularly delicious – perhaps I drank a bit too much the night before 😄. The swimming pool was not crowded and had three separate areas. The service there was also very enthusiastic, and the children had a wonderful time. During check-in, the housekeeper on our floor was exceptionally thoughtful. She proactively brought extra towels, bathrobes, slippers, and toothbrushes, whereas at other hotels, you usually have to call to request these. She even asked if I needed anything else – a big thumbs up for her! Once the kids were asleep in the evening, my girlfriend and her husband and I enjoyed listening to music and having a few drinks and a chat on the 107th floor. This rare opportunity for drinks was precisely why we chose the Rosewood and why it's the perfect choice when traveling with kids 😄.

HHuaxu24When checking in, our room wasn't ready yet because the previous guests had a late check-out. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful; they immediately gave us a king-size room to rest in, on the same floor, saving us the hassle of going up and down. They even brought the room key up to us, and the next day, we received a complimentary fruit platter. A special shout-out to the young lady at the front desk who checked us in that day – her service attitude was exceptional, and she resolved issues very quickly! The room was very spacious, and the smart amenities were quite advanced. There's a Cantonese tea house restaurant on the 5th floor, and it's near a digital mall. Plus, the subway is just 300 meters to the right when you exit, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.

GGuest UserOur family's stay at the Penguin Hotel far exceeded our expectations – it's absolutely perfect for families with kids! The staff were warm and professional, providing excellent service from check-in to check-out, always quick to resolve any issues. The hotel's exterior is very distinctive, with eye-catching penguin-shaped towers and a colorful aurora-inspired facade that perfectly captures an Arctic ocean vibe, truly beautiful. Our room was filled with charming penguin-themed decor, feeling cozy and playful. They even provided kid-sized slippers and toothbrushes, which was a thoughtful touch. The children's amenities were comprehensive: a bed rail, kids' bathrobes in the closet, and a thoughtful step stool and child toilet seat in the bathroom – every detail showed how much they care for their little guests. The Emperor Penguin Buffet Restaurant was an even bigger surprise; not only could we dine while watching adorable penguins, but the food selection was incredibly rich, featuring both Chinese and Western cuisine, plus a huge variety of desserts. Our concierge even sent us the park show times, and she was always there to help with any questions. After a day of fun, we didn't have to rush around; we could quickly return to the hotel to rest, and our child could recharge for the next day's adventures. Whether it's a family trip or a gathering with friends, we'll definitely choose the Penguin Hotel again next time.

GGuest UserThe Aranya YIN Hotel is located in the heart of the European Town area at the foot of the Jiulong Lake project. It's an all-suite hotel with a limited number of rooms, approximately ten, reportedly designed by a Korean designer. First, the rooms are spacious, with varying sizes and layouts for the same price of 50, 60, or 70 (this difference can be seen on the Aranya app). Second, the rooms are clean, with no obvious unhygienic spots. Third, the room comes with an Audio-Technica record player and one or two vinyl records (although they're Taylor Swift, which I'm not a big fan of). Thankfully, there's also a Marshall speaker with Bluetooth connectivity. There's also a complimentary tea set and tea leaves, and a Nescafe capsule coffee machine with four capsules. Fourth, its location in the heart of town, coupled with two French balconies, ensures a great view (see Figure 4). However, this experience also revealed some shortcomings: First, the signs were unclear. Cars are prohibited on the town's core streets, but there were no clear signs around the perimeter of the town. I had no idea where to park or the hotel entrance, and there was no staff to guide me. I could only grope around, gazing at the hotel's spire. Finally, after asking three town staff members driving electric carts, I was able to park in front of the Princess Hotel. Then, I dragged my suitcases through the Princess Hotel lobby before I found the YIN Hotel. Second, the room design and layout were strange. First, there was no TV. This also relates to my subsequent complaints about the service, which I'll discuss later. Actually, I hadn't considered a TV important at other hotels because I had various evening tours. But at Jiulong Lake, there were no cultural activities in the evening (which is a key characteristic of the Aranya brand). After diving in the sea and having two beers, I returned to my room at around 8:00 AM and realized there was no TV. It was a bit boring. Secondly, the shower had no sink or water barrier, so a lot of water flowed into the dry area of the bathroom. And this is a Korean designer? (See Figure 8). Third, the service experience was quite poor. These included: ① When checking in, I was on the first floor. My wife was in a hurry to get to the room, so I took the room card and went up first (thank you to the front desk for making this easy). Unexpectedly, the cleaning staff member who had been in the same elevator with my wife entered the room before us and headed straight for the bathroom. For some reason, they looked around and muttered, ”No one,” before leaving without even turning back. They didn't even explain to my wife, leaving me completely bewildered and nervous. As I went upstairs, my wife was nervously yelling, ”Who's there?” ② The lack of a TV in the room and the hotel's handling of the situation were even more surprising. We've also been to the Anaya Anlan Hotel in Beidaihe. Because the rooms are large and have a vertical living room design, a wall-mounted TV would be too far from the bed, so they built a low TV wall in the middle of the living room to accommodate the TV. Since I couldn't find a TV in my room at the YIN Hotel, I specifically checked the Ctrip website, which also mentioned basic amenities like a TV. After finding nothing, I called the front desk, which led to the most ridiculous experience of the time: The front desk succinctly stated that most rooms at this hotel didn't have TVs, with only a few family rooms having them. OK, while that didn't align with the hotel's promotional message (which emphasized audiovisuals and included a dedicated theater), I could accept that. If it didn't have one, then it didn't. But I asked the front desk, ”This hotel has been around for a while, haven't any customers complained about it being a basic feature like a TV?” The answer was no. Well, I can only assume this request is sufficiently personalized and age-appropriate. Still not giving up, I mentioned the Ctrip website listing and asked if I could use the theater. And then something magical happened: at 8:42 PM, I checked the Ctrip hotel page and saw ”LCD TV” (see Figure 5). At 8:53 PM, I followed the Ctrip page to get the hotel's phone number (see Figure 6). At 9:20 PM, I checked the hotel's Ctrip page again, and the ”LCD TV” listing had vanished (see Figure 7). Did the hotel ignore the customer's odd comments? Or did they care enough to revise the website overnight? I suspect the hotel, firstly, saw my poor experience and secondly, felt guilty about the equipment page issue. They sent staff to appease me twice, providing a bottle of fruit wine and snacks in the evening (we skipped the wine because we'd already had it in the sea, and had a packet of snacks). In the morning, they brought a packed breakfast (which consisted of bread and fruit). It's not uncommon for a 2,000 yuan suite to not include breakfast; many hotels charge different prices with or without breakfast, but the key point is that I couldn't book a room with breakfast in the first place). They also gave me an extra set of hotel toiletries when I left. We felt the staff's genuine desire for a good experience, but the Korean designer's lack of practicality and the hotel operator's overnight revisions to the website are truly lamentable. In summary, the YIN is a good place to stay, but there's still much room for improvement in both its hardware and software.

AAndy❣️Guangzhou HUALUXE Hotel & Resort Canton Island: A Healing Getaway on a River Cruise, with Both Detail and Quality Online! This time I brought my family to check in at the Guangzhou HUALUXE Hotel & Resort Canton Island, an IHG property, and I was instantly a fan! As a riverside resort hidden on Bioland Island, from the moment we stepped into the hotel, we experienced a luxury that far exceeded our expectations. It's definitely a hidden gem for a vacation in Guangzhou~ The exterior design of the hotel is absolutely stunning! It looks like a luxury cruise ship docked by the river, incredibly distinctive. The triangular atrium in the lobby, combined with the lighting effects, gives it a full sense of technology and art. There are also rare bird elements scattered around, making it feel like you've stumbled into a 'birdsong and fragrant flowers' secret garden. Every photo taken there is picture-perfect. Our river-view room was an even bigger surprise; it was spacious and bright, with a huge viewing balcony. In the evening, we enjoyed the breeze and watched the sunset, even catching a glimpse of the Canton Tower in the distance – pure bliss. The room facilities were comprehensive, with a separate walk-in closet, smart toilet, and a river-view bathtub, all exuding quality. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. The tranquil environment of Bioland Island ensured a particularly peaceful night's sleep. The dining experience was the highlight! Bailu Xuan Western Restaurant

GGuest UserThe Four Seasons Shenzhen is truly one of the best hotels in the city. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive staff. Rachel, who assisted us during check-in, was exceptionally kind and helpful. Upon learning that we were in Shenzhen to celebrate our anniversary, she kindly upgraded our room and arranged a beautiful surprise with rose decorations and a cake. Thank you to the Four Seasons team for making our anniversary so special and memorable. The hotel is conveniently located near subway stations and Coco Park, making it very easy to get around. We initially planned to stay for three nights, but due to the hotel’s excellent location, comfort, and outstanding service, we decided to extend our stay by an additional two nights. The Four Seasons is now our top choice in Shenzhen, and we will definitely stay here again on our next visit. The only disappointment during our stay was the limited minibar selection, and the fact that soft drinks were charged. This did not quite meet our expectations for a five-star hotel.
