Hotels With Pools in Quintana Roo, Mexico

We stayed at 3 hotels on the island two of them a bit more established but this was by far our favorite. So much so we checked into another hotel just for the experience and didn’t even stay the night because we felt so comfortable at Soho.. It is far away from the center about a mile and a half which makes it a nice walk each night. My husband is a functioning insomniac and had the best sleep he’s ever had in the past 15 years in the bed there. The breakfast is SUPERIOR!! Josamar and Berna were so accommodating thru out our stay I’ve travelled many places and leaving here I shed a few tears because it was an absolute paradise. The whole staff is there to make you happy. And to anyone who complained about the restaurant being overpriced and not offering enough options. They live off the land , serve food from the land and put love into their cooking so understand that . Holbox holds a dear place in our heart now and that wouldn’t be the case without staying at Soho Boutique Mucho Gracias to the whole staff.

This hotel is in a safe area and doesn't offer all-inclusive. I was out on tours all day, so I really only used it for sleeping. Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hairdryer. The hairdryer had great power, which was a huge plus. They provide two bottles of water daily; additional bottles cost extra, so I'd recommend heading to the supermarket for more. If you're in a hurry, you can get free water at the gym on the 4th floor. Toothbrushes and other similar items aren't provided. The pool is quite shallow, though I didn't actually use it. There's a large supermarket nearby, so I'd advise using that. There's no kitchen, so self-catering isn't an option.

My wife and I had an unforgettable and wonderful experience at NYX Hotel. The hotel's warm and hospitable experience made me extremely excited. Every delicious meal leaves me at a loss as to what to choose. The restaurant works very late every day, allowing guests to have a meal at any time. It is particularly worth mentioning that the front desk staff, Aejandro and Olivcr, helped me with everything. You know, I don't speak English, let alone Spanish. When there was a problem with the one-day tour I booked with the travel agency, Aejandro made many calls for me and helped me solve the problem. I want to thank these two handsome Mexican lads! Next time I come, I will still choose NYX!

The room was quite spacious, but clearly very old. Even with a 'sea view' room, if it's located in an unfavorable part of the building, you'll only catch a glimpse of the sea in the distance. The hotel's beach was spotless, no seaweed in sight, and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Breakfast was a buffet with a decent variety, though the taste was just average; my favorite dish, surprisingly, was the oatmeal cooked with milk.

I've been to dozens of Cancun all-inclusive resorts but there is no place like Temptation. We are American Asians in our late 20's and had a total blast at this place. Vibe- high energy party vibe with sexy employees and a topless optional pool. A totally carefree and relaxed environment for couples to getaway. Food- I read mixed reviews on food, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and options of food available! I had plenty of amazing dishes to try everyday. I loved their steak burger, octopus, shrimp cocktail, sushi and more. Drinks- also pleasantly surprised that there were a TON of choices and quality options like Don Julio, black label and more. Service- excellent service as you can expect from all inclusive hotels. I would give a shout-out to POLO who works the quiet pool bar. Everyone else was friendly and helpful too. Entertainment- yes to the SHE restaurant. Have a 5 star quality meal while watching talented dancers work the stage and pole. What an experience! Everyday in the late afternoon there is a show at the pool, and they are funny AF but very naughty. The crowd loved it and were totally down. Tips and Notes -its a naughty place. Sensual and sexual themes, smells, vibes are pervasive. There are attractive couples of all ages, many who may be open to naughty experiences together. Of course everything is up to you and everyone is respectful. But anything goes here, as long as it's in your own room. -tip everyone. It will enhance the workers life and enhance your service as well! -in bash tower balcony rooms you may see couples putting on a ”show”. We wanted to see something crazy so we booked this room and sure as heck, we saw plenty of action! -bash tower rooms give you access to the rooftop pool and hot tubs. Great for lunch and to getaway from the rowdy sexy pool. -bash night club is always poppin. It's an outdoor Vegas style club with a huge bar, led stage and amazing nightly performances from talented dancers. Don't miss it! -2 to 5 nights is sufficient here, or you might get partied out -there is a timeshare type of pitch at the beginning, we didn't do it but that's up to you. You get some freebies and there's no commitment so just depends on your time. -while there's a fair amount of younger people, the average is definitely in the 40s. I do wish there were more Asians at the resort as it skews white/Hispanic. They should make the prices on trip.com better in order to boost the Asian demographic presence. That's my only suggestion!

Standout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

The hotel is huge, making it easy to get lost. Dinner requires reservations, and the only slot we could get was for 9:30 PM in one of the halls, as all others were fully booked. We ate at the buffet for both days, and it was excellent. The buffet restaurant is located in the adjacent Royal Hall. The room's ambiance was great, but there were no sea-view rooms available when we checked in. The central air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy; we couldn't sleep the first night. We turned it off on the second night, and it wasn't hot or humid, so we slept very well.

We have been staying at this hotel for many years as a family and we absolutely love it. Super clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and great location. The hotel is located within a little bay next to Punta Nizuc that shields the shore from strong ocean currents, so the ocean is calmer. The hotel has access to the lagoon AND the ocean, so you have view to the water on either side of the hotel. The beach was clean and there is a little reef where you can see tropical fish. It’s understandable, but it did get a little tiring at times. The hotel is directly on the beach, but the beachfront isn’t ideal for swimming since it’s very rocky and shallow. You need to walk about five minutes down to find a spot where you can comfortably swim. The overall vibe of the hotel is a bit outdated and cheesy — definitely a mixed crowd of younger people looking to party and older guests, giving it a bit of a “cruise ship” atmosphere. My husband and I had never done an all-inclusive before, and although we got an amazing deal, it’s probably not something we would repeat at this property. As for dining: • The buffet was solid — lots of choices, decent quality — I’d rate it a 7/10. • The two à la carte restaurants (that required reservations) were subpar, so we honestly preferred the buffet experience. • The sushi swim-up bar was a bit of a letdown; the sushi wasn’t great (but understandable given the location). Our only real disappointment was the hot tub — it was very tiny, difficult to find, far away from everything, and when we finally reached it on our last night, it was lukewarm and not fully functioning. Final thoughts: If you’re looking for a budget-friendly all-inclusive with great staff, decent food, and a nice view — this is a good choice. Just know it’s not super luxurious, and swimming directly in front of the hotel isn’t ideal. It’s located right in the heart of Playa where there are lots of partying going on, if you want that sort of scene. We’re glad we tried it, but we’ll probably explore other options and quieter locations next time.
