I used to always use ********** for our family trips several times a year, but this time I tried Trip.com because the prices were better. However, the service at the Aloft Cancun hotel counter was rude and unpleasant due to a male staff member. I've stayed at various accommodations in different countries before and never felt such unpleasantness until now, here in Mexico. Yesterday, I couldn't wash my hair because the shampoo dispenser was empty. Today, after returning from a tour, the shampoo dispenser was still empty. I had to go down to the front desk with wet hair while showering to explain the situation. This was the first time something like this happened, so I was flustled. The female staff member today was much friendlier compared to the male staff member yesterday. I'm wondering if this is because I booked through Trip.com, or if the Aloft hotel's service itself is poor. I've booked my upcoming 3-night stay in Mexico City through **********, starting tomorrow. I want to compare the service. Also, the airport pickup service through Trip.com was a mess, so I canceled tomorrow's airport drop-off and booked an Uber instead. For this Mexico trip, I used Trip.com for airport pickup/drop-off, hotel bookings, and flight reservations. At least the flight reservation part was well-organized; they provided information like arrival times and gate numbers, which was the most satisfying aspect.

As a resort hotel, the location is excellent and the service is first-class. The facilities are old. There is always a musty smell in the room when the air conditioner is on. It disappears when the balcony door is opened for air circulation. In short, it is still good and the CP value is relatively high.

Best place I’ve stayed at in the last 5 years of travelling this place is amazing loved every second of it. Had one issue with security bringing a girl in who was up my a$$ but we got her a day pass like we intended too and we were all good again. Least you know security is good so again couldn’t recommend a place better and for the price this is a BARGAIN

Upon check-in at 1 PM, the hotel initially tried to fob us off with a subpar room on the second floor. We had to wait until 3 PM to finally get a room on the sixth floor, only to find the entire floor under renovation with construction workers and materials filling the corridors. This was truly embarrassing for an InterContinental property. When we tried to change to a lagoon-facing room, several front desk staff members shirked responsibility and passed the buck. It took another hour for the lobby manager to finally offer us a spare room on the fourth floor. This hotel is riddled with issues and constant hassles. I strongly recommend avoiding it!

This is the best value in Playa Del Carmen. The best bang for the buck especially if you’re booking on this app. Good food. Steak restaurant is great too. Everything is clean and modern although not the newest hotel. This is our go to hotel. Only complaint is they stopped including the premium tequila (Don Julio) in the all inclusive

The hotel is really good. I booked the hotel with a nervous mood. But I was very satisfied with the final result. Facilities: To be honest, the facilities are a bit old. The air conditioner at the front desk is not cold (the room is cold). The room facilities are old. I found that the faucet was broken on the first day. Several holes of the shower head were blocked, causing water to leak. Hygiene: It was cleaned very cleanly. Environment: The hotel environment is very good. It has its own beach. The beach is fine, there are many parasols and many places to lie down. There are four hotels in total. Two of them require reservations. Generally, you can make an appointment as long as you make an appointment in advance. The hotel we booked is more delicious, especially the sunset barbecue, pasta and even salad, which are all above standard. Service: Amigo is really good. We did not give tips specifically. They are also very enthusiastic. Whether you give or not, their attitude is very friendly.

There are few people, the service is good, the hotel is large and magnificent, and the bus stop is not far away. The sea view is beautiful, and the merchandise department downstairs is full of goods, which are very expensive but very beautiful. There are two huge lizards at the door!

When i booked this hotel, just look photos and price. I think like this expensive hotel must be excellent. But... 1. This is like 3 stars hotel. 2. Personals very bad. If you didn't pay them, nobody served for you. Just one time they can give you juice or something. Second time you need wait 20 minutes 3. I booked room for 2 people. But inside everything for one. Need ask many time for bring one more soap, or shampoo. And surely need pay.... 4. No any amenities. Just pool and restaurants. 5. Normally if you pay this money in Dubai or Turkey, you can see whats the 5 stars. He you can't see any stars. 6. I think have just one reason for like this high price. It's a erotic show. Name is erotic. Nothing more. Just name:):):):) So, if you have money, and want to rest. Didn't go this hotel. I booked it for 5 days. But stay there just 1 night.

Where do I start from? Daniel , Erik and the whole squad were exceptional. SLS Cancun is situated in the Marina which is probably the most expensive and most luxurious place in the whole of Cancun. There are loads of restaurants and a big shopping mall literally 7-10 mins walk from the hotel. The Marina is amazing with loads of fine dinning and descent priced restaurants. I stayed in one of the suites which happens to have 2 bathrooms and a full ocean view. The best thing about this hotel and the area (the Marina) is how private, secure (tho Cancun is safe) and affluent the area is. I call the area little Miami. If you want a loud noisy area, this is not the place for you. But if you want a bit of class and then drive into the noisy area and back to peace then SLS is for you. People pay to come to the beach so it’s a private beach but obviously free for hotel guest , so you will never see a rowdy group of people. I rented a car during my stay through the hotel without even paying a deposit to the car company and obviously you get Valet parking every time. The guys are attentive and always happy to help.Ask for Daniel and Erik, those guys are everything you need. I’ll see you soon.

The hotel's facilities are top-notch, but the restaurant's food is quite mediocre and doesn't match the hotel's caliber. The location is inconvenient; you can only rely on local taxis, which are very expensive, and there's no Uber available. I'd recommend staying in Cancun next time you visit Tulum.

YYouhanThe property was amazing. You feel like you're in a paradise in the middle of the jungle. The food was great and the service was top notch. Only thing was some people had a bit too much fun at the pool and had accidents that made everyone evacuate the pool for cleaning, but there are other pools and lagoons that you can relax in to make up for it. Make sure you try the fish tacos at the restaurant by the beach and the roof vegan restaurant was also great for breakfast. Also make sure you go to XPLOR.... it's so well made... and we had the most fun there. We regret going to Xelha... you go there in the morning and you're stuck there until 4pm where as XPLOR you can go back an forth freely. We regret not trying the other parks that were a part of the resort.

GGuest UserWe stayed at 3 hotels on the island two of them a bit more established but this was by far our favorite. So much so we checked into another hotel just for the experience and didn’t even stay the night because we felt so comfortable at Soho.. It is far away from the center about a mile and a half which makes it a nice walk each night. My husband is a functioning insomniac and had the best sleep he’s ever had in the past 15 years in the bed there. The breakfast is SUPERIOR!! Josamar and Berna were so accommodating thru out our stay I’ve travelled many places and leaving here I shed a few tears because it was an absolute paradise. The whole staff is there to make you happy. And to anyone who complained about the restaurant being overpriced and not offering enough options. They live off the land , serve food from the land and put love into their cooking so understand that . Holbox holds a dear place in our heart now and that wouldn’t be the case without staying at Soho Boutique Mucho Gracias to the whole staff.

MMIYUKIWe made a reservation after reading reviews saying the Italian restaurant was delicious, but it turned out that the Italian restaurant was not included in the all-inclusive plan. However, the other food was also very good. We called to request drinks to be restocked in the fridge, but they never arrived. Although it was the low season, the pool was small and there were never any available seats. At night, there was live band music in the lobby, and we had a great time.

KKarenThis will be the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel and I will say that it's getting old. The resort has five pools that were all hot. The surrounding beach in the area is 20 ft deep and seaweed and you can't enter the water. Also if you can imagine the hotel makes you check out at 10:00 a.m. which screwed up my sleeping pattern for the day of checkout. What hotel makes you check out at 10:00 a.m.? By the way check in time isn't until 4:00. So if you're staying for one day you only get 18 hours of hotel. Some of the rooms are redone and some of the rooms have got the original flooring from when I stay there the first time around 25 years ago. My room had the original flooring. The first room that reception gave me was on the first floor at the absolute end of the resort. The room was run down and the floor looked like it was buckling a little . The second room reception gave me had a foul odor. Food and drinks at this hotel are extremely expensive. I want to say that a margarita is around 13 to 17 US dollars give me a break. Do not order an a la carte breakfast there because they pick it off the buffet and it's going to be cold. I want to say breakfast is 550 pesos a person. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. They don't offer cappuccino or lattes as a courtesy for breakfast. By the way it takes reception around 15 minutes per customer to check you in. I have stayed at this resort a total of four times and I would not go back. The beach is infested with seaweed farther than the eye can see there's no place swimmable by this resort. I would say it was quite disappointing. By the way they have a little market in the resort and a $6 bottle of champagne in Los Angeles cost $53 in their ghastly overpriced market. Very bad value for money. My third room was acceptable. I do have to say I think the rooms are big and the gentleman that checked me on did give me an upgrade to a balcony on the lagoon side so that was something. I paid a round $140 USD a night with tax and really it was a 85 US dollar hotel at best. It doesn't meet Westin standards. There was also an area with a little chip paint in my room but I'm probably being somewhat nitpicky. The light in the room is also not very bright and made it somewhat hard to read.

LLihuiI stayed here for 3 nights in June. The sea was full of weeds, probably because of the rainy season, so I couldn't go in, but there weren't too many people and I was able to relax by the pool. It's also close to Quinta Avenida, so you can enjoy a stroll around the town in between your hotel life. There are buffets, 3 dinner restaurants, a cafe and a pool bar, and activities such as morning yoga and shows, so I had a lot to enjoy. I booked an ocean view room, but I could barely see the sea, so if you want to see the sea from your room, it might be better to book a seafront room.

EEvgeniiThis is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel, last time everything was much better, this time we got an old room, also adjoining, the manager said that he could not help with anything and could not change the room, as a result we had to wait until they fixed the balcony door because it did not close, there is no soundproofing, you can hear everything that happens in the next room and what happens in the corridor. This time the only pluses are the location, the pool.
