So it was really disappointing when we found out that these facilities were closed on Xmas day and on other days operated at limited hours when we were there. The pool, sauna, steam room and gym are operated by a separate company from the hotel. That meant operating hours of those facilities are not catered for hotel guests at all. And it also meant sharing the facilities with members of the gym. So if you’re thinking of staying here and using the gym or pool, just bear those things in mind. Breakfast selection was quite limited. Very bare selection of any salads or greens. Quite embarrassing as well to see that clean plates were not available several times when there were less than 20 covers at breakfast. I understand it was the holiday season and the hotel is understaffed. But I’m sure this is not the first Christmas or NYE the hotel has encountered.
Very helpful staff great food selection in restaurants arrived midnight fab customer service as a disabled customer having a late flight we stayed the week before on our outward journey they helped me contact assisted boarding would definitely stay again n recommend friends n family nothing was a bother my companion is plant based n they provided oat milk n tea bags on request rooms bright n airy beds so comfortable after long flight great shampoo conditioner n body lotions of good quality can't thank staff enough for there help

The breakfast very usual level. Dont have expectation on it. There is on site starbuck. If u want to have better breakfast you may consider having at starbuck (but it open at 8am ) rather than at hotel.
There are only 1 big bar + restaurant nearby. The food is usual bar level quality but the price is lower than average. Around 13 to 15 for a main course.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Midland Manchester – everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely looked after, and the service throughout was faultless.
The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud – we had some of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in ages! The room service was prompt, professional, and the food was delicious – a real treat after a long day exploring the city.
Speaking of relaxing – the spa was absolutely divine. Clean, calming, and wonderfully designed, it was the perfect escape. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had – incredibly soothing and tailored to perfection. If you’re in need of some proper pampering, this is the place to be.
Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. Right in the heart of Manchester, everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.
All in all, The Midland is a true gem. Comfortable, elegant, and run by an outstanding team. We’ll absolutely be back!

The style of the room is retro, pretty good, the toiletries are great, and there is a refrigerator. But the top-level swimming pool is very small, only two or three meters long. No one really goes swimming. If you live in the pool, the price is slightly higher. There is also a sauna on the top floor, which makes it very comfortable to steam~
Hotel is exactly what it says on the tin.
Small room but cozy enough. Bathroom quite comfortable. Though it’s more of a wet room. So bring shower slippers.
Bar downstairs decent. Close to a fun retail park.
Staff were friendly. I was able to access check in early. That was a relief!
No sleep, kids running about, slamming doors, shouting and generally causing havoc. Throwing rubbish out of the window

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. All the hardwares are brilliant. Nice room , great location and good facilities but horrible customer service . Have a nice check-in on the first day , sorry for forgot the name, beautiful smile with a warm welcome and remember me when I come back in the next week. However not on the other days, the other receptionist always look grumpy. The thing is I’ve paid the parking every day when I come back from work but for some reason it didn’t show I paid on one of the day and charged it on my card which I paid the deposit. Email the customer service to claim it back , sent all the transactions from my bank to prove but cannot notice the mistake in the first two emails and just say that is what it is. After a few days gat back to me with a few words the money will go back to my account in a few days. No apologies or explanation for the incident, make me feel that I’m the wrong side and just want to cheating. Horrible customer service.

GGuest UserI stayed at the Village Hotel Manchester Cheadle from the 20th to the 21st and accidentally left my Oral-B electric toothbrush and La Mer face wash on the bed. These are high-value items, and I immediately called the hotel on Sunday morning, fully expecting them to be professional and help me retrieve my belongings. Instead, I was met with complete indifference and disregard.
Despite their company policy stating that lost items should be returned if found, I was simply told that nothing had been discovered in the room. I am 100% certain I left them on the bed, but instead of investigating further, the staff dismissed my concerns and didn’t even bother to follow up. As a paying customer, I expected a level of care and responsibility, but I received none.
The worst part is that when I asked for an update, they merely shrugged it off, stating that “if they could find it, they would have by now,” despite less than 24 hours having passed since my stay. This lack of effort, urgency, and empathy from the hotel is shocking and unacceptable. It feels as though they couldn’t be bothered to take my situation seriously or value me as a guest. I will not be returning, and I urge others to avoid this hotel if you expect any kind of respect or attention to detail regarding your belongings.

GGuest UserGreat stop over on the way to Scotland! Tired the kids out in the pool and even got some Jacuzzi time myself. Great facilities and fit four of us comfortably. The staff couldn’t do more, especially at breakfast when they looked after my kids and showed them the bookcase. Thank you to the lady who used to be a British Airways hostess particularly! 
TTravelTime11Nice place to stay, though i think the jacuzzi needs to be warmer. The same block across the road (city suites II) has a much better jacuzzi and even a sauna included. Id pay a bit more and book the building across. Though the apsrtment is nice clean spaciousness and has all facilities you might need for your stay, and more!
