TTinyshidabaoI'm back! This time, I stayed for four nights.
Sanya really is one of those places you visit once and then countless times, but that's only if you find a hotel you love! (Since I have time, I'm going to write a super long review this time, haha.)
The InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort is truly my absolute favorite hotel. Coming back here feels just like coming home. It has a huge lawn, a spacious beach with plenty of lounge chairs (never crowded), a beautiful and incredibly comfortable lobby, breakfast with no queues ever, and super friendly staff, plus really comfortable rooms. Honestly, this hotel is my ideal for a relaxing vacation. For couples who love peace and quiet, crave comfort, and just want to chill, I genuinely recommend staying here.
**Facilities:**
First, the public areas. Many might find them a bit plain, but I think the large lawn is incredibly pleasant. It's perfect for a stroll after breakfast – couldn't be better.
Then there are the rooms. This is my favorite part, especially the layout where the foot of the bed faces the balcony. You can really feel the thoughtful design – you can see the ocean from anywhere in the room. And the view that greets you every time you open the door to your room is just stunning. Although the room isn't huge, the design details are very well thought out. It feels so comfortable, truly like being at home. Even though the hotel has been around for a while, most of the furnishings are wood, which ironically gives it more character over time. It just perfectly suits my taste.
The most, most, most important thing is the balcony. This hotel's balcony is the most comfortable I've ever experienced – unobstructed, directly facing the sea, with a super comfy long chair. I could lie there all day!
And the gym! I've stayed in so many hotels, but this gym honestly deserves a 100-point score. Unlike other hotels where the gym is crammed into a small corner, making you feel stifled, you can tell the location of this gym was chosen with care. It's truly comfortable; you get great views while running or using the equipment, and the air quality and temperature are always pleasant, even when no one is exercising! This is crucial – even without guests, the air and temperature are comfortable; guests don't need to adjust them themselves!
**Hygiene:** Needless to say, excellent!
**Breakfast:** The restaurant is huge and has a great atmosphere. No queues – this is so important! One of the most vital parts of a vacation is enjoying a relaxed breakfast. Plus, the breakfast is delicious, and they offer different specialties to try every day.
**Service:** My butler this time was Lusca again! Who understands the joy of receiving a 'welcome back' message from Lucas on WeChat a whole year later? The InterContinental's butler service is truly outstanding. Lucas checked in daily to see if I needed anything, so incredibly thoughtful. After hanging up a call with the front desk, a staff member would quickly follow up on WeChat to ask if there were any other needs. All in all, Lucas's service gets 120 points!
Additionally, every single staff member – the concierge, front desk, passing staff, breakfast servers, and even the cleaning ladies – was super nice. They all just give off a really pleasant vibe. I also noticed that many of the staff members this time were familiar faces from last year, indicating low staff turnover, which proves they must have a great working environment. Especially on the 5th for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, I saw the manager or supervisor cheering on the young colleagues about to perform. This kind of work atmosphere, where employees are happy, will undoubtedly lead to excellent guest experiences.
In short, this is the hotel I will definitely stay at for a few days whenever I visit Sanya. I look forward to my next return and hope the hotel's service continues to be this excellent!
