GGuest UserEveryone here is very welcoming and friendly! Some people always mistake us for Japanese or Koreans, but there are people in China who like to travel and enjoy the world just like us! In short, I have fallen deeply in love with the Cook Islands, and I love everything here!
GGuest UserEdgewater is a very large resort about a 10 minute drive from the airport. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although we arrived at 7:30 am, they stored our bags and we were given full use of their facilities plus breakfast until check in time. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting next to the beach which has white sand areas and great snorkelling reefs. There was a good variety of food and we enjoyed all our meals. We often shared a meal as they can be quite large servings & we took advantage of the happy cocktail hour between 5 6 pm each day where cocktails are $12 ea. Our king bed room was spacious, clean and serviced each day of our one week stay. However, our room was very close to the pool, restaurant and events hut so we could hear the pool noise and the nightly live music. Luckily all noise ceased at about 10 pm. You also have to be prepared for the early morning crowing of the resident roosters! Dogs, cats & chickens roam freely around the resort and are just an integral part of Cook Is life. The resort has a full tour booking service which we us used. All transfers, taxis and the local island buses pulled into the resort on time. There are so many activities on offer at the resort, e g, island dancing, ukulele, sarong tying, cooking lessons and free fire and cultural shows that you could just spend a lot of time here. Our stay was to celebrate my wife's birthday and the staff did that in style with a special free cocktail and canapes evening for guests celebrating special occasions and for loyalty guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Edgewater and would recommend it to family and friends.
GGuest UserReview:
I had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning location, crystal-clear waters, and peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect.
Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully presented, with breathtaking views right outside the door. The food was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. We especially loved the easy access to the beach and the chance to explore the surrounding lagoon—it felt like paradise.
This is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cook Islands. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. We will definitely be coming back!
MMaurizio CuzariThe Bungalow is beautiful, equipped with everything you might want, with a terrace covered with table, chairs and bedrooms. On its extension, two sleeping to take the sun; inside, a separate room from the room, a huge bathroom and a shower outside on the back. A dream.
Cleaning is about and well-being; but asking you get everything.
Restaurant not perfect, repeated but well managed. Poor breakfast; little choice of furnace and confectionery, no cheese and salses, only a watered fruit juice. Decorative cappuccino. Different menus for lunch, afternoon and dinner, but with a modest choice at least for Western tastes, Two buffet nights per week, always with the same pettyness; Friday evening meat, with a shout!
We had two weeks two... The average of tourists is three days, and it is perhaps why we found the restaurant just enough.
GGuest UserThis resort fitted my purpose well. Love this adults only resort and location just right on the beach. Each villa is stand alone with your own entrance & patio area which is what I like. You are not attached with other rooms or share space. Facilities inside the room just same as the pictures. Good value & room price, includes breakfast.
Overall, a clean & tidy complex, friendly staff, good size swimming pool. I definitely will choose Crown beach resort again.
GGuest UserI am so so glad I stayed here!!
It was amazing to have the beautiful, crystal clear blue ocean right in front of me. Depending on the room, you can be in the ocean just 30 seconds from your room!!
It was my first time staying at a pricey hotel, but it was so worth it!!
It was the best reward ever!!
The staff were so kind and gentle, and I had a very comfortable stay ^_^ You can see the fish in the ocean while snorkeling, and the ocean right in front of you isn't deep, so you can swim safely ^_^
The hotel lent us a snorkel set free of charge.
There is a restaurant and bar on the premises, so you don't have to worry about food. We also had tuna sashimi, which was very tasty and suited Japanese tastes ^_^
The airport transfer was also very helpful.
I would definitely like to go again. Thank you so much!!!
HHarryRamirezOur stay at Moana Sands Villa was exceptional. The accommodation was spacious and furnished, with all the amenities we needed. Opening the lounge door to the beach was simply magical. Having a 24-hour supermarket nearby was incredibly convenient, and the nearby cafe and take-away shop were fantastic. Overall, a perfect getaway destination that we can't wait to return to.
GGuest UserWe had two rooms for our family. The beach suite was very spacious and had an amazing view of the lagoon. The beach was so calm and beautiful. We loved the kayaking and paddle boarding. The food was good but after a few days we were sick of the menu. Luckily the location is great and you can walk to other restaurants.
GGuest UserWe had a fantastic time - the pool, lagoon, cocktails and food were all excellent - but the staff were hands down the best part of our stay. They were all kind, friendly and considerate, and remembered everyone's name. My pedicure & massage were also wonderful. We are definitely returning for another visit.
DdavidarchiThe resort is good, the local popular one, 3k a night is still quite expensive, the price is generally the same, although the best beach and the lake on the main island, but it is still completely incomparable with the outlying island, it is OK to stay for one night.
