Perfect location, taxi can be dropped off right in front of the hotel, and across the street from the hotel is the famous laomendong area, where you can find the amazing nanjing impression restaurant, this one is the more impressive looking space than other branches.
Professional, well organised, rooms are cleaned and tidied, water, tea, and toiletries replenished every day.
Plenty common areas to use, convenient, great value for money.

I almost wanted to keep this gem of a hotel a secret, but it's just too good not to share! The room isn't huge, but the environment and facilities are excellent. For around 200, you get a smart voice assistant, a smart toilet, a mini-fridge, and even premium bottled water (Baishishan). The toiletries aren't some obscure brand either. There's a parking lot right next door, and if you tell the front desk, they'll give you a parking voucher. Plus, there are restaurants and a food street nearby. The complimentary mini-bar with water and drinks was a nice touch. Just a small suggestion: the smart toilet emits a slight odor when opened, which could be looked into. I'd definitely stay here again next time! 😊

I chose Andu Hotel for my business trip, and the location is absolutely fantastic! It's fully equipped and only a 10-minute walk from where I needed to be, plus there's a subway entrance right outside. The front desk staff were lovely; check-in took literally a minute, and they even upgraded my room. The room itself was clean and tidy, and the bedding was so soft – after a long day of work, I fell asleep instantly. I had an early start the next day, and breakfast was ready at 7 AM. There was a huge variety of food, and the coffee was really aromatic. Definitely a perfect score from me!

This is a great Republic of China-era hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot yet still central. The courtyard is very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's about 800 meters from popular attractions like Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and Xing Street – all within easy reach. There are also plenty of dining options; the famous Erchun Fried Rice is right next door, and old brands like Fuchun Teahouse, Maopailou, and Gonghechun are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for an after-dinner stroll. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Located at the entrance of a small alley, it's wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. If time permits, brewing a pot of tea and sitting in the courtyard to soak in the 'slow Yangzhou' vibe would be truly delightful!

I booked a king-size room, which was very large, with a separate wet and dry bathroom and a balcony. The breakfast was rich in variety, with both Chinese and Western styles. The hotel is garden-style, and the lotus flowers are blooming beautifully in this season, making for great photos. The hotel's outdoor pool is also very beautiful, and you can experience it with your children. The hotel service is also very good, with enough mineral water in the room, and a housekeeper to greet them attentively. When I left, they also gave me a beautiful notebook. The service was very considerate and the price was very affordable. It is worth staying here next time.
The location is very good, the reception is warm, and it will be delivered to the downstairs. There are many houses, the overall decoration is classical, the room is clean and tidy, no smell~(˶╹ꇴ╹˶)~ and the layout is very comfortable, the aunt is also very enthusiastic, and will say hello when meeting. Sound insulation is average, but it is understandable because it is a courtyard. The mattress is very comfortable~ I sleep very well, it is very convenient to go to various attractions from the hotel, and the takeaway is also very easy to find hahaha will come back next time!

The chubby young man at the front desk was incredibly nice and provided excellent service. I was initially worried that the hotel facilities in the old town area might be lacking, but they weren't at all. The room and other amenities were quite new, the shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, and the pet cleaning fee was very reasonable at 50 baht. The only downside was the small road leading into the hotel, which was a bit difficult to navigate, but it was fine once inside the hotel. Parking was convenient; hotel guests get free parking with a parking voucher, and takeout is delivered to your door by a robot.

What an unique experience! Nothing could be more authentic than that! Our room is on the first floor right by the water. We saw many women rowing the gondola boats and serenading beautiful songs to their passengers. We came in a low season, so there wasn’t that much crowd. We could stroll around leisurely to take in all the beautiful sights that this place offers to us. The home stay is operated by a couples. They are so friendly, kind, and always eager to help out, especially the wife (Ms. Chan). The day when we left, she helped us getting a didi ride which is more cheaper than the one we hailed ourselves. The room we stayed in is very unique, it is not super big, but it is very clean and it has everything we needed for the night. All and all, I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

The Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou is an absolute gem! Its location is fantastic, right in the heart of Suzhou, within walking distance to the Master of the Nets Garden, Shiquan Street, and Canglang Pavilion. It's also very close to Fengmen Old Street. Parking is convenient, and public transport (buses and subway) are right next door, making getting around a breeze.
The hotel's design is unique and exquisite, with every corner offering a picturesque view. It's filled with traditional Chinese aesthetics and the charm of Suzhou gardens. Bamboo groves, red maples, serene lakes, and rockeries are cleverly integrated into every guest room. We stayed in a courtyard room with our furry friend. The room was spacious, as was the courtyard, which came with lounge chairs and beautiful maple trees – enough space for our dog to run around happily.
The complimentary social hour, while not offering a huge selection, was quite refined and delicious. The hotel breakfast was truly astonishing; even many luxury hotels don't offer such a lavish spread. Not only was there a wide variety of fruits, but they even had whole coconuts for guests to enjoy!
The hotel management is top-notch, and the staff are warm, sincere, and always greet you with a smile. Our dedicated little butler, Vickey, was particularly wonderful. She's not only beautiful and charming but also incredibly thoughtful in her service. Before our check-in, she added us on WeChat to provide all necessary information and meticulously prepared a dog bed, bowls, toys, a water cup, and even a special dog meal for our furry child. She also created beautiful, personalized postcards for our dog, which made us, as pet parents, incredibly happy! When we asked if we could have a few more postcards made, she readily agreed and delivered them to our room. At check-out, she was kind enough to help us with our luggage and press the elevator button. Her service was absolutely outstanding and deserves high praise!
Overall, our experience at the Kimpton Bamboo Grove left us with a fantastic impression. We will definitely consider staying here again.
The hotel has a beautiful environment. Boating on the lotus pond and entering the room units felt like stepping into a uniquely charming setting. The family suite, designed with two floors, was a perfect match for our needs. In addition, the hotel’s service was excellent—shuttle cars were available on call. The lobby manager, Mr. Liu, was courteous and friendly, which left a particularly deep impression on me.
One thing I really appreciated was that each guest is assigned a dedicated butler who communicates one-on-one via WeChat. It’s very convenient—you can treat them as your personal assistant throughout the stay. Whatever request you have, just let them know and they will help take care of it. My butler was Lisa, and she was very helpful and responsive.
One area for improvement is that there were quite a few mosquitoes 🦟 inside the room. My daughter was bitten all over and is still suffering. We had to buy topical medication today to treat the bites. If the hotel could kindly remind guests in advance about the mosquito situation, we might have come prepared and avoided the bites altogether.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with this stay.

GGallleyaThis is the best hotel we stayed in during our trip to China. We lived in a separate house. It's quiet and cozy there. The air conditioner works well for heating.
The hostess is very friendly and kind. When we got lost during check-in, she herself came for us. Also thanks to the man who helped us when leaving the hotel.
Comfortable bathroom, good beds, spacious room. I highly recommend it!
GGuest UserBecause it was too late to decide to travel, the room booked was small and remote. The boss was very nice and enthusiastic. I stayed for two nights and directly helped me upgrade one of the bowls of parent-child rooms. There were quilt sheets on the stairs, indicating that I had to change every day. It was very clean. Breakfast had milk, porridge, corn, sweet potatoes. Tea eggs, there is dinner in the evening, we ate for one night, the fish is longer than half of the brother 😄

HHannahThis is such a lovely little homestay! We struggled to find the entrance since Tencent Maps sent us a street over, but after adding them on WeChat they sent us a pin right away and helped us make it (see photo!). The room was clean, well-air-conditioned, well thought out, and we had so much fun with the Japanese toilet!
My chinese is limited to basic conversation only but staff were friendly and the lady at the desk on the day we checked out showed us her newborn kittens! Super super happy all round with this stay!
Note to other guests:
- Taxis will have to drop you a few streets away as much of the old town's streets are too narrow for cars.
- The entrance is right on the canal, not round a corner.
- The door is open at all times, so don't worry if you're back late!

3320218****I saw pictures of this guesthouse's beautiful courtyard online, and it was just as lovely in person. I really adored their cat; the owner said it's their mascot. It was super affectionate and stayed on me for a long time, not standoffish at all. I slept very well and left early in the morning to visit the scenic area, which I explored for three hours. The owner let me park my car in the free parking lot and even offered a shuttle service, which was very convenient.
SSCTan (Malaysia)Our stay at Zhouzhuang Zen Yili was absolutely wonderful—a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and convenience!
Taxi can dropped us off within 1 minute walking distance away from Zen Yili. Zhouzhuang ancient village entrance is just a few minutes walk from Zen Yili making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and activities. The peaceful surroundings of the homestay also added to the relaxing vibe.
The hosts, both husband and wife were exceptionally kind and gave us great local tips. They provided us more than enough fresh fruits, tea, biscuits and mineral water. I was surprised also that the room was with full mosquitoes nettings with even anti mosquitoes device provided if needed. During our stay the homestay and its surroundings ware without mosquitoes.
The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was of five star standard for its fittings, and was very well-maintained.
Before we checked out, we were given delicious homemade biscuits out of their hospitality. They also arranged for us a reliable and comfortable pickup after checked out.
For the price, this homestay offered excellent value.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in Zhouzhuang ancient village.

Very Good
GGuest UserIt is very convenient to park in the parking lot. The building has the characteristics of the Qing Dynasty, especially the independent courtyard with fresh plants, which is very suitable for listening to the rain on rainy days; the back of the bed is also ingeniously opened with glass, so it is not too dark during the day; the hotel is also very clean, but I also brought a disposable four-piece set.
The customer service guy is very enthusiastic and will answer any questions. Everyone can rest assured to stay here

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful 2 nights in this family-run hotel. The host was extremely kind, friendly and helpful; he made us feel completely at home, and even gave us two delicious homemade ‘lard cakes’ to take with us because we’d enjoyed them so much at breakfast one morning!
The rooms are lovely - spacious, very light, bright and private. Really nice interior design. Ours was on the top floor with a roof top deck and great views over the lake and village.
The bed was very comfortable with fresh, clean linen and towels. There’s a kettle on the room but you need to bring your own tea or coffee. That said, tea and hot water were available 24-hours a day downstairs.
The meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious and fresh; they’re cooked onsite with ingredients that are caught or grown on the island, and are very good value. We ate breakfast (included) both mornings and dinner on our first night.
We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again if we came back.
The main thing to note is that the host (and very few people on the island) speak English, so having some Chinese definitely helps! But we felt very welcome at all times, even when our language skills reached their limits!
__WeChat359335****I happened to be there on a business trip recently, and I decided to go to the beach for a while. I looked for a few on the Internet, because I have stayed in B&Bs before, and I felt that the price/performance ratio was better than that of a hotel, so I chose one. It was unexpectedly good, and the room layout was very good. It's very cozy, it's very clean, and it's very quiet when you sleep at night. Especially when you're in a bad mood, you come here to relax, and you'll come here to play when you have time.
