Great
GGuest UserMagical! THE very best hotel we stayed during a 14 day around a Turkey trip.
We are only staying for one night in Safranbolu so we chose to stay in one of the iconic Ottoman houses and that was a good decision.
Walkable to the museum and shops on pebbled street. We felt like living in history.
All the period features has been very carefully preserved. So many things to look at and appreciate, the wooden windows, the fabric, the metal clutches and the heavy key.
What amazed us is how useable of these historic items. The door just closes itself very smoothly and locks with a satisfying clunck. The bedding is super comfy with high count weave of cotton and goose down pillows. The bathroom is sufficiently modernised.
Everywhere around the house and garden is a framable picture. Love how the decorations are put in place. Not too busy or too instagrammable but relaxed and artistically arranged.
We had an amazing stay and the staff are so lovely and helpful. Asam guided us from the car park and carried our luggage up the stairs and showed us the cool wine cellar. Sofia’s breakfast is delicious with the best home made saffron jam and ginger jam and apricot jam. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family if they are visiting Safranbolu.
Also the classical music in the garden is a nice touch!
RRyanWuTravelThe location is very good, a five-minute walk to the old town. There is a parking lot. The breakfast is delicious and the service is friendly. There are no disadvantages except that the toilet is a little smaller.
WWhereRyouNowOverall, it was good. My wife and I were on a road trip and passed through here. I slept quite soundly. There was a little noise from upstairs, and after I called to report it, the noise stopped within 5 minutes. The efficiency was really good.
SSuroOur room was on the top floor, and you can get a taxi directly to the hotel for about 320 lira. I had seen two vloggers stay here before and was surprised to find out they had also stayed in this very room. The hotel itself offers excellent views of the small town and is conveniently located for getting around. Tea and coffee are available all day. Breakfast is a typical local spread, with various cheeses, omelets, and carbs. All the staff were warm and friendly. Ismail was our main point of contact and provided us with a lot of useful information. My only complaint was the hotel bathroom; the sliding door had issues, and the handle had come off and needed repair. Also, the floor was slippery, so I recommend not wearing slippers in the shower to avoid falling.
SSung-Ling WangDuring our trip to the city of Sanfranbolu, we had an extraordinary lodging experience. The house, constructed of stone, was adorned with meticulous decorations throughout, reflecting the care and attention of the hostess. Breakfast was a delightful surprise in the morning, featuring homemade jams crafted from a plethora of organic ingredients, tantalizing pancakes, salads, and a variety of cheeses, all accompanied by the classic Turkish tea. What truly enhanced our stay was the enjoyable conversations with the host. Thanks to the guidance of this geology and history professor, our Turkish itinerary underwent significant revisions. Overall, it was an unforgettable accommodation experience!
ZzgcnkygszIt would be nonsense to come to Safranbolu and stay in a normal hotel. They restored the old mansions and turned them into hotels. There is such a hotel in Yorgancıoğlu Mansions, the rooms have been restored with woodworking, originality intact, the staff are completely family employees, they are all friendly.
浅浅浅的美好The hotel reception was very warm and kind, I miss her very much. She helped me carry the box, called the car for me, and watched me leave. Knowing that my stomach is not good, will prepare the food I need, I am very grateful. I think I will come back again, next time I will stay in a room a little bigger in the bathroom. Outside the window you can see the mountain, the tower, and the Richard dog, I miss it very much. There is also a beautiful green yard and sunshine, I will definitely go back again.
GGuest UserThe saffron homestays are generally rebuilt on the mountain. The buildings are simple, every stone, and every window is carrying a historical story for hundreds of years. The conditions are relatively simple, the bathroom is not separated; there is no air conditioning, but the evening in July is more than ten degrees, and the air conditioner is not used.
The top floor restaurant has a great view and the breakfast is not bad.
PPanji SamodroThe view is stunning, and the room is clean, although I was a bit disappointed because I didn’t get the room I had booked. I reserved a room with a balcony but didn’t receive one. However, it’s okay because the host is very friendly, and you won’t go hungry while staying here.
IIlkerCA quite clean and related facility. There are vehicles in the rooms like a sabble shampoo hair dryer. Beds are comfortable and clean. One of the safest places to stay around. Also rooms are hot for those who think of staying in the winter.
