I stayed in Room 3121 (superior king). Cons - The room door can sometimes be difficult to open. You need to tap the key card, turn the handle, and push the door slightly harder than usual. The same issue occasionally occurs when opening the door from inside. - The hotel's WiFi signal does not reach the room. - An iron is not provided in the room. - The room door is only moderately soundproof (around 60%), so noise from outside can still be heard. - A laundry bag is not provided. Pros - The room rate is very affordable and reasonable for the condition and facilities offered by the hotel. - The room is very spacious and comfortable. - Five clothes hangers are provided. - A hair dryer is available. - Basic toiletries provided include shampoo, body wash, and a shower cap. - The TV offers five channels. - Two complimentary bottles of drinking water are provided. - A kettle, two sets of coffee and tea, along with sugar and creamer, are available. - Two mugs and spoons are provided. - The air conditioning works well and keeps the room very cool. - Basement parking is available. Access is through the side of the Tang Dynasty Hotel lobby. The parking system is cashless and uses number plate recognition. Inform the TD Plaza Hotel lobby staff of your vehicle registration number, and they will register it. Each exit is charged at a special rate of RM2 when you tap your bank card. - The hotel's location is excellent. Imago Shopping Mall is within walking distance (10min +-) - Nearby amenities include Bataras Supermarket, Orange Market, KFC, Papa's, and Golden Fish. - There is also a night market beside the building. - For seafood lovers, Anjung Senja is located behind Wawasan Plaza. - Beautiful sunset views can be enjoyed from the Anjung Senja area all the way to the back of Marriott Hotel. - For those who enjoy brisk walking, jogging, or running, there is a dedicated pedestrian and cycling path stretching from Anjung Senja towards the Tanjung Aru junction. Imago Shopping Mall boleh dikunjungi dengan berjalan kaki dalam 10minit - Berdekatan dengan Bataras Supermarket, Orange Market, KFC, Papa's dan Golden Fish. - Terdapat pasar malam di tepi bangunan. - Bagi pencinta makanan laut, Anjung Senja terletak di belakang bangunan Wawasan Plaza. - Pemandangan matahari terbenam (sunset) yang cantik boleh dinikmati sekitar kawasan Anjung Senja hingga belakang Marriott Hotel. - Bagi yang gemar brisk walk, berjoging atau berlari, terdapat laluan khas pejalan kaki dan berbasikal dari kawasan Anjung Senja hingga ke persimpangan Tanjung Aru.

View fantastic. Even though furniture old, but still clean. During shower, the button seem not work, lazy to press it during shower, so we go to bath tab shower. The mattress very hard btw, but still ok to sleep tho. Will come back again. View so pretty

Families, promise me you'll book this terrace room, okay?!!! Walking into the room and pulling back the curtains to reveal the sea view made every long flight worth it. All the hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive, always smiling. The room was clean and tidy, and entering it felt cool and smelled lovely. Opening the windows in the evening to watch the sunset was truly relaxing and delightful; it really set the vacation mood! The welcome fruit, especially the apple, was so delicious – sweet, tangy, and crisp (I honestly never liked apples back home). The breakfast selection was also very rich, and the taste was quite good. Remember to try the iced freshly squeezed orange juice outside the door! 💕

It was my first time coming here, and the experience was unexpectedly wonderful. I really loved the sunset view—it was so beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were good and suited us well. However, it would be great if the breakfast tables could be cleaned more thoroughly. Overall, it’s a very nice place to relax, chill, and heal.

The location is super close to the ferry terminal. Downstairs, right across the street, there's a KFC, Starbucks, and 7-Eleven, which is really convenient. The front desk staff were very patient. The only drawback is that the room is a bit old-fashioned. However, the hotel's exterior looks upscale and grand.

Many of the positive reviews for this place are likely influenced by the free coconut water offered for writing a review upon check-out. Without any incentives, I'll honestly share my experience. 1. **Pros:** The water quality around Mantanani Island is excellent, and the snorkeling and diving offer stunning views. The staff are friendly, and the island scenery is definitely worth experiencing. 2. **Cons:** The island is swarming with tour groups, and there's a constant stream of elderly people and children, so it's not ideal if you're looking for a peaceful atmosphere. We stayed for three nights, paying over 4,000, and were assigned room 27, which was right next to the staff dormitory. The facilities in the room were very old. Additionally, the adjacent room housed different tour guides every day, and we couldn't see the sea at all from our room. For independent travelers paying this price, getting a room like this is truly unsatisfactory.

All good! We chose a room with plenty of single beds. There were 5 beds, haha, perfect for families, friends, or even a honeymoon. The room was really spacious too. Just a heads-up about the water heater, you can't adjust the temperature; the water gets super hot! You have to mix in cold water to get it lukewarm. Overall, it was great. There's a kettle and a water dispenser right outside the room door. And the views? Right at Mount Kinabalu itself!

The location is excellent. Great value for money too. During my 6-night stay, I used breakfast once, and I was satisfied with the quality. From the window, you can see the port of Jezertun directly, and across the way is Suriasbahamol. It was nice that it was close to Filipino Market and Gayatri Street, and there was a convenience store and a bank. The room cleaning wasn’t done properly, so I mentioned it, and it was fixed immediately. I changed the shower filter every other day. Best value-for-money hotel. If I go to Kota Kinabalu again, I will use it once more. A little further on there’s a Dikingsaba durian shop, and it’s delicious.

The beach is incredibly vast, though a bit far from the hotel itself. The sand is quite fine, and the sunsets are beautiful. 🛌Facilities The hotel was renovated in 2015, and being by the sea, the decor and facilities are naturally a bit dated, but still acceptable. The basic room type includes a sunken living area with a sofa bed, which is very convenient for families with children. The bathroom is small and has no bathtub. The bedding can feel a bit damp, a common issue with beachfront hotels. The balcony offers a slight sea view. Overall, it's decent and better than expected. 🛝Activities This hotel truly excels in its wide range of activities (Images 13-15), available daily, some free and some paid. The various hiking options are quite interesting, though a bit pricey. Additionally, the hotel has a large Kids Club that offers childcare. There are also many children's play facilities on the lawn, and the two swimming pools have water slides, making it perfect for young children transitioning to school. Next to the lobby, there's a Game Area with various board games, a pool table, and a table tennis table. The hotel also boasts an 18-hole golf course, ensuring you won't get bored even without kids. 🍝Dining The biggest drawback of this hotel is its dining options. Being in the suburbs, there aren't many restaurants nearby, and the hotel's own restaurants are naturally expensive and not very good. Our Grab driver recommended a restaurant called Da Di, about 3 km away. The seafood there was incredibly fresh; the chili crab and deep-fried marbled goby were excellent, though a bit pricey. You can also order food delivery via Grab, so staying for two or three nights is perfectly fine. Breakfast is also quite extensive. 💁Service All the services expected of a five-star hotel are provided. The only uncomfortable part was the front desk staff's persistent attempts to upsell room upgrades during check-in. Other than that, there were no issues, and most of the staff were very warm and attentive. Overall, the experience was quite good. The minor flaws don't overshadow its merits, and it offers great value for money. Friends visiting Sabah should definitely give it a try!

2 hour drive from airport. Very close drive to the Kinabalu national park or about a 20 minute walk. Room is simple, rustic but clean. Beautiful surrounding and view from the room. Bed was comfortable. Perfect if you just want a good place to rest after spending the day in nature. There’s a cafe/lunch spot about 15 minutes away by foot.
