The hotel's hygiene and service are excellent. It's conveniently located 100 meters from Dongpu Bus Terminal, making it easy to catch buses to attractions, though do note that bus frequencies are limited, so check the schedule in advance. On the first floor, there's a microwave, oven, and coffee machine available for guests. Right outside the hotel is a beach, but it seems uncleaned with some litter, and at night, the sea outside the window is pitch black. There's also an Aeon supermarket nearby, which is handy for buying food.

1. I stayed for four nights, but the front desk didn't mention that housekeeping would come on the third day when I checked in. I thought if I didn't hang the 'do not disturb' sign, they wouldn't enter the room. Coincidentally, on the third day, I had period cramps and was resting in bed. Around 1 PM, the cleaning staff knocked on the door and then directly swiped their card to open it 😑. Hearing the door open, I immediately shouted a few times for them to close it, and thankfully, they didn't come in (PS: From the sound of it, they seemed to be an Indian man, imagine the internal drama I was going through 😑). Afterward, I reported it to the front desk staff, Ms. Sakura, who explained the situation and apologized repeatedly. However, not informing guests beforehand about this is really unfriendly. 2. The location is close to Sannomiya Station, which is convenient for transportation, but it's also right by the train tracks. It was genuinely a bit noisy. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend booking a hotel further away from the railway tracks (PS: Earplugs from FamilyMart saved my life 😐). 3. Before booking, I saw reviews mentioning hygiene issues, but I thought they were isolated incidents. After checking in, I also 'happily received' other people's hair 😑, and the bed sheets weren't very clean either.

The hotel is located right across the train station square with convenience stores and restaurants around, a perfect location. The room is a typical Japanese hotel room, small but has everything you'd need, and very, very clean. Check-in was smooth, and there's coffee in the reception area, which is on the first floor. WiFi worked great, also for streaming. I'd definitely go here again if I wanted to stay in the Osaka area.

Highly recommend the Daiwa Roynet Kobe-Sannomiya! The hotel is brand new and spotless. The twin room was spacious, and the beds could be combined, offering excellent value for comfort. The surrounding city architecture is stunning, making it a much more pleasant stay than being right in the bustling Sannomiya Station area.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a three-minute walk to the right of Himeji Castle Station. The facilities are modern and the rooms are clean. The front desk is very luxurious with many sculptures. There's also a hot spring bath. It's a great hotel, I'll definitely stay here again next time.

Although this is an older five-star hotel, the lobby is spacious and features the traditional five-star amenities, which are well-maintained and appear very clean. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the Shinkansen line. It was raining on the day we arrived, but there's a covered walkway directly from the Shinkansen to the hotel, so we didn't get wet, which was very handy. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly. They even informed us about ongoing exterior renovations, mentioning that workers might be passing by at certain times. It turned out to be work on an annex, quite far from our room, but I appreciated the heads-up. We booked a twin-bedded city view room, which was very large and even had a capsule coffee machine, though I couldn't use it as I don't drink coffee. The staff cleaned our room thoroughly every day. For breakfast, you can go to the buffet restaurant on the 4th floor, which offers a good variety of Japanese and Western dishes. The staff there were also very attentive, reminding guests around 10:00 AM that the last seating was at 10:30 AM. Alternatively, you can opt for a set menu on the 5th floor. This is served in a restaurant where the staff wear kimonos and are equally friendly. We had three breakfasts in total and chose the set menu one day; it was simple but tasty. Right next to the hotel is the Herb Garden, which is easily accessible by cable car. A short walk down from there, there's a glass house resembling an indoor rainforest. We enjoyed afternoon tea in a café inside while listening to a piano and violin performance. The hotel is just one subway stop from Sannomiya. It's also easy to walk to the Kitano-cho (Ijinkan Street) area and then to Sannomiya. My only minor complaint was that our room was quite close to the elevator; I would have preferred a room further away. The hotel also offers a direct bus service to Kansai Airport, but it only runs twice a day, at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Since we missed the 11:00 AM bus, we took the subway one stop to the Sannomiya Bus Terminal, which is diagonally opposite Hankyu, where buses run every 20 minutes – also quite convenient.

It's a bit of a walk from the station. The famous internet-famous church cafe is just a three-minute walk behind it. There's a Matsuya downstairs, perfect for breakfast. I stayed in a double room by myself and had plenty of space to open my suitcase. All the essential amenities were there, and the lighting was adjustable. I thought the service was great; the front desk always greeted me when I came and went.

The room is very comfortable, quiet, and clean. The mattress is also very comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly. When we arrived, there was no parking space available right in front of the hotel, and the front desk employee went outside in the rain to guide us to another parking spot in the lot across the street. There is a coffee maker available in the lobby for morning coffee.

Great location, right between Himeji Castle and Himeji Station. It's just one block from Himeji Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. The hotel is surrounded by shopping and dining areas, including popular old coffee shops and oden restaurants. Himeji Castle is also only about a 6-7 minute walk away, and you can enjoy it just by looking at it from the outside. The hotel is very new, and the rooms are a decent size (by Japanese hotel standards).

ZZhezidashuA very satisfying trip to Awaji Island was made even better by our hotel. Everything was arranged in the best way. We changed buses from Kyoto and confirmed the pick-up station through the Ctrip platform. When we arrived, it was still early, so we took the free shuttle bus to go shopping (with luggage back to the hotel). We used the coupons to buy lunch and ice cream at Hello Kitty. When checking in, the male waiters all kneel down to serve, and confirm the information of dinner and going out the next day. The room we stayed in is a single-family round house like a yurt with a viewing balcony and a wooden bath. The details of the room are all local characteristics (dressing box, free mini bar/dessert, washbasin are all petrified wood). The central roof is transparent and empty, and you can also observe the stars. We enjoyed the food here for 5 days, especially the dinner was not repeated and changed in various styles. What surprised me was that the waitress could perform saxophone and flute at dinner, and there was a restaurant like a stage on the island where you could also enjoy the waiter's musical performance. The 20,000 consumption vouchers given for 5 days are enough for you to go out for free at noon. We also bought Hello Kitty exclusive gifts for the children at the Big Apple with the vouchers. This trip to Awaji Island is more memorable than the trip to Kyoto, and the people are simple and honest. Everyone is working hard to promote tourism in Awaji Island, which is worthy of praise. I will bring my children here next time.

AAnonymous User对不是日本人完全不友善的酒店 Not foreigner ( Western & Asian) friendly. We travelled around 70 Roykan in the last 3 years and this is the wrost service we ever had. Japanese get to seat and offered juices when they checked in while we have to stand at the front desk and no juice offered. We asked for the yukata rental (free rental) and the young staff just ignore us twice. We asked for sizes a few times then he just said it’s all here. Then when we picking the only two small sizes he grabbed and give it to the Japanese girl and ignore us or never ask us before he took it as he knows we are looking into those. Very rude. Most of ryokan will bring you to the room or assist to bring luggage or already put in the room for you. This one you do everything yourself after check in. When we get into the hotel room it’s hot as no aircon is on. Then air con is broken so we called reception. With their broken English they insisted I don’t know how to turn on the aircon which I told them the air con is broken, after 15mins on the phone showing me how to on I keep telling them to send the staff up as we are so hot in the room as it’s summer and no window open and no fan was on after moving luggage. They came up and fix the air con for 45mins then told us it’s broken and need to change room. The whole hour we were sweating but no offer of water / drinks or anything and we just stand in the room while they fixing. When they decided the room need to be changed, they asked us to wait downstairs but leave the luggage in the room so we thought they will move luggage to the new room but they did not. Staff see us so hot at lobby didn’t tell us there is free drinking machine that we can get ice juices , they just watch us hot and sweat and not saying a word. When the new room is finished, they gave us the new room key and asked us to move the luggage ourself and return the old key. No help at all and wasted 1.5 hours of our onsen time. No apologies as well. I feel like being treated like a trash. Not enjoyable at all. I paid extra for the sea view room which when they change my room they offered a slightly bigger room but my sea view was mostly blocked (in the pic )which I am not so happy. There is amenities corner at the lobby, at night after the onsen we come back and want to take the lotion as early on it was gone and they didn’t replenish, the female staff have a bad attitude and flip her eyes ask us which room we stayed, we showed her the key and she said the cream is already in the room which her broken English. There is one set in the room but those are small one time pack which we finish after we had the onsen so we want to take another one. She was rude and insist we can’t take. Her attitude was so bad seems like we are stealing. There is an amenities cornor, if you not allowing guest to take please do not have this setup. Food is okay with the buffet. Wagyu beef is nice but they is a normal standard for Japanese onsen buffet nothing too special. Overall, with the price paying compare to other roykan in Japan, this hotel have very bad service to non Japanese. There is also nothing special for this onsen. Probably best to try somewhere else.

MMingziI stayed here for three nights in July 2024, and when I came back to Kobe, I naturally chose the same hotel. This time, the room was significantly larger than the previous one of the same type. The bed was still quite firm, which is a real plus for anyone with back issues. I slept soundly, as always. There's a Don Quijote right outside the door, and the famous Ikuta Shrine is just a few hundred meters away. Sannomiya Station is also only about a 7-8 minute walk. The area around the hotel is very lively, with all sorts of small restaurants and shops. The disposable amenities provided by the front desk were excellent, especially the hair ties, which my daughter particularly approved of.

GGuest UserThis was my second stay at Hotel Okura and it's definitely the most satisfying hotel I've experienced across all my trips to Japan. Even though it's an older hotel, opened in '89, the interior is incredibly well-maintained. The elevators, especially, are so smooth and fast! We stayed during Chinese New Year this time, and the service was excellent. A bellboy helped us with our luggage up to the room (though it seems this service isn't always available, as it wasn't during my last visit). The hotel boasts unbeatable ocean views, and the back exit leads directly to Kobe Port. While it's not in the bustling Sannomiya area, it's only about a ten-minute walk to places like the Former Foreign Settlement and Motomachi for dining and city walks. Kobe has so many interesting little shops to explore. There's also a shuttle bus service to Sannomiya. I just discovered this time that there's a FamilyMart convenience store right on the hotel's lobby level, which is super convenient. The room was a generous 40 square meters, which is incredibly spacious for Japan. For the same price point, you'd be stuck in a tiny shoebox in Osaka, Kyoto, or Tokyo. The TV now comes with Netflix! (This is a huge improvement over the terrible TVs at places like the Vessel Hotel in Osaka, where I could never get screen mirroring to work and there were no channels). While Kobe might not have as much nightlife as Osaka, my family was happily binging 'Single's Inferno Season 5' in the room. The toiletries provided are Pola, and there's even an umbrella in the room.

GGuest UserI'm fairly certain this hotel used to be the Daiwa Royal Hotel. I've stayed here many times before, even under its previous name, but this was my first visit since the rebranding. Considering the high price, the amenities provided were quite basic. On a positive note, the complimentary drinks and snacks were a nice touch. The most significant disappointment was the 50-minute wait for breakfast. Had this not been an issue, my stay would have been far more satisfactory. During peak times, such as the busy summer holiday season, I strongly suggest they consider expanding the breakfast area or increasing its capacity. Despite the wait, the breakfast itself was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, this lengthy delay significantly impacted our sightseeing plans for the day.

LL W CI found the rooms surprisingly spacious and comfortable for Japan, easily accommodating my needs with great lighting and bedding. I was impressed by the excellent cleanliness and appreciated the professional, English-speaking staff who helped me with local tips and luggage. While I enjoyed the convenient facilities like the private bath areas and free amenities, I did notice some areas where the hotel could update older fixtures or be more consistent with daily maintenance.

SShanqiqianchunWe used this hotel as a base for our trip to Amagasaki. It was close to the station and had all the necessary amenities, so we had a very comfortable stay. It was a good memory to travel with my family. Access to Hanshin Amagasaki was just a short bus ride away, so there were no problems. The hotel staff were also very friendly. As is common in hotels, it was very dry, but the air purifier provided was clean and we used it without hesitation.
