The SIGAR Hotel at Sutera Bay.

I had an early morning flight and when I checked in, the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful, making me feel like they looked down on Chinese people because of the language barrier. The check-in process was incredibly slow, and they seemed very impatient. In the room, the two air conditioners blew directly at my face, and I couldn't adjust them to stop. The trash from my first day wasn't collected even by the third day. The service staff are clearly lacking, and their efficiency is very poor. There's a night market nearby that's piled high with garbage and infested with rats – it's absolutely disgusting and terrifying. The hotel's location, despite being in the city center, is quite out of the way and hard to find. It seems to attract many tour groups, as the lobby is always crowded. The rooms are also quite noisy. Overall, my experience was very bad. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The night market nearby also plays loud music until midnight, which is extremely disruptive.

The room was very spacious and clean, perfect for a family. The view was beautiful, and we could even watch the sunset. Downstairs was very convenient with a laundry room and a 24-hour convenience store. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and could communicate well in both English and Mandarin. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The bedsheets in the room probably hadn't been changed; I had an allergic reaction all over my body the first night. The shower stall had no door, so water got everywhere after showering. The air conditioner remote also didn't work. The Muslim prayers in the middle of the night were incredibly loud and truly startling. On top of that, the soundproofing was terrible. However, the front desk staff were very good and their service attitude was excellent.

On the first day of our stay, we opened the room door and went to the bathroom, only to find no toilet paper, just an empty roll. The floor had obvious water stains, and the dining table had sticky sugar marks from a beverage bottle. When we wanted to rinse a cup for brushing our teeth, we discovered the cups hadn't been washed and still had residue from the previous guest. We ran into housekeeping when we returned from dinner that day and asked for new cups, but by the time we checked out on the third day, no one had brought them. It felt like no one cared. The only positive service we received was from the luggage storage and front desk staff, who were quite friendly. The toiletries were minimal: only toothbrushes, shower caps, and large bottles of shower gel and shampoo (one of which wouldn't dispense liquid, and upon inspection, was missing the internal tube – broken...). A very poor stay overall ⚠️⚠️⚠️

The room is spacious and the bed is large. It's very convenient for getting around, eating, and shopping.

The rooms were spacious. I asked for them to be cleaned for the next day, but when I returned at 4 PM, it was still dirty. I was quite unhappy about that.

This hotel is great value for money! I’ll definitely stay here again if I come back. Seriously, don't even bother with other places, just come here! The staff are really friendly too.
