The Grand Hotel offers decent value for money, though it's a bit on the expensive side. The room rates are pretty good, all things considered. It's located near the beach, but honestly, the surrounding sandy areas aren't all that great.

This hotel offers great value for money, and the breakfast spread is fantastic. They have complimentary drinks and beer every day. The Chinese staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's right next to the monorail but surprisingly quiet. The location is excellent, just off Kokusai Dori.

I had a wonderful stay at the JR Kyushu Blossom Naha! The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s incredibly convenient being so close to a 7-Eleven and a drug store—perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or any toiletries you might have forgotten. I was a bit worried about the room temperature after reading some previous reviews mentioning the air conditioner being hot, but I honestly didn’t experience that issue at all. The AC worked perfectly fine for us and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The room itself was a pleasant surprise—it felt much more spacious than your typical hotel room in Japan, so we had plenty of space to open up our suitcases without any trouble. The daily basic cleaning was consistent and kept the room tidy throughout our stay. If you’re looking for a hassle-free, comfortable, and well-located hotel in Naha, this is a great choice

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is incredible – we could walk to American Village, which made shopping, dining, and picking up souvenirs super convenient. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and the service was attentive and thoughtful, making our trip with kids much easier. Overall, it offered excellent value for money. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we visit!

My stay at the Rembrandt Style Hotel Naha Okinawa was absolutely perfect! The room was much more spacious than I expected, feeling open and airy, with a vintage Rembrandt-style decor. Even with luggage, there was plenty of space to move around comfortably. The most amazing part was the ocean view from the window—just pull back the curtains, and you're greeted by a clear blue sea. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing and falling asleep to the sea breeze was incredibly therapeutic. Although it's a bit of a walk from the train station, getting around by taxi was very convenient. This distance actually provided a sense of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, making it ideal for travelers who want to fully immerse themselves in Naha's sea views. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit!

This might be the best hotel on Senagajima… hmm… the sunset is beautiful, the sea view is beautiful, and watching planes take off and land is also beautiful… but… the hotel's hot spring had a rotten, watery smell, the restroom on the first floor was dirty, there were ants in the room, and it was clear that many facilities hadn't even been wiped down in a long time. The staff were actually quite patient, and English communication was fine, but then there was an unexpected incident: I am very sure my wife and I are mindful of noise levels in public, yet during dinner, simply because I borrowed a phone, an elderly Japanese man at the next table, without any warning, yelled “shut up” like an animal. And the nearby staff member did nothing… If it weren't for considering international relations and being in a foreign country, I really would have wanted to have a vocabulary contest with that animal-like old man… To be honest, this was my first time encountering such an incident in Japan, but the hotel staff’s inaction completely ruined my impression of the place.

Could check in really quickly without waiting in line so that was great. There were not that many washing machines, and it was difficult to use them because other guests would not come and collect their own laundry even after the machine had finished running. There was a sign saying that the neglected laundry would be collected after 10 minutes, but there weren't any staff keeping an eye on this anyway, so the warning sign wasn't helpful. Staff also seemed reluctant to provide more tea in the room even though they only have two tea bags every other day for a week-long stay. Even when asked, they would only initially offer one tea bag without asking if more were needed.

The hotel was clean, and the room size was not too small for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Most of all, I was satisfied that we could have a healthy breakfast at this price. When we signed up for the Vessel membership, we received an Orion beer as a gift, and perhaps because we stayed in a Ryukyu room, they also gave us Ryukyu King Team clothing. My daughter left her clothes and glasses in the public bath, but when I went to the reception the next day, they had them safely kept, which I was very grateful for.

The room is just right for couples. Nice sea view during high tide. Lots of parking lots behind the hotel. Can bring less clothings as there are washing machine and dryer. The staffs were friendly. Toiletries provided beside the front counter. Can ask the staff for extra bottle water. Exchange clean towels anytime. Complimentary simple breakfast provided is a plus. The only “complaint” is that bed is too soft for seniors like us. Other than this everything was great.

It is an absolutely beautiful location with private beach access and several pools. Most staff were kind and friendly. The food was delicious and provided many options for vegetarians. We will definitely go back to this resort again in the future. The only two complaints is that the pools close too early and the maid service doesn't arrive to clean rooms until around 17:00, which is the same time guests come back to their rooms to get ready for dinner after a long day outside. I have done a lot of traveling and maid service almost always comes between 11:00-14:00. So it seemed weird that we left our hotel room at 10:00 and returned at 17:00 to a still messy room.

GGuest UserWe booked last minute because the price was so good we couldn’t resist. First time staying here over night but have eaten at their dinner buffet here about 13 years ago. The room was so nice and so was the shower and bathroom. We had the view of the lighthouse and the ocean which was super nice. Breakfast was included with our hotel voucher and it was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. So many options and I got so full and didn’t even get to try everything unfortunately. I’d definitely stay again since I don’t live too far from there. Just need to find certain days when prices are under $100 when usually they’re at least $250 minimum without breakfast being included.

Cchloe_ccThe bathroom isn't separated into wet and dry areas, which is a bit odd. There's no humidifier or air purifier in the room. I booked a twin room, but it was so small that the two beds were practically pushed together. Cleanliness: Just average. The carpet and sofa even had some dirt on them. Service: Non-existent. Location: It's a bit far from Kokusai Dori! If you don't want to be constantly traveling back and forth, I wouldn't recommend this place. For over a thousand a night, this hotel is overpriced and not worth it! You'd be better off staying at the Hilton next door. This was a poor choice.

RRufengPros: The rooftop pool and jacuzzi were decent, good for kids. It's not too far from Kokusai Dori, Naminoue Shrine, or the monorail station. Breakfast was okay, and there's a smoking room on the first floor. The hairdryer and toiletries were quite good. Cons: The Wi-Fi was terrible, constantly disconnecting. There was a weird smell coming from the bathroom. I also distinctly felt that the front desk staff showed more patience when assisting Western and ********* guests compared to guests from mainland China (even when mainland Chinese guests were equally well-behaved). Of course, the front desk still maintained a Japanese standard of service, but the difference was noticeable.

Yyan128This place is very beautiful, the room is independent, there is a terrace, you can clearly see the stars, you can see the Galaxy that night. From the airport directly to the accommodation, take a taxi 4100, 30 minutes. There is a western restaurant near the accommodation. It is very recommended. The landlord has prepared a perfect restaurant information map , Very intimate. Very exquisite and attentive B&B, highly recommended

GGuest UserReview of Onna Resort, Okinawa About me: I’m a frequent flyer to Japan and a long-time fan of staying at villas and resorts across the country. I enjoy discovering different accommodations across Japan. This time, I chose Onna Resort for a relaxing group trip. ⸻ 👍 What I liked: • Spacious resort– Very roomy and comfortable, easily fits 7–8 people. Perfect for families or groups of friends. • Clean and well-maintained – The entire resort was spotless and felt well cared for. • View exactly as shown in photos – Stunning ocean view that matches the listing. Great for enjoying sunrise and sunset. • Beach nearby – A beach is within walking distance. While it may not be the best in Okinawa, it’s still nice for a stroll or quick swim. • Washer and dryer setup – Includes both a washer-dryer combo and a separate dryer, which is especially handy for drying towels and clothes after swimming. • Well-equipped kitchen – Good selection of cookware and appliances for preparing meals. • Private and quiet surroundings – Peaceful setting with no disturbance from other guests. ⸻ 👎 What could be improved: • Inconsistent check-in information – The email offered early check-in, and a staff member via video call said I could check in at 2pm. But when I arrived, another staff said it was 3pm. This communication gap should be addressed. • Missing basic items – No cups or glasses were provided, obviously an oversight by the cleaning staff. • Limited towel supply – Towels are provided strictly based on headcount. Given the proximity to the beach, it would be more convenient to offer a few extra towels without needing to ask. • Limited Coffee Supply - The resort provides coffee bags based on headcount as well, which was insufficient for guests who consume two or three cups daily. A more generous and considerate coffee supply would enhance the experience. • Insufficient tableware – Only two large plates were provided. It would be more practical to include additional small dishes, rice bowls, and condiment plates (e.g. for soy sauce or wasabi), especially for guests who plan to cook. • Lack of basic cooking ingredients – It would be helpful if staple items like cooking oil, salt, and pepper were provided to make meal preparation more convenient. • No power outlets near beds – Most sockets were located low on the wall and away from sleeping areas, making it inconvenient to charge phones or devices overnight. • Weak Wi-Fi signal in places – Internet connection was spotty in some areas of the villa, although it offers several wifi spots within the resort, but still weak

AAnonymous UserWe booked a 27-square-meter twin room, and it was very comfortable for a family of three. There was still plenty of space to move around even after opening our large suitcases. Since we have a one-year-old baby, the hotel thoughtfully pushed the twin beds together and against the wall beforehand, which was very considerate. The hand soap and shampoo provided by the hotel were of good quality and pleasant to use. There were also many free disposable toiletries available for self-service in the lobby, which was very convenient. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every day as long as we put the blue sign outside our door before 10 AM. The hotel's location is close to the tram station, and there are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. It was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

YYan ReevesWe had spent 4 nights at the hotel during the Golden Week which might have influenced the perception of service, but not dramatically. Among the advantages of the hotel are: nice spacious rooms (ours had a stunning sea view); generally good location with beautiful nature and access to the beaches where you could actually swim (not a given on the island) - at least until the tide goes too low; reasonably good food across the restaurants with rather friendly prices; stylish bar with quality drinks. Among the disadvantages are: very non-Japanese service (generally not very helpful, with low penetration of English among the staff) and lack of attention to detail that could make the resort actually very nice - again, not very typical case for Japan. A few pieces of advice to the management: 1. Bring the option of in-room breakfast. If a guest is sick and can’t go down, it’s impossible to order in-room breakfast on the day, while rooms service opens at 11:30. Same frustration goes to the coffee stall downstairs that doesn’t serve coffee during earlier breakfast hours 2. Consider equipping rooms with coffee machines and contemporary electronics - low costs to take, yet massive disadvantage for the 5* status for not having them 3. Pay more attention to room service: we spent 48h without shampoo and shower gel. Our glasses were washed occasionally. New bottles of drinking water arrived only once. 4. Fix the beach! The amenities there look like a poor community beach area, especially those shameful umbrellas. You have reasonable amenities at the pool - why not spreading them to the beach areas to make them feel more like a resort rather than public beaches that no one gave any care? 5. Gym and SPA amenities could use a bit of refreshment. I won’t mention SPA service itself which might be a result of poor luck with the specific technician 6. Empty mini bar equals lost revenue. You could easily cover the modifications above through adding more options for people to enjoy drinks at their balconies. What makes staying in Japan truly special - genuine care and attention to every detail - was completely missing over our stay at this Hyatt. In fact, we consistently had that feeling “this could actually be really nice” and then something would go terribly wrong with the awkward service. The hotel that looks like 5* on pictures leaves a 3* aftertaste at max. I am only writing this because I felt it didn’t have to - those are easy aspects to fix.

ZZiyourenThis is a classic five-star resort hotel, though its location is a bit off the beaten path. While a bus serves the main road near the village entrance, it's a 200-meter walk from there to the hotel's complimentary shuttle stop. Alternatively, a taxi from the bus stop to the hotel costs 900 JPY. The rooms are quite spacious, equipped with a sofa and a balcony, and come with complimentary mineral water and a coffee machine. However, the bathrooms are a bit dated, and the ventilation system is weak. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available on the first floor. Service is excellent. Upon arrival, bellhops promptly greeted us and took our luggage directly to our room. The breakfast buffet was also very impressive. The hotel features a swimming pool and offers direct, free access to the beach. There are plenty of paid water activities, making it ideal for a family vacation.

GGuest UserThe staff were really nice. Even though there was a language barrier with the lady downstairs, she was very patient and used a translation app to communicate with us. However, the app wasn't very accurate. When we went upstairs to check in, it turned out there was a ********* person at the front desk, which was great. Still, we had to wait quite a while to check in, even though there was no one else at the desk at the time. The room was pretty spacious, and everything else was fine. The location is also quite convenient, and the restaurant downstairs is good. After checking in, it was past 3 PM, so we went downstairs to eat. The server asked if we wanted the restaurant or cafe. When she gave us the menu, we realized we only had about five or six minutes before lunch orders closed, but they still took our order! The set meal and the beef rice bowl were both really delicious. Definitely worth trying if you're staying here.

AAnonymous UserThis was my second stay at this hotel, and it's definitely one I'd recommend. However, it does have quite a few drawbacks. First off, the service is just okay. Some staff members are quite lazy and have a bad attitude – you have to ask them three times before they do anything. Also, when I was checking in, I had my hands full with bags and a suitcase, and they just stood there watching. They didn't offer any help at all, and then asked me to sign something. My phone was in a bag, so if they had just helped me with my luggage, I could have freed up a hand to sign. Secondly, the soundproofing is terrible. I could hear every word from the room next door as if they were speaking right beside me! Also, many people have mentioned that the rooms are too bright, and it's true. The lights from outside shine directly in at night, mainly because the curtains are too thin. On the positive side, the beach is beautiful, with some of the best sand in Onna Village. The hotel's outdoor public areas are also aesthetically pleasing, with beautiful plant and flower arrangements. Breakfast offers an average variety, but the taste is decent. There's a fishing port nearby, and as soon as you step out, you'll find tons of restaurants with plenty of delicious food. It's a top choice in Onna Village. If you're bothered by older properties, you might want to reconsider, as this hotel is over 50 years old. However, it's very well-maintained! Plus, the rooms don't have wall-to-wall carpeting, so there's less dust. Overall, it's my first choice for a stay in Onna Village. If you prioritize the room and interior design, you could choose the Hotel Monterey next door – its interiors are much better, but its beach is very average. Choose Hotel Monterey if you prioritize the room; choose here if you prioritize the beach.
