The Zhonglian Hotel is one of the best-located hotels in Dandong, sitting right on the Yalu River with direct views of the Broken Bridge and even across to North Korea. The hotel is older and a bit dated, but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable, and the vintage décor gives an old-time atmosphere that makes the stay unique.
Breakfast is available with both Chinese and some Western choices, though the variety could be improved . Staff are polite and helpful, and the riverside location makes it easy to enjoy evening walks or explore nearby restaurants.

After a long journey, I was seeking a peaceful retreat, and I unexpectedly stumbled upon this lodging – what a delightful surprise! This stay truly felt like a dream come true.
The decor was understated yet elegant, and the courtyard offered a wonderfully serene and quiet escape. The soft, ambient lighting created a tranquil atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and peace, as if a gentle warmth permeated my being. A subtle, pleasant fragrance wafted through the air, and the absolute silence felt dream-like.
The bed was incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud, and the duvet was wonderfully light. I drifted off to sleep almost instantly and enjoyed a deep, undisturbed rest until the early hours. There were no barking dogs or harsh lights to interrupt my slumber. I had a profoundly peaceful night, waking up completely refreshed, as if transported to another realm of tranquility.
The room was meticulously tidy, with everything neatly arranged. I noticed the pristine white sink and the calm, still water, reflecting a sense of peace. The amenities provided were exceptional: fragrant, high-quality soap, incredibly soft towels, and good toothbrushes and bath products that truly lived up to their promise, not just generic items. The room was absolutely spotless, sparkling clean in every corner. Using the facilities felt incredibly refreshing, like washing with pure mountain spring water and rinsing with sweet dew. All the day's dust and fatigue simply melted away, leaving me completely rejuvenated.
Outside the window, there was a gentle hum of street life, hinting at a bustling area nearby. Just a few steps downstairs, I found an incredible array of street food stalls. The air was filled with delicious aromas from charcoal grills, and the food was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. From golden fried pancakes resembling sunsets to glistening candied haw, and perfectly grilled squid with a delightful sweet and spicy kick, it was a true culinary treat. Even as night fell, the area remained lively with many people enjoying the vibrant atmosphere.
I also loved the convenience of public transportation right on the doorstep, offering easy access to explore widely, whether I wanted to visit distant attractions or simply head to the seaside. This proximity to transport truly made exploring the city effortless.
What truly stood out was the exceptional staff, especially the front desk personnel. They were incredibly welcoming and warm, always ready with a gentle smile and a helpful word. My questions were answered quickly and efficiently, and they made me feel so genuinely cared for, as if we were old friends. Their kindness and genuine hospitality truly made this place feel like home.
The room was well-equipped with modern amenities. The air conditioning was effective and easy to use, and there were plenty of TV channels to choose from. I appreciated the pleasant wall art and the convenient bedside lamp. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, allowing me to browse the web effortlessly without any lag.
But what truly amazed me was the price – this place offers incredible value for money, something truly rare to find in the city. For a similar price, it would be hard to find another place that combines such refinement with peaceful comfort. It’s not flashy, but it’s tastefully done and genuinely peaceful. I honestly wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself; a single night here felt like a dream.
I had initially planned only a short stay, but by the time I left, I felt a deep reluctance to depart. Even after I was gone, my thoughts kept returning to this wonderful place, and I found myself dreaming of that comfortable bed. If anyone asks me where this hidden gem is, I'd almost be hesitant to share, lest I disturb its serene magic. Suffice it to say, it felt like a bed among the clouds, offering a night that truly transcended the ordinary.
The final photos capture Dalian's 'Venice of the East' (Water City), which is just one example of the beautiful scenery in the area. To sum it all up: beautiful surroundings, pleasant weather, delicious and diverse local cuisine with unique flavors, and truly exceptional service. I'd particularly like to commend 'Xiao Wang' for their outstanding attitude and helpfulness. I've written so much because this place truly deserves all the praise. I highly recommend staying here!

An absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm.
A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dalian truly is a fantastic city!

The environment here is fantastic. The room was much bigger than I expected, the bedding was clean and odorless, and the A/C cooled down the room really fast. The hot water in the shower was super abundant and the temperature was stable! The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic and helped me find some affordable local eats nearby (there's a night market just a 3-minute walk away!). While the facilities aren't luxurious, it has everything you need (fast WiFi, plenty of outlets, a large mirror), perfectly suiting a short stay. It's truly a value-for-money king – students and budget travelers, go for it!

This stay was a far cry from my visit in March this year. Both times, I booked Executive Club rooms primarily for the lounge access to relax.
1. **High Deposit**: For a three-day stay, they charged a 6500 RMB deposit. I found it quite high and double-checked, but the front desk staff was unhelpful and curt, simply stating it was hotel policy.
2. **Insufficient Water**: On the day of check-in, there were only three 350ml bottles of water. By 6 PM, I ran out and had to resort to drinking tap water from the bathroom. When I returned in the afternoon, the water situation hadn't improved, so I called housekeeping, and they brought two 500ml bottles. The next day, it was the same story! I even had my cold and fever medication laid out in the room, yet the staff didn't think to simply provide more water, like six bottles straight away?
3. **Slippers**: Yes, when I came back on the second day, I needed new slippers because the ones from the first day were completely soaked after our shower, but no fresh slippers were provided by housekeeping.
4. **The Embarrassing Afternoon**: On my third day, I decided to extend my stay for another night. I informed the front desk about this at 2 PM that afternoon. What followed was a truly embarrassing and frustrating afternoon. I explicitly told the front desk that I had a cold and a fever, needed rest, didn't want any fruit or anything, and just wanted to sleep. That afternoon, housekeeping staff brought water, slippers, and fruit in three separate trips. I was running a fever and desperately wanted to sleep, but I had to keep getting up to answer the door! I then realized I hadn't pressed the 'Do Not Disturb' button (not blaming the staff, but I had already clearly told the front desk I didn't want fruit and just wanted to sleep), so I immediately activated DND. At 5 PM, I thought I could finally get some sleep. The moment I drifted off, the front desk called, asking if I wanted to check out, extend my stay, or refresh my key card, etc. (Don't your systems track this?!). At that point, I just wanted to go home!!!
The Front Office Manager's approach to resolving the issue was quite subjective. During dinner at the restaurant, I was given a hotel cartoon mascot as a 'solution.' When she called, she did express apologies for these issues and offered me a discount of just over 150 RMB (which I believe was the difference for the executive lounge when I mistakenly extended to a different room type for the fourth night). She clearly had no idea about the embarrassing experience I had that afternoon. The next morning, still running a fever, I had to listen to her lecture me. That's when I decided to write my first truly serious negative review! I hope the hotel ensures they always have enough water and slippers ready! What's the point of charging such a high deposit?

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly opposite Shenyang North Railway Station and just a stone's throw from the subway. The surrounding area is bustling with dining options, offering a wide variety of choices. Several establishments, including Siji Chenmian, are open 24 hours, which is incredibly convenient. If you get hungry late at night, you can enjoy a hot bowl of noodles within minutes.
The front desk staff and other service personnel were all very pleasant – warm, witty, and polite.
Now for the downsides.
Firstly, the location is a double-edged sword. While it's incredibly convenient, it also means the area can be relatively noisy.
Secondly, the hotel's interior decor is relatively dated. There are limited power outlets near the bed. The TV, with its analog signal and only a few channels, is largely ornamental. The central air conditioning also produces noise when switched on. While none of these are major concerns, they did, to some extent, impact the overall guest experience.
Overall, considering the price, it offers good value for money. Hopefully, by my next visit to Shenyang, the hotel will have undergone some refreshing improvements!

This hotel is a hidden gem for families with kids, making our stay easy and heartwarming! My biggest concern when traveling with a three or four-year-old is finding suitable accommodation, but this hotel completely put my worries to rest. They thoughtfully provided kids' toothbrushes, slippers, and a small plush toy. The room was spacious, and the bed height was perfect for little ones to get in and out of. The breakfast at the Horizon Club was also excellent. During our stay, the Guest Relations Manager, Lisa, checked in with us daily to see how we were doing, which was a very thoughtful and meticulous touch! This hotel gets full marks and is definitely a top choice for families with kids. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

1. The hotel's guest rooms are very modern in design, with a reasonable layout of space, especially the large floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Fushun, which is simply refreshing! ”
2. The breakfast in the hotel's restaurant is delicious, with freshly made wontons, fried dumplings, and Western snacks.
3. The hotel's gym is fully equipped, newly renovated, and spacious and bright. The swimming pool has clear water and an elegant environment. There are also professional lifeguards on site, which allows people to feel a full sense of security while enjoying swimming. ”
4. The hotel rooms are clean and hygienic, and the cleaning is very thorough. When checking out, they also remind me of the parking ticket. The manager took the initiative to contact me and helped me mail my belongings when I left them in the room. Thank you so much. The details are well done and the service is first-class.

Staying at The Castle Hotel Dalian truly defines a 'landmark experience'! This European-style castle, perched halfway up the mountain, looks grand and dreamlike from afar, with exquisite details up close. Every photo you take turns out stunning.
The sea-view room was an amazing surprise. The enormous floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge, bringing the magnificent scenery right into the room. Watching the sunset over the sea in the evening was incredibly romantic.
The service was impeccable – warm and attentive. They were prompt during meals, and the breakfast spread was rich, even featuring local Dalian specialties. Its proximity to Xinghai Square makes getting around very convenient, and the sky garden in the common area is a hidden gem for scenic views.
This castle getaway completely captivated me. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Dalian!

Excellent
SShenzhenyerenA truly upscale hotel.
The decor is very stylish and well-designed. They pay attention to the details; for instance, the stainless steel towel rack is heated, a bit warm to the touch, which can dry your towels and prevents that cold, metallic feeling after a hot shower.
The location is excellent, with convenient transportation.
My room was on a high floor, offering great city views. The front desk is on the 88th floor, and the elevators are incredibly fast; you can definitely feel the pressure change in your ears on the way up.
MM305408****The location of the hotel is very easy to find. You can see the hotel directly on the right side after exiting Jinzhou Station. The lobby is very spacious and bright. There is a faint fragrance as soon as you enter. The front desk brother is very nice and helped us check in. The room is very clean and tidy. My mother and daughter like it very much. Although it is close to the station, it is very quiet to sleep at night. It is also close to Linghe Night Market and can be reached on foot. There are also shopping malls. It is very convenient to live here. The bus to the Little Potala Palace can also be reached in 10 minutes on foot. There are many types of breakfast, as well as plates for children. Milk, soy milk, coffee, yogurt are also complete, as well as Jinzhou-style roast chicken and sausages. The breakfasts on both days are different. There were fruits every afternoon, free cola and mineral water in the room refrigerator. The customer service was considerate enough to put the shoes on the bench at the door when they saw that no one was in the room. We stayed for two days including Saturday. When we came back from the night market at night, there was a girl singing on the first floor of the hotel. It was very pleasant to listen to her for a while. We checked out at 2 pm, but because we had a 5 pm train, we delayed the check-out to 4 pm, but the front desk guy said it was not cost-effective, so we left our things in the hotel and gave us a souvenir. We were very satisfied. My daughter said that she would definitely stay at Manxin Hotel next time she had the chance, as she didn't stay long enough. Thanks to the customer service and the front desk guy for their considerate service over the past two days. We will come again next time we have the chance.

MM57101****What a surprise, I booked it for one day at first, fearing it would be uncomfortable. I didn't expect the boss and the front desk service to be so good. So I booked another day. The air conditioner in the middle room was broken, so the boss took the initiative to change the room. The cleaning lady was as warm and welcoming as a family member. She took such good care of our family that we felt embarrassed. The hotel is not far from anywhere and has its own parking lot. I had a great time staying in Shenyang this time. Thank you to all the hotel staff and thank you for your service.
AAnonymous UserDuring the National Day holiday, I brought my child to Qinghe Peninsula. After checking in, I added the concierge on WeChat. Since our room wasn't ready yet, my family and I went straight to the hot spring area.
The hot spring area is divided into an indoor water play zone and an outdoor hot spring zone. Both areas are very large and offer a lot to do. The water in the play zone was comfortably warm, and my child had a great time. After leaving the hot springs, I contacted the concierge, who brought the room key and led us to our room. The room I booked was quite far from the elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. Although the room was large, it was very cold, and I'm not sure why there was no air conditioning. The room itself was clean, and there was a private hot tub on the balcony with very warm water.
I want to specifically highlight the excellent concierge service. They provided us with an electric heater, and because we had a baby with us, they brought extra bottles of mineral water. They also patiently reminded us to be careful about slipping when using the hot springs. Overall, the experience was quite good, and my family was very happy with the arrangements. They even said they'd like to come back more often.
AAnonymous UserI had mistakenly booked a street-view room when I was really hoping for a sea-view one. However, Lin Junjie at the front desk was incredibly helpful! He enthusiastically assisted me in upgrading to a junior suite by just paying the price difference. The room was spacious and offered a fantastic view. The breakfast selection was also extensive – to use a Northeastern Chinese phrase I've just picked up, it was 'gaga-de' (absolutely superb)! Definitely a top rating!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

The bathroom was equally spotless, with modern fixtures and a well - maintained shower area. It was evident that the hotel staff took great pride in keeping the premises clean.
