Right at the entrance of fenghuang. Very convenient for luggage handling as car arrives right at doorstep. Theres no didi in fenghuang but hotel contacted to assist to arrange for transport from train station for fee charged by driver. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. There are no lifts but they assisted in carrying our big luggages up. Room is big and clean, excellent view. Overall a wonderful stay.

The hotel still picked us up from Furongzhen Railway Station and drove us to the scenic area even though I had already changed trains twice that day and made it terribly confusing for them to know what time I'd arrive. The scenic area required a small entry fee and ticket. They walked us to the hotel and helped us check in. The town is absolutely stunning and the photos attached are only photos I took from near our hotel. You can walk to the Waterfall in a few minutes. The hotel room itself was spacious and clean with nearly everything made out of wood giving it a very unique vibe. The morning breakfast was very basic but fine. I recommend everyone to stay one night at Furongzhen if you're going to Zhangjiajie, arrive at night and leave in the morning as the lights turn off at around 12am.

Such a lovely stay! The reception lady is always smiling and so welcoming, it truly sets the tone for the whole experience. The hotel is perfectly located, close to delicious food spots, shopping plazas, and busy streets, yet still comfortable and relaxing. The people around the area are so warm and friendly, which made my stay even more special. I felt safe, happy, and well taken care of. Highly recommended! I will definitely come back.

We brought our family to Changsha and booked a standard twin room. The owner saw that we had a bigger group, two adults and two kids, and kindly upgraded us to a cinema family room for free! The experience truly exceeded our expectations, so I absolutely have to give it a five-star review! For families with children, location is key. This hotel is incredibly close to Changsha South Station. It was just a ten-minute walk after getting off the high-speed train, completely saving us the hassle of lugging kids and luggage around. It really got our trip off to a great start. What surprised us the most was the family twin room! The room was genuinely spacious, with a king-sized bed (1.8m) and a standard double bed (1.4m). The kids were rolling around on them, and both beds were more than big enough. We could even watch movies, and the kids were ecstatic the moment they walked in. More importantly, the ample space gave the children room to play, and we could fully unpack our adult luggage without feeling cramped at all. This sense of freedom is so crucial for family travel. Considering the room conditions and convenient location, the value for money is absolutely fantastic! The hotel's overall environment is also excellent – the lobby is bright, the hallways are quiet, and the rooms are spotless. Our entire family was extremely satisfied with this stay. It's definitely a top choice for family trips to Changsha, and we'll certainly be returning next time!

The owner is so welcoming and friendly! There's free parking, and the lobby offers self-service snacks and drinks, plus my favorite ice cream 🍦. Our room was very clean and spacious, and the rooftop lights at night are really cool. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The 'wood barrel fish' across the street is incredibly tasty and tender! The room rate was also very reasonable, and it's located right inside the scenic area, so the location is perfect! Definitely a worthwhile trip!

We had a wonderful stay at Yunmei Bieyuan Hotel with our family! The automatic facilities made our experience seamless and enjoyable—everything from check-in to room controls was high-tech and user-friendly. The spacious and clean rooms offered stunning views, and the breakfast buffet had a fantastic variety that catered to everyone. The kids loved the pool, and the staff was incredibly helpful with local recommendations. Overall, it was a great family getaway, and we can't wait to return!

A little hard to find the right entrance initially. Best is to aim for the elevator of door 6/7 downstairs. There is a convenience store right there which is useful. Lots of other small hotels in the same floor. Room has good views, lots of light. Balcony is nice but lacks privacy and the cage-like surroundings isn't ideal. Not too much space and small sofa/sitting area. Strong shower but you have to walk through the wet shower area to use the toilet. Very comfortable bed. Very friendly staff and very relaxed atmosphere. Popular rice noodle shop nearby called 矮子粉

Our family stayed 2 adult and 2 children in their 5th floor room. Spacious with great view of the river and part of the ancient town. Area is not noisy and far from clubs and bars from the other side of the town. Walking distance from main attraction. Room is clean and tidy with great water pressure. Our host is very friendly and accommodating and made us feel at home. They provide 1 set of traditional costume and you can rent costumes for the rest of the family with minimal charge. It became one of the highlights of our trip. They even helped us get taxi back to the highspeed rail. I definitely recommend this homestay. 😊

Great location and breakfast, minor issue with cigarette smell The breakfast buffet was delicious with a good variety of choices. The hotel is in a very convenient location—only a 5-minute walk to the Tianmen Cable Car, and there are many local food options nearby. The only downside was that a guest staying opposite our room smoked, which caused a mild cigarette smell in our room. Other than that, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel in Changsha. The location is incredibly convenient because it’s just a few steps away from the metro exit, which makes getting around the city fast and hassle-free. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient, and the staff were friendly throughout the whole process. The room was comfortable and well-kept, and I loved that I could see the river right from the window. It added a nice, relaxing touch to the stay. One of the best parts was the big projector in the room, perfect for watching TV and unwinding at night. It made the room feel modern and cozy at the same time. Overall, this hotel offered great convenience, comfort, and value. I’d happily stay here again on my next trip to Changsha!

GGuest UserWe were pleasantly surprised that the room looked exactly like it did in the pictures! It was priceless waking up to these views in the morning. The hotel itself is surrounded by the mountains and there are views from the dining room as well. There is also a tea room where the staff will introduce and brew tea with you for free, and a massage service (outside of the hotel) that they can book for guests. The staff helped to arrange free transport to and from Wulingyuan Entrance, on the days that we wanted to explore the forest. They also helped to book our park tickets, and explained in detai the recommended sightseeing routes. They were extremely responsive and helpful! Breakfast was lovely - there was a selection of breads and pastries, fruits, traditional chinese dumplings, porridge, eggs, and more. The perfect fuel for exploring the forest nearby. Dinner was homestyle cooking, however do note that food may take slightly longer to come during the low season, as there are fewer kitchen staff during that period. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time at Foggy Valley. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind after exploring Zhang Jia Jie Forest Park, I would highly recommend this hotel!

AAnonymous UserI booked this hotel because of its advertised location 50 meters from the subway station, but it turned out to be over 500 meters from the station, all along construction-affected roads, and it was incredibly hot and sunny. There was a large construction site behind the hotel, and the windows couldn't be closed. It's just too new and nothing is fully completed yet. None of my Ctrip benefits were recognized – no breakfast, room upgrade, late check-out, fruit, or snacks. It felt like I couldn't stay there unless I booked through Huazhu. The problem is, even the early booking discount for gold members wasn't as good as the Ctrip price.

YYOPOPOIThe hotel's location is excellent; stepping out, you're right on Taiping Old Street and Pozi Street, the liveliest snack streets. Wuyi Square, a major shopping district, is also within walking distance, making dining, entertainment, and shopping incredibly convenient. The room's bedding was comfortable, and the room itself was simple and clean. The smart control facilities were quite good, and the service was attentive; they arranged a high-floor room for us, which made for a great experience.

EEduarda Carvalho[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app. The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one. You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station. [ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations. The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends. There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village. For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate. About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan. Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.

CCharuka⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truly the Best Stay in Wulingyuan! As a solo traveler, this stay took my trip to another level! A special thanks to the owner, who supported me from the moment I arrived. This is honestly the best place I’ve stayed so far. She helped me with everything—from booking tickets to planning my entire trip. With her proper guidance, I managed to explore all the main attractions within my limited time. Without her help, it would’ve been hard to organize everything so smoothly. I highly recommend booking your tickets directly through the hotel. She arranged my entrance ticket and an unlimited cable car pass at an affordable price, which also saved a lot of time. I didn’t have to wait in long lines—just a quick face scan and everything worked perfectly! Whenever I had a question or small problem, she was always available on text with quick and helpful suggestions. The place itself is affordable, clean, and very comfortable. If you’re visiting Wulingyuan, this place will definitely make your stay easier, happier, and stress-free. Highly recommend it!

CClinomaniac LyeLove our stay! This homestay provided far beyond the basic listed services and truly made our trip to Zhangjiajie memorable. - before our arrival, we already felt the warmth and genuine hospitality. They patiently dialogued with us to plan how best to maximise our time during our 5D4N stay with them, and even considered the days after as we are moving to another homestay. They thoughtfully introduced and mapped out local attractions, helping us make the most of our trip. - We appreciated their transparency when sharing their offerings and discounted rates, giving us space to compare without pressure. This gave us peace of mind even before checking in. - One of the biggest highlights was how the homestay helped bridge the transportation gap. Despite the secluded location, they arranged reliable partner drivers who charged us at very competitive Didi rates, making travel easy and affordable without needing to worry about timing. - We also loved the friendly dogs and cat around the homestay. They brought so much joy and warmth, and playing with them became part of our daily routine. A special shoutout to Butler Jiang (将), who truly went above and beyond. - Upon arrival, he noticed we had caught a cold and politely ask if he could prepare herbal tea for us. This became our daily comfort drink throughout the stay. We even felt shy asking for it so often, but he and the team kindly reminded us it was part of their care. - One unforgettable moment was during a heavy downpour. With the road under government maintenance, access to the homestay became extra challenging for that day. Butler Jiang appeared with multiple umbrellas and a buggy (not something we had seen before!). Since cars couldn’t reach the homestay directly, he walked down to escort guests personally—soaked in rain but making sure each of us stayed dry. When we got on the buggy, we realized he had even opened umbrellas to keep the seats dry. We were deeply touched by his dedication. Upon returning, we were greeted by a joyful gathering of guests enjoying a mini party at the pavilion—a sight that perfectly captured the warmth and spirit of this homestay. Another shoutout to their partnering driver sun (孙): - After we moved to our second homestay, we once got stranded by the roadside because of Didi GPS error that made it difficult for a ride-hailing driver to locate the place. The only option offered by our then homestay was to dropped us at the base of a mountain, where we waited over 15 minutes with no success. Luckily, driver sun from Celestial Valley Homestay recognized us and offered us a ride, so we followed him back to Celestial Valley, and were warmly welcomed again with complimentary tea and another chance to enjoy the view and play with the pets. - driver sun also took on our business and brought us to the city and even took us on another round trip to a faraway attraction. We were no longer guests at that point, yet the hospitality continued. We were truly thankful for the extended service and kindness. This homestay gave us more than just a place to stay—it offered warmth, care, and unforgettable memories. It's this genuine hospitality that makes Celestial Valley such a rare gem. Highly recommended for anyone looking for heartfelt service, breathtaking views and a true home away from home.

AAnonymous UserThis guesthouse is exactly as pictured – no discrepancies at all. The log cabin-style decor is so warm and inviting, truly therapeutic. Every corner is spotless, and the bedding is incredibly soft and gentle on the skin, ensuring a wonderfully deep sleep. The host was incredibly thoughtful, sending detailed check-in instructions and local food recommendations in advance, even marking lesser-known local attractions. They also provided welcome fruit, a complimentary evening congee, and an amazing breakfast! The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to Huangxing Metro Station, making getting around super convenient. The facilities are comprehensive and new, with super-fast Wi-Fi and a clear projector image – it felt even more comfortable than staying in a hotel. The value for money is absolutely incredible! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again on my next visit!

JJocelyn Lim Ying XuanYou’ve Got to Stay Here When You Visit ZJJ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel, and I can’t recommend it enough! Super Convenient Location: It’s just a quick 2-minute drive from the middle gate of ZJJ Forest Park — so you can get in and out easily without any stress. Amazing, Friendly Staff: The team here made everything so easy for us. They helped us book our tickets and even gave us rides to and from the park every day, whenever we wanted. They really went out of their way to make us feel at home. Delicious Food: Breakfast and dinner were seriously tasty — the chefs really know how to cook!!! Helpful and Caring: They created a WeChat group for guests, which was super handy if we had questions or needed help in the forest. It’s such a comforting touch! Sweet Surprise: The staff kindly upgraded our room for free because one was available — that made our stay even more special! +++ gave us a free giftset too!!! If you’re visiting ZJJ, this hotel is the place to be. We’ll definitely stay here again next time!!! 💕

GGuest User🏨 XiFuWan Resort Hotel — Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie (June 12–16, 2025) ⭐ Overall Rating: 5/5 1. Hotel Experience & Unmatched Hospitality My stay at XiFuWan Resort Hotel was truly unforgettable—one of the most heartfelt and sincere displays of hospitality I’ve encountered in all my travels. A family-owned hotel opened in 2024, it makes you feel like a guest in someone’s home rather than a commercial customer. As a solo traveller on a spontaneous trip, I had very little planned. The hotel staff kindly helped secure attraction tickets to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, and ZJJ Grand Canyon, even managing to get them at slightly lower prices than the official sites. The owner—formerly with the Zhangjiajie Tourism Bureau—also provided invaluable advice on routes and timings, tailored to my stay. This made a huge difference in navigating the expansive park efficiently. 2. Cleanliness, Comfort & Amenities The Exceptional Business Double Room was impeccably clean—easily among the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. Rather than a work desk, the room had a lounge table and two chairs by the window, creating a cosy spot to unwind and enjoy the scenery. A wonderful bonus was the complimentary laundry service, which was thoughtful and convenient, especially after outdoor excursions. 3. Generosity & Personal Care I arrived early in the morning and was offered a free early check-in. On departure day, the staff also offered late check-out due to my evening flight, which I truly appreciated. When I felt unwell on my first day, the owner’s father—a retired doctor— kindly offered a medical consultation and continued to check in on me. Their level of attentiveness was deeply moving. To top it off, the hotel gifted all guests a box of fresh local fruits, reflecting their warmth and generosity. 4. Location, Accessibility & Language Support The hotel is located in a fantastic area—peaceful, yet close to numerous eateries, shops, and amenities. The convenience of having everything within walking distance enhanced the entire experience. Despite being in a mountainous region, the hotel features a built-in lift, making it very accessible—something that’s not always common in small towns. For English-speaking travellers, one of the owners is a former English teacher, which made basic communication smooth and reassuring. 5. Community Feel The hotel sits beside a local primary school, which added a lovely, heartwarming touch to the environment. There’s a strong sense of community and kindness, not only within the hotel, but throughout the surrounding area. For those who value authentic, local experiences, this place feels like home. 6. Final Thoughts Although XiFuWan Resort Hotel only began accepting foreign tourists a few months ago, it is an absolute hidden gem that deserves more recognition among international visitors. If you’re considering a stay in Zhangjiajie, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this hotel a try. The care, hospitality, and personal touch truly set it apart. Without a doubt, I’ll be staying here again the next time I return to ZJJ.

GGuest UserAs a traveler who needs to balance online work, this place has surprised me. The whole house smart provides an efficient and convenient environment, and the high-speed network allows me to handle work at any time. The high-end toilet and free drinks are the embodiment of quality life, and the sky garden has become my open-air office, with a broad view and abundant inspiration. Take a walk to the Wulingyuan Marking Gate to relax your mind and body during the work break, exercise at the well-equipped gym in the evening, and the three lovely cats are also good companions to relieve stress. This balance of being able to work efficiently and experience nature deeply allows me to travel and work at the same time.
