The room is fully equipped and kept very clean. The mountain scenery outside the window is beautiful. The butler is warm and friendly, promptly helping to solve any problems. Very family-friendly, making our stay worry-free. We will definitely stay here again next time we bring our family to Zhangjiajie!

The room was spacious and clean, equipped with a mini-fridge and a projector. The best part about this guesthouse is its environment. Waking up in the morning, with mist shrouding the trees, you can really feel that picturesque 'purple smoke rising from the forest' vibe, and some rooms even offer mountain views right from the window. The owner's service was exceptional; they kindly dropped us off at the central gate in the morning and picked us up within minutes of calling in the evening. The guesthouse is very close to Zhangjiajie's central gate, which is super convenient for exploring Zhangjiajie without backtracking. If you have good stamina, you can even visit Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, and Tianzi Mountain all in one day. Although the guesthouse breakfast didn't have a huge variety, it was satisfying. The stir-fries had a home-cooked taste, light and delicious, and all the vegetables were home-grown. When we left, the lovely owner even personally picked some cucumbers for me to snack on during my journey – so thoughtful! Oh, I almost forgot, the guesthouse also offers farm-style picking activities. I'd love to come back during the off-season next time and stay for a few days, slowly enjoying some tea and relaxing!

Manxin was the third boutique hotel I chose for my trip to Hunan. It's located in a village nestled in the mountains. The owner leased nearly a hundred acres of land to create the idyllic farm he envisioned. Several two-story buildings are artfully scattered amidst rice paddies and lotus ponds. An infinity pool offers unparalleled views of the distant mountains. The rice seedlings have just been planted, and in a few months, one can truly experience the scene described by Xin Qiji: 'A bountiful harvest is spoken of amidst the fragrance of rice flowers, as the croaking of frogs fills the air.' **Environment:** The hotel's environment is exceptional. Surrounded by distant mountains, perched on a gentle slope, every room offers expansive views of lush greenery. The rice fields are close by, and at night, the sound of frogs fills the air. Each room boasts a large balcony. Sitting there, breathing in the fresh mountain air, sipping a cup of tea or coffee, time seems to slow down. **Hygiene:** The hotel's hygiene is top-notch. Despite being surrounded by farmland, there are surprisingly no mosquitoes or other insects in the rooms, which is quite rare. **Facilities:** As a meticulously crafted guesthouse, it offers all the amenities of a high-end hotel, especially the infinity pool with its unbeatable mountain views – truly an inspired touch. Of course, as a 'wild luxury' (my own definition) hotel, to encourage guests to truly reconnect with nature, the rooms intentionally lack televisions. This thoughtful decision is commendable! **Service:** Being far from the city, service is particularly important for guests. The hotel provides dedicated butlers who promptly address guests' questions and requests. Their efficiency is high, usually responding to guests almost immediately. The hotel offers complimentary airport/train station transfers, as well as unlimited complimentary transfers to the Zimu Pass (middle gate) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which is incredibly helpful for guests. **In summary:** This is a uniquely positioned hotel. For travelers who love nature, appreciate peace and a slower pace, and have high standards for hotel quality, this hotel is definitely worth a short stay. **Final Suggestion:** Given its rural location, its own farmland, and the fact that it raises poultry and bees, the hotel should further leverage its unique advantages in terms of ingredients and cuisine. It could also appropriately guide local farmers to cultivate organic vegetables, fruits, and various eco-friendly produce, making a beneficial contribution to rural revitalization. I believe some guests would appreciate this.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and the organization and service were simply unbeatable. From the very beginning, everything was taken care of perfectly. We were picked up from the train station by a private driver, and the hotel supported us extensively with planning our route through Zhangjiajie National Park. They arranged all the tickets and transfers for us, which made the whole experience incredibly easy and stress-free. When we wanted to visit Tianmen Mountain National Park for a day, the hotel once again recommended the best route for us and took care of booking the tickets. All of the reception staff spoke really good English, which made communication very easy throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, and there were always new little places to discover around the property. It is a particularly peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Our room was very spacious and had everything we could have wished for. The only small downside was that the mountain view was somewhat limited by the bamboo privacy screen. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety of options to suit every taste, ranging from classic Chinese dishes to Western breakfast favorites. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

I really appreciated my stay at the Barringo Inn. The service was excellent, and the entire hotel was spotlessly clean. A special shout-out to the guy at the reception—he was incredibly nice and went out of his way to be helpful throughout my visit. What really stood out to me was how reliable the hotel is. Before I even arrived in China, I ordered some parcels from Taobao and had them shipped to the hotel. They arrived early, and the receptionist kindly kept them for me for four full days until I checked in. That level of trust and care is truly unique and not something you experience everywhere. The location is another huge plus. The hotel is very close to many of Zhangjiajie's famous attractions, and practically everything you need is right nearby—supermarkets, restaurants, barbers, coffee shops, and traditional Chinese eateries are all within easy reach. If you're craving something different, you can even walk a little bit and find western options like pizza. It's incredibly convenient for any type of traveler. Overall, a fantastic experience—I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting! Next time I come back to Zhangjiajie, I will definitely book this hotel again without hesitation.

They also provide a lot of disposable toiletries and sanitizing products, offering everything you could think of and more, very thoughtful. Facilities: Projector, tea ceremony table, makeup mirror, bathtub, electric curtains. Environment: The decor is simple and looks very comfortable. The bed and pillows are also very comfortable. It's a 5-minute walk to the iconic gate, 7-8 minutes to the East Gate entrance turnstile, and a 16-minute walk to the Charming Xiangxi show theater. There are many delicious restaurants and several breakfast spots around the guesthouse, very convenient! Service: For this trip, I asked the owner to help book group tickets, which saved me a lot of money overall. The owner is very enthusiastic, not only helping to plan the itinerary but also almost instantly replying to any questions. Seeing that I was traveling alone and might feel unsafe, the owner even picked me up and dropped me off for the Charming Xiangxi show, which was very thoughtful. When I left, they also proactively helped me find a shared ride. They truly made my trip very comfortable and perfect, I'm so, so happy! 😁 I highly recommend this guesthouse! 👍🏻

The hotel boasts a great location, convenient parking, and clean, tidy rooms with beautiful night views! The breakfast selection was plentiful, and the rice noodles were delicious 🤤 The receptionists were warm and attentive, always ready to answer any questions 👍👍👍 The hotel is right next to the subway station (Yingwan Town Station), making it very convenient for getting around and sightseeing. It's only one stop away from Orange Isle and also very close to Yuelu Mountain Park. This time, I stopped by on my way back, so the itinerary was a bit rushed. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money - The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new. - The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush! - Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent. - Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors. 📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around - The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. - Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride. - As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away. 👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service - The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. I planned a 2-day trip, so she suggested entering via the East Gate on the first day and the South Gate on the second day. - She is always in a good mood and genuinely seems to love her work. Her bright energy makes talking to her an absolute joy 🤣 I was so impressed! - Her English is okay for basic communication, but for convenience and speed, we used WeChat. The translation feature made it smooth, and we understood each other perfectly. 🎟️ 4. Better ticket discounts through the hotel - I highly recommend this! If you need tickets, let the hotel book them for you—the prices are actually better than booking through popular travel apps. - Whether it's the national park ticket (she also helps book your entry time slot for every day you plan to visit—though if you want to change the time, you need to ask her to update it for you), Baofeng Lake, or the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, she can get them at a cheaper price. - Another perk is the unpredictable weather in Zhangjiajie. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free. 🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long) Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word. Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. The hotel name is directly indicated at Xiangjiang Middle Road Metro Station. It boasts an unbeatable river view overlooking Orange Isle. High-floor views of the river and bridge are stunning. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a strong artistic design vibe. This time, I stayed in a tatami room; it was spacious and well-equipped. They even provided children's hangers and toothbrushes. The bathtub was ergonomically designed. I enjoyed sitting on the sofa, admiring the river view, and sipping tea. The overall humidity and temperature in the hotel were just right, and the screens allowed the river breeze to lull me to sleep. The location is excellent, right by the river in front and directly leading to the bustling city center behind. It's an easy walk to Huangxing Middle Road for shopping and dining. The value for money is exceptional. Definitely the top choice for visiting Orange Isle.
