There's a common room upstairs where you can eat. They also offer a simple breakfast in the morning with coffee, juice, toast, and dinner rolls. The breakfast was really good, especially the dinner rolls. When toasted, the butter would ooze out – absolutely delicious! The famous Miyahara Eye Clinic is just a short walk away. Next time, if I need to, I'll ask them to help me get a lower bunk.

The location was superb, and even for a somewhat rare breed for a hostel like myself--the one that arrives by driving oneself, the location couldn't be better since it was right in front of a parking lot for a train station.
My only wish would be that they might look into the efficiency of their HVAC system or spend some dimes on deodorizers. I'm pretty sure it wasn't their negligence or anything like that, but due to odors emanating from some of their guests, it stank from time to time.

The location is fantastic. It's right next to the Chiayi Wenhua Road Night Market and very close to Chiayi Train Station, which is extremely convenient if you're heading to Alishan the following day. I chose a Japanese-style room. It was well-equipped and even included disposable slippers. Overall, the place was very clean. Great value for money.

The location is great, very close to Kaohsiung MRT station, which is very convenient. However, the shower area felt a bit dated, and the metal shelf had water stains. I also noticed a lot of hair in the women's restroom on my floor, which remained there for over a day, making me question if the staff cleans daily. The room itself was extremely dusty; dust was visible in every corner and covering the air conditioning vent. I was also assigned a windowless room, which resulted in poor air circulation. It felt like I was breathing in dust as I slept at night. Based on the photos, I assumed all rooms would have windows, but I was assigned a windowless room. I believe the booking process should offer an option to select a room with a window, providing more choice for guests who prefer one.

Location of hotel is excellent next to Gancheng station where our nantou bus from Sun Moon Lake stopped
.
Room was spacious; toilet has dry & wet separation. Self laundry is available with NT$40 per wash and NT10 per 10min dryer time..Overall a value added hotel.
Only disappointment was they asked guest to signed on an agreement to follow their instructions such as no throwing of toilet paper into toilet bowl, NT$200 for extra blanket etc.

Great hotel! Very comfortable beds, 9 different types of pillows you can choose, location is fantastic, it’s opposite the head temple of all Buddhism temples in Korea, worth paying a visit!
Stayed on December 6th. The decor was beautiful and the bathtub was huge. The water temperature was also consistent, not fluctuating between hot and cold. My kids had a great time playing in the spacious tub. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared. The only minor issue was some dust on the curtains!

Facilities: The facilities are standard, but very clean. On the first day of check-in, the elevator ceiling looked a bit broken – I'm not sure if it was part of the design or if a piece of fabric had fallen off 🌚.
Hygiene: It meets standard budget hotel hygiene levels; it's quite clean. However, there was an odor in the elevator when we arrived, a musty smell, perhaps due to the damp weather.
Environment: The overall hotel environment is good, and having a window was a big plus. Most importantly, after experiencing a moderate earthquake the day before, we were a bit on edge coming to Hualien, but our room actually had an escape device 😂, which really boosted our sense of security.
Service: The hotel staff were very friendly and patiently explained all the important details. This seems to be standard in Taiwan; everyone is wonderful, comfortable, and welcoming.
Location: First and foremost, the hotel's location is super convenient. You can find it right outside the train station, just a five-minute walk, which is great. For dining, there are mostly small local eateries nearby. For larger restaurants, you might have to walk a bit further. Since we were traveling with a baby, we ended up walking around for a while before returning to the train station area to eat. It was a slight inconvenience.
That's about it. Overall, it's quite good, mainly for the convenience and cleanliness, which were both met.
Oh, and for this price, it's excellent value for money. Plus, there's breakfast, and they even had steamed spareribs… definitely a big thumbs up!
Stayed in a single room this time
excellent:
1. It’s right in the city, 5 to 10 minutes’ walk away from banks/supermarkets/snacks/souvenir shops. The location is very good.
2. The environment is clean and the bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas.
3. Friendly service staff
Small disadvantages:
1. The sound insulation is poor. You can hear the sounds of cars/talks on the road next to you in the room.
2. Keep your feet facing the door directly

AAnonymous UserGood:
Location: Super close to the metro station exit. There are many local restaurants and shops nearby during the day, while at night, the district can be quiet with the nearest convenience store about 10mins walk away.
Amenities: Good lounge area to chill out, with water dispenser and beverages. The breakfast is basic but good if you're on a budget.
Bad:
The locker in the shared dorm can only fit cabin-sized luggage.
The sides of the bunk bed are quite dusty.
The iron available at the lounge is broken.
Overall, it's still a fuss-free place for a short stay.
LLengLeng323Location: Super close to Taipei Main Station, just turn left after exiting Z2 from the underground mall and cross one traffic light. There are also many eateries nearby, which is very convenient.
Cleanliness: This hostel is quite particular about environmental hygiene. I personally found it very clean, even the toilets and bathrooms.
Service: The front desk staff are all great. Since there are more Southeast Asian travelers, communication in English is generally fine, and their accents are quite American (thumbs up! 👍).
Overall: This time I booked a female dorm room with four beds. The room space was unexpectedly small, but the locker could fit a small suitcase, which was fine. Eating in the room is not allowed, only in the common area, which is reasonable as most hotels are like this. If you're just staying for a short while, I think this place is great and very affordable, plus the location is good. However, it's not ideal for business travel, unless you can book a private room (they do have non-dorm rooms).
Ggett124This hotel is very close to the taipei main station, easy access to red line metro line, but the room is quite old the lightning doesn't seems bright enough, bed is normal not very comfortable, but good value of money and big room size
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
MM484188****The hotel rooms are spacious and well-appointed. However, most of the wooden floorboards creak when walked on, the pillows are a bit firm, and the duvet is quite thick. I stayed on the 23rd floor this time, and the view directly overlooking the harbor and sea was incredibly pleasant. The hotel is also conveniently located, just a 10-minute walk from both the MRT and light rail stations.

CCP_LeeI write with much disappointment on your lapse in hotel service. I checked in on 3/12/25 and my son caught a cold. I was at the hotel lobby at 1.5hrs earlier requesting for a check in but it’s allowed. My son and I were left to rest n sleep at the lobby. No one came to us or any empathy shown at all.
The next day as my son was unwell n resting in the room, there was dragging sounds that can be heard from the room which lasted for about an hour plus. I called the reception and was told that there is no guest staying above my room 701 nor beside us. My hair stands and immediately requested for a change of room. Without empathy, the reception told me that it could housekeeping upstairs. I was even more puzzled n worried why is there housekeeping where there is no one staying above my room n beside my room? The reception mentioned that they will check again even though I requested for a change of room a few times. Finally, a lady who came to ‘help me’ change room. She given me a doubtful expression and asked me if the dragging sound is still there with no empathy. Thankfully after she asked, there are dragging sounds are heard. She was standing in my room to only see me scramble to pack my things with no apology or empathy. To make things worse, she asked me what time I want to have my breakfast the next day. I really do not appreciate the question when I busy packing my things to a new room. I was later told by the in charge for that day named Connie that the staff are trained not to help guest with their luggage. So is this the reason to show no empathy to your guests by asking the guests' breakfast timing?
The lady brought me to third floor but I do not feel good at the walkway as super dark and eerie feel and requested for another room.
On my final day staying at the hotel, I was given a call half an hour before 11am to ask to check out of the hotel. I had never encounter such thing before.
It then brings me the question whereby if your check in time is 6pm and your check out time is 11am, why then there is a need to rush guests out of the hotel? The hotel will have ample 7hrs for housekeeping. Also, if the room beside my room 701 n above unit has no guest staying, why is it that I cannot check in early on the day of arrival on 3/12/25 where my son is not well?
Even more shocking to me, during checking out of the hotel, I was given a document saying that I purchased laundry item which I did not. Imagine if it’s a confidential document that the staff reveal to a wrong guest? This is totally not professional. I requested for the names of staff and the email for me to feedback to the management but they are not willing to do it. I was standing at the front counter in the cold wind for 10 minutes requesting for it. It's really ridiculous! Later, the in charge that day named Betty finally succumb to my request but repeat rudely her name to me.
It's such a shame that the hotel is such a good location but I will seriously reconsider or even recommend anyone to stay in there again
I hope to hear from you on the above mentioned. Thank you.
HHongblaMy stay at T-hotel in Taichung was a breeze. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city. The room was modern, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my experience even better.
PPyayiWhen I go to Taipei, I always stay at this hotel. The location is very strategic, the staff is friendly, and the facilities meet the needs of solo travelers.
Each floor and even each room has a specific theme.
Ps, I really like buying drinks across the street from the hotel 😆
MM516343****This is a very convenient location with plenty of food and entertainment options nearby. The young men and women at the front desk were incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful, and attentive. They helped us plan our itinerary and transportation for our trip to Hualien Yilan, and also shared recommendations for delicious food and fun activities there. The room was also quite neat and clean, overall everything was excellent. Definitely recommend!
MMr.TouristWe had a good stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located just 5 minutes from bus stops and an 8-10 minute walk to the Metro station.
The room was clean, though there were some stains on the bedsheets. After I requested a change, staff promptly brought clean ones, which was great. Daily housekeeping kept everything tidy. Overall, a good choice!
