Clean, snow-white bed linen. Good Wi-Fi. There are enough shared bathrooms and toilets. There is coffee and tea. There is a microwave and a refrigerator in the kitchen. The hotel is quiet. Remote registration, a letter with a password is sent by mail.

Overall it's good experience stay here coz location superb, and accessible with public transport such as rapid Penang bus. Convenience shop located at same building, and also nearby to gurney drive which alot of local food stall. Not to mention gurney plaza, a shopping mall with various choices.

Appreciate: 1) Customer support WhatsApp replies very quickly and politely :). 2) Many food establishments nearby. Search “claypot restaurant” we ate there 4 days in a row even after shifting away from this hotel. 3) Swimming pool was nice and clean. 4) Antique decorations in the hotel looks amazing. 5) had 2 private carpark lots in the compound, there are parking spots outside of the compound as well, just unsure if it is legal. We were lucky to have at least 1 lot in the hotel during our stay. Can be improved: 1) Hotel has no reception, make sure customers gets their check in details before they arrive the hotel or at least just before 3pm. 2) Wifi speed can be faster. It failed a few times during my 3d2n stay there. The Mrs and I couldn’t even load google maps. Quite frustrating. Had to use my data. 3) Sound proofing maybe? We had a room facing the Main Street and in our room there’s a door that used to be able to open and go to the balcony but it’s blocked by a large wardrobe. This allowed the sound to travel through the door gaps. 4) toilet can be cleaner, check the floor traps and the make sure it’s clean, cleaner left a ball of hair stuck at the floor traps. 5) toilet floor can have anti slip strips. Really slippery. Had to ban my toddler from going into the toilet. 6) too many mosquitoes at the hotel. Fortunately we didn’t have it in our room.

The place is exactly as it appears in photos, modern and clean. The apartment is supplied with everything you need, including soap and shampoo. There is also a water filter attached to the kitchen sink, and all the utensils you need. You can tell that the owner has put a lot of thought and consideration into making the place pleasant to stay in. In terms of location, there are plenty of local restaurants, plus international places like a Korean restaurant and various fast food places such as Pizza Hut and KFC. We chose this apartment because it was near the airport and our flight was early in the morning. I definitely recommend choosing this place if you want to stay somewhere without tons of tourists and want to get a feel for local living.

If you want to make shared bathroom pls make sure its clean because all people use the bathroom. The room was okay but you can hear people walking since its made from wood. Got few spider web on the ceiling and the room is quite small for the price. If you want to have a short stay maybe its okay but if you want to have long stay you might find other place that have private bathroom and spacious room to walk around. Its not 24hours receptionist bcs when got back around 2am there’s no one at the counter. Overall the place is okay but please replenish and refurbish furnitures to help customer have a good stay at your hotel TQ

The best motel that I ever stay, clean room, quit place near beach side, fast response by owner even I just massage them at 10 a lock them can respond in 3minits, provide parking place and have food court near by just 200 meter away the place, while if you wanted have some drink at night just next to the motel

I stayed one night here for my medical check up at Island Hospital. It’s near only 3 mins walk (to Peel Wing-new building of Island Hospital) and it is only across the Macalister Wing of Island Hospital. So basically it is convenient for hospital’s patient. Check in was good, required MYR 100 deposit (they’ll give you back once you check out). They give towels and body soap only for amenities. Got water heater also. No bedside table, so I have to put a chair to charge my phone. There’s a fan and aircon, I can’t adjust the aircon temperature though, the remote is there but no battery and I tried to use tv remote battery, nothing happen. No restaurants or food stall near the hotel, can order from grab or just walk around to find food. Well, overall it’s value for money hotel. For medical trip to Island Hospital, this could be a good choice. Other than that, personally I would choose another hotel closer to other things in town.

The hotel is located in a town centre near coffee shop, food court, Chinese restaurant and convenience store such as 7-11 or Watson. There is no hotel name sign beware to walk passed the hotel. The room is small but good enough for us. They are provided shower amenities, hair dryer, in-room television with youtube but No refrigerator inside the room only at the hall area which is not clean. Stairway are small too. Anyway We are highly recommended 😊

Firstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)

Location - very strategic. Near to eateries within 5 minutes walk whether north, south, east or west directions for Chinese, Japanese, Malay and mamak stalls or restaurants. Also, 5 mins walking distance to Komtar. Room - clean. Pillows a bit flat. A bit noisy Staff - Fuad was a gem. Friendly , helpful and informative on where to eat and what buses/transportation to take. Thanks, a lot as it make our life so much easier.

The person in charge responded quickly, but only informed me half an hour before check-in that check-in would need to be delayed. After entering, I found that one door was locked, and I had to contact the person in charge again.

Just a perfect intro to Penang and Georgetown. A beautiful little place, halfway between an upscale hostel and a boutique hotel. It was my first visit to Penang, and initially I'd reserved at another, highly rated, Georgetown hotel, but my heart sank when I checked in, looked at the rows of identical rooms, talked to the front desk staff who had no enthusiasm for their World Heritage city and minimal knowledge of what to see, where to go. I immediately checked out! I checked TripAdvisor, and Carnarvon House was just a 15 minute walk away -- in a much more traditional part of town. What a contrast! It's in a quiet side street in the middle of traditional Georgetown, a small hotel with beautifully restored internal and external features. Greeted by Nicole, the super friendly, knowledgeable co-owner, I admired the internal patio garden, the welcoming guest coffee/common room, and the choice of rooms. The upscale hostel part? There are no ensuite bathrooms -- the traditional and original layout doesn't allow room for that. But there are easily adequate toilet-shower-sink cubicles. As a solo visitor, I much enjoyed meeting other guests -- young folks and couples from all parts of the world -- in the common room area. And Nicole was so helpful in advising about how to explore Penang -- and restaurant recommendations. A better concierge than in most upscale hotels! A perfect place for a perfect Penang visit.

First time to Penang, and first time staying in a bed and breakfast, did not think that checkin was very simple, called the waiter was very happy to help us, came in to stay at home, very good air conditioning, the first time The waiter will call to ask if the room is satisfactory, we stayed in a bed and breakfast to cook seafood for the first time, the accommodation home is very neat 😘😘

A hidden hotel in a deep alley ・Good A small beach is just 100m away. The rooms are on the second floor and are facing the sea and residential, but let's choose the sea side. It's great to see the ocean at this price point. The room made the bed every day, and the shower has hot water. It seems to be well maintained. And no adhan is heard. ・Concerns The size of the room is on par with Japanese business hotels, that is, it is small. In addition, since it is a hotel for overnight stays without meals, there are concerns about security, so it is better to avoid it for single women and families. It's a Chinese environment, so you can hear firecrackers going off and people making noise in the corridor or outside at night. It may be better to avoid celebrations such as the Chinese New Year. ・Remark This hotel is located in a mausoleum Therefore, you can appreciate the uniqueness of the Chinese atmosphere. The lobby is on the 1st floor, but sometimes it's closed because the janitor is out to make the bed. Also, I visited at 12 o'clock before check-in, but it seemed that it was ready and I was put in the room, so I can expect a flexible response.
