Environment: The facilities are very new, and the bedding is good too.
Service: The front desk service is excellent, with staff on duty at night, which is convenient for check-in and check-out.
Location: Convenient, with many dining options nearby.
Transportation: It's located in George Town, a bit far from the Old Town on foot (but fine if you like walking). You can take the bus, but you have to wait đ. Ride-sharing apps like Grab are convenient.
Security: There's security, and the elevator requires a key card, so it's quite safe.
Hygiene: For an apartment hotel, it's exceptionally good. Free daily cleaning is offered, but you need to inform the front desk.
Swimming Pool: Very good, many families with children were playing there.
'Office hotel'. Spacious space. Natural light. Got water dispenser on the outside corridor on certain levels. Clean and neat. Restaurant Nasi Kandar nearby. Most important thing is there's free parking. No hassle to think about overnight parking charge. But you need to get the parking card before the office close, and before you enter the parking floor.
Our stay in the Coast Suite was great! It had two separate rooms, which was perfect for our group as we had different schedules and didn't disturb each other. We shared a bathroom. The hotel facilities were complete, and toiletries were promptly replenished. We noticed the toilet was leaking after checking in, and maintenance sent someone to fix it right away. The Indian housekeeping staff was polite and enthusiastic, and the front desk receptionists were attentive and responsible.
View from the apartment was amazing and just need to look through the window and you see the blue sky and ocean. Just that the apartment they gave us has 3 rooms and if you book 2 rooms they will locked up the one of the room. The issue is that when we checked in they just let the 3rd room open and we thought we could used it until the security guard came and knock the door and said he has to lock up one of the rooms.
The Location, cleanliness, and service are all excellent. We just hope that the toilet and bath space is more spacious. Another thing is that we were able to enjoy and experience the breathtaking New Year's countdown fireworks from the historic skyline of Georgetown City at the hotel's common area terrace. See the photo taken during that time below.
We stayed in a family room on the 3rd floor, but the internet connection was very poor and the Wi-Fi was weak. We couldn't use our phones in the room, which was really inconvenient. The bathroom and other areas, however, were clean and good.
This accommodation is perfect for families and very convenient for independent travelers. It's configured as a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and a bathroom, which is a huge plus for those not used to the local cuisine, allowing you to easily prepare your own meals â cooking noodles or hotpot, for instance, would be excellent. The property also boasts a swimming pool and offers lovely sea views from the window. However, there are a couple of drawbacks: the windows aren't very soundproof, and the curtains aren't blackout, which makes it hard to sleep in. Despite these minor issues, it's a great choice for independent travelers.
This century-old shophouse is exquisitely decorated, clean, and beautiful. The complimentary afternoon tea for a two-night stay exceeded our expectations â it was both beautiful and delicious. The owners are incredibly kind, and communicating in Chinese was effortless. Its central location in the old town makes it the perfect choice for exploring Penang's food scene and attractions.
The unit was clean and our host was responsive to our queries. Checking in was a breeze with the reception. The kids really enjoyed the pool. We could simply walk around to nearby shops and restaurants due to its convenient location. However, we had to wait a long time for one of the four lifts especially around noon time as many people were checking out. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay for us.
It is rather disappointing that while that room is simple and nice, it seriously lacked the basic necessities of the room. Pls take note that there are no room slippers provided and the floor clearly is not cleaned (our socks are black as we did not bring our own slippers). The WiFi is also not stable, firstly we couldn't even find our room WiFi and the technician came to fix it. However, the connection was lost on and off hence, very frustrating.
Pls also take note that there is no daily cleaning / refreshing of the rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and we had to make do with how we entered the room from 1st day to last day. :(
Besides the location, we probably wont come back to stay again, unless the management of apartment decided to improve the level of service and amenities provided to guests.

GGuest UserCertainly! Below is a **detailed, balanced, and constructive review template** for **Hangoutspacez Queensbay** (or a similar budget/co-living space in Penang). Since this isnât a widely documented property, Iâll structure it generically so you can adapt it based on your actual experience.
---
### **Hangoutspacez Queensbay â Honest Review**
**Location: â â â â â** (4/5)
- **Pros:** Close to Queensbay Mall (5â10 min walk), easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport. Convenient for business travelers (Bayan Lepas tech zone) or tourists exploring Penangâs south.
- **Cons:** Not in the heart of tourist spots like George Town (requires Grab/taxi).
**Cleanliness: â â â ââ** (3.5/5)
- **Pros:** Daily cleaning for common areas; linens provided are fresh.
- **Cons:** Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., slow drain in showers, worn-out furniture). Budget vibeâdonât expect luxury.
**Facilities: â â â ââ** (3/5)
- **Pros:** Free WiFi (decent speed), communal kitchen, and lounge area. Good for solo travelers or digital nomads.
- **Cons:** No gym/pool; shared bathrooms can get crowded during peak hours.
**Staff & Service: â â â â â** (4/5)
- Friendly and helpful for local tips, but limited 24/7 front desk support.
**Value for Money: â â â â â** (4/5)
- Affordable for Penang (around RM50â100/night for dorms). Ideal for short stays, but may lack long-term comforts.
**Room for Improvement:**
1. **Better Soundproofing** â Noise from common areas can be heard in private rooms.
2. **More Power Outlets** â Limited charging points in dorms.
3. **Clearer House Rules** â E.g., quiet hours or kitchen cleanup policies.
**Verdict:**
A **no-frills, social budget stay** best suited for backpackers, solo travelers, or those attending nearby events. Manage expectationsâitâs functional but not luxurious.

### **How to Use This Review Constructively:**
- **If Youâre a Traveler:** Compare with alternatives (e.g., Tune Hotel, capsule hostels). Prioritize location vs. price.
- **If Youâre the Property Owner:** Address cleanliness/maintenance, add clear signage for rules and maybe create any accessible lockers available to utilize the space in the efficient manner.
KKen EveRoom door should upgrade to electronic access instead of key locking mechanism and no extra lock from inside... Feeling unsafe but overall room very clean and spacious...
GGuest UserThe surrounding is very convenient. There is a Starbucks and Family Mart downstairs. There is a good local Malay coffee and tea chain store. The breakfast we had there every day was great. There is also a Western bar with good steaks and salads. There are also some grocery stores nearby where locals shop. There are food stalls within a ten-minute walk. There is a fitness trail for leisure right by the beach. The room is large and fully equipped. It can accommodate up to five people. The landlord can be added on WeChat. He provided us with a lot of help during our stay!
AAnonymous UserStaff very friendly & helpful. It just that the room can be quite noisy when it's raining & it just happen to be thunderstorm the day we go there. The room also got leaking everywhere but the staff really helpful that they try to help us with our thing

GGuest UserStayed on the 27th floor, fantastic view! The apartment was spacious and had everything adults needed, but most importantly, it was incredibly convenient and well-equipped for children: a high chair, crib, baby bath, etc. We had a great family vacation. Definitely recommend it!!!!
GGuest UserHomestay (a Semi-D corner lot) is new, spacious and very clean. It fits us (family of 6) comfortably. Shops and.restaurants are just 3 mins drive away. Check in & check out were super easy. To reach the amenities, one need to have a car to stay in this homestay. It is also quite far from Balik Pulau town center.
This homestay is monitored by CCTV inside out (except for bedrooms). Since we are Muslim family, we request to switch off the CCTV inside the homestay which the owner did without any question asked.
The only part we were quite reluctant was the garden where the grass has been kept by owner untrimmed. We cant use the table outaide for our evening tea/coffee and we have to keep the side doors closed all the time fear that such garden could be home to some harmful animals. We ask the owner to trim the garden but the owner says such garden has been kept in such a way due to the following reason:
âto maintain a balance between a relaxing homestay and the wild, beautiful nature of Penang Island. Plenty of birds and critters make their home in our garden, and neighborhood cats also find sanctuary in the grass.â I agree to disagree.
QQueenNLinWe had a family gathering here. The house is nice. Can fit big family. We had fun here. But I think the house is not properly clean well. The house stairs is dusty in the corner of the railing holder. Even in our bed room under the bed is very dusty and have some left over tissue and panty liners plastic. The toilet is not clean. Itâs very dirty as I wipe the floor the wet tissue become black. The bed sheet also have bag worm. Luckily I already have some experience with previous house this time I bring my own bed sheet and pillow. So I change all. Didnât use theirs. I just fold and put aside. The house swimming pool is ok except the part where the tiles is coming out and have some broken part. One of my family members feet is injured do to the sharpness. Also have some issue with checking in as we arrive at 3pm and wait until 3.30 the house is not ready yet. We come back after we had lunch at 4ish something we already Over all is a nice experience staying here. If u can maintain this place better. Will definitely and recommend this house to others. And we will repeat. Thank you.
